He is very detailed and maticulous about some things. Just follow his directions. he has wierd views on things. but i liked him as a teacher. his tests are just like the notes and homework. he is a fair grader. i would recommend him or i would take him again.
just straight forward. whats in the lecture will appear on the test. tests are about 70% problems and the rest TF and multiple choice. Hes culturelly different so he may seem a bit weird in his views but arent we all? I would recommend if you want a no nonsense class and want to know whats on the test.
Waste of time! Horrible. He is very very meticulous to the point where its just stupid. If you dont dot your i's and cross your t's he flips out. very detail oriented. Which he belives will "get you ready for the real world" ha.
Come to class, tests are mostly lecture based. (doesn't take attendance) Read assigned stuff in the book for multiple choice q. Gives extra credit and partial credit on the test. Makes the subject fairly easy.
Agree w/ person below. Tests mostly on lecture - few q's from book. Makes subject easy. Few simple hw assignments (if u show up to class). He explains exactly what he expects and grades fairly. Would def recommend him!
Best professor I have taken yet! Wish he tought more classes, I would sign up for all! If you go to class, you will get an A on the tests. For once, class is interesting, and I can actually relate the class to real life! Very clear on what he wants for tests. (Indian name, but speaks perfect english) Tests are 80% from notes in class
If you pay attention, You will get a good grade. The professor really cares about teaching. Expect to do a lot of work, but if you do it then you will be ok!
You need to attend every class, but he goes exactly by the notes and the handouts he gives out are what he bases the tests on. He's a great professor who really cares about teaching!
if you like to learn about toyota sienna, and how to change the oil you should take this class, but if you are like the rest of us, you realize that this guy is a MONK.
he is the worst teacher i ever had. he thinks this is the onlyyyyyy subject in the world that we have to learn.he thinks he is the best, he knows everything how the world should work.his gradeing policy is veryy hard. please dont make the mistake, like i did,
Easy A. Even a slacker can pass this operation managment class. He's so easy, staright-forward on what he wants. His notes & handout r pure reflection of tests. Its like he gave you a test copy before actually giving you orignal test. He extremely easy, There is no way u can even get a B- in his class if you study the notes ONLY. His tests r notes
One of the Best professor i have had at fau. He is so clear about what he want and gives review sheets and notes before tests which are exctly like the tests. If you just look at them before coming to class, you can pass the tests. He has differ viewpoints cuz he belongs to a differ culture but he is the easiest prof for this class. Pieace of cake.
He goes a little nuts with his "ethics" talk, but overall he is an excellent teacher who really cares. You HAVE to attend every class in order to understand the math material, but as long as you do that and read the assigned pages in the book, you will do ok.
Not a horrible teacher, but I would NEVER take another class with him. All he talks about is "Ethics" His grading system sucks. Can be rude and arrogant toward students. If you go to every class and follow the assignments handed out and book pages he assigns, you should be able to pass the class. The best part of the class was the last day!
This professor is the most insecure obnoxious professor. He is only concerned with himself and is very disrepectful to the students in his class. How he is still a professor at FAU I will never know.
he likes to whine about everything, he needs to learn to take it like a man, his analogies are stupid and he waste a lot of time telling them, he has no communication skills so don’t try to talk to him or discuss anything with him, he will hold that against you. He likes to manipulate grades, he will claim is your writing, rounding.
This guy is completely crazy. I have no idea why any of these other comments praise him. He treats students like 6 year olds and not college students. He constantly says how he is "passionate" about teaching but doesn't actually teach anything. He will chase students down if they leave class then give a 45 minute speech on how awful and disruptive
horrible he is a phd that can't teach.
He really is passionate about his work and wants everyone to succeed. If you just pay attention to the readings for the quiz and at least put forth some effort you will do fine because he does not want to hurt your grade in any way.
Great prof compared to all others teaching this class (dropped Kaighobadi). He clearly explains everything.Attendance is MANDATORY because he only tests on his notes from class.Uses the textbook very little.Pay attention in class & take good notes. You will be surprised on test questions not relevant to material covered, but he did mention in class.
His lecture is modestly clear and 70% of the test are based in his lecturing. However, many random questions (surprises!) come from the textbook so be careful. His policy is more personal than academic. He grades a little bite harder. His arrogance to ethics and morality and discontent to random imperfections can be bothersome.
Test are pretty easy if you just study the notes...you dont really need to use the book at all...
This class is easy and he is a good teacher, some of the stories he tells can be anoying but they also teach you not to trust everyone and it has helped me. Just study what he says and it's an easy A.
Not a bad teacher but his ethics talk can be really annoying at times. As for the test, just show up to class and take good notes, read the textbook pages he assigns and you will definitely get an A. Test are very easy ONLY if you study!!!!
Not for lazy students!! He's clear on what he expects from students, you have to go to class (take good notes), and study then you should be fine. He actually cares about teaching and ethics issues so he's very passionate about those things.
SOO WEIRD!!
Too Much ethics
Coming from a average C student, this professor is amazing. Took this class during summer A, 2 tests and that was all. He does talk about ethics a lot but he is an awesome professor, really takes time to explain how to do things which a lot of other professors don't. Take good notes!!! Its all in the notes, I got an A!
All material is covered in the notes. Text barely used. If you go to class and follow his instructions on exactly how to do the problems you should do well. If you miss more than 1 to 2 classes you will be lost. Tests are not hard, but you must follow his instructions on labeling or you will lose credit even if you get the right answers.
This professor is so clear in his lectures, it is impossible to fail the class. If you are absent you will never catch up! So just attend every class, pay attention, take good notes(you really don't need the book), and your guaranteed an A. He gives problems for practice that are identical to the test. His theory on the test is exactly what he talk
He loves his profesion and he wants you to learn. He wants you to learn about honesty and ethics, great guy. That said, don't buy the book, I got an A an never opened mine. He will lecture all the material you need to know for the tests. You have attend all his lectures to pass this class, you miss one class and you fall behind; good luck.
As long as you attend and take notes you'll pass this class. Although he tries to be "vague" with what is on exams, its basically what you cover in class. Overall, a very nice professor who cares about his job and his students learning. I would reccomend.
One of the worst professors I've had at FAU. You won't learn a single thing about operations management. Instead, he complains about ethics in America the entire course. First exam, 54% of students failed. Doesn't have any real world experience in operations management. This professor has no common sense, you will not learn anything related to OM.

Speaks WAY too fast. HEAVY Accent and in a large room w/ echo its almost impossible to understand. Entire grade is based on two tests, half the test is M/C, some problems were worth 20-25 points each. Like someone said, 54% failed the first test and the curve was only an extra credit of a possible 4 points. I would avoid if I had to do it again.

Terrible Teacher, I wish someone told me on ratemyprofessor.com that he sucked before I took the class, 2 tests that are INSANE fails half of the class whether you are graduating or not, DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR
I completely agree with everyone below me! 54% of the class did fail the first exam. Aint no telling how many people did on the second exam. I surely did make a d+. Take him again nooo i wouldn't. If you take this teacher goodluck, be prepared, study hard, and make sure you absolutely know the material. His tests are based mostly off the notes. :-(
Worst teacher I've ever come across, Gave me a D+ and I couldn't graduate, I have no idea how he is still a teacher and because of him I will be taking the class next semester. Do not sign up for this mans class.
Great teacher, talks a lot though. About 10+ quizzes, from a book chapter or article. The math part is a bit much, but after QMB, MAN6501 and with his help, it shouldn't pose a problem. Good learning experience overall.
Tests entirely from class notes - no skipping. No book use at all. Very tough grader. Very idealistic teacher without a true grip on reality - hellbent on giving ethics speaches. After doing well on 1st test and quiz I was surprised to wind up with an average final grade in the course. Not the worst, but certainly there's better out there.
Easiest class and professor you could ever ask for. All you have to do is be in every class. Exams are STRAIGHT from the class notes. He does not have mandatory attendance, but to pass you need to be in every class. Super easy!
This professor is wonderful. He expects a lot from you but he prepares you very well for what he expects. If you ever need help, he will ALWAYS be in his office hours. There is a midterm, a final and 1 quiz. He prepares you very well for them, and they are straight from your notes. You MUST attend class to pass, althought attendance is not mandatory.
I wish that all the prof at FAU were as dedicated as this man is. He is extremely helpful and tests are straight from his notes. Attend class, take notes and you will pass!
This guy is bent on making you see the world through his eyes. He spends most of the time giving ethics lessesons that are unwarranted. The material is ok if you go to class and can understand his accent. Class is not difficult most of the test comes from in class notes.
First off, he means well. With that being said, this guy is way too focused on giving you life lessons on ethics and how the world should be, according to him. The class is informative and you will learn...but his inability to stay focused on the material and drifting into "life coaching" sessions. Overall, his class is pretty easy.
This class isn't easy to begin with but he tries to make it as simple as possible. Attendance is A MUST!! His ethics stories are interesting. Take notes, study and you should be fine.
Does not use the book, only his notes. Tests are a pain because he only gives a midterm, final, and 1 quiz. The material is fairly easy, but he stays the duration of the class and talks the whole time. Goes off subject on his ethics lessons.
Great Professor..cares about learning but talks alot.easier than QMB...makes operations so easy to understand..I will definitely recommend this professor.Just study his notes.same on exams!! Make sure to drink coffee before...
Even though this guy can be extremely annoying, he really knows his stuff and is actually excited to teach. The book was a waste of money, never even needed it. Everything is based on notes so GO TO CLASS!
Great Professor! Yes, he can talk a lot. Yes he's repetitive sometimes. But he loves what he does. He's actually interested in a student learning, not just passing. I know, what a concept huh? If you're a slacker, don't take this class. His exams are 95% from lectures but read the pages he assigns from the book if you want to ensure an A.
This class is not hard if you attend every lecture and study your notes. He talks a lot, but he only wants you to have a clear understanding of the materials. Two exams and a quiz that are pretty easy if you study the notes, practice the problems, & read the textbook pages he assigned. I highly recommend you to take him for this class.
By far the best teacher I have had at FAU. But take him only if you really want to learn and get some knowledge from college. If you just want an easy teacher I would not take him because you have to pay attention and study the material he gives you. He sincerely cares about his students and loves teaching. This course is also very applicable.
Not a good teacher
He makes his work his life. This course is easy as long as you go to every class. You do not need the book as long as you take his notes which are thorough. A great professor overall!
Great teacher! Can not miss any classes and you must do the practice exercises he gives you in order to pass the class. Does not use the book at all. Again, do not miss class and study the material and you will do fine. Not an easy pass, but a great teacher. He does go off on rants about ethics and what not but teaches exactly what is on the tests.
TAKE HIM. Attendance is at MUST.3 exams,1 quiz-exams are based on the class notes and are NOT hard if you study the class notes.Don't buy the book-you won't need it but DO NOT miss class if you want to pass this class the first time.Math problems are very easy once he explains them in class. He is the best prof. for this class. TAKE HIM!!!
His lectures are fairly easy to understand, but when it comes to the exams more not so easy, but half of exams questions are from the text which he never opened in class. so based on the lecture and practice sheets you still have to study entire chapters for exams. attendance mandatory, fussy professor wastes times lecturing about morals.
Very intimidating at first, but he has to be the best professor at FAU, He means well, his stories are funny. Tests are 95% on class notes so attendance is a must, even though he doesn't take attendance. Tests are 40% conceptual and 60% mathematics. They are straightforward directly from the notes. I would definite recommend him. Avoid Ravi Behara
Great Teacher. If you are into cheating, it will be terribly uncomfortable as he preaches the importance of ethics often. He makes great sense of the material and he is passionate about what he teaches. His Exams are very fair, easy in fact, if you study.
Really a fantastic teacher that created an enjoyable learning experience. The class is not as easy as many are saying and maybe the MBA version is harder. I got an A, but spent significant time studying. You are more likely to get an A with this professor than the other one and will learn more than the other professor. Best FAU MBA professor.
Wonderful ethical professor. A true gem a FAU. Best teacher I ever had. Cares for his profession and the students, impossible to find at this university.
He's the best professor at FAU. Incredible work ethics and vast knowledge. If you'd ever like to stand up against something because it's not THE RIGHT THING TO DO, call him. He'd most likely be there with you. GO TO CLASS and TAKE NOTES. The exams are mostly based on the class notes (which are not on the textbook). Overall, AWESOME TEACHER!
Really boring & very "old school". Technology scares him! Wants you to do 2 group projects with no BB tools & no meeting time in class. lectures last until 10p Set you up to fail if you dont come. Standards are too high & treats students like children. Will not take again unless he is the only option avail such as with this class.
This prof is terrible, calls you out if you have your cellphone on your desk, says he's here to help, but when you go to his office says, you're an adult, you have to figure it out, you're there all night & rambles on about ethics & stories that take you to the point 20 mins later. Strict &you feel like you're in high school again. Do not recommend.
He assigns ridiculously a LOT. There's a quiz, a paper and presentation due all on the same night at least twice. Will take off points for spelling in an otherwise perfect paper. Plays favorites. Talks a lot about himself and the articles he published. Will not take him again.
Loved taking Professor Babbar! If you're an average, dedicated student who is willing to put forth some effort, then Babbar's class is perfect for you. You WILL have a lot of work and you WILL need to go to class. His tests are all based off his in class lectures. Study his notes easily passing the tests!!! TAKE BABBAR for Service Operations!!!
I actually learned something in his class! Not the usual memorize the material for the test then forget about it. His tests are not cumulative. 95% of the test is based off lecture notes so the book is not needed. Attendance is required! Although he does not take it, his lecture notes are not posted to Blackboard.
Perception of ethics to the business world are so unrealistic its hard to listen to, he expects everyone to make things perfect for him yet unwilling to help others. He makes you feel stupid for asking questionsclarification and uses the excuse that we are adults and should understand. Go to class all tests are from notes!
Anyone who gave him a bad rating is just lazy. Babbar talks about real world examples that are easy to relate to & helps you learn & pass the class! His grading is given in detailed rubrics and assignments are black & white. If you're upset that he took off points for misspelling, you should learn to proofread- this is college. Take his class!!
This guy really cares about his students and he loves to teach. You must come to class, if not you're screwed! No textbook needed. Exams were challenge, but if you come to every class, ask questions, and study the notes thoroughly, you will be fine. No attendance taken.
The class is not hard, but the professor makes it boring and annoying. He will take point off your exam for simple things (ex. if you draw a line and don't do arrows). He likes to move people around, and he likes to teach like he is in India and how they do it other there. He likes to dictate the notes but its hard to understand what he says.
I wish FAU had more professors like Mr. Babbar. Go to class, write notes, participate, read notes, do HW, and you will will be fine. I would take professor's notes any day now vs. reading a book (900 pages). He will explain things so that you don't have to memorize. He really cares and you will truly learn to understand how things work in OM.
He doesn't post anything on BB so you will have to come to class & take very good notes. Tests are taken from the notes & he is very clear about what is most important to study for his exams. Read your notes after every class & practice the math problems! He wants students to understand the material rather than memorize it. I'd take him again!
Excellent professor, makes sure you understand all material and clearly covers everything that is going to be on the exam. No need to purchase the text, come to class takes notes and you get an A. I took this during summer 6:30 -9:40, you WILL NOT get out early so don't take this class if you whine about lecture being too long.
Prof Sunil is what every professor should be. What you care about is your chances of passing his class: Take this guy, don't miss class (You must take notes to pass), put your phone down for 3 hours, and give him the basic attention any person speaking deserves. He's old school, he doesn't only care about your learning, he will inspire you too.
Professor Babbar is amazing. He's passionate about teaching , deeply cares about his students, and respectful. He's not easy. Attendance is mandatory; your exams/quizzes are 95% based on class notes. There are no surprises on his exams which are based on his take home practice homework. You won't regret taking him.
Test 90% of grade! 2 exams and 1 quiz! Summer term! The first exam was easy the 2nd was too much to remember and I studied! No project or HW makes it even more important to do well on exams! He makes you study a lot of unnecessary material that was not even on the exam! He speaks really fast so it's hard to keep up! Very frustrating !
Take Prof Sweet!!!! Babbar has a heavy Indian accent, speaks extremely fast doesn't like to repeat himself. Doesn't like to be questioned, prefers to dictate what you need to write down. Goes off topic about personal and family stories, makes the material more difficult than it needs to be. Lousy Professor. Lacks ethics which is an irony. SMH
I took him for the first half of the summer term. Assignments: Two exams (90%) & one quiz (10%). He is one of the best professors I've taken at FAU. Must attend every class to obtain info on exams and handouts you need to practice/study. I would avoid this class if your looking for an easy grade. (Take if you want to learn something in college).
I took him for the first half of the summer term. Assignments:Two exams (90%)& 1 quiz (10%). Subject of this class is definitely tough so be ready to pay CLOSE attention to his notes. Talks about personal life, boring, but gives real life examples which makes it easy to remember. Attendance is MANDATORY; exams are 90% on notes 10% problem solving.
Best professor Ive ever taken. Professor Babbar seems super difficult at first but if you attend lecture you will learn a lot and not at all be deceived of what to expect on exams. For me he was a life changing professor and a very simple worth while class.
Lectures the whole class and has only 3 grades. 2 test which were 45% of the grade each. I took him over summer would not recommend. I finished with 91 in the class
I dropped the first day of class. You can legit not understand a word he says, he talks crazy fast. The course has quizzes, 2 exams and a long paper and presentation. He is very strict on not allowing phones. I showed up the first day and there are only 5 other students. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS
This class is very hard, he makes you take a whole bunch of notes, no study guides, no extra credit, nothing to really help you boost your grade. He wants everyone to earn every point. Makes it impossible to cheat, but if you study youll pass but you have to study every single thing he says in class.
It was hard to understand him at first but you can politely ask him to speak slower and he will do his best. Lecture heavy you have to study and do your home (he doesn't grade it) in order to pass. Attend every single class if you miss one ask a peer for the notes. This is not an easy A class you have to work hard for the grade.
The material for the course is extremely intimidating from the outside but he breaks it down in bits and makes it easy to follow with study guides so there's no confusion on what to study for the exams. Fill out his study guide and you'll be fine.
I took this class during covid, online. The professor has an accent, but the saved lecture videos were very helpful. Sunil provided the sections of each chapter you are to read which means we are only reading what is needed. He also provides a fill-in-the banks sheets for the lectures; Read over that and your notes, and you should do good on tests.
Took him for the 5 weeks summer course online. Lecture heavy, but the printouts which you take notes on is exactly whats going to be on the test. So study the notes he gives you and you'll do fine. He does have a bit of a heavy accent, but he explains everything in detail, and is willing to help you. 3 test and one quiz
Babbar is a GREAT guy and wants all his students to pass, but I will be honest: if you don't study all his skeletons immensely and pay attention to his lectures and watch EVERYTHING, you will not pass. No slacking. No hw, only test. There are 4 tests: midterm 1, 2, tqm quiz & final. Not cumulative. The information is hefty. NO STUDY GUIDE!
By far the best professor ever. He is very knowledgable on the subject matter and you definitely learn a lot. He gives lots of examples to better clarify what he is talking about. VERY LECTURE HEAVY. It is a 6 week course so be ready for 8 hour lectures total per week. Grade is based upon 3 exams and one quiz. Gives students recognition!
He's great! He cares about the topic and ethics of being a leader. I heard this class was going to be hard, but he makes it manageable. Just study his hand out and lectures and you will do great on the tests. I got almost got an A in this class but had some personal matters get in the way towards the end. However, I still passed with a B+.
8-week course with 2 tests, 1 quiz, and 1 final all proctored + webcam. Weekly class plus 3 videos to watch on your own every week (> 4hrs), all Math related. I tried emailing him with questions and he told me to watch the video again. Not friendly at all in helping students get better grades. No extra credit, no homework.
I DO NOT recommend anyone to take this professor. A few exams count for more than half your grade and you have to start the exam at the time your regular remote lecture time is, no matter if you work. I had to withdraw from this class because he refused to let me retake an exam due to having technical difficulties that impaired from doing the test
This is the absolute worst professor that I have had my entire three years at FAU. I genuinely hate this class and this professor. The course is based off of four different grades. Three exams, and one quiz. They are all proctored and you have one hour to complete 54 questions. No notes. He is extremely hard to understand, he has a heavy accent.
overall he was a good teacher. class is hybrid but it is not mandatory. he only graded on 2 tests and either 3 or 4 mini quizzes (which are really easy just have to read an article). tests are easy as well just make sure to study but the material is not hard to learn.
took this class in the summer it was fast paced because I took it for term 2. midterm was semi hard. Final was extremely hard I had to register for another class in order to raise my GPA. I got like a 60 on the final and 80s on the quizzes. don't take this class if you don't know how to study proficiently.
Professor Babbar's class is challenging but rewarding. Attend lectures, take notes, and utilize resources like Unstuck study for exam prep. Tough grading, but you'll learn a lot.
