This was such a good introduction class to mass media. If you are trying to write for the paper this is not the class for you it is just a overview of the types of media. Overall the professor was so engaging in the class and really made it easy to keep up with the work. Most of your exams were constructed with the students questions. Easy A!

Sunny is such a nice teacher. We'll be doing a discussion about one topic every single week. At first i kinda freaked out when I had to speak my mind in front of class ['cuz i'm not really good doing that]. Then I came to see her after class and she gave me some tips to overcome the fear. Guess what! I'm enjoying her class now! A must-take class!

Sunny is an excellent professor in every sense of the word and very knowledgeable of the course. She has an excellent choice of the reseach notebook materials, which is a weekly assignment. Great teacher. A lot of homework: 1 ch reading and 500 word response on article every week + 1 final research paper. However, great discussions and she's super helpful. Tests are based upon the students note cards so if you take good notes from the reading you'll get good grades on the tests. Really inspiring teacher!

This class is fairly easy, however there is a good amount of work. 1 chapter of reading/week (about 40 pages)& a written notecard (used for the final), 1 take home midterm, research notebook (done throughout the quarter) & a research paper. Honestly the best teacher I've had so far at De Anza. She's really passionate about her students and encourages everyone participate and voice out their own opinion. Her journal-notebook assignments may be a bit tedious, but it was totally worth it since we got to use it for the final. Midterm and Final was based on your opinion/interest. The best.

Of my 1 1/2 years at De Anza, she is the BEST teacher I've had so far. She makes learning fun, and really cares about her students. What I need is someone that can teach, to be nice is a bonus- b.t.w,she has both. Professor Sunny makes her class so that you HAVE to talk. Journalism was a great class that really opens your mind to media. I personally enjoyed the 12-page, yes twelve, research paper. Don't pick a topic that's so abstract, and I highly recommend presenting on the FIRST DAY, you'll be glad you got it over with when the Quarter approaches the end.

Jour 02 was such an interesting class and I'm actually using the skills learned in my other classes and everyday life. Research Project: choose a topic that interests you and it's easier than you think. (from someone who hates research projects) She is honestly a fantastic professor and I recommend taking this class to all of my friends.

I took this class for GE credit and absolutely loved it! Professor Sunny is so caring and knowledgable. I felt respected and was comfortable participating throughout the quarter. She makes the most of class time and I found myself growing in my awareness of how the media works after each class.

Journalism 2 with her has been the most grounding experience. It is in her class where I understood the value of pushing yourself to do the best you can for yourself. She gives such motivating feedback on all assignments and takes the time to make you understand how to do even better. If you're a Comm major, don't hesitate, you take away so much <3

Professor Sunny is truly one of the best and fosters such a positive class experience. The course covers basically every aspect of media and challenges you to be more aware and think about the media that surrounds us. The modules can be heavy sometimes but its never busy work and is interesting. Side note that textbook is provided so its free.

Professor Sunny is rare in the ammout of feedback she gives and the speed in which she replies. Additionally, this journalism class is of tremendous value to any field, compounded with a thoroughly thought out lecture, by the end of the quarter you will feel enlightened and glad you took this class with Sunny.

Professor Sunny is the BEST! Not only is she caring of her students, but she also replies and grades quickly. She also provides the textbook; yay! Her assignments and class overall are informative. Everyone should take this class because the information is valuable and it will strengthen their media literacy. Dedicate time to complete work :)

Professor Sunny provided many resources for class material, help on essays and extra credit assignments. The class is centered around the textbook and other videos, articles, that Professor Sunny choses. She sets her students up for success and offers great feedback for opportunities.

She gives such great feedback on your assignments which shows that she really does care about her students. There are many ec opportunities and you learn so much with the material she provides. These are all real world issues and are interesting to read about and discuss. There is a research paper, but she makes it easy to complete.

If you are taking Journalism 2, I would highly recommend Professor Sunny. She truly cares about the well-being of her students, and about their success in the class. She will also leave motivating comments on your assignments as well, which I loved. While her assignments are lengthy and a bit difficult at times, they build essential skills.

Prof Sunny is super awesome! She grades pretty easily if you try and she is super willing to help her students. She is relatively particular about some things, but if you email her, she will be willing to be flexible. My class was online and asynchronous, but would recommend her regardless if you need a class.

I found the class to be extremely intellectually stimulating, with lots of interesting and relevant topics addressed throughout the course. She gives extremely thorough feedback, clear grading criteria, and the class is very well-structured as many assignments build off each other as they lead to the final project. This was the best GE class I have ever taken! She gives helpful feedbacks. Some assignments were difficult but it really helps your critical thinking. There are many extra credit opportunities, so take advantage of them. As long as you follow the guideline and do every work, you will be fine. She really wants students to succeed.
