A bit unorganized at the end. Overall, he's fine.
Difficult and unfair short answer questions on the midterm

great personality, talk too fast, volume sometimes high and low, hard exams
Exams are hard and can be tricky. Know the text inside out.
cocky, very bad teacher
Lengthy course notes

He is Ok. His exams are pretty easy and straight forward
A very good prof, probably one of the best at explaining the material that I ever had...
final exam is very hard... NOT FAIR!
Econ 210 is a hard course. Suki notes is not very useful. Please read your textbook, then you will be fine. Fair mid-term, but hard final exam.
Funny guy, very good at explaining the materials. He will often let his personal life seep into lectures. Class is bell curved, so know your stuff.
Mean Prof. Worst prof. I had so far. Not a good choice if you want to learn or get easy credits.
I found the class rather easy... know the textbook for the quizes... the final has some extra stuff on it... if you want an A it might even be worth going over your macro textbook, stuff like MCI will show up on the final even if it's not covered in class
I liked him... found his classes fun to go to. Know your textbook (all of it even dates) and for the final know your textbook and your macro theory
Talk too fast! Exams are hard!
He talks in a clear voice, his writting are readable, and his quizzes and exams are quite easy. If you know how to apply the theories then you will be fine. Final's questions was EXACTLY the same as the review questions, so...enough said.
the final exam is extremly UNfair. trust me or not u will find out by urself =] overall he is the worst i had in sfu
Funny prof. Material before midterm is fine but after the midterm he teaches very fast. The homework is not useful at all.
His final's questions were EXACTLY the same as the review questions, if you didn't read it, you pretty much threw an A away. His MCs on exams are predictable, and his lectures are far from boring.
Suki is a good prof
Suki is the best prof there is. Knows what hes talkin bout. Very funny and drives a nice car. Stay sexy Suki!!!!!!
He made class fun to attend, the course material was interesting and his test were reasonable.
Suki was very clear durinf lectures and exams were fair.

Everyone ends up dropping his class! Do not take unless needed.. if you take it, pay attention to detail! Quizzes and homework don't mean #$@&! Memorize notes and text.
fun guy, hard course. Alotta this stuff u gotta already know from econ 105/103. He only presents you material, doesn't explain it very well....or im just dumb.
Well, not bad, quite funny in the lecture....but he doesn't follow the book, the book itself is useless!
Suki is a funny guy. The lectures were for the most part interesting and he seemed enthusiastic teaching it. Good course if you want to learn about the bond market. However, final was a bit hard because we had to cover like 16 chapters.
Fun prof. I think he did a good job presenting a lot of material in a relatively short amount of time. The final is really hard though.
He is very lazy. The questions are not hard but u can write a 12 pages essay on each question. Eg. Why do banks exist?
This guy needs to stop cracking jokes and get down to work! He says that Peter Kennedy (SFU Econ Prof) is his role model, but Peter is waaaaay better!
Stop cracking jokes and get down to work.
He can't teach!! Tries too hard to be funny, every single class! Just teach man!! He thinks he is soo slick. Suki tends to mumble at the end of his speech, which makes it extra hard to hear him clearly!! His tests are super hard!!!
his notes is useless
Lame jokes, looks and acts like a slick used car salesman. Decent prof for the 15 mins he spends on material each lecture. A little eye candy, you can tell he's no stranger to the gym.
Agree with the reviews below me. "Sucky Bad" is probably his real name.

Worst prof. useless textbook...!
know notes, text and do homework and you'll do fine
he doesn't keep his words at all!! he promised 40% calculation on final, but in reality we didn't a single calculation at all!!! he's been giving out false information throughout the whole semester. and his exams r unreasonable!!
Suki, you rock!
This guy is irresponsible and unorganized..skipped the last class on Thursday.. come on, no review? skipped the final exam as well? ask your girl or wife did the job for you? wake up, man.. WE PAID THE TUITION!

I got an A for the midterm, but I believe I failed the final for this course. Very unclear, teaches too fast. Notes are crap. The book being used is by far the worst I have encountered in my life.
A hard course and a bad professor do not mix together.
Dont Keep His words...low credibility~~
Complicated textbk, crappy notes...irresposible prof~~
he is the worse prof in SFU ever, can't teach, can't even keep his words. he tricks students in the WRONG way, tells stupid jokes all the time. if i were the chair of econ department, i would fire him without second thought
Textbook=garbge, prof=useless, lecture=1-2hr afternoon nap, enough said
super boring textbook.. always thinks his jokes are funny~ his midterms and exams are on average ok... but kinda horrible writing~~
There is quite a bit of material to cover, but lecture notes really help! Written questions on tests are mostly from lecture stuff... Pretty nice prof...
Very decent prof. He's a pretty funny guy and he is good at communicating the course material. He does tend to give false information regarding the contents of his exam (maybe to penalize those who don't read the material). But overall, the exam isn't too hard. Very decent prof.

what I learned is just some equations, nothing else. u can study the textbook by urself.
the book was horrible, his teaching was horrible, and he was very unfair. if he didnt like you in tutorial he would always pick on you. he is also very disorganized and loses assignments and midterms. do not take his class, take it with some other prof.
Incompetent. Doesn't know what he's talking about. Very lame jokes. Notes that are outdated and doesn't correlate with text. Doesn't care about students or teaching but his own business. Enough said.
He is horrible at teaching. Since he was my prof and TA, I was royally ****** and ended up with a lower mark compared to my other economics courses. Don't take his class if you don't have to. His notes were unclear and disorganized, and he waste a lot of time cracking lame jokes...
VERY BADH: Lives up to his name.
Not even joking, worst professor in my whole academic career!! Plz anyone thinking of taking his classes, steer clear of it. You'll be glad u did!!
his the best
seems like he sucks for econ210, but i'd say econ 103 has been enjoyable so far i guess...booo midterm
The only thing u need to do in his classes is trying to copy down all those slides. The only thing u need to do for his exam is getting the previous exams. I got straight As in all econ courses except a C in his 210.
His notes are unclear and his writing is extremely poor and messy. I dun think attending his lectures is neccessary in this course becoz u won't understand the stuff anyways, y not just read the text....? Exams are fairly hard
reminds me of a slick used car salseman.
One of the worst Econ professor I have ever encountered in my life. Bad attitude with impossible exam. Maybe time for ECON department to fire instructors that either can't teach or speak proper English. Let's face it, SFU will never be as good as UBC with the quality of our instructors.
His lectures are pretty annoying because he tends to jump around with this notes, which makes it extremely hard to understand and follow! Overall, notes are unclear and uesless. I took both his 103 and 105 ... plz dun do what I did ... use screw ur marks and knowledge!
ok teacher... pretty funni sometimes midterm's MC = super hard (dont ask for MC during votes) if u take good notes... then u'll do fine make sure u can draw nice and clear graphs... or else you'll screw up this course... he used D.Allen's textbook which sux ass(dont buy it, just copy it from a
Used D. Allen's textbook = useless and awful text (don't waste ur money). Suki is not a very competent teacher; funny at times but has poor writing and hires awful TA's. Exams are hard and assignments help u study for them somewhat...don't take his class unless u have no other choice...like i did!!
This guy is not good for those who really love to learn something from Econ. Lectures are just a copy of the book and even then, they are confusing. You better take the course with somebody else, if you care about learning econimics. Yet, Exams are fairly ok and not too hard. Just memorize everythin
awesome prof. very funny, fair exams. the problem is he speaks too fast and in a slur, notes are hard to follow (and also all over the place).
Ok... This Prof has got to be the funniest prof I have ever had. His class is pure entertainment
I cant read his stupid notes.....had to rely on textbook, class avg was aroun 60% for first midterm, alot of ppl hate this class apparently
Not only do I agree with all the negative comments posted but after just taking his final......THE WORST REPRESENTATION OF WHAT HE EMPHASIZED AND DISCUSSED ALL YEAR. Format was extremley difficult and as a A student in math and econ - I easily failed the exam...BRUTAL CLASS & PROFESSOR!!!
Suki is a BADH prof for Econ. The textbook he chose was useless. I had to borrow another text to study for exams. You cannot rely on only his notes either b/c they aren't clear and leaves a lot of things out. Lectures are hard to follow and notes are all over the place. Exams are super hard too.
As many mentioned, poor quality lecture notes, bad choice of textbook (the worst), always talks about one thing and suddenly say "before I get to this, lets look at that" not even done drawing the graph and he skips. Hez like those Avant Garde drama: confuse audiences, and shock us during exams!
havent had the final yet but ill agree with the rest, never get what he's writing
What can I say? His final was horrible. Totally out of the question. I put so much effort onto his final, and itz not even worth it. Its totally out of the question. Only thing good about him is that his rather funny. But other than that he sux. Don't take him, because you won't learn anythin
This guy is an absolute joke. Final was nothing like the notes or textbook; his notes were unclear & very basic, textbook was pointless, and he copied some assigments straight off the web. His true/false exam-type is ridiculously hard and unlike anything we'd done all year. Waste of my study time.
His a cool guy. I would love to be friends with him. But damm man, been in his class is horrible. Exams, is out of the question. Textbook sucks big time.
Good intentions, enjoyed his class, but very meticulous and scary when it comes to exams. You better know your stuff.
Econ 105. He sucks at drawing down notes on overhead (messy writting, poor spellings, and bad jokes). His exam is so waste of time... If you want to get a good grade, don't take his class because his exam formats are horrible. You would not know how to answer them with the textbook right beside you.
Usually when the teacher has messy notes or can't teach very well, you can depend on the textbook. Not in this class. Our textbook was horrible. If you have a choice I recommend you don't take Econ 103 with Suki.
I think suki's unfairly hard, since both his notes and the textbook are quite horrible. I mean if either one was okay it would justify the difficulty in the exams. Don't use the textbook that comes with the course any other micro book will be better.
ask ppl for examples instead of going over complex concepts, writing messy, assignment don't correlate w/ lecture cuz he doesn't follow the txt but q's are from txt, exams super unfair cuz >half of it won't match lectures or txt and have unstated requirements (table/graph). AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Suki is the****! Awesome, funny guy who can give you a dose of real life, rather than just economics. If you come to lectures, study the notes well (mainly the little lists he gives) and pay attention to his hints on what to study for, u'll get an A :D Final=more application, midterm=all theory
this guys wickd! super funny, jus dont sit at the back of the class, exams are tough but go to class, take good notes and u'll do fine. drops lots of hints for questions and helpful study tips. recommend this guy if your willing to do the work.
Makes boring classes fun and interesting!!!!Take him if you want to learn.
I had him for both 103 and 105. I would take him again.
covers chapter a week plus. writing could improve. talks about real life a-lot. seems like he is good at lecturing
YOU HAVE TO TRUST ME!!!DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS, you will not get a good mark (even you worked really hard), he is a funny guy, but trust me, if you took his class, drop it IMMEDIATELY!!
the best
exam was a surprise but if you work through it you will ace it.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME prof... funny, interesting... nuff said.
Never trust what he said for the finals. He told the class (for final exam)that he'll have calculations and most of the materials are tested after the midterm. Its turns out to be no calculations and most of the materials are from the materials before the midterm.I admit he's a nice and funny teacher but most likely u don't need to go to his class.
Hard midterms/finals, but I somehow ended up with an okay mark. Marking on tests was weird...marks taken away for weird things. Notes were ok...messy writing though. Lots of theory on the exams, not too much calculations. Very nice proff and funny with good explanations and he repeats stuff a lot so it's easier to learn.
lecture notes are important.
his midterm for this semester is just every single questions from the answer key on the back of the book.basically his notes is the most important study resources.
I agree with some of the other posts, his writing is awful. He doesn't explain things. He doesn't understand his own concepts during lectures as he often says see me after class, but he takes off early. You have to go to class as the Textbook is useless. I learned nothing from his class and got a B+. SFU, hire a better qualified professor.
Classes were a bore and he tried hard to be funny. I couldn't learn a thing.
Suki is the man
One of the worst professors to have ever taught any subject anywhere. He is not qualified to teach this course or any other course. Cannot understand a thing he is saying and his writing is chicken scratch. Tries wayyyy to hard to be funny.
if u really like copying tons of poor notes and awful jokes, take it
Pretty good teacher, although sometimes a little confusing, as he jumps from lecturing to something off-topic. Funny guy, and his exams are not _too_ difficult... he even tells you where he will be getting the questions from.
the questions came from the notes...damn...told us they would...
never trust what he says about final, he's a lier!! what he says about final is totally different with the realistic exam! Class is boring! useless
Read the Prof, watch for the dropping of subtle hints, an anyone will get at least a B- without any effort. I mean none.

Totally hopeless. The endless overhead transparency notes are useless with the lectures unclear and devoid of structure. Exams should not be taken from questions at the back of the textbook. That is a clear shirking of his duties as a professor. Doesn't answer emails and is never induring office hours.
midterm was same as the questions in the back of the book and final was completely on the lecture notes. He's very unorganized so its sometimes hard to tell what points belong under which categories
Easy course if you listen to Suki...he told us exactly what would be on the tests (questions from the back of the book, and lecture notes for the final). And bonus marks for telling a joke on the exams. Good prof if you listen and attend lectures.
one of the few who seem to enjoy what he does for a living
Perhaps not a shoe in for Professor equipped with the best humor, but read the professor and watch how those final exam questions relate back to what he said in class about them.
someone who related books to business. tells you what he will ask on exams.
Suki is the best prof so far at my 3rd yr SFU. mid-term and finals are straight forward from notes. no tricky questions if you referred from notes. tutorials questions are helpful but mainly focus on notes you will be receiving an B or above.. thank you Suki
Good prof able to keep students interested in every class with subtle jokes/ off-topic comments! Course material is easy just follow notes. Only thing is he NEVER ANSWERS emails or have a course website so things can be confusing as to when are assignments due etc. Want to compliment the TA: BO CHEN, GREAT EXPLANATIONS AND GREAT INTEREST IN ECON!
Awsome!!!!!...I would recomend him..uses many real life examples. Learned about finance and investments...a real treat to have..thankss sukii=)
worst instructor I have ever seen,no way to prepare final and midterm is all about memorize stuff, not fair at all.class is fun but useless.
took 210 in Fall 2002. Very hard material, but did not get a lot of helps. ended up with B but know nothing..
worst instructor in sfu!!!!
Very informative lectures, talks about markets alot, interested in the subject.
great
He brings in much policy issues and outside world issues
learned lots and lots take him only if you wish to undertand real life
awsome prof, the best

He gave us an over look of how his stocks doing every class. Then we had some political discussions. After, he would joke about stripe club specially the one beside Douglas College. We talk about every thing except economy. At the end he would go over some course material. His lectures and his hand writing were terrible.
Awesome teacher!!!! one of the best... Very clear, writing wise and speaking wise...and funny. You actually learn a lot in this class!
Good Prof, knows his stuff, and is willing to help if u dont understand...the best econ prof i hav had at sfu and kwantlen!!Def shud attend class cuz it makes a huge difference, also really funny and tlks about ligit stuff that u need to move on
Awsome Prof! Actually makes lectures intresting to go to! Watch for hints about exams. Overall very good!
Great, learned alot:)
Very interesting and worthwhile class and prof. Quizzes and exams are challenging, but are doable by explaining thoughts of material from class. TA is helpful. Marks scaled up later. Sit back for half the lecture about random stuff with econ remarks, picking on students, or silly jokes. Being a well paid goalie beats 5 bucks a day plus food coupons
The best prof i have ever had, was really helpful. If you need help than go in and ask, if you go in he knows you care and will give you a good mark
Slightly off track lectures. Ask questions and he will spend as much time as needed to explain th answer.
His is terrible.
Great class
Enjoyed his lectures.
Not easy to get a hold off. Knows his economics and policy
