He is a phenomenal teacher with great expertise. He will explain things to you 10 times if need be and will always try to keep the class engaged. He is kind and calm and genuinely wants his students to understand the content. Exams and assignments long but fair. Time management is key and you will have to put in work. 9's will take effort and time.

We had a couple of students in the class who were quite obviously not professional. One student was rude to our professor asking questions that were not necessary. There was especially a girl in the class who asked dumb questions but he was very polite and even made an effort to answer. Very inspirational lecturer and we should have more like him

If you go to class, participate, talk to him and for god's sake LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN to what he says you will do well. Too many people don't listen and make up their own agendas. It is obvious he is really passionate about teaching and shows an in-depth knowledge of finance and accounting. He is always prepared and his presentation are never boring. Best of all, his classes are very interactive and you walk out feeling like you learned a lot.

He was a great professor and cared about his students and taught well. There was just a bit of a mix up on the midterm due to inconsistency between what he taught and what the lab TA taught but he cleared it up and gave marks where they were due.

I didn't know what to expect going to the classes. 8:30 am is tough to go to but Supinder made sure that the materials were interesting, fun and applicable for us. He uses technology really well in class and shares his notes well. Make sure to ask him for the notes as he will do that for ALL student as long as one asks.

His capstone course is fantastic because he put lots of emphasis on improving students' presentation and teamwork skills, which would play a vital part in our future studies and career life. I personally love his accounting course due to his excellent teaching approach. He is a very patient professor and he always explains things step by step. Also, he is especially good at summarizing hard materials so students can save lots of time by attending his class with a better leanring outcome.

Prof Supinder brings real life financial topics and discussion into class and from which students learnt about various concepts. The class is not 100% by the book but much more relevant. Test is decently difficult, have to work hard to secure an A. Overall, I learnt a lot in his class and the effort was paid for.

Yes, he cold calls, and at first, I wouldn't say I liked it, but if you listen to what he says, it's not about catching you out but about hearing from you and getting your opinion. Professor Supinder Babra was nice and respectful professor for ADMS 3521. His marking is decent, the major assignments are group based. The main factor in doing well in this course is finding a good group - who help in doing the group assignments. Other than that, textbook was used slightly and attendance is mandortory for marks.

One of the best profs at Schulich uses excel to teach finance instead of pen and paper, teaches very well not the most responsive outside of class hours however still an amazing prof worth taking if given a chance.

Supinder made managerial finance very accessible for me with little finance background going into my MBA. He leverages Excel to teach us finance instead of teaching us math, mimicking real business situations. He genuinely cares about students and connects with us in a caring way. A very tough course for me given my health sciences background. I learned a lot in class and the excel was new but very useful. Pay attention in class and ask lots of questions. At the end I wished we had more classes as I was getting it. Professor Babra is real good at getting you to understand the concepts well.
