This is the EASIEST class EVER! Tests straight from notes, dont need the book, attendance is extra credit, material is broke down-a 3rd grader could pass her class!! What more could u ask for!!

DONT BUY THE BOOK!Waste of $85.Her lecture notes are online and that basically is all you need. Show up on her review date of the exam,b/c there is your test! Does not take attendance, but will give extra credit points on random days.

Don't buy book. Even if she says she's read this website, don't beleive her. Take all notes in class, study the night before, make an A! She also seems like a very nice woman.

DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. It's a waste of money, trust me, I know. She gives us notes from each chapter on her website, and all you have to do is print them out and study, and you will be guaranteed an A or B.

hey this is a great teacher! sometimes she likes joking around to. she gives clear information of what you need to know. she doesnt waste your time. the notes the test comes directly from the notes. its an easy class and she makes it seem interesting

Very nice teacher. She is friendly, has a good sense of humor, teaches well and you can usually FIND her when you need her. very approachable. RECOMMENDED.

You never have to go to class, all notes are online. Easy projects you have to complete on the internet. Tests can be hard!

There is no attendence policy, but if you don't go to class on a normal basis, you're gonna FAIL unless u study your butt off and can interpret the *outlines* of notes that she has on her webpage. Don't let the attendence policy fool you.

I would recommend taking the lab your last year. i took stats and rsch methods first and this class was a breeze. u really don't need to have the lab first to do the other classes. She is a good teacher though. Very elaborate.

This class was very easy.The whole structure of the class is note taking.You don't need a book because the 50 questioned tests comes straight from the notes.There are online assignments,but they are fairly easy. Come to class, take notes, do online projects... PASS!!! Great Teacher

A very nice professor. Take notes as a lot of questions on the tests are based on them. The projects don't take anymore than maybe 20 minutes each. She usually does a good job trying to keep the class awake during lectures. ;)

She teaches straight from the workbook and her powerpoint. She'll take attendance, assign homework each week and have regular quizzes. It's not the best class I've had but if you attempt to keep up with assignments and study for the tests you should do fine.

not fun at all. kind of interesting. lots of notes. but you can skip it ANY AND EVERYDAY except for test days. sue is nice and she laughs at herself. she tries so its not a bad course. you will learn if you want to.

VERY easy A even if you don't pay attention. I only went to class about once a week and still got an A with very little effort. Spaulding is nice and tries to make jokes to help you remember the info. I recommend highly for your social science requirement.

I loved this class. I thought that it was great... it's easy and very interesting. I found it so interesting that I declared Psychology as my minor. Highly recomended!!

This was one of the best teachers I have ever had, I loved her so much, she is very helpful and wants everyone to enjoy Psychology as much as she does. She just loves teaching which is rare when it comes to professors at UNCC. The grades are easy as long as you study for tests, classes are fun!

she is frightening sometimes but she is easy and she cracks herself up. easy class, just take notes and study them. if she uses my pysch lab there is no reason to buy the book--waste of money.

Overall she is a great professor. She presents the material in a way that you can easily understand it. The psych lab program (required even if you dont take lab with class)requires a little extra work but it is fairly easy and helps prepare you for tests. I highly recommend her.

if you just show up and take the notes, all the test questions are from those. That or you could waste your parents money and not go to class, and fail. Its not that hard, and she explains everything, including the grading system, very clearly. Nice professor!

She's a nice teacher, and very organized, but all you have to do is read the book, my favorite kind of class. She assigns mypyschlab projects, and I followed the directions exactly, and still got a C. I think she's just pissed off because she told everyone that they couldnt do it in time if they waited till the last minute, and everyone did theirs in about 20 minutes.

Very boring and not at all entertaining. She does try hard at making class enjoyable but failed everyday.

actually i had one of her student assistants, making the class quite interesting. was helpful and rushed through notes to finish early, very cool. labs are easy. However... quizzez and tests came from Spaulding, not many, tricky questions, and she takes off a lot for a wrong answer. no room for mistakes or your grade will suffer.

Don't even bother buying the textbook for this class. Its all online, and she goes over everything on the test in class. The labs are ridiculously easy, and as long as you take notes and study, you'll get an A. Not the most interesting class, but not difficult either if your not lazy as hell.

Assignments are all online and somewhat Easy. The entire class is all notes, TONS and TONS of notes. Must study for tests or you wont pass. Class is BORING BORING BORING,gr eat 50 minute nap. oesnt take attendence. Take it if you want to be exausted after 2 weeks. I wouldnt take it ever again with her!!

Way easy...and she tries so hard to be funny, that it becomes funny. If you are struggling, tell her about it after class while she's smoking...she will be more likely to help you out. If you get behind, let her know right away, and she will go out of her way to help you catch up. Don't wait though...it pisses her off.

Hardly saw her because the TA taught the class. Work was fairly easy. Final exam was a piece of cake. No studying is really involved. Just know what your doing and keep up every week. Do the easy extra credit if you need it!

All u ever do in class is take notes. The assignments are online and easy to get a 100 on. But the tests require a lot of studying; they're very detailed. She takes attendence at random but u can miss as many days as u want. If u're there for attendence u get extra credit so try to go as much as possible. This class wasn't half bad.

Didn't have Mrs. Spaulding personally as the teacher, but her TA instead. Took it on Fridays and wasn't too bad. Basically just read over the lab before class, do the labs on time, run over notes before the quizes, and study previous labs and the online study guide and you'll do fine. Was an easy B for me!

Took General Pysch with her I don't know why anyone would not like her. Its a big class so its not very personal get to know the TA ask questions, she'll remember your name and she'll like you. I would take her again. but i know one of my friends can't stand her. Take a chance and see...

Great professor! Interesting class! There are 3 exams & 1 final. You have to do research requirements which can get annoying. Random in class attendance. Online projects are easy although very annoying, mainly b/c submitting them is so confusing! Never dealt with her in person, but I have heard she's not as friendly as she seems in class.

I dont see how anyone wouldnt like her either- the stuff we did online was extremely easy- and she gives a TON of extra credit. The tests are a little tough but if you go to class, take notes, and use the mypsych lab you can do fine! def take her class!

Had her T.A for the psych lab. generally pretty easy but the class is genereally annoying. labs are graded hard and the computer stuff is a lil confusing but not impossible.

Her classes are large so attendance isn't mandatory, however she'll choose 5 random days to pass out an attendance sheet for extra credit. Her tests, I'll admit WERE hard. But if you do her practice exams online and the psi Q game, you'll do good. And doing the practice exams are extra credit. She gives a lot of info. Just gotta push yourself.

Great lady who really cares about what she does and UNC Charlotte. Everyone gives her undeserved crap. Seriously, get to know people before you judge them! She has extensive knowledge in Psychology!

I had her for lab but the TA taught the class. She only came in class once all semester. She is nice but don't expect to see her unless you go to her for help. As far as the work, it is straightforward. The lab info basically spells out the lab reports for you (excluding the lab activity). You will be told what to study for quizes. Not a hard class

I was in her lab class so the TA taught the class. The few times Sue did come into class, she was nice. The class is easy and most of the answers to the lab reports (excluding the lab activities) are given to you in the lab packets. Pretty easy A.

I was in her lab and she only taught one lesson the entire semester. However, from that one meeting, she seemed helpful (as I have heard she is)and knowledgeable. Her voice is quite monotonous so you may get bored but the lab was extremely easy!

Had her over summer so she taught lectures in small class. Material is interesting on its own. She lectures decently. Had weekly homework and tests, both online. Homework is basically pass/fail. Tests are thorough but straight from the book publisher. If you take notes or read through the book, or figure out trick on tests *wink*...easy A.

She's a really great teacher. She can be funny at times and really chill. Huge lecture class, but takes attendance with clickers for a grade, so be there. Homework is easy, but exams are harddd. Make sure to study. I highly recommend her.

She is really nice and funny. Her powerpoints cover the majority of her tests. I had a 96 in the class before the final exam. I would recommend taking her class!

All Psyc1101 sections have the same syllabus so and the prof's rotate so it doesn't matter who you have for this class. I really like Spaulding, her lectures are entertaining and go by quickly. Really like the grading & set up of the Psyc 1101 class. There's really no reason to not pass this class with an A with the way its set up.

Honestly, I thought I was pretty close to a D but her class involves a point system (and we all know those always boost your grade.) Overall, she's helpful, clear, and knows her psychology. She's the only one that laughs at her jokes and the classes are huge but it ended up being pretty easy. You'll use clickers and MyPsycLab.
