This teacher is GREAT - just pay attention!
She is anything but great. She was very rude to people, and very unclear about assignments. She would tell us to pick our own topic to write about, and nearly everything anyone suggested was rejected. She was also somewhat **** in her opinions.
She's reasonable. She's an awesome teacher. You WILL learn something!
She's cool
AWESOME teacher. Very far. Not a difficult class at all. A no stress class. LOVED her!
She's not a very uptight teacher, however she isn't very fair with grading. She's one of those teachers that you have to be on her very good side in order to get a good grade sorta thing.
Horrible. I would work hard on papers, only to find out that everyone recieved the same grade. Doubt she read them. Always taking breaks and leaving the class unattended. Horrible.
You might want to consider taking another instructor. This instructor is fair, but she lacks the great envirnment that others have. Just a though.
Requires effort.
Acharya has been teaching English for almost 15 yrs and I thought it would be a great class. I was wrong. It was very boring, didn't learn much...very unclear
She gave me a C when I deserved a B. Bad teacher, didn't teach me anything
I was soo confused in that class because I never knew what she wanted...ever! I worked my butt off and barely got a B.
She was very unclear on what she wanted! When I asked for help she was very vague in her answers. I learned nothing during her classes. When the class started there were 28 students and people who wanted to add. At the end of the semester there were 7 students left in the class. That says it all!
She is all over the place. I had to ask her questions twenty times to get an answer i understood. She is very confusing, and she will ask you to write papers that are above her teaching ability. So you have to teach yourself.
She's a punk. Dont take her. She does not teach. I have to be a teachers pet just to get a good grade. She just doesn't teach anything in her class. She makes us read a loud as if we were in 3rd grade. She does not grade fairly.
THIS IS THE EASIEST GRADE YOULL EVER GET. SHES HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND CAN NEVER SEEM TO STAY ON THE SAME SUBJECT,SHE GIVES TONS OF WORK AND SHE DOESNT EVEN READ IT. YOU CAN BS THROUGH ALL THE WORK AND STILL PASS WITH A B IF YOU WANT AN EASY GRADE AND DONT WANT TO LEARN ANYTHING TAKE THIS CLASS. IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR SCHOOL TO LEARN RUN AWAYFROM HER
She is the worst teacher I have ever had! She is vague, ambiguous, and horrible! When it came time to do a ten page research paper she was so incredibley unorganized and vague! No one knew what the hell she wanted from us. She sucks, and I can't believe she is still teaching! If you want an easy A--go for it, but you'll have nothing but headaches!
It is hard to believe that someone like her could be teaching at a college level. She is never straight forward about what she wants, and is consistantly unorganized. She is demeaning and rude at times-especially when you ask her to be more specific. I made that mistake, and all she could do was put me down. SHE IS BY FAR THEE WORST INSTRUCTOR!
She was very unclear on what she wanted and when you asked her to explain it in more detail she looked at you like you were stupid for not understanding her. She expects you to know and understand everything she talks about. But overall she was entertaining. The class lectures were fun if you spoke up.
She came in one day and gave us a huge assignment (worth 10% of semester grade) which was not on the syllabus. Her instructions were confusing and self-contradictory, yet refused to clarify details, saying "You know what to do, stop asking questions." She then gave ZERO credit to 28 of 30 students in the class for not following the instructions. :(

she's pretty easy, but be prepared to stand up and talk
She is kind of crazy sometimes... but I think the class is easy.... just do what she says to do even if it doesn't make sense... and you get an A
don't take her.
although most seem to not like her, i loved her. true, she's not so organized and makes a lot of changes to the syllabus, but she engages class in interesting discussions. her class if VERY easy if you do all of the work (the only assignments were 1 pg. reading logs and in-class essays); if you do 3/4 of the reading (and understand them) you'll d
i did all the assignment, was there everyday, understood everything perfectly and aced the tests...i got a C in the class. could SOMEONE explain this to me? why didnt i ever try to change that grade....
I really liked this class. She was one of my favorite teachers when I was at RCC. She can be very demanding of the quality of work but she is also very understanding. I got really sick at one point and she was really cool about working around the days I had to miss. She is a sweet lady. Take her
The class was pretty easy but whenever you would get your papers back, you would always get the same comments. Then when you would ask her to help you figure out what was wrong with your paper, she would be evasive about it, saying things like "it could've been written better".
I got good grades on all my essays and did all the homework and in-class assignments... I should've gotten at least a "B"... and this teacher ended up giving me a "C". She's smart because she asks for all the work to be turned in at the last day of school... So if you take her, remember to make a copy of all the assignments with the points on them, so you have proof to show the school that she gave you the wrong grade at the end of class... otherwise, DON'T TAKE HER...
dont take her
Too easy; if you want an easy teacher, take her!
A NICE TEACHER WITH GOOD INTENTIONS. TAKE HER CLASS AND GET TO KNOW HER, CAUE EVERYONE HAS MORE UNDER THE SURFACE THAT IS WORTH GETTING TO KNOW......
She is completely unorganized. She likes to leave the room and come back 40 min. later. She does not hand out any promts. Her essay formats are ridiculous. Summary, biography, and then analysis. She is a very funny person though, and keep all of your work. Easy class, but you can probably learn more from a monkey.
Don't pay attention to the syllabus because she DOESN"T!! Acharya is extremely disorganized which leads to classroom chaos. She routinely stepped out for coffee for 40 mins. during our class.Group work is a joke! She is not specific with ANY instructions & she has a problem with showing up for her office hours.Way too much Havoc for 4credits
PROFESSOR ACHARYA IS NOT GOOD AT ALL! SHE DOES NOT FOLLOW HER SYLLABUS AND SHE IS VERY UNORGANIZED! NOT VERY CLEAR WITH INSTRUCTIONS! NOT WORTH PAYING MONEY FOR THIS CLASS............
DO NOT take this prof. if you want better than a C. Prof. does not follow syllabus and is very dis-organized. Gives prompts 1 or 2 days before 6 page paper is due. Not impossible if your only class w/ no life. Tardiness not tolerated, but she leaves 30-40min for coffee. No lecture to explain material and cannot give clear examples of what she wants
Yeah her instructions are pretty general, but she also explains what she does NOT want to see on assignments. She's not a hard teacher, you just have to make sure you do your work. If you do not like homework, and you like getting spoon fed don't take this teacher. I wouldn't recommend this teacher, but she's not a bad choice.
One of the worst teachers I have ever had!
bit hard to understand, kinda killed writing for me
really difficult to improve your grade because she doesn't give much feed back. I definitely do not recommend her to anyone.
She's spacey, unorganized, gives little to no direction for assign. probably the worst Eng prep class cuz it was NOT challenging. She barely goes over the context of the works which bothered me cuz I had to do my own research. Minimal writing assign., weekly 1 pg jrnls, 4 essays. Not the best teacher but she's a very nice lady if anything.
Pay attention to her ratings!! I wish I had! This is not a critical thinking class, it is a class on feminism. She is nice, but her assignments are unclear, she does not give feedback, and will give different instructions to individual students. If you want an A, or even want to learn, DON'T take her class!
If you are serious about school or want an A do not take her. She is unclear on assignments ill prepared and doesn't lecture much. She'd be fine if this was an and ENG 50 class but its 1B no critical thinking here. Always late and assigns lots of group work while in class... basicly she's just there for the paycheck and her benefits.

it was extremely difficult to understand her writting and it was hard to understand her accent. basicaly she would leave us to figure out what to do.
How can anyone hate this lady? She is TOO nice and SUPER laid back. Sure, you won't learn really anything, but I highly recommend taking this as an intercession course. Easiest english class I've ever had. Who cares about how she teaches? You gotta pass this crap anyways to transfer.
She is really laid back, and there were times that i felt unclear about the assignment, but I still got a B in the class.lets you re-write your paper w/ the lowest grade. You have to act out shakespeare in front of the class. She didn't get me excited about Eng, but to be fair, no one in the class had any enthusiasm in discussions, like pulling teet
She's not too bad. It is very important to attend class & participate...she likes those that do. You get to re-do 1/4 papers. Do all the journals and you should be able to pull off a b. she's a nice lady yet sometimes confusing.
pretty run of the mill english professor, not too entertaining, not too insightful, not too interesting of a perspective and really nothing new. easy to pass if you do reading and the homework. would be nice if shakespeare wasn't the only thing teachers relied upon for quality literature in the english language.
I am an English major and after taking this class I totally felt like English had failed me. She is a nice lady but that is about all. I learned not one thing in this class. It seems as if she grades the essays on the spot. And she is just making up the schedule as she goes along. If you want an easy grade it's not too hard but it will be boring.
My college GPA 3.6 this teacher has decided Im a D student. I would write papers she would say this doesnt follow prompt asking where it doesnt and she replied oh it's implied.I went to her paper inhand 2 days before it was due she said looks good I got a D I had other english teachers read the prompt, my paper they said it was at least a B
This teacher is not too bad but if you really want a proffesor that teaches dont take her. her class is easy as long as you attend and do assignments. keep it cool with her and she'll keep it cool with you. =)
She was a nice person and class wasnt so bad but she was completely unclear with what she wanted from the assignments. She would tell different students different things and then look at you like you were crazy if you asked her to clarify. I would never take her class again and everyone in my class shared my views.
her class was awesome!! If you put effort and follow her directions you'll do fine!!! I love her she is fun!!
Group sessions is NOT teaching. I learned nothing. I might have just stopped going to class and read the footnotes in the text; I learned more THAT way than by attending. What a waste of time.
so awesome!!
She is a nice woman and the class is easy. The problem is that she does not teach at all. If you want to simply pass this eng1b requirement, then by all means take her. But as many have stated already, she takes off at random times (coffee) and leaves the students with vague ass instructions or useless/stupid assignments. Still pretty easy though.
She is by far the worst professor. Her class is easy because We never did anything productive. She makes up assignments on the spot and does not follow the syllabus. She often just leaves the class and comes back whenever. She is a really hard grader.
horrible teacher. the most annoying facial expressions. confusing. puts her personal bias into her teaching. will blow you off if you ask for help. makes things up as she goes along. will tell you different things about assignments, then deny it dont take her, she is snooty and condescending.
she's not a bad teacher. u have to go to class & participate. u also have 2 do the work & a B is doable. if u want an A u got be on ur game & be askin her ques 24/7
The good news: she's nice. The bad news: everything else. She is horribly unorganized, her directions are almost incomprehensible and I learned absolutely nothing. Hands down, THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. Taking her class is essentially a semester-long migraine.
She is really laid back! The whole class revolved around writing 6 papers (3 in class and 3 outside)I wrote garbage for the in-class papers and still got a "B". If your looking to slack and get an easy grade in Eng 1B take her!
1st of all u get marked down 4 not agreeing w/her even if u show evidence 4 ur opinion. im usually an A student in Eng im majoring in it and still got a C! also she expected us to rewrite a 6 pg paper in 1 day because she changed her mind on the topic. Never says what she expects, I don't think she even knows and no use asking 4 help shes useless
Wow. These comments match her perfectly. She's my first prof. out of HS and I was expecting something MUCH different. Everything I learned from my last amazing Eng teacher she wants me to unlearn. Does leave class. Doesn't teach. Lets us out early. Just didn't show up today... Gives credit as long as you do it. Difficult to understand. :(
she barley sticks to the syllabus. she is constantly changing her mind, she made me rewrite a large essay the night before it was due. she does not give clear examples. and her creative writing is so structured it is hard not only to pick a topic but find enough to say. she hasn't taught us one ting useful in the whole semester
Teacher is really nice although she does goes into tangents. She does change her mind on assignments but you just have to clarify with her the assignment that is due. As long you do all your work she will give you a good grade. If you miss an assignment she will allow you to turn it in just turn it in even if she says it is to late.
comments are accurate. she's hard to understand, unclear about due dates. i was absent she went to drop me, when i pointed out that even if i was zeroed out on participation and the journals i could still pull a b+, she then rearranged the whole syllabus to ensure id have an f if i didnt drop. nice!! shes a cool person though
Oh boy, this teacher is a joke. She doesn't even know what she has assigned and rarely lectures. Most of the class revolved around watching youtube. Would have been alright, but she grades her papers really hard. She couldn't even explain why she gave me the grades she did. Nonsense Professor!
She is scatter brained and does change her mind at the last minute. She explains due dates terribly, but if you use her syllabus, you will be fine. Ignore when she says things are due, and use the syllabus. Other than that, she is brilliant. I loved her. As wacky as she is, she is a great is a instructor. Attendance is MANDATORY and don't be late.
If you are an AMAZING english student, you will be lucky to recieve a 'B' like I did. Keep on her about your grade because she is a screwball. She will look at your past grades and tell you that your grade is the one you recieved most. I dont recommend her to people who are not proficient at english and writing papers.
Surekha is completely scatterbrained. She has a sweet disposition but she's very disorganized and doesn't care if you learn anything. Her Magazine Prod. class is easy to pass but you won't learn anything. Her English classes are dangerous because she doesn't teach well but she'll expect you to pass her final. Your GPA could suffer.
All the comments below are true. I took her class and hated it like my class mates. She changes her mind alot, plus its hard to understand what she wants. She cant explain how to write any type of essay required by her. Who ever said she doesnt care if you learn was soo correct. THERE ARE PLENTY OF BTTER PROFESSORS!
ughh keep away!!! seems nice but then surprises u at the end of the course with an F.
DO NOT take this class. This is for your benefit. She does not care about you or your grade; she losses students work, and then says that it was not done. I am an A/B student, and she gave me a C. She tell students one thing and does something different, so save yourself the trouble and take a different professor because she shames all English professors.
if you are an extremely oraganized person who doesnt need a syllabus to do well in a class then you will do fine in her class. otherwise BEWARE this lady is super disorganized and doesnt follow the syllabus and forgets to mark in grades so always keep ur work. oh and she sometimes forgets to read all of an essay. but she is nice.
Just by looking at the syllabus and the information she hands out it seems as though it is going to be an instructive and challenging class, but in all actuallity it is completely the opposite. Acharya doesn't critique essays so you don't really know what you need to fix. I came out of that class without having learned anything memorable.
this lady should not be teaching. waste of time!!!!! gives busy work then leaves to her office to have her lunch. her expectations of you are not clear. learned nothing from this class and she will not (or is not) able to help you in her course. 5 essays in this course 3 of which are in the last two months of semester. absolutely awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are lucky enough to read this before taking her class STAY AWAY!!!! ALL of the the comments on her are pretty accurate. You will learn nothing from her and just waste time and energy.
This class is fairly easy, you do need the textbook and there is a lot of group work. Teacher is nice, I'd take her class again if I weren't done with English.
I loved this teacher!!! She was really nice a reasonable. Always had a smile on her face and was ready to help. The reason i got a C is because i didn't try as hard as i should of. But all around a great teacher.
SUMMER SEMESTER. Easy class if you have the skill. Does not necessarily help your skills. Critiques papers but adds no input/what you did wrong/how to improve, etc. Therefore, it is VERY HARD to improve your writing and your grade. You need to meet with her during office hours for an A (if you are a "B" english student like myself).
WORST Professor I've had at RCC so far. She is incredibly unclear on what she wants from you in your essays, doesn't prepare you to write them what so ever! And she lectures MAYBE a total of 2 classes, the rest was group work or watching a movie...You learn nothing about how to improve your writing skills! STAY AWAY!
NO! No, no, no, no! Do NOT take her. Sure, the lectures are easy because she, well, does not lecture. You usually watch a movie or group work in class. BUT...her grading technique is crap, she does not critique your essays at all, and you learn ABSOLUTELY nothing in class. STAY AWAY.
Dr. Acharya is very kind and insightful. She has a good sense of humor, and can be flexible, but she can be a bit unclear about what she wants. This class has a lot of reading and group work, but your grade is based mostly on the in-class essays.
There were few lectures in class and I learned next to nothing. She seems nice enough but she is very unorganized and tends to lose things so make sure to keep a copy of your work incase she loses it. She grades hard on papers which are the majority of your grade. Very vague on instructions and doesn't keep you updated with your grades.
She is very unorganized and she is unclear about what she wants. Do not take her unless you want to be more confused about english
If you manage to read this before taking her class then you might have been saved. Yeah she is a nice lady but that's about she goes over nothing with you, and you are doubtful to get anything out of the class. She is by far the worst teacher I've had yet so far and would strongly suggest that you take someone else.
She is a nice teacher. I took her class this fall, I think she's great. Stop the hate.If you're a lazy student, it's your fault not the teacher. Take her class, she's the best!
She is a great teacher, and these people are just the slackers and talking out of their gluteus maximus. If you need help, all you have to do is ask and she will deliver, these people were just afraid to ask for assistance and were left behind. I would recommend her, and even though she may seem chill, her essays won't be.
Very unorganized. We had lectures for the first month or so after that she showed videos and documentaries and sent us to the library instead of instructing. The instructions were unclear for assignments. She broke faculty rules several times, but has been here too long to be fired, so just don't take her class. Not dsps friendly.
I adored her. She is very warm and hosts very interesting discussions. She highlighted the entertainment aspect of Shakespeare and allows for interpretation of the works. Although she is not organized well she is a joy to have and her class has been one of my favorites.
Ms. Acharya's class is very easy. I had her for 1A and decided to take her for 1B because I enjoyed her class so much. She might be unclear with directions sometimes, so don't be afraid to ask.
She is nice but I would not recommend her class. She gives due dates and then forgets when they are. She makes you turn in your homework only to give it back to you without putting it in her grade book. If you do not give her the piles of homework at the end of the semester she doesn't give you points. Unorganized.
OK, I am not one to really post about a teacher but hell. This teacher is REALLY REALLY REALLY un-organized. She lost three of my papers which put a ding on my grade. She isn't clear about what she is looking for in a paper. All assignments are group work so its not really fair to everyone. Doesn't follow her schedule. All in all DO NOT TAKE HER!
Not Helpful. Not organized. I did not understand what she was talking about. Gives busy work. Definitely not reliable when it comes to grades. Terrible. Not recommended.
The professor was clear and understandable. I would have to say she did not really cover much of the material, rather it was more of a self taught class. On the plus side, you did not need to put in much effort to pass just simply come everyday and try the best at the assignments. The essays and quizzes were not hard as long as you paid attention.
Horrible teacher, she is never clear about the homework she assigns. She is very unclear about assignments that need to be turned in. Gives a ton of busy work, very unorganized. Never know your grade for the class until the end. Is very forgetfull about due dates and what she assigned.
Professor Acharya will grade you at the same standard set for English students at Harvard, Yale, etc. She expects you to come to her for specific learning needs. This was the hardest "A" I've earned in college, but meeting with her and discussing the long essays made me a better writer. If literary analysis isn't your strength, don't expect an "A"
I took her 1A class over Winter and everything besides your essays are done in groups. She does not explain anything well yet expects perfection. She will put you on blast in front of the whole class for things you had no idea she wanted. She is a nice lady but her class is hard to do well in.
her class so bad she never explain what she want you to do everything in groups expect essays dont take her class
Worst professor I have ever taken. Get ready for quizzes from the textbook but also her random google searches, material that wasn't covered in class and that you aren't even sure are real. Replaces lectures with YouTube vids. Doesn't know what she's talking about and it shows by how much she has to search for. Stretches class out but won't cut it.
I took Prof Acharya for Eng16 (Linguistics). Im stunned by others negative remarks. My end grade will be a B. The material is tough, but she helps you and offers extra credit. She expects assignments to be turned in and has quizzes & tests. Hard material but great teacher. I will be taking her for English 1B because I like her so much.
Tons of little group projects for easy points. About 6 essays total. Isn't really clear on instructions unless you ask. really cool and laid back, likes to joke around a lot. My class always persuaded her out of assignments and to end class early. Must put in work for grade though.
I don't know why Professor Acharya has such a bad score here. I actually found her class to one of the easier classes I have taken at RCC. I took her ENG-1B class for summer 2017. She has a lot of assignments but they are very easy to complete, I usually completed them during WRC. She has three essays out of class and three in class.
Does not follow her late paper policy. It's clearly stated in the syllabus that late papers are marked down a letter grade each day it's late. I turned a paper in 3days late, but this professor only gave me "token points". She did not even read my essay. I was given 25% of the points instead of grading the paper and knocking off 30%. Could've had B
She is not very clear on what she wants from the class. Very nonlinear in her thought process, always jumping around, it's very difficult to follow. For some reason she didn't pass out or email us the study guides/homework/etc, she would project it onto the board and you would have to take a picture with your cell. Very difficult.
Terrible at giving directions, gives busy work/in class assignments. Doesnt teach. Pretty boring class, you dont really learn anything. If you like English, dont recommend taking this professor. No structure. Be prepared to ask questions to clarify each assignment because she wont go into any detail.
She NEVER responds to emails, everything has to be turned in physically and she's never in her office. If you take her, your syllabus is your guide because she WILL NOT tell you assignments are due until the day they're due. She doesn't give any details on assignments and drops people immediately if they don't show up. I don't recommend her at all!
3 in class essays and 3 take home essays , she is a hard grader I got Cs in all essays . Lots of reading and group projects
The only way to have contact with her is in person because she rarely replies back to her emails. 3 long papers, 2 in-class essays, DLA's, 2 group presentations, and 1 research paper as a final exam. Not specific with what she wants on the essays, but is an easy grader. Gives a chance to redo the long papers. Cares about students passing.
Ms acharya is a VERY sweet lady, however i did find that in the beginning she presented the class to be very laid back and easy A. Well, she apparently had very high UNCOMMUNICATED expectations for the class. She almost never actually taught a lesson, gave many unclear assignments and then graded them too harshly.
Nice person but as a professor I cannot recommend her to anyone. She grades SO tough yet never gives a clear criteria (not even a rubric) of what she wants, nor does she give good feedback when you do things wrong. She takes a VERY long time to put stuff in the gradebook so at the end of the class I am worrying about what my final grade will be.
Professor Acharya didn't teach anything in lectures. The discussions were dominated by two students in my class and they taught me more than she did. The class seems laid back but my essays were graded harshly and I didn't know what I did wrong. I felt confused throughout her class and I didn't know what was going on half of the time.
horrible with technology. didnt know how to put our grades in the system so spent a whole semester having no idea what my grade is. nice lady but harsh grader that gives no rubric or feedback as to what you did wrong, often hard to reach via email, and useless with technology despite us being online only. Seriously pls dont take her class.
If you can avoid taking this class, PLEASE do so. This professor is way harder with English 1A than English 1B. She's not clear with what she wants on her essays and discussions. It feels like no matter how hard you try, it's like she wants you to fail. She doesn't give helpful feedback at all either.
Nice person but horrible grader/teacher. She felt the need to say that going to class was not mandatory but changed her mind midway through the semester. She does not grade clearly, has terrible powerpoints, and will assign work on the same day it's due. I'd avoid going into this class and to just look for another teacher instead.
I never knew what my grade was throughout the course so I didn't even know if I was currently failing or passing her class. Unnecessarily a harsh grader and does not give any help or remarks to help you understand what you can do to have a better paper. Some essay prompts will have you do 6 pages or more when it can easily be done with less pgs.
Discussion post/ response that answered the prompts, exceeded the length requirements, and was grammatically sound? 8/10 Grade for first homework assignment: 9/10 with feedback: "Excellent points". I don't know how she arbitrarily decides your score, but as an A student who does the work, I didn't appreciate it. Dropped.
Don't bother turning in late work! Save your time and energy for any other class. Even if it's late by just a few minutes she won't accept it and docks points if you don't meet her high expectations on homework and essays. Never got full points on anything just doing the minimum word count, despite covering everything she asked for in the prompts.
This class was stressful for no reason.
She was not helpful throughout the entirety of the course. would ask for why I got a certain grade and every time the only critique she'd give me was "there were some format errors," but never went beyond that. scheduled zoom meetings n' all she could give was "it wasn't what she wanted." If you HAVE to take her, good luck. This class was awful.
Most of her lecture consist of things that you are not going to need in your exam and papers. She never give any feedback or how to revise your papers. I suggest to AVOID her class at any cost.
This professor doesn't seem like she cares about giving you a good grade, seems like her ego is bigger than wanting the students to succeed. She barely gives feedback. Avoid taking her at all costs. She never gives a perfect score even though her minor feedback is "excellent".
She is nice but unfortunately she really is a bad professor. Doesn't explain why she docks points even if keep asking about it, despite matching every requirement in her rubric she WILL give you the lowest score in your tier, if 10 or 9 out of 10 is an A, she will give you a 9/10. She also keeps work locked right until a few hours before it's due.
Regrettably the worst teacher/experience I've ever had. She does not give clear instructions on assignments and when she will drop them. Barely gives any time between assignments. Will not take any legitimate excuse for an extension if needed. Grades REALLY harshly and refuses to give clear reason as to why. Late in submitting final grade.
Really awful educator. Not tech savvy, consistently made errors on due dates and did not inform the class of last minute date changes. Provides zero feedback even if you beg for it, refuses to give full credit, I dont think a single student got 10/10 even once. Its a shame she is able to fail students without beint stopped. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
She was VERY sweet and laid back, but a tough grader and not teach savvy. I was initially irritated that I did not have a grade in her class until the end of the semester. If you take the class, you need patience. But the workload is predictable and manageable after a while. She's really not as bad as everyone says :)
shes one of the worse teachers i ever took. i understand that shes also a human being and had a lot going on with her husband since he has cancer but it is not an excuse to give us loads of work and essays when half of the time she wasnt even present at her own class. Discussions were impossible to get 10/10. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
this professor was so difficult, disorganized and not helpful. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. I went through so much with her that made me come to a conclusion she does not care. The professor will never hand a 100%, usually gives you no constructive criticism to understand what one can do to get a full score. Attendance affects your grade.
Do not take! She's not tech savvy. You will never get a 100%. Miss 1 day and drop a letter grade. No communication with students. Constantly forgetting to upload assignments. Stay up on sunday cause she uploads 8-10pm and are expected to read before class. In-class assignments are not graded. Weekly WRC/Lab, Discussions, and Study Questions. Run!
Never take her class, she is awful. She will make you embarrassed in front of the whole class. She is very raced as well. I took her class and cried because of her, then dropped her class. She ruined my grades, cut all my points, and said that I couldn't write, but even WRC instructors said my writing was so good.
She's horrible never gives 10/10 even if i write them really well! No feed back on how i can Improve them! Always just gives me 7-8/10 and says good job! Never gives good grades to anyone in the i even asked my class mates!
This professor is kind but needs to retire. She does not know how to work canvas and grades heavy on attendance. She believe everything is plagiarized and never fully gives a good grade. you can pass every assignment and miss one day and a whole grade level will be down.
she is the worst professor ever!
She is an awful educator, always makes errors on due dates, and does not inform the class of last-minute date changes. She provides zero feedback even if you beg for it and refuses to give full credit. I don't think a single student got 10/10 even once. It's a shame she can fail students without being stopped. She is so races is well.
Avoid this professor at all costs! She's disorganized, unhelpful, and harsh with grading. The class is extremely difficult, with strict attendance policies and unclear instructions. However, Unstuckstudy could be a lifesaver for study prep.
