Somewhat vague in his teaching. All tests are based on lectures. Online quizzes are from book only. Very liberal when it comes to grades, projects..... If you are persistent, he'll give you a break.

open notes for tests, just do the project and come to the reviews and you'll do ok. he is super nice and a great teacher! would highly recommend.

Very easy class. Professor allows yo to take your notes to the exam, not that you really need them because the exams are easy. Take advantage of the final project, it's very simple and will definitely help you get an easy A. Professor is funny and very nice but do not expect to learn too much.

Professor drakatos is a kind, professional, and very outgoing person. If you want to learn from him, he is always ready to transfer his knowledge. And whenever you need help he is always ready and approachable. If you want to have a great experience and learn the most important of your career field take a class with professor drakatos.

This is the 2nd class I take with him. He has a great and free teaching system. He will take care of you if you want to learn. The project is great at the end because it is in this way that he encourages you to work in groups. The professor is understanding but yet very informative in the field. I definetly understand stat now!

Prof. Drakatos is great! I took ISM4210 online and he knows the material, answers email very fast, is approachable and always reachable. Most of al he is VERY flexible. He tries to always accomodate every student even reopening tests for those who have missed the date. Trust me, other professors don't do this. Take the class with him!

I took ISM4220 online with Prof. Drakatos. Granted, I've been in IT for a while so I knew most of the material but he is a great teacher. I liked how considerate he was with students especially after the hurricane. He was flexible with exams and quizzes and made sure to respond quickly to emails and the forum. I definitely recommend him!

i've been to this (3hr) class like three times this semester. its great because he posts all his lectures online, the tests are online. And the book's website is the best because it gives some excel templtes with formulas where you can just put it the information from the word problems and it gives you the answer.

Class is easy. He wont answer your emails. You practically see a couple of words from him douring the semester and thats it. Its all on you to study for tests. His exams have some question from quizes. Relatively easy and fun for the slacker.

He explains very well in class. He tells you what is important to know, what to study for the exam, and help those who needed the extra help. His syllabus will tell you exactly what you needed to know and to do through out the semester. I am highly recommending others to take classes with him.

Nice teacher. At times he is not very clear & will confuse the hell out of you with his examples. Despite that, he makes the class super easy. Gives you VERY close example questions that will appear on the exam & tells you what to and not to expect. Completely easy going professor & laid back professor. A definite recommendation!

Drakatos is an extremely fair teacher. He knows his material and can get the message across very well. He is too nice to his students and doesn't get the respect that he deserves in his large classes. In order to fully benefit from his class, take the smaller classes even if they are hybrid.

Would take again! Prof. Drakatos enjoys teaching and this translates onto his lectures. The book can be a bit tedious, but P.D. also uses slides from an easier text that are very helpful. Step-by-step instructions to the homework questions are also available. Attendance is not mandatory but recommended. Do your work and get an easy A.

This class is online therefore, if you need any help this professor goes out of his way to help you out. In every chapter he has special notes that help you and prepare you for the exam. He is very knowlegable professor. I reccomend only to people that make an effort to get an A.

I took Professor Drakatos for 3 classes, 2 of them were conducted online and 1 in the classroom. He's fun and very lenient. But he knows what he is talking about and doesn't lecture straight from the textbook. He actually puts his own experience into the classroom. I would recommend him to anyone!

This professor is just the coolest guy ever! His is very smart and knows his stuff and he makes this class fun. His test come str8 from his the text- book. His grading is extremely fair and he gives A LOT of extra credit points for class discussions. You must participate and you must buy the book. I highly recommend him.

Great professor, this class is not for slackers that want an easy grade. Took the class online. He gives two tests (Midterm and Final) 40% each, the remaining 20% is class participation. Each test has 25 questions. He is always there to answer questions and his style of teaching is great.

This has been the best professor I have ever taken. Very lenient towards students. Gets involved in class discussions unlike other teachers do. He interacts with students daily and responds back quickly. If you ever need help he goes out of his way to help you. He gives 2 test 40% each and 20% for participation you must post and thats your A.

Great teacher. His method of teaching actually forces you to learn which is good. His test are not too hard they are fair. He gives special chapter notes which have very similar problems there that you will run into in the mid-term and final. Make sure to post questions and anwers postings because he counts that at the end towards you final grade.

Summer of 2009 - Easy class, basically gives you the test, do your homework and study (with a group so you can talk to each other). I would take him in person, not online (but that's just my preference).Doesn't collect hw,gives you the participation points automatically (attendance not mandatory) Tests are open notes/book. Funny guy.

Just finished this class for summer A.I suggest you read the chapter that he's gonna go over beforehand so that you can keep up. Study groups were extremely helpful. Practice the homework. GO TO CLASS unless you like being lost.I got an A in the class.

This professor is really nice. Very enthusiastic. Sloppy handwriting at times when showing examples. You would really need to understand what he's doing in order to understand his notes/examples. Listen to what he tells you to study or whatever he focuses on teaching cuz that will be on the test. He doesn't put in extra stuff that he doesnt go over

Online class: 2 exams open book, but you need to understand the where are the numbers coming from to do well on exams. The class is basically statistics. Recommended! :)

ONLINE. 2 exams (40% each), each 25 mc questions. Lots of theory! participation (20%). Professor a little disorganized. Make sure you read his special notes and hot study topics he posts on the discussion board. Great Professor. He is very helpful. I took this class online and he gave everyone full credit for participation (10%). The tests are not too difficult because he provides notes with 'hints' as to what to expect on the midterm (40%) and the final (40%).

I definitely recommend this professor to all of you who want to pass this class very easily. If you read the professor's notes and do all the problems that he suggest in syllabus (there are not so many) you don't have to study anything else. We made a studying group of 5 people, each of us did a little bit and we all did excellent on the exams!

I took this class online and this professor truly made it one of the easiest and best experiences I have had at FIU with an online class. I totally recommend him. Only a midterm and a final (each 45% of grade) and 10% participation. Read his class notes and do the problems and you WILL PASS!

This class is very hard. You MUST study and participate to pass. Quizzes are easy. Same questions that appear on the practice quiz on the publisher's site. Easy 100%. Midterm and final are hard. You must understand the concepts fully and know how to apply them to the questions. Hardest class in my college experience.

great professor, took class online. It is very challenging but if you try hard you can pass with an A. Read his notes and do the H.W. Has 6 quizzes 15%, participation on discussion board 15%, Midterm 35%, Final exam worth 35% of your grade. on the Test exams he gives you 2 hours for 25 questions. I think he is the best stat professor to take in FIU

He makes the class beyond easy. Show up and take notes. He basically gives you all the answers before the exam. He practices problems over and over again and makes sure you understand it. Exams are open-book.

These last comments are actually extremely inaccurate. Prof. Drakatos strived to help everyone achieve a better grade by just giving the entire class an extra 10 points and bonus points on the exam. He could have easily not been generous and only gave you what you deserved. He's really helpful and will work with any problems and questions you have.

Easy A. You don't have to show up all the time. Take notes, go over HW problems and do his exam reviews. He'll answer all the questions you'll have. TAKE HIM!

Prof. D is pretty amazing; aside from being a wonderful person he really care about his students. The rules are pretty simple, YOU MUST study in order to do good as in any other course. There are two exams, open book, they could get a little confusing given that its Stats, but the class is pretty easy overall.

Statistics is a complicated subject for many of us, and we need to practice a lot in order to get a good grade. I believe the negative comments come from students that are lazy and do not like to study. Prof. Drakatos's class is very interesting, he is very professional and I really appreciated him as a mentor this past semester.

Only midterm and final. Do the online quiz for each ch (only 6 total, 3 ch each exam)its not graded but some questions appear on the exams. Exams are open notes open book, print out the stuff he has on Blackboard. Go to class, he goes over some questions that appear on the exams. If you have the 3hr class, he lets us out like an hr early.

The material isn't difficult, you just need to practice. He gives reviews but they're not 100%, it's more of past problems. Overall, might be better to take online. I got an A-

If you can take him for QMB 3200, take him. I took him online, my friend took him in class. I would suggest in class better, but overall, if you participate and pay attention to the notes, there is no way you are going to fail the class. )

Excellent professor! The class was very easy yet informative. If you just study and review the quizzes, you should pass with an easy A. The two exams are basically the same questions from the chapter quizzes AND you get two detailed study guides. If you get anything lower than a B in this class it's your own fault. A chimp could pass this class

I took this professor in a face-to-face class and honestly it was really good. He knows the material, and yes he has an accent , but you can understand everything he says no problem. There are only two exams, midterm and final, and they are both open book. I got a b- but honestly I could have gotten a better grade if I had bought the book lol

Easy A if you go to class and participate. Take notes as he hints what may be on the exam and allows open notes during exams. The class focuses on the business and project management aspect of TCN which makes easy the research, design, and analysis of a network. Excellent prof, he prepares you for the industry. Take Network Management too. TCN 4431

The class has two tests, and a participation grade. There is not only a heavy expectation, but outright necessity to read and participate in the Canvas forums. Information critical to taking the test will be found there. Overall not a bad professor to take, the class content is organized and can be found in each module.
