good professor, but sometimes will act like your mother.
Very nice lady, she is very helpful and makes the class very interesting.
Very good professor. Very helpful and knowledgable. Lots of work, easy grader.
she is very helpful and DAMN sexy!! good combination for professor.
THE BEST! Assignments are fun and easy!
Her enthusiasm for Spanish will make you really appreciate the language + Pace.
She is the best!
Fair - I guess
Decent teacher, rude person, and lose the short skirts.
Super hyper, but she gets you involved in the class. She is always helps you.
the nicest professor, really helpful, enthusiastic, well prepared, tests not hard
She is DEFINITELY THE BEST. If you want to learn take her. Very easy & outgoing
extremely helpful person
Speaks clearly, very nice, straight and to the point! - A+
She is the best!! I had her for both and I will STRONGLY RECOMMEND. No regrets!!
very cool
Great lady, always helping everyone! Take her and she is not that difficult.
You will learn, she keeps you on your toes with assignments. high regards
very energetic, nice and easy to talk to, lots of work, helps you learn spanish
IS SHE ON SPEED? SHES NICE, THO
she was great, be prepared to speak a lot of spanish, tests are easy
very fast pace, ok BUT not a native speaker-an accent in spanish..

SHES GREAT! TESTS R SO EASY. MUST TAKE HER
For native speaker, watch out for her, do'nt take her class lightly
Recommend HER VERY HELPFUL AND VERY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT SPANISH
bearable workload, very enthusiastic, good prof
lots of work but its easy. come to class cuz she will lower your grade if u dont
Great prof. Easy and clear.
deserved an A but got a B, aside from that shes good just go to class
She knows her stuff. She'll make you work for your grade, but it's worth it.
Great prof, very enthusiastic, learned a lot, would take again!

great professor, very helpful, a lot of homework
Believes that her class is the only class u take by the amount of work she gives. The actual work is easy, but don't ever miss one assignment or she will completely **** up ur grade. She will love u if ur spanish-born, if u arent, ...
Lots of work but thats expected in college. Her tests are all fair and she teaches with lots of energy.
She's fantastic...just take the class and see for yourself. Good way to learn spanish!!
Be prepared to work. She gives lots of hw. Overall she is a good teacher but don't think that you can slack off.
alot of work for spanish class. NOT NICE!! she's too strict, and I didn't get the grade I deserved.
She gives a bunch of work but its an intermediate spanish class so it helps to do it. Teaches with enthusiasm and conducts most of the class in Spanish. Its ok if you don't speak it or have trouble with it because she helps. To sum it up shes a great prof
Teaches the class in spanish, and does help out if you have problems. The massive amount of work she gives is very beneficial and the class exercises emphasize what you learn and helps in remembering the work taught. I think her teaching style is superb!!
Dont do it to yourself.
Lots of hws, quizes, essays..but the actually work is made simple if you keep up. Don't fall behind on the work! She is very helpful if you ask. She is very cheerful, friendly, great teaching style, makes sure students understand, encourages questions.
Very nice woman, willing to help. If you do all the work and study, you'll get an A. it's not easy tho. Her grading is set up so that theres lots of chances to improve in all areas.
very nice lady and you learn lots of spanish. the only thing that bothers me is that she does everything too quickly and is always out of breath.
She made everything as clear and simple as possible. A wonderful language teadcher!
she has been the best professor i have ever taken at this school. she is very fair in her teaching methods and gives everyone a chance. as long as you try she will give you a good grade. definetly a professor to take. she is great
She is a very good teacher!! lots of hw every class, shes goes way too fast, and she gives alot of quizzes!! and she does not curve or grade easily !!! YOu have to work your ass OFF To Get an A
The hyperactive canary of Languages. You have to pay attention in this class, and don't expect to sit back and relax. You have to really work at it to even consider getting an A. Not to mention all the HW assigned. She is a very nice woman, but expect to earn your A.
From this class you'll be able to have a VERY intelligent conversation in regards to ANYTHING having to do with Latin America. 3 short papers, 2 cultural activities, 2 exams, 1 presentation, 1 term paper. LOTS of work. She is very knowledgeable and will make you cry tearsof joy and laughter.

Quizes are easy, but the exams you do have to study. Classes go by fast.
Although I agree, that her classes are a lot of work and she is nice...I can't stand her thick accent and I'm sorry, but for native spanish speakers is hell to take a class with her b/c of her accent in spanish. It was painful, specially if you are really fluent in spanish.
Her intensity can be overwhelming at times, but at the same to entertaining. I suggest to take her class if it is about grammar, cuz she nails it on the head everytime. You really learn. However, avoid her history or culture classes cuz not only its a lot of work, she's not always clear.
She is a great teacher. She calls on your randomly everyday, but never gets upset if you don't know as long as you try. Assigns homework every night, but it's not graded, she is very clear, offers review, etc. For SPA 280, you should have a basic understanding already or it will be over your head! Buy the books!
Her methods are very clear but she goes to fast. For a person that already knows some spanish sometimes foung it hard to keep up with what she wanted.
Professor is extremely helpfull, she really cares about her students and most definetly goes the extra mile at helping them. There is a lot of work but, you really do learn. Classs is worth taking
I can say with all seriousness that professor Berardini is one of the best at Pace, despite just a whiff of prepotency on her part. Yes, her accent can be distracting at times, but really it just gives character to the course, which is incredibly well-structured, thoughtfully planned, and well-delivered. She is definitely worth taking.
Class is very demanding. Told me she didn't like my Columbian accent and yet had an incredibly thick accent of her own...Got an A but had to work for it
Her class moves at a quick pace and so does she but she will take the time to explain something if you don't get it. She's a nice teacher.
We had to buy a lot of books, but she did cover all of them. She had a final exam and research paper (most prof's choose one or the other), so it was a lot. The other instructors are less demanding, so I would take someone else in the future. But she was definitely fair and helpful, so it was not a bad experience.
Class moves at a quick pace. A lot of work, but she is very helpful. Participation is a must... lots of quizzes... Do not take her if you aren't willing to do the work.. I got a B in this class and did average work throughout the course
I can say I learned a lot from Berardini. Although she sometimes takes her rules and class too seriously (she counts participation even when you're not there no excuses, etc.), she is always there to help and always available via e-mail. My class was very small so we had a good time. Take her, you'll learn a lot. Just study for the tests.
Shes an excellent teacher super nice especially out of class but shes very tough!! and gives A LOT of work. If you do your work and study hard for your quizzes you'll do fine. Make sure you are always in class. I received a B in her class but you definitely have to work for it. In all you will definitely learn a lot!
She is a sweet person and a tough teacher. She does use the books she requires from you and I felt like I learned a lot from her class. But participation is definitely a must. She's helpful and yes, the class moves at a fast pace, so be careful of that. Other than the pace of the class, she's a great professor.
I have had this professor so far for two semesters and she's honestly a great professor. She's very clear in what she wants for her class, attendance is a MUST. You will need ALL the textbooks that she assigns. She's definitely a hard teacher. Do your work and you'll be fine. One of those teachers that you learn a lot but a lot of work is put into
She is a tough teacher, but really great at what she does and is passionate about spanish. She provides you with more than enough help to do well. Classes include verbal exercises, workbook activities, and textbook activities. There is a required outside cultural activity, group Conversation Presentation, and group cultural presentation.
I've taken this professor twice and I've enjoyed it. For 280, the workload was a lot but she helps you a lot and encourages class participation. She is very sweet, I highly recommend her if you want to improve your Spanish skills. Do the hw, she doesn't check it but it helps and also study for the tests!
I really enjoyed Dr. Berardini's class. She is very intelligent, helpful and understanding. She is very energetic! Explains very well, exams are fair. I definitely recommend her!
Had business Spanish and received a B, the grading system was so complicated (maybe purposely) no one understood it. Easy assignments were ridiculously harshly graded forgetting an accent ost you your final grade, which is absurd. Students who couldn’t say a word of Spanish got As while native speakers would get Ds. I would NOT recommend professor
Good professor. Has students in class discussions based on materials discussed in current of previous class. Helps us prepare for following class telling us what to review and look into for next class and on quizzes that usually happen every 2 weeks or so despite a somewhat unsure syllabus. Assigns cultural activity that acts as learning experience
Berardini is a fair professor. She's not easy but she's not hard. The way she grades is extremely fair. She gives 5 quizzes over the course of the semester, each is 10% of your grade so if you mess up on 1 or 2 quizzes you can easily redeem your grade. She lets you know exactly which page numbers you should study for each quiz and the final.
She is an excellent teacher. She is very strict, but you will absolutely learn. she goes fast, very fast, so you need to keep up with the work. you have to do a lot of essays, but they are short and double spaced always. Would take again. She is very nice and flexible.
Very tough professor. Lots of work and very fast paced classes- never a moment where you're not doing anything. Extremely strict but she is a decent professor. You really have to pay attention and keep up with the assignments, but if you do then you'll learn a lot. Attendance is crucial!!! Don't think I'd take her again, but she was good.
At first, I was afraid to go to class because I was not used to such fast-paced learning. Luckily, I got used to the adjustment and began to really enjoy the class. She is funny and very helpful by thoroughly explaining whatever you may need. She is strict about attendance and phones though. If you miss one class you WILL fall behind.
I had to take this class for a culture course credit. It was the culture of Spain and I do not know anything about Spanish culture. She doesn't teach like this is a culture course for transfer students but a course for students who are Spanish majors/minors. DIdn't really care that I didn't know anything and was kind of annoyed that I didn't know.
Professor Berardini is great. If you are new to Spanish, this course will be a challenge. She moves fast and gets everyone involved in her lectures. If you had Spanish in the past- the course will be a breeze. She is a very interesting women and cares about her students! Be prepared to speak in her class!
I took this after 4 years of slacking off in Spanish in high school and it was a breeze. Quizzes are simple as long as you use the homework as review. When she calls on people she always goes in a specific order so just memorize who comes before you so you can look ahead in the textbook and prepare your answers.
I was not worried about the class at first as I got an A- for SPA101. But, well... Professor Berardini would made it so that if you got things incorrect of if you were confused, she would make sure everyone knew... She even told me how my SPA101 professor should have been fired and etc. she shows that she wants the students to learn fast though...
One of my favorite language professors. After having a horrible SPA101 teacher, I learned so much from her in 102. She's very fast paced but she has no problem slowing down or breaking things down for people who don't understand, you just have to ask. Has high expectations of her students and encourages them all to be met
An amazing professor. She knows how to teach well, actually has proper thoroughly planned out lessons and also has a plan B if things don't work out. Makes class interactive and wants everyone to participate actively. She really tries her best to understand what students find hard and will give more practice on it. Very caring, work hard and get A.
LOVE THIS WOMAN. We read a lot of stories from the textbook and she actually cares that you appreciate the story and author, and less about if u answer questions correctly or not. she's encouraging when it comes to participating; i have become more comfortable w/ it bc i'm usually way too scared to speak in class. she's super nice and welcoming.
Professor Berardini is very good for spanish. She really knows her stuff and is very helpful when explaining things to the class. She is very participation heavy when it comes to class and the only downside is she does not give extra credit.
She's very difficult, went through lessons very fast, taught so much in one day, and expected us to know the work fast to take tests. She always had an attitude and it seemed like she only liked students that are good with Spanish. She doesn't give extra credit or opportunities to bump up your grade. You shouldn't take any of her classes.
