best lab instructor!
She really makes a two hour class go by quickly.
Nice lady super helpful willing to help you with whatever
Best lab instructor I've ever had.
The BEST instructor at La Crosse. She is extremely easy to follow and genuinely cares about her students. Lab isn't bad. You can really learn in her class and she talks about topics that grab your attention.
ONE OF THE BEST LAB INSTRUCTORS.. she mad class so much fun and helped you so much!!!!
Very good choice for a gen ed class and instructor
Cool & The Gang!
one of the best
Dr. Anglehart is great! I went from hating every science class I've ever taken to being completely interested in Microbiology. She's a very fun teacher, and makes the lectures enjoyable. She's extremely easy to talk to- you can go to her with any question
Awesome prof. Probably one of the best profs I've had here. Makes lectures intresting and is always willing to help out.
Sue is the best science teacher I've ever had. For someone not good at science, and especially microbiology, she makes this class interesting and also an opportunity to do well.
Very nice and "in tune" with her students, but at the same time challenging. Students who don't like science will not like this class. Good at explaining things. Take a lot of notes and she likes to talk a lot. Exams are challenging. Studyi
best class i've taken here. she is so awesome!
She's definitely the best professor I've had so far! She's a great lecturer and you don't fall asleep in her class! She really cares that you're learning and makes micro. a lot of fun.
Had her last semester in linked course (w/HIS101). Definitely one of the best. Great lectures - timely and interesting. Tests ARE challenging. Clue: Pay attention, take notes, do your readings, and study! Very approachable, this is a student's prof.
i really injoyed her lectures. They were interesting and she know alot about the subject. The tests are totally based on her lectures so it was so easy to study for them.
She is definitely one of my favorite professors. Sue gets so passionate towards any science thing. It's hilarious! She is very easy to listen to and is willing to help you understand the material better at any time. Try and get into her labs too.
She is very helpful and willing to help. Very approachable. Take easy notes, and no required reading. Tests are bearable, study sessions the day before. Definitely one of my favorites! Very passionate about what she does. GREAT!
Very nice and personable. Does a pretty good job at holding ppl's attention even though it's Microbiology.
The BEST Mic 230 lab instructor by far!! Makes lab fun and interesting and explains things in a manner that's easy to understand. Always willing to go out of her way to help you out. Taking MIC230? Do everything in your power to have her for lab!!
This is a great class, especially if it's conjoined with HIS 101. I enjoyed it a lot. She is very clear, very helpful, always has study sessions before exams. She's really passionate about what she does. Great teacher, and a great class for a science Gen Ed.
She is a very good teacher. You can tell she is really passionate about what she does. She always gives you clear notes and powerpoints on D2L, so if you miss class, it isn't a big deal! She is a very fun teacher. I recommed her, especially if you aren't very interested in science!
She is an amazing teacher. Labs can drag on and you will be happy to have them done. The class can be tricky so study hard.
Didn't have her for a full class. She asks for everyone to write down their major and she goes through and tells people if they should be in another class so they don't waste their time and money. She shows she cares about the students. Shes a cool person.
She's a very good tacher. LAbs are fun and easy with her. But her tests are pretty darn harda and detailed, so study!
Great teacher. Must study hard for the class, but she is really passionate and interesting. Tells you flat out the tests are hard. Some of the stuff on the tests tho are not discussed in class, can be angering.

Very helpful, not only with class material but also special circumstances that may arise that she can help with. Lectures are easy to follow and makes what can be a somtimes boring subject enjoyable.
One of the best teachers I've had.
Very helpful and passionate about microbiology. Lectures are easy to follow and she makes them interesting.
I LOVE HER! Angelhart is the best professor i've had yet and really knows her stuff! She does whatever she can to help you understand. The exams were difficult for me, but im horrible at Science. But still with lab and a few other easy assignments I'll end up with a decent grade. She's fun--DO take her!! you won't regret it! :)
Angelhart is awesome! I don't particularily like science classes, but she was so smart and obviously likes what she does, which made me interested in the class. She is super nice and the lectures are not at all boring. Great professor...get her if you can!!! :)
I HATED science before this class, but Angelhart made it so interesting. She is so passionate about her subject and just makes the class fun. The tests are hard if you dont keep up with the material, but if you study they are a breeze. Overall she is an amazing teacher!
I would recommend her to anyone. I really hated science before this class, but she's really fun and is really passionate about her subject, which makes it fun. She's also a GREAT lab prof. Wonderful lady.
awesome but lab with bonnie is horrible, 2 hours long, and confusing as hell!
extremely nice and tests are not overly hard.
She's the best science teacher I've ever had. Lectures are really clear and she's very passionate about the subject. You definitely have to study for the tests, but there's lots of other little assignments and points that can help if you bomb a test.
Fairly easy class if you show up to lectures and then study the test. There is one oral history project, quizzes and exams and very little homework. The test come right from the notes- she post powerpoint slide outlines on D2L so its easy to take notes. Rarely used the book. 2nd half she offered review sessions.
Excellent teacher. Loves the material. Definately cares for her students and will help anyway she can. Helps students find a career path for those who are looking in a science direction. Uses very clear power point presentations which quite helpful. Tests are fairly easy as far a microbiology standards go,but a little studying is definately needed.
I had absolutely no interest in science going into this class, but Anglehart made it so interesting, I changed my major to Microbiology! By far the best prof. I've ever had. Also, this class has much more practical life application than most gen. ed. science classes.
I love Sue! Biology/Science does not interest me at all, but I was actually motivated to go to lecture & learn. She is very easy to listen to & explains things very well. It's good to go to lecture if you want a good grade and you could get by not reading the book, but if you want that "A", I would recommend reading the text. Take this class!
She knows her stuff. Very VERY VERY passionate about her teaching, and is always answering our questions. Class itself is somewhat challenging for a simple gen. ed., but shes the best teacher for it. She is down to earth too. Very nice lady.
Sue was a sweet woman. Her lectures are boring, but aren't they all? She does not take attendance but its hard to catch up if you aren't there. Lab is extremely boring and a waste of time, but show up or you'll be way behind. Her tests are extremely hard though, so study everything in depth!
I just got my grade and she hadn't even entered the rest of the scores!!!! I could have gotten a higher grade but will never know because she didn't put the final or our lab points in the grade and still gave us the final grade! That was total BULL! DON'T TAKE HER she will screw you over.
She teaches a hard class, but she is a very good teacher. Wants to do all she can to have students understand the material, and will answer any questions that one has. If taking MIC 100, take Anglehart if at all possible.
Sue was my favorite professor. She is very nice and wants you to succeed in this class. She made her lectures interesting; lab was fun. I love that she likes to just talk with her students about anything that's going on. She's very down to earth. I loved her.
Sue Angelhart is one of the best professors I've had at UWL. She is very knowledgeable and makes hard information a breeze. She let you ask questions during class and will answer them. Also she stays on topic and gives meaningful assignments. I really suggest taking MIC 100 with her you will be glad you did.
Dr. Anglehart is an extremely helpful professor. She teaches a tough class, like all intro biology courses, but she is so helpful and wants everyone in her class to suceed. Tests and Quizes are hard and lab is where you can make up some points. I would sugjest not taking Anglehart as your lab instrutor though, if you want a better grade!!
Worst teacher I've had so far. She uses vocabulary that can't possibly be understood for a 100 level course. And she is one of the most unhelpful professors I have ever met. Take someone else.
i just saw the previous rating and almost laughed out loud at how stupid it was. sue is the best! if you don't like her, then you are screwed cuz you will get no better.
I wasn't sure about her the first week or so. But she really shows that she loves what she's teaching. I was very impressed with her. In her 2 lectures she has over 150 students yet she knew almost everybody's names. She is really good about putting class content and grades online. Take advantage of her study guides/ key terms that she sends you!
One of the best professors here. She was so helpful and really wanted you to learn. I was really nervous to take a science class but it was really interesting. She made sure you could get extra help if you needed it. TAKE HER!!
great teacher! just dont forget to study the lecture powerpoints aiot!!!!
She is super nice and has the best random stories to tell. She made going to class worth it. Go to class, study your notes, review the power points and you will be good.
Sue was by far my favorite professor. She is super helpful and knew everyone's name by the end of class even though she only had lecture. Her teaching style is great! Don't think that makes the class super easy though. If you are willing to put in the effort, go for it, and you won't regret it. If you're lazy, not a good choice.
The material is very difficult. however, she is a tremendous professor and really wants you to do well. Volunteers herself for study sessions prior to test and really tries to help you. Tough material though. Worked HARD for an A-.
SUE IS THE BEST! She is one of the nicest professors I have ever met. Extremely helpful and is always available during office hours. She was the reason i went to class everyday! LOVEEEEE and completely RECOMMEND!
Sue is awesome! I felt like she really enjoyed teaching and cared about her students. Although the class is not super easy, Sue makes it a lot easier to understand and breaks down the material. If you study your notes a lot, you should do fine. I also recomend taking Micro Bio over Bio, for teachers! It was fun! And a great professor!
I've been at UWL for 3 years now and Sue is one of the best professors I've had. Extremely helpful. Material was easy and Sue did a good job of teaching it. Very few assignments so not a lot of work. Getting an A in her class is no problem at all.
She is fair in her test and grading. Lecture is a lot of practical things that are on-topic and have to do with current events more than the textbook. I'd still study for her tests fairly hard, but it's not a bad class overall.
amazing teacher
I am terrible at science, period. I really struggled with this class because I had no background knowledge, and you are expected to know more than the basics coming into the class. Sue is really helpful, but it is a tough class. Pay attention and know EVERY slide on the PowerPoint because everything you she talks about is on the test!
She is a very good teacher and is fair in her grading. She is willing to help you and truly cares about you. Take her if possible.
Sue really cares about her students. She tries to get to know everyone and is always happy to answer questions. I highly recommend taking her for any micro labs.
Sue is the sweetest, most helpful professor ever; she is more than happy to give you extra help if you need it. Her exams and quizzes follow her lectures and there's pretty much no reason to read the book, which is awesome!
Absolutely wonderful! Helpful, fair, and caring. By far the best professor I have ever had.
Sue is one of the nicest prof's I've encountered at UWL. She gets to know students and wants you to succeed. Very helpful if you ask for it but somedays can get crabby quickly. Picky grader but tries to by fair. I would take her again.
Really liked this class! Kept it super relevant. Definitely attend lecture. Not a terribly difficult class if you pay attention and take good notes.
shes really nice and knows how to make the class interesting. I didn't want to take it but had to for a science gen ed, but by the end of the semester it was the only class I wanted to go to. You will need to study but not too much. Defiantly recommend her!!
Probably the best instructor to take for micro. lab. She's just a hoot. Always happy to answer ANY of your questions. Just a really good instructor, as far as teaching and personality go. A little picky on grading, but not that big of a deal.
She is a really nice instructor, but her tests for a gen ed are RIDICULOUS. Mostly short answer, and fill in the blank and you literally have to know eveerything. sick joke
Sue is an awesome teacher. The tests can be challenging but she does cover all the material on tests in class. She's easily approachable and will help you if you have questions. If you have to take this as a gen ed, take Sue.
I absolutely loved having Sue as my professor. Personally, I found the microbiology course to be rather challenging, but she helped me get through it. She is easy to talk to and will go above and beyond to help any student. I would highly recommend taking her.
Sue is really helpful and really wants you to understand the material although it is pretty challenging for a gen ed. She also has a good sense of humor which lightens up the long lectures.
Sue was a great professor and I strongly recommend going to her office hours if you need the help. The class itself was a really hard gen ed for me, but Sue really tried to make sure everybody understood the course material and she's a great prof that I would take again
Sue is the toughest grader I've ever experienced. she picks apart all tesst and assignments until she finds a reason to take points off. Her lectures and powerpoints are completely unorganized and she scatters random information everywhere. Do not take her class. Extremely boring as well.
Seriously one of the best professors I've ever had. She really wants her students to make sure they know and understand the material but she also has a lot of trust that you'll be an independent learner. As the head of the MIC dept, she's extremely knowledgable and also super willing to help with anything you need, whether it's for her class or not
Sue is honestly the best Prof I have ever had at UWL. You can tell she cares about her students as she blocks off time for each of her classes for students to come in for review sessions. Her lectures are fun, and really interesting. She is the one prof that will not go on to new material if the class isnt understanding, and I love that!
I was not looking forward to taking this course, but Sue made it both interesting and fun. Some of the course material is tough to understand, but she does a great job of ensuring that all students are on the same page before moving on. She is always accessible outside of class and willing to help students. I would highly recommend!
I was very nervous coming into this class and thought I would end up doing horrible, I do not like science courses at all. Sue made the lectures interesting and engaging. By the end of the semester I felt as if I had learned a lot from her and the lectures. She made the material interesting, which made class go by faster. Highly recommend!
Sue is an extremely boring lecturer so if you have trouble focusing normally do not take her classes. She is not very understanding either, I had my dog destroy a take home quiz she gave and asked for another one and she got extremely offended that I needed another copy.
Sue was super knowledgable and fun. This class was the highlight of my schedule because of the conversations we have and the interesting material. The exams were very detailed you have to study literally everything. Also, you may think you will get 100% on most assignments you turn in, but you won't because she's a tough grader.
Horribly boring to listen to. I emailed her that I had a friend die recently and that I might need an extension on homework assignments and she didnt even respond. She is by far the toughest grader I have ever had. DO NOT take this class if you can avoid it.
Sue is one of my favorite profs at UWL! She is awesome to talk to and helps in any way she can to make sure you are understanding the material. This class isn't meant to be an easy A so she is a bit of tough grader and expects that you put in work outside of class, but you're in the wrong field if you don't expect that. She is a MUST TAKE! 10/10!
Shes a good person and nice at times but can be rude and very bland about topics that need more detail. Overall its hard to study for her lab exams because she often doesnt set a clear outline on what you should know and look at.
MIC 130 is easily one of the most interesting classes I might ever take, and Sue makes it that much better. It is exam heavy and graded a little harder than your average gen ed but what you get out of the course makes it worth it. I 100% recommend this course to everyone. Sue is very knowledgable of the material and has great conversations with us.
I started off the semester really enjoying microbiology and I liked Anglehart at first, but then there were a couple instances where she was downright rude to me and it has kinda ruined my microbiology experience. Also, if I could use the "tough grader" tag three times I would. Frustrating because she was nice at first, but now idk what happened.
This class was very interesting, however, she's a very tough grader. She is also not at all lenient when it comes to missing class and will be very rude about it. Harder than the average gen ed, I would recommend taking a different professor if possible for MIC 130.
Sue's MIC130 is a challenging but rewarding course. While the exams require extensive preparation, her engaging lectures and helpful study resources like unstuck AI make the material interesting. If you're willing to put in the work, this class is a valuable learning experience.
