She's very personable and fun to watch. Is very clear and open to discussion. She does, however, talk too much about romantic relationships. She uses them as examples for almost everything, and that's just a pet peeve of mine.

wasn't too interested in the couse...until she started tleling point-for-point why I and my friends dated in the patterns we did. And she was dead-on with evweyr one of us. She knows her stuff, and is really nice, too. Tests were easy. Rarely check s attendance, but u just wanna be there.

She is very helpful, even if you have a question about a certain test problem. Take her class, you will love it!

Her honors class was amazing! It's not much more work than her regular sections, and we got to do a ton of class discussion. Everyone got involved and made it a really interesting semester. LOVED Donovan - you have not experienced LU if you haven't taken Donovan's Psych.

best teacher ive had at liberty by far! i didnt want to take psyc at all! but she actually made me even consider changing my major to psyc. she encouraged you to participate and had assignments where you actually applied what you learned and not just take a test on it, although we had a couple of those. she was very helpful too. take her!

Professor Donovan is an amazing professor. I changed my major to Psych, because of her Psych 210 class. I learned more in that class than any other. The assignments were relevant to learning and helped you understand. Her lectures were much more disscussioned base than any other college level class. Her teaching style is Revolutionary!

I've taken Professor Donovan for three different psych classes now and I recommend her to everyone. She's very genuine and she teaches not only from her textbook, but from her heart. Mrs. Donovan is the best Psych. teacher from what I hear. She takes everything from a counseling perspective. She does a ton of application to make it easy for us to remember and actually use in our lives. She's more concerned with us living better lives than knowing terms in a text book. Godly Woman!

Class is pretty much a spiritual application, whereas the textbook is the key to success in the class. Super Easy, and pretty interesting if you put the time into reading.

Above all Mrs Donovan is a great woman of God. There are many things about her class that really irritated me. I didnt like that she didnt teach from the book. She taught the bible with the subject. But, we were tested from the book. However, I learned a tremendous amount from this woman and my own personal convictions are stronger because of her.

She is a great professor, she let us out of class early numerous times and sometimes even cancels class. She is kinda mean when it comes to leaving class or arriving late. She will embarrass you in front of the whole class if you do either.

She is an excellent professor when she actually teaches psychology. Beware of her religious rants they happen a lot and take up so much time it's ridiculous. The class is easy and interesting except when we spend a week learning about Biblical roles instead of relevant psychology.

Donovan is a great teacher - very passionate about psychology. My only complaint is that she often treats her students like high schoolers. Do NOT text in class, leave class early, or come in late because she WILL stop the class to ask you to stop being distracting (and she therefore distracts the class more). Can be harsh but she's still good.

Donovan is a kind lady who is passionate about her field. She is also possibly the easiest professor I've ever had- VERY low stress and lots of easy grades. Even tests were online, open book! She can be a bit controlling. If you leave class to go to the bathroom, or walk in late, she will single you out and depending on her mood, ask you to leave.

However, the second half of the semester was about psychological disorders, which was boring. Do all your online LearnSmart modules because if you miss one it will cost you a letter grade (which happened to me)

Mrs. Donovan is sweet, clear, helpful, and a good teacher. She tells you exactly what you need to know and gives ample review for quizzes and exams. We didn't have to write a paper for this class -- just show up, take notes, do online work, and take tests. She does include a lot of personal opinion/Biblical integration, so prepare for that.

Mrs. Donovan is so passionate about educating us and gives good real life application to whatever topic we are talking about. Her lectures are captivating and you often leave class feeling like it was over too soon. She also lets out early around breaks. Overall an amazing woman.

Book given free online; buy only if you like to underline & highlight. Quizzes are worth lots of points; will do fine if you pay any attention in class. Makes class fun, sometimes gives corny jokes.

Donovan is by far one of my favorite professors! So glad I got to take her for both 101 and 210. I SO recommend taking in-class rather than online so you can hear her insights and biblical applications! I learned so much from her and was always interested in her lectures. There's a few homework assignments but you'll get an A if you do the work!

Professor Donovan is one of the funniest professors I've ever had. This was a great class to take Freshman year. She incorporates biblical worldview into the material. The class it's self wasn't hard at all. Just take the notes, do the Learnsmart activities, and do the tests (ONLINE!! ).

Mrs. Donovan is sincerely the best professor I have had at Liberty so far. She experienced severe back pain while teaching, but that didn't stop her from coming into the classroom and doing her best to teach. She truly aims to serve God through teaching and will often share parts of her testimony, which touches and convicts many students.

Phenomenal teacher. If you have/want to take PSYC 101 or 210, make sure you take it with her. I have never learned so much so quickly and easily as in her class, and never enjoyed lectures as much as hers. Everything taught in class will be on the quizzes and everything in your textbook chapters will be on your exams. If you go to class she goes over most of the material that will be in the textbooks, so you should be fine on the exams. She is an amazing and funny teacher. She usually tells stories in class to help you remember the concepts better.

Really takes a lot of time to explain the concepts so that students understand. Almost too much time for my taste. Very caring and tries to make the info applicable for when students will be parents and spouses. However, she spent 6 classes on the biology from conception to birth (not so much the psyc side). I am pro-life, but it seemed off topic.

Professor Donovan is the best professor I have had at this school yet. She is funny and relatable and makes class fun to attend. She has a lot of knowledge on what she is teaching and has a strong passion for Psychology. She genuinely cares for her students and is overall just so kind and compassionate. I highly recommend her for your professor.

I enjoyed having this class, theres no reason not to pass it with an A or B. Professor Donovan has a fun teaching style that you can follow along with easily.

Mrs. Donovan did an amazing job in making introductory psychology concepts as practical as possible. She loves class participation and group discussions (in class).

Professor Donovan is an amazing person, who made class very enjoyable and easy to remember the material. I loved her sense of human and stories that made lecture fly by, and also she always released us early. Overall, I highly recommend her for PSYC 101 and can say I have learned a lot from her.

Sundi Donovan is a kind person and an amazing professor. I might be biased as Psychology is my major, but she made me fall in love with the subject even moreso. This class is a bit more difficult than 101 since it is a more specific topic, but as long as you take good notes and read you'll be fine. You can use notes on quizzes and exams :)

AMAZING. Donovan is so sweet, funny, and just overall fun to listen to. She gives great lectures and quizzes/tests are not hard at all. I have not met one person who disliked her. Highly recommend!

She seems nice as a person and relates psych to stories from her life. The whole marriage and dating section is kind of laughable, but it's a very chill class. There are 16 homework assignments, and the exams are online with open textbook and note. Copy paste of psych 101 for the first few weeks but learned some randomly interesting info after that

Dr. Donovan is an amazing professor who relates her content to real-life situations. I would recommend this class to anyone because it is practical information that everybody needs to hear no matter what their major is.

Professor Donovan genuinely cares about her students, is funny, and comes with passion and years of experience! I was concerned about "NO laptop" policy at first, but Professor Donovan gave more than enough time for students to take down in-class notes. Keep up with the in-class notes and homework; it's an easy A. Well-known/loved Professor at LU!

Donovan is amazing & I highly recommend her. All exams and quizzes were easy. Just get ready to read the book & listen in class. Oh, and don't walk out of class once it's started because she will call you out. She will also call you out if you have out any type of technology. So, if you hate either of those two things, take someone else.

Professor Donovan's classes were entertaining, but inconsistent (though not necessarily in a bad way). If you like out-of-class exams, random class cancelations, and prefer few (but vibrant) lectures, take her class. She's very nice and keeps you engaged. Her class was very easy.

I love this class! I learned so much that I wish everyone knew. Professor Donovan has so much wisdom to share that has helped me navigate situations in my life. This class is easy if you stay on top of your homework. Exams are open-textbook, open-note :)

love her took both intro and developmental with her. Smart books take a while but just don't get behind on them otherwise you will regret your life.

TAKE HER! Easy A if you do the workbooks. Test answers can be found online. She's super funny and teaches a lot but she doesn't expect anyone to follow her beliefs - she clearly states she's only here to educate then we make our own decisions! No group projects and no cold calling

Prof Donovan is amazing! Come to class and take notes, you'll need them for exams. No class on exam days & sometimes no class for hw catch-up. All hw due @ the end of semester but keep up weekly (you'll thank yourself later). She posts all lectures on canvas. GREAT real-life application, especially for parenting. Take even if not a psych major!

My only critique about Prof Donovan is that her class was so easy that sometimes it felt a little slow. Overall, she is a fantastic teacher and truly loves her job.

Donovan was one of my favorite professors. She is the example of a woman after God's own heart- she genuinely cares for her students and I found myself absolutely looking forward to her classes. If you need to take a Psychology class, make sure you get her! The class itself is extremely easy, I almost got a 100%. I would highly recommend her!

I LOVE PROFESSOR DONOVAN SO MUCH!! She is literally the best prof I have ever known. I took her for PSYCH 101 and 210. Going to her class does not even feel like you are in class, because the lectures are so interesting and engaging. She tells you exactly what she wants you to know for exams and even gives you the time in class to write it down!

The absolute best professor Liberty University has to offer. She makes every lecture fun and easy to understand. I was genuinely sad on our last day of class. Please please please take her if you can!!!

Donovan is the best! Took PSYC 101 with her Spring 2023 and it was my favorite class. She is so sweet and caring about her students plus has some really interesting stories about her childhood (she grew up in a cult). Class is so easy, I took it for a gen-ed and enjoyed not having a lot of work to do in it. Smartbooks every week and frequent exams

Mrs. Donovan is awesome! She cares about her students and gets them involved in the lectures. She doesn't just teach at you. There is a textbook, but it isn't really necessary at all. She is very sweet and responds to emails in a timely manner. The course content is very valuable stuff. I've learned how to be a better father in the future.

Very great lady and amazing professor. Doesn't allow tech during class but takes time on slides so that you can take physical notes while also keeping the topic interesting. Psyc isn't my major but if possible I would absolutely take her again.

The professor is very kind. She is very knowledgeable in the subject and it's easy to follow along in lecture. Attendance is mandatory, but if you do miss she post either a ppt or a lecture recording and it isn't hard to catch up. She doesn't allow the use of laptops so notes will be handwritten.

The best professors at Liberty. She cares deeply about her students and is passionate about teaching. Her assignments are easy, and exams are online. Please ignore the comments about her being rude to students about using their phone, she CLEARLY states no electronics in her classroom. that is their fault and she is an amazing teacher.

Professor Donovan truly cares about her students and its obvious she loves teaching. Her lectures are light and generally entertaining and the assignments aren't very hard if you don't let them pile up and tests are open-note. Would 100% recommend taking her if you can!

You should definitely take her classes, she is the best.

She was amazing, and she almost always would let us out of class early. She also doesn't require you to come into class if she has assigned a test that day, so that is super nice. Also, all test and quizzes are taken online out of class. I love her and am taking another class by her next semester.

I really enjoyed this course! Professor Donovan made the class very interesting and engaging. I love the way she talked about difficult topics! I highly recommend her for Psych 210.

Professor Donovan has been very inspiring and has been a motivational speaker in class (esp. her stories), cares deeply for her student's success, and is overall very organized and very laid back in her teaching and grading, yet knowledgeable in guiding her students. The one thing I do recommend is studying and getting ahead in everything possible.

Her teaching style is very easy to follow and understand! The only complaint was that she was pretty strict with lateness, wearing shorts, and laptops or phones being open. All understandable, but it was strict to the point of annoyance. Only ran into that problem once, and she was understanding about it. Very sweet and kind.

Professor Donovan is great! She is well prepared and loves her subject matter. She teaches the material in a way that anyone can learn. She is funny, too! She does not allow technology in her class (unless you need an accommodation) but teaches slow enough for note-taking.
