I took her for Intro to Motion pictures and she makes the dificult class so fun. She comes up with the funniest remarks, you cannot help butlaugh. It is as easy as doing all of your assigned work and stdying hard and you will budge.

Solid teacher, not a facilitator! She is genuine as long as your willing to put the effort. She rewards you, and takes points when necessary. SHe understand the student, and what's expected for you to succeed in her class and in life!

She is an extremly smart professor. If your not willing to study, don't take her class. Either you will like her or hate her;however,if you want to learn (that is what college is for)she is the professor to take.

Cornett expects a certain degree of literacy and knowledge of the English language. She also is witty, wise, widely experienced professor. You have to earn her respect, but once you do, it's totally worth it.

You can't slack off at all in this class, and that's what's so great about Cornett--she makes you feel like you are at college, that you are being pushed beyond your educational expectations. Take every class she offers, it'll change your life for the better.

Great prof. Gave me a rotten grade on my first paper then I busted butt and ended up with an A. Some of the people talking here seem to be big whiners instead of college students.

Terrific. Great sense of humor. Makes class intersting. Fair grades. Gives people a chance to do their best. Likes what she is doing. Definitly tell people to take her classes if they want to learn stuff.

I like her. I think she treats her students like she likes them, and she knows how to teach. Thats more than I got in high school.

She's terrific. I never knew anything about China and India until I took her course. Now I want to go there because of the things she taught us. She keeps your interest and keeps people awake.

I found her lectures interesting and she displayed a great sense of humor. I plan on taking Comp2 Honors because she is teaching it! I love that she uses power point and allows you to look up whatever you missed online.

Without a doubt one of the smartest people I have ever met. If your looking for an "easy ride" this is not the class for you. If you want to actually learn the "roots" of English, this is the right class. She is an amazing teacher.

Great class and very informative, but rather easy. I wasn't challenged by this class. I would suggest taking it because it helps you understand other people rather then seeing things in our American ethnocentric point of view. Very nice lady and cares about her students success.

i didnt have her this semester but i can say enough how great this professor is. just a wonderful educator. i recommend her to anyone.She WILL make you work but once you are done w her class you will be so much better for having had her. I give her 4.5 stars...no 5 stars.

GREAT teacher. I bet the complainers are slackers. Her sense of humor is great, she is very upper-level, sharp. Don't bring lame-ass excuses and snotty/uppity teen attitude. I didn't find her gender-biased at all- my paper came down on women (I am one) and that got good support before grading. Love the way she has the paper 1st to help term end load.

Her class is a lot of work, but she is very helpful, fair (if she sees you are trying) and you learn soooo much. If you take her you won't have any problems along the way. Take her if you want to do well in your future classes !!!!

Very nice, a bit weird with her facial expressions and remarks. Some dry humor to try and make the students laugh, but she tries, Overall, a wonderful teacher, who will help you out just as long as you communicate with her and she sees you try.

I have taken her for Hum.I and know for Hum (east/west) and have recieved a D for both classes!!! This is the only class I have ever recieved a D in!! So now I have to RETAKE them both over the summer...good luck for if you decide to take her!!

She seems hard at first but sit in the front play into her game and you will get an A. The first half of the class is the paper, it looks hard but she grades easy and the second half you watch movies! Exam was easy just listen in class and particpate. This was an easy A.

Good teacher, was very helpful and polished my writing a great deal. She did however chew out people that were regularity late, but that is to be expected in a college class.

Awsome teacher. Her class has a lot of essay work and research topics but it's worth it, her class truly polishes your writing ability. I enjoyed her witty sarcasm, she was a joy.

if your spoiled and lazy, dont take her class. if you want to learn something then this is the teacher. She has a witty humor thats unexpected but funny. you earn the grade you work for. very intelligent lady that can relate to her students. dont take her if your unable to more than regular b.s papers. you have to put effort into her class.

Profesor Cornett is an engaging instructor. She brings her subject to life. She is a no nonsense person all the while being a cut up. In other words Do the work and be responsible and respectful and you will do great. SKip, show up late, give excuses, be rude and you will have a problem.

Wonderful teacher. She's extremely eccentric, funny, and zany. She is not boring and is anything but ordinary. Makes writing fun and easy.

Mrs. Cornett is very entertaining, and crazy, but when it comes down to grading papers she is very nit picky. she assigned papers that were interesting and dealt with interesting topics. grades mostly on mechanics.

Currently taking her for comp 2. She likes me because I show up on time, listen and dont talk when shes talking. If you come in late, talk when shes talking or show disinterest she will take it as disrespect and let you(and the class) know it. Overall Decent teacher one of the easier comp 2 classes.(my 2nd time taking it)

She was an excellent professor and made me feel like an actual college student. Her classes are not for students that refuse to do the readings, although I'm not sure how those students plan to make it in college. It's also important to participate often and show up. I learned many new things in her class, she kept it interesting.

She is a really great teacher. Make sure you are on time in her class, and don't use cell phones. She will make an example of you in class. Make sure you follow her instructions to the letter. She is really strict, but fun. I highly recommend her. I would take her again if I could.

Great teacher, do the work and ask questions and you will do well. Come to class prepared, and buy the text book. Not for someone who dosen't care about LIT. If you want to broaden your horizons take her.

Excellent teacher for Comp 2 and humanities 2. I took her for both. Great example of demanding curriculum. Fast moving, no B.S. or sugarcoating, just do as she asks and you will actually notice improvements in yourself regarding your writing and thinking skills. Rough around the edges but she sincerely wants her students to understand. Challenging!

AMAZING!! I had her for World Lit II and Film History, and she was an absolute joy! I always feel sad having to leave her class at the end of the semester. Great at giving fun lectures, down-to-earth, smart, funny, kind,--The best teacher I have ever had!!! Workload and tests are easy and fun, and papers are minimal and easy!! THE BEST TEACHER!

Great teacher. Very clear on instruction if you didn't understand then you didn't pay attention. She makes class interesting and you will learn something if you take her. I haven't taken a writting class in 20 years and had no problem keeping up. Once again great teacher, will take her again.

Wonderful teacher. Don't let any of the negative comments scare you. She does make you work hard for the grade, but you learn so much more because of that. I learned way more from her than any other professor. She really cares about teaching and she has definitely made me a better student.

As a transient student coming from a state university I'm glad I decided to take this class back home over summer. Mrs.Cornette was a fair grader and alwas gave positive remarks on papers. She also told you how to improve a paper. Watched tons of movies. My advice:go to class and do activities and you'll come out with a solid A or B

College isn't easy folks. This class FORCES you to learn the material, this isn't highschool where you can just copy your neighbor. She's a great teacher, very passionate and has a vast knowledge on Eastern art, literature, mythology and temples. I loved this class :).

Super nice, although very sarcastic. Great teacher though, you will do well if you study and take notes. One power point project and some tests, with extra credit opportunity.

This teacher was great. She's not easy, but college isn't supposed to be. If you show up everyday, pay attention, and study, you'll get a B. Her study guides are off topic from the test, so make sure you study off the power point notes (that's the real study guide). Gives tons of opportunity for extra credit. I would recommend her for HUM-2270!
