I basically hated math but once I had this teacher...WOW! She helped me understand this awful subject and was unbelievably clear when she gave lectures! She gives amazing examples and is willing to help you as long as your willing to put forth and effort! Definately take her if you hate math!

I hated math with a passion and cringed at the thought of having to take it in college; but this teacher changed all that. I actually like math now because of her...she makes everything seem so simple, that you have no choice but to like it. I wish all my past and future professors are like her.

She is a great teacher,so there is no way that anyone can't pass her class.She explains everything clear and the test are not that long only like 20 simple questions.

She actually made me love math class and I actually looked forward to the tests! I passed with an A. I love the fact that she is very clear and finds methods to help you remember a lot easier.

DON'T misjudge her on ur 1st day.I had almost dropped out then later realized how foolish I was thinking.This teacher is sooo passionate for teaching math, everytime I see her in math lab helping students instead of slacking off.Very Easy Class,Awesome teaching skills,lots of notes to take,and doesn't lets u leave early.But trust me only take her.

Finals are over and she's still in math lab helping students out.U gotta love her for her passion for teaching. All other teachers ran home but she's still here helping everyone. Susan is absolutely WONDERFUL!She will take amount of time needed to help each student and make sure they GET IT.She has patience and short cuts the will make you a success.Very enjoyable for a math class and the hour flies by.If math is difficult for you, Susan is the teacher you need!!!

Susan beane is a gifted genius when it comes to math and she got the degrees to prove it. I had her for 0300 in 2005 and she left to goto UH central. Im glad to see that she has returned to UHD. If you don't think she is "good" then look on the class schedule all her math course sell and are full.TAKE HER!!!

If you fail a test, she reviews, and allows you to retest and keep the highest score. There is none like her. No one should fail her class.

Great Teacher! Although she's scatterbrained and talks way too much, she really knows her Math and won't rest until you do too. She always has some type of opportunity for extra credit so there's no reason why anyone should fail.

I hate math and I am terrible at it but the way she teaches is sinking in and I am so grateful to have found her as a math teacher. She requires a lot of work, but guess what; it is why I am learning this time. Okay, she is a little kooky but I like that about her; that she does not look like the typical math teacher with a pocket protector.

Great teacher. She is perfect for the student that dosent quite "get it" in math. She has a way of explaining and teaching that just makes math crystal clear. AND I HATE MATH!! I will be taking her again for Math 1301. We'll see how THAT goes!

you will come out her class looking at yourself in a different way. She requires a lot of textbook homework but that just make you better. She has no problem explaining in an elementary way and not just assuming that you should already know..duh this is a remedial class..I will be taking her for 1300&1301..Ms. Beane you rock.

Great teacher!!! give tons of homework! but if you do it all you going to pass the test cause someone the homework is on the test. If you take her for summer you are not going to have a life.

She is an amazing prof! Requires both book and online homework but I guarantee that if you do it all you'll pass the class with flying colors! Really dedicated to her students and gives great notes and examples. Really wanted to take her again for 1301 but she isn't teaching summer 2.

I LOVE MS. BEANE!! She is super energetic. She has a great way of showing the concepts. I am horrible at math, but this is the first time I have every really understood it. She cracks me up. She is always saying something funny. She does assign a lot of homework, but hey its math. It is a good way to learn. I am praying I passed.

If you do not understand math like me, TAKE MS. BEANE. She has a great way to teach concepts in an elementary way you can understand. She is always in the math lab. She is always giving extra credit to help. Just study hard because if you do not pass the final, you fail, but she gives you every tool to learn.

listen up: ms beane is THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR AT UHD! she does make up exams, the math lab is her second home, extremely nice, helpful, funny, LOVES math. i failed 1301 with another professor. i took all my remedial courses with her and college level and passed with B. she is AWESOME!gives extra bonus pts on tests and final if u go to finalreview

Ms. Bean is a great teacher. she explains math VERY well. You do need the book. There is a ALOT of homework. both online and book that is due day of test but if you make other arrangements with her she is cool about it. SHE IS AWESOME

Ms. Beane is the best math teacher at UHD. She explains problems without skipping steps. She shows you little short cuts and funny ways to remember formulas. I have only passed Math 0300 and 1300 because of her good teaching. I will take her again for 1301 in the Fall

This teacher is the best math professor in this school! She explains everything very well... But she gives lots of homework TOO time consuming... You'll need a txt book for all that writen hw. I liked her

It basically boils down to this, you're in remedial math b/c you suck at it dearly as I do. She is the only 1 that has made math make sense to me. So do yourself a favor and take her to learn what's necessary to pass college algebra! She has a good teaching style, so if you stop skipping class & take it seriously, you'll do fine. Trust me!

I took Mrs. Beane during the summer for college algebra and passed the class with a B. She's a great professor and is very clear at explaining everything to you. She didn't even finish high school and has a master's in MATHEMATICS!!! Overall she is very cool, very informative and the best math teacher I've ever had!

I hardly attended class and just did all the homework online that I had to do. You don't even need the book if you take Beane. She has a god-awful lisp and doesn't know how to pronounce the word parabola but she is extraordinarily clear and competent and makes sure she's thorough by always keeping us past the end of classtime.

I really enjoyed her lisp, it made her more sweet and nicer and it does not bother anyone. She is one of those professors who knows how to TEACH students, Not just come in do crap on board and leave, she will stay extra hours to help, always in math lab helping anyone she can. U cannot fail math because she will work with u. In all she's a DOLL.

EXCEPTIONAL! very clear teaching. she has her own methods but they are efficient. she is organized and on top of her game. TAKE THIS CLASS!! you have to work but she is there for you every step of the way. Go to clas, pay attention, take good notes and you will have NO problem. Best teacher i have had in a long time. i failed math 1300, took 1300 over the summer with her and i passed with an A. she is CRYSTAL clear in every thing. If you need help, she'll break it down step by step and make it to where you'll understand everything. i didn't need the book in the summer really but it's recommended if you wanna practice. BEST TEACHER EVER!

Sweet lady she really makes sure the class is following along and understands. She goes over everything very detailed so you see what you might've done wrong and isn't bothered by questions! if you attend class everyday you'll pass! Easy tests and homework!

Great teacher, we do get a lot of notes but they are helpful, study all the test given through out the semester which is about 3 or 4 and you will pass the final For sure

I take all of my classes online and that being so, it is sometimes difficult to communicate with the professors. That was not the case with Ms. Beane. She made her self completely available, at YOUR convenience and you can tell that she genuinely cares about your success. I highly recommend Ms. Beane for any of your math classes.

She is really patient and explains well. She is there when you need her for help. There is no physical textbook but you must purchase the online version of it.

She is the nicest math professor ever! The only thing that you will find weird about her is when she explains graphs, she has this dance. Its weird but its funny. She brings food to class sometimes, and I love her. Her tests are so easy, unless you are super super lazy then you are screwed. She gives you chances to improve your grade, u cant fail.

She is a good professor, you have time to do her homework, it's all on My Math Lab. Sometimes she gets carried away when she gives her lectures! She always smells like cigarretes and she's super silly. But she made me understand math, and you could always text her and she will help! GOOD MATH PROFESSOR!!!!!

Let me start off by saying I absolutely HATE math but I can honestly say I enjoyed this class and learned so much! There is a lot of homework in MML. *WATCH THE CHAPTER VIDEOS* it breaks everything down so you can understand. There is a course project but it's not hard if you payed attention to the personal finance chapter.

Make sure you work great with people because she really cared about being in groups. It was an alright class.

Summer I class - 1 month long. All assignments, quizzes, and hw retakeable. Tests are not. 20+ things to do in few days. Very fast paced. Dont recommend taking with other classes. Textbook and code mandatory. All work done on program with code. you must make time for this class or fail. Learned so much and would take her again. Super easy class tho

People! the only ones who find this class hard are the ones who are lazy. The many people who didn't show up for class and didn't do the homework all failed! She gives tons of extra credit. She answers every question. Without her talking to the dean, we wouldn't be able to use calculators on the test. Its only hard if you lazy. DO THE HOMEWORK!

I HATE math and put it off until my senior year. Thankfully this course was easy and the instructor is so easy to get in contact with if you have trouble. She clearly states in the syllabus that she is there to help. The work itself is easy and learn as you go. There was a course project and that too was not so hard. best math instructor ever!

Professor Beane is amazing! She truly cares for her students! Im horrible at math however I understood this! If you need help or extra time with anything REACH OUT TO HER. I cant give her enough praise! If you struggle in math- please make sure you take Professor Beane!

Show up to class you pass. Do online final exam for 1301 and same thing gonna be on class final. She explain like a elementary teacher. Do her math-lab homework, Quizzes, and Exam you pass the class and same thing gonna be on test. Si session was not helpful. I am weak in math but this teacher teacher you trick to solve problem in easier way.

She is one of the best professors that I ever had. You will have to do the homework every week but it will come with videos to help you do but actually I dont need those videos to do the homework cause the homework was super easy. If you have some questions or didnt understand she is gonna spend her time to help you out. Trust me take this class!

professor Susan is one of the best professors I've ever had in college. I had her this summer online and she was very helpful. She responds in time and actually, you are free to text her through her phone and she responds like in 5 minutes. She helped me a lot. I had some personal issues that could make me be unable to take this class she helped me

Professor Beane is a good math professor. I took her for College Algebra in summer school. She goes the extra mile and works problems on the board -- she works things the long way so that students that have not had math in a while can see exactly the steps required. Not all math teachers will do that. Professor Beane wants her students to learn

Professor Beane is honestly an amazing teacher. I would definitely recommend taking her class. She really takes her time explaining each section to make sure you understand the entire concept. There may be times where theres a big work load, but nothing you cant handle. I highly recommend!

I took this online, there is quite a bit of hw through my math labs, but chapter tests were only 25 questions.

Professor Beane is an an amazing professor. I took her online contemporary math class and I have never passed an algebra class but this class made connecting real life scenarios and math so much clearer. She makes it easy to know what to read and prepares you for the quizzes and tests. There were 3 major tests and 1 final with weekly homeworks.

She is a great teacher because she explains everything thoroughly and this class all we need it was zoom and Pearson and if you have questions do not be afraid to ask because she does really care

This class is an easy A! All you have to do is the assignments and your good. Class is just her talking about the textbook and going over powerpoints. But if you know algebra already this class is a breeze

This professor was amazing. I have always struggled with math but she provides so many resources and makes her own step by step videos.

Shes a great caring proffesor. Long but informational lectures. The hardest thing was keeping up with the homework, but if you communicate with her, she will at times extend deadlines. Tests easier than homework.

Professor Beane is a great Professor to have for a math course! She has really great lectures and helpful resources to understand the material at hand. She is available outside of class to help you with homework questions, and gives great reviews sessions before each test! I do definitely recommend to have her as a math professor for this course!

I was terrified to take a math class and she completely changed my mind about the subject. You really get out of her class what you put into it. You will be lost if you don't work on your mathlab homework but if you do, you can get a good grade and understand the concepts. The mathlab can be intimidating at first but you get used to it. good luck!

She was a great professor. One of the only classes I enjoyed going to because her lecture was so interesting and she made us all laugh. One thing I will say though is the workload is a lot and it gave me anxiety to even open her class on canvas. However that was my problem, she is very forgiving even if you turn in work late. Definitely will pass.

This professor went above and beyond to help me pass. Assignments are available usually a week before due date. However, she gives second chances if you miss an assignment before midterm and final. She gives lots of bonus assignments.

Everything's online on Pearson. lowkey a lot of work but its very easy. Shes understanding and will work w u. Shes funny but her lectures are long AF

She has great communication skills but expect a lot of course work that's due weekly. Also when taking finals we were expect to use a proctor so expect to pay a small fee. You do have the option to go to the university to take the course.

took her asynchronously, everything is on pearson. each chapter has a lengthy, slow-paced lecture video if needed, but a skim over the textbook should do. lesson workload: 1 homework, 1 short written assignment, 1 quiz (usually covering 2 lessons). 1 test per chapter, midterm, final, and 1 signature assignment. no proctor/lockdown except for final.

Professor Beane was great!!! Her class was wonderful and I learned a lot. I am usually not very good in math but I surprised myself by getting a C in the class. She made the class interesting and gave good feedback when she graded the homework.
