nice, but very boring tough marker
Nice, seems to really enjoy what she's doing, always willing to help. A bit of a tough marker but otherwise good prof.
My final mark will only be approximately 65%. Was Susan easy? -- NO -- but she was fair. Great Prof.
Very nice lady, tough marker though, needs to work on making the class more interesting and less mind-numbingly boring.
hard but very nice and extremely open minded the only prof that will take opinions other than her own into consideration...very boring however
Very nice lady, but really tough marker!!
A smart woman and a good teacher. She marks rather hard but makes useful comments.
This class could be boring at times, but I really enjoyed it. Expects a lot out of your papers and makes extensive comments which are helpful. I recommend her; she knows her lit and is willing to help.
She is a VERY kind and generous woman. I went from having all 90s in highschool english to 60s in her class though. Not a very good highschool to university transition for a 100 level class.
She is the most available and helpful teacher that I have had. The grades may not reflect what I have learnt, but there is no doublt I came out of that class with an improvement of 100%.
It's pretty much all been stated here...a tough marker, excruciatingly boring classes, but a quirky, intelligent woman. Focus on romantic period poetry. If you want a helpful prof, take susan Bauman's class.
worst sense of humour, she laughed at the most innapropriate things. she gives you help and then when you make the adjustments accordingly, she marks them wrong.
what a tool. seriously. she needs a life
That previous comment is just nasty! Prof. Bauman really helped me. Very approachable and friendly. Writes amazingly detailed e-mails. Sure, the class could be boring at times--but grammar is boring, and poetry is hard. At least she's enthusiastic!
way too hard of an adjustment. just takes any pleasure out of english. too much emphasis on poetry
huge work load, tons of grammer quizzes and did not make any attempts to make the boring material the least bit interesting
too much boring poetry and grammer
such a dull teacher who is more interested in the material she likes with no consideration as to how boring and hard it is.
if you don't like sucking up and really boring poetry, dont take this class
helpful yes, interesting, clear, any other quality that would make the course interesting.... no
I don't know what my mark is going to be in this class yet, but I find the Gothic stories in this course very interesting. Lectures are a bit hard to follow at times, but also contain some good insights. Susan is friendly and very approachable.
most boring prof ever
Very nice and understanding. She writes very detailed notes(and even types them up) for each paper, which is extremly helpful! gothic lit has been very interesting! i recommend her.
We read really interesting stories. I loved Poe, Le Fanu and Jane Eyre. Susan's lectures were interesting and she was always available. I appreciated the feedback on papers, too. Good class!
Dr. Bauman's encouragement and helpful comments inspire confidence in your own ability. She really helped me improve my essay writing. I liked the material we studied too, although sometimes the lectures were a bit overwhelming.
good class. shes ok. hard marker, tho!
marks hard.. boring class, even worse topics, but she'll help you out with revising over and over again. Very nice woman
I liked this class in Gothic lit. Really entertaining. Poe rules!
I took this course in the summer. It was rushed but I really liked her teaching style. I'd take a course from her again.
Great teacher, I'm dissapointed I won't be taking any more classes with her!
class wasn't the worst ever. essay writing was hard, and ended up with a page of cristisisms after each essay saying how bad it was. wouldn't reccomend it.
Susan is very passionate about what she does, but I found after 3 weeks straight of analyzing boring poetry that I yearned to move on to something else. The class can be a little tedious at times, but my essay writing improved a lot. She is soooo nice though, and loves what she does. Recommend.
I found her to be a little passive-aggressive, but overall it was an okay class. read all of the books and you'll be fine.
Dr. Bauman picked excellent poems to study! Fair assignments. Didn't really promote class discussion, and class could get very long. Very hard marker. She just says the same old Eng Prof comments, like "work on thesis," or "too descriptive." Her comments need to be more specific.
Bauman is a very pleasant person with a great sense of humour. Takes forever to mark papers, is not clear on what is needed in a paper, and is an extremely tough marker. Recommend, but only if you enjoy analyzing the heck out of literature.
Dr. Bauman was very knowledgeable about the material. We had great class discussions; loved the detailed course syllabus. I did find I got a bit 'lost' when we rushed things toward the end. I know we were behind because of all of the engrossing class discussion, but the rushing was unorganized and hard to follow. I do recommend her, though.
She's a nice lady, knowledgable and everything...just a slow marker, asks for a LOT of writing, and very hard marker although she gives you a lot of good criticism which helps. However if she got the papers back in time before we have another one due the criticism might have helped in time :P
An absolute sweetheart. Very passionate about what she does, very encouraging. If you go to talk to her, be prepared to stay and chat a while. Very helpful, about anything and everything. Likes to analyse things. Slow marking but has some helpful comments. She loves class discussion. Put in the effort and you'll get a good mark. Recommended.
She is a very good prof. If you pay attention, ask questions, and read the books, then you will do fine. I would totally take another class from her.
Really knew her stuff, and was sympathetic to our work load (5 novels). Interesting; took me awhile to dissect the info. I needed, since lectures were so informative. Susan can be a little unorganized, or scattered, but overall, she's a good egg=). Advice: read all material, be prepared for group discussion, and be unique for essays.
She is very nice and approachable. She makes you feel very comfortable and never puts you on the spot. She's a very very nice lady. She's always there to help you. It's a faily interesting class. She talks fast so write quickly. Pretty easy marker. I suck at writing essays and i got high 60's low 70's on them. Final was pretty easy too.
I got a 77 in this course. It was pretty good. There's a LOT of reading, but it's all interesting. Dr. Bauman is also really understanding and kind if you have personal problems which affect your deadlines. I'd recommend her.
Had her for ENGL 100 and decided to take her again for 110 even though I thought she was boring the first time around her marking was okay and she was helpful. Not the case in 110. The novels (4) and short story where huge and she wasn't very helpful. I got 73%
She's a terribly sweet woman, and very approachable. She's not the most generous marker, but she is fair, and I found her criticism of my essays very helpful and constructive.

Very enthusiastic, helpful, and sweet lady. Lectures are full of info, but very haphazard and disorganized. Never quite made clear what was required reading and what wasn't. Found her grading unpredictable, though was never really unhappy with any mark I received. Learned everything and nothing from the class because of random lectures.
I have taken several classes with Susan. I had her for 100, then 110, 212 and lately 309, and I have never had a more helpful prof. Promptly responds to e-mails, gives detailed, typed comments on essays, reads drafts and is very understanding when real life interferes with school. Lectures are heavy but interesting, and has group work that's fun
Great!
This was a very boring class for me, although she was a great teacher and was very clear on what she was trying to teach. One thing is that she is very slow at marking essays which sucks. But overall she is a pretty good proff
Dr. Bauman is generally a decent professor with the expection that she seems quite flustered and unorganized. Her classes are not well structured and she does keep group discussions flowing nicely.
This teacher is useless!!!She is not helpful at all!She does not post any marks online and going into the final i still do not have my marks...she takes only the full year to mark anything and get it back. (sarcasm)
Susan is a good, though sometimes hard to understand, prof. She is very helpful when it comes to writing papers, and gives clear, detailed comments. She appears kind of muddled when speaking, but is still very passionate about it. Tests are difficult to study for, as they are in-class essays, but she is very fair in marking them.
I'd never take another class from her. Of the 3 classes per week, she'd spend 1.5 doing group discussion in which we had to teach the class. Talks too fast to understand. Says her essay topics are intentionally vague and open-ended but then marks you down (with comments stating that this is what she's done) when you don't discuss what she wanted.
Takes at least 4 wks to hand anything back. Talks too fast. Too much group discussion. Too little teaching & never actually linked the class topic to any of her lectures. Disorganized & scatterbrained. Says her topics are open-ended but marks you down if you don't discuss what she had wanted to be discussed & then tells you she did this. Avoid.
Very disorganized and often off-focus in class. Too much time was spent on small group discussion, which unfortunately allowed students with limited literary knowledge to wax poetic. This professor needs to take control of the class time and focus on teaching.
Perhaps the worst thing about her is that she takes FOREVER to get stuff back to you. I didn't get anything back I turned in until two weeks before the semester was over. However, she does mark on the easy side. Another negative about her is that she talks incredibly fast and has a very high pitched voice. Her lectures are very scattered.
Susan is a very nice lady but has NO idea how to keep a class interesting. She will talk on and on and sometimes lose focus. If i wouldn't have had my friend in my class i would have fallen asleep every class. Pretty easy class but takes for freaking ever to get stuff back to you. Nice and helpful lady but cannot keep a class interesting
If you are wanting anything handed back to you in a timely fashion RUN THE OTHER WAY and DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I've been waiting since early Feb (it's currently April 6) to get an essay and an assignment back and with one class left in the semester it is looking like i'm never going to get it back considering she is still not done marking them!!!
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. There is only one class left and I don't even know what my grade is going into the final seeing as I have gotten 1 assignment back from her when i've handed in 2 essays and 1 assignment.
horible horible prof. high pitch voice first thing in the morning is not a good way to start off your day. also, she cant hand back anything in a timely fashion. its been 8 weeks and im still waiting for the marks on my 2 essays and midterms even though the last class was yesterday. she's a scatterbrain and even lost some ppl's assignments thisterm
She means well, and really loves the subject, but rambles. The comments she gives on essays are extremely helpful, it's too bad she doesn't hand them back until nearly the end of term. Reading load is extremely heavy. If you want to improve your writing skills, take the course. She'll mark your essay earlier and email the comments if you talk to he
She has a great knowledge of the subject that she teaches. She is a very nice teacher and gives you a page long of advice when writing your essays. The only thing I did not like about her is she took forever handing back our essays and midterms. She is a very nice teacher and has interesting books/stories that she teaches.
I have taken two classes from Dr. Bauman. In both, I found that she is very knowleadgable about the course content, although the content itself is somewhat dry. She is scattered at times, but very helpful. Lots of in-class discussion, which was good when everyone had done the readings-otherwise it is useless. All in all, a decent prof.
Lectures are boring, but her comments on essays are useful. She marks fairly easy. Her marking style keeps your writing skills sharp, especially if you actually take her comments as serious constructive criticism.
i enjoy her. she's nice and knows a bunch.
What can I say? I enjoyed her class. Very good book and story selections, plus the weekly discussion groups were a lot of fun. The only problem I have with her is her marking...I thought I followed her essay question accurately, and she told me I hadn't. Oh well, still an enjoyable class. I'd take her again.
She is really nice and tries hard but she is quite frustrating. She takes a month to hand anything back, she shows up late to class, and is horrible to listen to.
Honestly, I could not stand the class. I had poor attendance because her lectures were extremely boring. Her slideshows were ridiculous, very disorganized & every slide is basically the same info, puts them on the internet. She is nice, but so boring. Do not need txtbooks. Will never take another class with her again!!!
There was way too many books assigned to read, we talked about a different book or short story every 2nd day. Her slideshows were basically the same thing over and over. Though I have to give her credit she is reallyy nice and enthusiastic..and tries to ask the class questions but no one answers.
If she didn't circulate an attendance sheet, I would not have bothered going to this class. She seemed on the brink of a nervous breakdown every class, took forever to hand things back, resulting in repeated "errors" on subsequent assignments, and was dismissive of opinions contrary to her own.
We are TWO WEEKS behind the syllabus because we spend half our class time doing group discussion and she spends half of the classes when we go over the discussions qualifying any statement that she disagrees with. If you take a class from her, bring your laptop. You'll need the entertainment.
Seemed to mark easy, hard to pay attention to
Seemed to mark easy, hard to pay attention to
Boring as all hell. So friendly, average marker.
Takes forever to hand back assignments and has a terribly abnoxious voice... lectures were useless....
Dr Baumann is a very sweet, highly intelligent lady. She is very helpful in all of her comments and advice and I feel that her marking is fair. However, her lectures are quite monotonous and dry, and I admit that I've often been jolted awake by her piercing voice. The amount of reading assigned was also ridiculous. Very approachable, however.
It's unfortunate to see the number of negative comments about her. Yes, her lectures tended to be on the dry side, I would've preferred questions directed at individuals or more homework to keep it interesting and people listening. Overall not a bad class. The reading material she chose was excellent.
She's very friendly and obviously knowledgeable about her subject, though lectures are dry and essentially consist of her reading from her powerpoints. Group discussions are interesting, and the reading material is excellent. Lots of reading assigned, but that wasn't a problem for me.
I am not a poetry fan but she is so interested in it that it made me think so too. She is on the dry side sometimes but she tries. She is a fair marker though she takes a long time to give your assignments back. She was very nice and helpful. Overall a great professor and I would definitely take her class again.
She is very passionate about her work! She tries to keep the class entertained, although her slides can be a bit dry. She gives group work which is fun and productive! Going over the group work takes longer than necessary but if you don't care about attendance you know to just skip those days or bring a laptop. She marks fair and is fairly helpful.
Susan was bearable only when you supported the exact same idea as her. However, if you varied slightly on this view or wanted to bring up a point she didn't like she would reject the idea even if it was well argued/supported. Susan took forever to give back assignments and sometimes gave exams on material we hadn't finished covering.
Good Class. She is okay but just goes over the meaning behind poetry and stories. Takes forever to get your assignments back.
Annoying voice, useless lectures. Handed back my essay while i was writing the midterm (no chance to learn from my mistakes), i doubt ill even get that midterm back before semester ends. Will email you back at the very last minute. I can honestly say i haven't improved or learned much from her class and will never take her again.
Best grades I have ever received in university were the courses I took with Susan. When you get to know her and her teaching style she is a wonderful prof. Susan is very helpful when you need assistance and is always willing to explain things further to you. She goes over material well. I enjoyed her classes!
Susan is a very easy grader, which is nice. But she takes forever to hand back essays, assignments, and midterms. At times I felt like I was struggling to know what my grade was. I also felt like I was paying $600 for a class that I didn't learn anything in.
Susan is awful at handing back assignments, and she actually lost my midterm. She is very rushed and it never feels like she could get through what she wanted. Most of the time was spent in group discussion and then talking about the group discussion so class on the first two days of the week were boring. I would not take a class from her again.
She tries to pick interesting pieces. MidtermsExams are pretty straight forward. She does take an extremely long time to hand back assignments. Her voice is also slightly irritating. Learned a lot about grammar (minus the first few weeks) that I was never taught before. Overall one of the better English profs.
Dr. Susan Bauman is not a prof I would recommend taking any class from. In her work corrections you can find spelling errors. She has no concept of time and frequently goes over her time slot, rambles about irrelevant nonsense, and moves the slides too quickly for you to write down the terms she is trying to define. Her penmanship is horrendous.
Professor Bauman's class was a very mixed bag. On one hand, she was very approachable and marked fairly. However, she was very disorganized and took forever to hand back assignments. She lost one of my essays and some students hadn't even gotten their midterms back by the final exam! There are worse profs, but she was shamefully disorganized.
Nice professor and willing to help. However, she is a very slow marker so expect a long time before getting marks back.
Although Susan may be a boring prof, you can easily tell that she is very compassionate about her her job and her topics especially in poetry. Very easy marker, everything is clear on the syllabus on what to do. Annoying voice though.
Susan seems like a very nice lady outside of class, her lectures for 251 were not helpful (she started discussing analysis essays on the day they were due). She would get off topic very quickly and most of the stuff she was talking about was common sense. To be fair her main focus is Victorian Lit and such so maybe a class like that would be better
If you are looking for a class that will make you a better essayist, this is it. Her class is not easy, but she knows how to write, and she does attempt to help anyone and everyone in anyway she can. She gives incredibly detailed feedback on your essays, and allows for two rewrites to better your writing. Not for the unsure or meek writer.
Horrible at getting assignments back to students. Can barely read her writing if you even get your assignments back. Shrill voice. If attendance wasn't mandatory, I wouldn't have even bothered showing up. As for the final, good luck. You'll need it.
I took her for my Shakespeare Tragedies class and she was very passionate about him. She was clear about what she wanted from us in class and in the essays. There were pop quizzes about the plays that we had to read, but they aren't that hard, if you do the reading. Also, if you have a valid reason for missing class (injury) she understands.
Susan gives great feedback... when you get it (I'm still waiting on my grade from an assignment I handed in in January... it's almost April). Her lectures are incredibly boring, so it was hard for me to focus. She seems extremely disorganized; we spent 3/4 of the semester discussing half of the plays so now we're rushing the last 3.
One of the most disorganized profs I've ever had. Her slides jump around and are extremely hard to follow. She takes months to correct assignments.
She was the worst prof I've ever had. Didn't receive 2 of my essays back and she won't reply to my email in which I asked for my marks. Lectures are boring and I think it's disrespectful to not have assignments marked. We wrote 2 midterms are for the second one I only had 1 prior essay to look back on. TERRIBLE
How is this professor allowed to teach? She never hands anything back on time, does not reply to emails, is disorganized, and always late. I learned nothing, and I took this class expecting to improve my writing. Her feedback is useless. This class was such a waste of money and time. Thank you for lowering university standards.
Susan gives amazing feedback, usually a page or longer on essays and midterms. She is always available for extra help on grammar assignments and essays; will basically mark the assignments in front of you and tell you how you can make it a stronger essay. She does take a long time to hand things back, but she spends all her time marking or she claims
Susan is a good teacher and very helpful Textbook is not really needed as i took out most of the prints for poems and stories. Attend her class as grammar becomes easy and you have 2 tests based on that. Essay total 3 to submit but you can take help from her before final submission. Liked her.
I really like this professor. She is very helpful outside of class hours, and she is also a very understanding professor. Susan is one of the few professors that actually cares for students. So if you have the option to take a class with her, I would highly recommend this instructor!!
I took English 100 with Susan, and despite what many may say of her she is a wonderful prof. I will admit she isn't the quickest at responding to emails, however she is very approachable in the classroom and was always willing to answer any of my questions. Her grammar assignments are easy marks, and so are the quizzes. I highly recommend this prof
Go to class as she takes attendance. Rambles on in class and just summarizes the stories for you. Easy marks as you don't really need to listen to pass. very dry boring class but worth it if you just need the mark
Ms. Bauman is a very dedicated and passionate prof when it comes to teaching English. She is extremely knowledgeable in her area of expertise which is gothic literature in this case. She talks a lot about small details that can't found in the summaries and also goes over a ton of writing tips including grammar. She is a solid prof overall.
Took attendance each lecture which was apart of final grade. Went off topic regarding books we didn't need to read. Didn't follow her own course outline and fell very behind very early into the semester. If you hand in anything don't expect it to get it back in a decent time, she takes forever to mark anything. Doesn't upload marks online.
Susan is a very caring prof. She is available a lot out of class time and hates to fail students. Her lectures are somewhat dry but you can tell she is very passionate about english. Her novel choice was interesting and short which is much appreciated. She has lots of small assignments but they help you in the long run.
You'll do fine as long as you read ahead so you know the material well then ask questions in class. Make sure to do your papers ahead of time and have a meeting to get a good mark. You need to show up, 10% of your grade is attendance/participation. If you miss a class or two just make sure to participate during lectures.
One of the worst professors I have ever had. She always showed up 5-10 minutes late to every class. She also got off topic frequently and this meant we were always behind. This limited the amount of works we could write on. She is a very kind person and accessible out of class but take it with any other professor.
she doesn't get assignments back to you till months after she receives them, we didn't even get papers back before the next one was due so had no idea how she felt about our writing styles. her lectures are pointless to go to but attendance is mandatory, she takes a long time to reply to emails. She is super nice and respectful though.
Susan is a wonderful and very nice person and knows a lot about what she teaches, however her slides are so overloaded with info so the classes felt boring. She also takes an extremely long time to grade assignments and from what I know and have heard from others, does not answer emails at all or answers them very late.
A very bad professor i ever seen in my life. I am taking English 100 with her, After I done with my Test , She said she will not check, bcz her turnit shows an silly/idiot mistakes. She don't check any Message, not recommended to take any class with her. This professor has to be removed from the University, because she don't care abt students.
She is very bad professor i ever seen in my entire life...
I emailed her with a late assignment and she accepted the assignment but never emailed me back. I also feel like I taught myself almost all of the material.
She never answers your emails, this is my only class that I dont have a grade for yet and our final was on the 15th, it is currently the 28th. Her lectures are so hard to stay focused in. I would 100% not recommend taking her class if you have trouble staying focused.
The class was okay overall but due dates were a problem.
Very nice and caring lady, goes out of her way to look through papers before due date. but a very tough grader. I have only received one grade on a paper I did at the beginning of the semester, and haven't received any since. I would have liked to have graded papers to know what i'm doing wrong, and correct myself especially before my exam......
Dr. Bauman is very nice & knows her stuff. I enjoyed the content, but unfortunately, she doesn't respond to emails and is extremely slow to grade papers. I can understand grading essays takes time, but it's difficult to improve writing without feedback. These same complaints date back to 2005, so it's clear that student feedback isn't considered.
Don't take a course with this professor unless you have absolutely no other choice. I didn't receive a single assignment back before the final exam. I sent emails asking for feedback but was ignored. How can they justify charging full price for a course where you teach yourself? Her ratings have been saying this for well over a decade. Inexcusable.
if things weren't from her perspective or exactly her opinion, it was hard to feel respected. no amount of effort in class discussions will save you. slow in just about every aspect, from grading to emails and more.
Professor Bauman is very nice teacher. She explains everything well. Not a tough grader, but her course material is difficult. Even though, she gives good grades.
Professor Bauman is very caring. And her course materials are very interesting, but this class drove me crazy! I had many issues with Bauman, but my biggest was that she has NO grading rubric! You don't know where you lose marks, and the feedback she does give is unclear and disorganized. And if you ask about it, she gets very defensive.
did not receive grades back for three of my essays until after the final exam. even after asking for feedback on my first essay, she claimed she was busy and still working on it, yet did not ever end up posting my feedback. did not respond to my emails, had to email her multiple times just to get a response. course content was okay, lots to cover.
I was honestly scared for English 100, but Susan made it not so bad. I see lots of reviews on here saying she’s a tough grader but in all honestly she wasn’t. Everything that I got wrong made sense that I got it wrong. I was happy with the mark I ended with.
Dr. Bauman knows her stuff. That's the best I can say about her. Slow grader is right, however, she did respond to my email timely. Lots of grammer assignments, 3 essays, midterm, and final exam which is a 3 hour exam. Argumentation appears to be her toughest grading criteria from my experience.
Overall her class is good enough but takes a lot of time to check assignments.
She hardly ever responds to class emails and questions. She doesn't give clear instructions on how to do assignments. My biggest problem is why isn't she responding to students emails and questions. You're there to help us. I would not recommend her to anyone ever
She is good
Doesn't respond to emails. Took the months to mark assignments.
She is a great prof, she takes a long time to mark but in her defence she leaves a ton of critiques and feedback to try and help you. I would rather have this then get marks back with no feedback. she is so sweet/kind and takes time to help her students and go in depth for her lectures. the books were very interesting and she made the class fun!!!!
Her class is very engaging and her criteria is clear, assignments are spaced out within the semester so you never feel overwhelmed, she provides critique on essays before and after you hand them in which is very useful. Her lectures go over readings as well as technical writing principles which help a great deal on the essays. She is very caring.
RUN! Her high pitched squeaky voice is not a good way to start the morning. She talks and talks and talk about absolutely nothing. She uses timers to stay on track but does not stay on track. I was so lost in all of the lectures. She comes in either late or right at the time she needs to be there and then goes over time every class.
Dreaded coming to every lecture, she was chronically late, disorganized, and talked about nothing for so long that a good portion of the content had to be cut from the syllabus. No feedback was provided because every paper but one was marked after the day of the final.
RUN! She reads paragraphs of her slides and talks about absolutely nothing.I was so lost in all of the lectures. She comes in either late or right at the time she needs to be there and then goes over time every class. She is not a clear marker and I even went as far as seeing her for assignment help yet she still graded HER answers wrong. Awful
1) she assigned 5 mandatory readings 3 of which (turn of the screw, castle, and Jekyll and Hyde) were covered in the final 2 weeks of class 2) alarms, she has 4 alarms set in a 50 minute class and still loses track of time 3) she teaches off of slides that are formated like paragraphs 4) pet peeve, she taught sitting down
Prof, was nice & understanding. She spoke really fast & high then slow, she also kinda smelled. She'd arrive late sometimes. U were provided a lot of topics/prompts for exams & assign. Attendance not mandetory, but I suggest u attend. I'd take a class with her again.
First of all the main problem about her is that she does not provide clear instructions also the instructors alloted to her are the same and you would require to ask again and again and would still not get clear about it and eventually lose your grades this happened with me and I got only 20% in my first grammar assignment. Textbook is not needed
The best professor you could ever ask for . I would love to take another class . Best of all the professor during my diploma course . Thank you very much for being the part of my English 110.
The worst English teacher I've ever had. If your writing isn't formulaic and trite, and you don't adopt the opinions she spoon feeds you through the most painful lectures I have ever sat through, you're going to be punished. Her feedback is useless, but you won't receive it's until too late anyways. She should be teaching Elementary school.
Professor can be disorganized, but the class is manageable with engagement. unstuck study was a huge help for prep and practice questions.
RUN!!! I did not listen to someone who told me to run from this professor and I did not listen, which I very much so regret. She has the most painful lectures to sit through where she jumps all over the place and spends most of the time going over poetry rather than things that could actually help. She then makes the final close to impossible.
Never on time. Almost aways showed up either exactly when class started or late, then would spend 5-10 minutes setting up. Kind person though, is very understanding. I missed a submission date by accident and she let me submit an assignment over a day late with 0 penalty. Overall though would not recommend, does not respect students time.
Most unorganized prof ever. Comes late everyday and expects students to stay late so she can finish reading her slides. Gets distracted and talks about nonsense for whole class. Didn't mark anything until after the final. Gave better marks if your interpretation matches her opinions. Final was wayyy to long. Do not take a class with her.
She only sit there and read all the ppt, those slides were full of information. The class was not good at all. Still the professor has a cheerful personality. But for class subject she is not good.
Best professor for engl100
I am halfway through the course, and believe she is a really good teacher. She does her work with passion, and love. Her grading is alright too( i believe i am bad at it) . I do not regret taking her class, and hope for this until the course ends. Oh, also, beware of spoilers for the stories(read it before she starts it in the class). :|
She literally just reads off her slides. However, she does give lots of opportunity to earn marks.
