This is yet another useless UT math professor. Foreign, cannot understand a word he says, gives useless examples, way too much homework (expected 10 hours of HW per week, would have taken more like 25-30). His idea of partial credit is how many parts of the answer you have right. Barely passed. I don't recommend anyone taking him.

He was a good professor for the first calculus. I've heard he gets worse the higher up into math you take with him. Sometimes he walks around after he gives out a problem to see if people are on the right track. Textbook was included on Webassign where he had all of his homework. I didn't have to put a lot of extra work into this class.

Overall few complaints. Show up to class and take notes during lecture and you'll do fine. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification because he moves fast. Funny guy, fine to understand, and no surprises.

Prof. Hong is decent. I'm able to follow most of the time but he moves quite fast. He does have an accent but you get used to it quickly. Quizzes are extremely similar to the homework questions, so do the homework and you're set for the quizzes. Personally I found it more useful to attend recitations to learn new concepts rather than the lectures.

The absolute worst professor at this school, avoid him at all costs! Gives impossible weekly quizzes, and insults you in front of the class if you have questions about the homework. Homework is assigned every or every other night and will take you a few hours to complete, the quizzes almost never look like the homework or what he goes over.

He was always helpful in answering my questions. Should've just taken this class online.

This class was extremely frustrating because the professor does not teach. His notes are unclear and rushed and he expects students to know way more than they do. A lot of the content is not, "high school math", as he said continuously. It is easier to learn on your own than in class. Professor is VERY passive-aggressive. 0/10 would not recommend.

I personally like his lectures. everything was very easy and he truly cared about his students and went over any questions we had. NEVER MISS THE LECTURES! He doesn't put updates into blackboard and will only remind you about the quizzes if you were there. Also, make sure you keep up with the ALEKS because they really help. He has practice exams!

If you can get a different professor do it. He skips so many steps in his lecture to the point that no one follows what he is doing. To pass the class you can't just know how to do something but instead you have to learn how everything works. Don't expect anything he gives to be helpful. The quizzes/exams and the lectures are completely different.

He writes on the board with messy handwriting and has a thick accent which makes class extremely hard to understand & follow along. Homework takes hours because you have to teach yourself. He embarrassed a student for having a calculator out during lecture. I'm going to CLEP calculus so I dont have to take it again.
