Although her class is somewhat difficult, she really simplifies the material to the things that would actually apply to our future medical professions. Being a doctor, she loves the subject and it really shows. Being a teacher, she tries to help her students understand and actually loves her job!

She really puts efforts to help student. Her lecture is simplified and easily understood. I strongly recommended her! BTW, I got an A from her A&P II class and I currently getting an A in her Chem 2030 class.

The key to doing well in this class is to DO THE QUESTIONS IN THE BACK OF THE BOOK!!! She takes questions from there and puts them on the test. Also if you go to her office hours she will sit with you till you have it figured out. She is an awesome teacher!!!

She tells you what you need to know to get an A. If you know it, you will. If you're having trouble, she'll spend lots of time with you in office hours. The material in the course is really hard, but she just gives the important stuff. She pushes study groups and they're the only thing that saved me.

Awesome prof. Gives you more than one chance to get lecture and in case you miss it, posts in online. So great. So you can really understand information. Goes over everything fast, so it makes you make sure you understand everything.

Does a lot to make sure you understand the content. Posts powerpoints/notes/previous tests, also has quizes online. Very approachable and helpful if you need it. She is an awesome teacher, even though the subject may be difficult at times she is always available if you need help.

Great teacher, makes lectures enjoyable. 2 exams + 1 final (non-cumulative). Very challenging class! Best way to get a grade better than a "C" is to read the chapters prior to lecture, do the vocab, read the lecture notes, do the chapter review questions, and have a study group!! Also, has Chapter quizzes on WebCT weekly to keep YOU on point!!

If you really want to learn, this is the class for you. Possible to get an A+ if you read & view lectures posted online as well as going in for help. She's very helpful and will keep teaching you over and over until you understand.

Material is kinda hard but just study and you will be fine. She will curve. she makes videos of all the lectures so you can watch them at home. You don't need to buy the book. I got an A and i didn't use the book. Everything she teaches you will need and use as nurse every single day.

She is very confusing in the begining, but you learn to understand her. she gives a lot of quizes and there are 3 exams so if you plan to take this class you better have a lot of time on your hands cause she will take lots of your time. This class was not an easy class and it was not an easy A at all.... If you choose her GOOD LUCK

Awesome teacher. Of course the material is hard but if you try to do it you will get it. She posts her lectures online, so if you're like me and you start to loose track during the class, you can just watch it again at home. A lot of people complained and dropped the class, but if you cant handle this, theres no way you'll make it in Nursing.

Watch lectures (fr. previous classes she had taught-will be on webCT) before going to class, read the book, do the homework (not required) but do it! Chapter quizzes given, 3 Exams. Keep reviewing and reading your notes. Attendance not mandatory, but go to class since lectures might not be recorded on accident. =)

Look over the lecture again to get good grades. Lots of Quizzes to help you out. She is a very emotional teacher so don't upset her.Overall she is a good teacher and will help you out if need it.

Great Proff. & highly reccommended! It's a garauntee that you'll gain alot from this class so You have to make time and put forth lots of effort to get a good grade. Lectures are on-line just in case you need to review them again. The material is HARD so STUDYING is essential!! There are power point notes & practice exams which are very helpful

Absolutly Amazing!!!! I loved her, she is an awesome teacher, who wants her students to succeed. As long as you watch her lectures online before you go to class, and practice the examples she puts up on the board, then you'll do well. If you need help ask, she is willing to help pretty much everyone (as long as they attend class).

Great professor. Always willing to help and helps students understand. Doesn't not look down on you if your lost. She wants us to succeed and become better nurses. DEFINITELY AND HIGHLY to take her classes. It's not easy but you need to read and ask questions. Homework is not mandatory but recommended.

At first was intimidated by what everyone said about her. Took her for Chem1000 before this class and hated it but i took her through the online class and i did fine got a C but i still learned a lot. the video lectures were great maybe would had a better grade if had her as a normal lecture. Would recommend this teacher if you really want to learn

I was forced to take Bolman for Chem 1000. I hate Chem and I thought I was going to fail-got an "A." She's an awesome teacher. Always willing to help, and "dumifies" everything. She records her lectures that you can download to your iPod which is awesome. If you listen to her lectures, study lecture notes and attend class it's a breeze.

Chem is hard, but she clarifies everything in a way you can understand. even though usually it's to clarify it to herself. gets confused sometimes, but her lectures are online which is extremely helpful in studying for her tests. keep up with the quizzes and you should do fine.

Bolman pushes you to learn the material even though you don't like it. She challenges you to work hard, which will definitely help in the long run. Just listen in class, read the bulletin board & book, and take the quizzes on time. She's also helpful if you ask. Though, she sometimes confuses herself during lectures. /:

Dr. Bolman will make you love chemistry. She is experienced, she knows the material.She is a great teacher.Chem 2030 is a little hard but Dr. B puts in a way that even a 6 year old would understand. Do the online quizzes, listen to the lecture, read the powerpoint you should be fine. Class attendance is not mandatory although very important.

My second time taking Bolman, & she's a good teacher. She knows her material, & always makes real-word connections which are interesting. Though, you have to work in this course in order to get a good grade. There are only online quizzes & 3 exams (online). Just read the book, read the discussions, and come to class. She's also very helpful.

had her for chem 1000 and chem 2030. for chem 1000, it was a bit difficult because it was my freshman year. chem 2030, it was pretty good. shes pretty helpful. 3 exams and gives some other points to help u along. study hard cause it aint not walk in the park but shes better than the other chem professors from what i understand.

I had Dr. Bolman for both Chem 1000 as well as Chem 2030. By far she is the best professor for chemistry out there. If there were more teachers like her the school would be overflowing.You have to work for your grade but she is always there to help you through it. She is willing to help you understand whatever you are having problems with.Take her!

This class is hard, because she only wants you to be a better student for any health career. the content is heavy but she is there to help you out. answers questions you have. for me it wasnt so bad. if you attend the lectures pay attention you'll do fine.

dr. bohlman is the probably the best chemistry teacher for nurses that you can find, period. she is always available for questions, and understands that nurses dont need to be chemists. she presents need-to-know information in a clear and practical way, and if you put the work in you will do well.

Bolman is amazing. Not only did I take her for chem 1000 but I also made sure to get her for chem 2030. She may not always be crystal clear in her lecutres...but who is?! She is ALWAYS there to help you if you are ready and willing to learn and listen. Study hard, go to her office, and have friends to study with!

Very straightforward about what she wants you to know. Do the homework, even if you don't have to turn it in. It will help a lot when you take the exams. She's very easy to talk to and to approach if you have any questions.

Great teacher! She is very helpful. She even let me adjust and answer that I got partially wrong on a test to get full credit. This class is not easy but she will work with you as much as she can. Dr. Bolman will even arrange office hours to go over any material you are struggling with.

Awesome teacher! Got advice to take her for chem, and haven't regretted it. She's clear and very helpful. Quizzes online were helpful learning resources. Tests are fair. She tests on what she teaches. She focuses on relevant topics too, and tries to cut out "fat". Do yourself a favor and sign up for Bolman. You won't regret it!

professor bolmans chemistry class isnt easy. BUT if you are willing to study, ask questions, take notes, use the book, attend class, do online hw&quiz..i dont see how u CANT pass the class. Bolman is VERY helpful and will help you if you dont understand but you have to ask.:) very patient and super helpfull!. I love her class!!:)!!!!

i'm not one of the best student in her class, but i manage to pass and got an A because she is very helpful. i know chemistry is hard, but she's always there to help you. so it is highly recommended that you take her. she's the best by far.

she's very helpful. She provides you what you need to know. She goes step by step on math problems and only tests you on what you learned. Very to the point. Not much memorization on formulas and numbers (which is awesome). I highly recommend her.

Organic/Biochemistry is a difficult course, so this class isn't easy if chemistry isn't your thing. Dr. Bolman wants to help you pass, and she is extremely helpful. Go to class, and you'll be fine. She's approachable, nice, and most importantly patient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bolman.

Best professor I have ever had, at HPU or elsewhere. Chemistry is extremely difficult but Dr. Bolman puts it in laymans terms that you can understand. More importantly, she doesn't promote rote memorization, but teaches why things are the way they are- and that made a world of difference to me.

Your course seems to prepare me better for the MCAT than the regular o-chem course for premed students. I got 70% right in the o-chem section of my last MCAT practice test. I remember everything about amines, alcohols,etc - it is just amazing! PS: Your "What if " game is the BEST! I love your class.

Dr. Holman is absolutely THE BEST teacher EVER. Don't need textbook, however you MUST PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND TAKE GOOD NOTES. The quizzes are online and you can take them 2x, and she ALWAYS answers questions on blackboard. It also is REALLY helpful who she has her handouts ready for you to print out and she has recorded lectures to listen to :)

Dr. Bolman is the BEST teacher!! She knows ALOT and she makes the class very interesting. I never really used the book, just studied straight from the lecture notes she provides online. She also has recordings of her lectures which helps many people. Her class is also very organized! HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bolman for any class. Passed with an A! :)

I took this course over the summer and it was hard work but Dr. Bolman made it as easy to understand as she possibly could. O Chem is no easy feat, but with the right amount of effort and comprehension you can get that A! She is extrremely intelligent, helpful, prompt, and holds study sessions in the park with her cute doggies if you ask for it!

If you have the option to take her, then TAKE HER. You won't regret it. She explains things with clarity and if you need to reinforce what you learned, study groups FTW. There are also videos online of the same lecture for you to review. Just print out the powerpoint slides and bring them to class and you'll do great.

Dr. Bolman is a great teacher with so much knowledge about this subject, all you have to do is pay attention do the work and take advantage of the office hour if there is any additional questions.

I took her online course and it was quite difficult to grasp. She has online lectures you can watch. Sometimes there are multiple required quizzes weekly that you can take online but the exams are done in person/class. Very organized when it comes to course structure but Unorganized for in-class exam seating (some had to sit on the floor...)

Dr. Bolman is passionate about chemistry and makes sure her students have all the tools necessary for success. Many different mediums are used to help learn the information. She is clear, direct and was available to her students personally and through e-mail.She did not take roll, should go to class. I would recommend this teacher to anyone.

Susan was amazing at teaching. Her stories really stick. I took her a year ago and I am still remembering what she taught us. I use the information all the time in nursing school! I am always like, well professor Bolman says.... I highly recommend her!

Her online class was pretty smooth considering its online. An A is possible if u really study hard. PPTs are straight forward but I recommend also googling the information that'll go into deeper detail. Ochem is a tough subject. Very approachable. Replies to emails and msgs fast. I highly recommend taking her class.

The hardest class I ever taken, but the best teacher I've ever had. Tough exams, but IF you watch her lectures I almost guarantee you can pass her class. She is not like other teachers. She REALLY teaches you. Surprise huh? I would take her again and I highly recommend her. If your looking for actually trying to enhance your education- take her :)

I am currently taking Dr. Bolman for summer and this class is pretty hard, it's a lot of work and you need to study really hard. She is very clear on what is going to be in exams and quizzes, which is really helpful. What I like about this class is after you watch the video for lectures you can take the quizzes right away .

If you're a math lover, this class will be worth the challenge and fun. I honestly, did not open any lecture links only because it made it more confusing for me. I got an A because I've READ THE BOOK. If you put in the effort, you will be rewarded. STUDY IN GROUPS! I got intimidated at first, BUT SHE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER

You actually have to read and understand the concept because these are not easy subjects. Read and put in effort in your studies, you will do just fine!

She is amazing! Chemistry classes are known to be tough. However, Dr. Bolman makes the lessons clear cut, concise and simple. She provides study guides so you wouldn't have to read the entire book. There are 3-4 short online quizzes per week. She will give you 2 tries per quiz. 3 tests total, she gives extra credit in every test. I highly recommend
