I really liked her teaching methods. you wont fall asleep in class, quizes always on internet, test are kind of comprehensive but not too bad. I am taking her again for 120 and so are alot of people in the class. RECOMMENDED!!!!
Tests from notes. Variety of learning methods: slides, movie clips, and in class activities. Overall I enjoyed the class.

She is a very spunky & energetic teacher. I really enjoyed her class. The tests are not easy but if you study you should do good. I really reccomend her... there was not a boring day in her class!
She was nice and helpful.
Good professor. Do all work and you'll be fine. Easy cram sessions before exams- not too difficult. Easy writing assignments= more points. Plus, we had a field trip to Baptist Hospital, a good experience for Psyc majors.
Dr. Buckelew is cool. She can be a little disorganized at times but she really encourages class involvement and she is open-minded. She is actually works with patients so she can bring her real world expericence into the class room.
She is so unorganized that i don't think that she knows where she is most of the time. Tests are from the notes if you can figure them out.
all work is straight from the book which is not hard to read, i would say she is always in a good mood, EASY EASY to get a good grade from book reading and online quizzes
Avoid her if possible. She makes things harder than they really are. I don't know where she got her Psychology degree from. However, she is very enthustastic and does give extre credit.

The woman needs to learn how to type her notes. They make no sense and she jumps around so much, that you have no clue what she is talking about. I am going to try to avoid this weird women if I possibly can.
Take someone different
She is very nice and loves to talk about her patients. Her test are a tad bit sucky but if you study you will be ok. Take her but beware of boredness.
I think she is a very nice person and a good teacher. She knows her material very well. Just watch out for boredom. Other than that I would recommend her. Do the extra credit!
She is a very "happy" person and makes the material interesting. If you GO to class, take the notes, the tests are easy. If something is unclear in class, the book can clear it up. Sometimes class can be boring- (same routine every time) but she shows videos that go along with the chapters.

Knows her stuff. She will help you anyway possible. If you don't understand the material then you will have a difficult time in this class.
Dr. Buckelew is a good and fair teacher. If you are confused about the material and notes, she will explain it to you or you can get it from the book. Blackboard quizzes are easy and help your grade.
Tests are straight from powerpoint notes, so just copy them down, study a few hours the night before. She is nice, but a tad robotic. She does show interesting clips and is always smiling.
Way too happy for 8 in the morning! Did not like her very much, cause she was very unhelpful. She got on my nerves, has kind of an annoying voice, I don't recommend her! TAKE SHERRY DENISE JONES!!!
Dr. Buckelew is both fun and interesting. I was apprehensive about the class because others gave her mixed ratings, but she always has an entertaining story and doesn't just read from the book. I actually like going to her class WAY more than I liked Jones' Psych class!
Dr. Buckalew is always smiling, and knowing that she actually likes to teach makes me wanna do better in her class. Most of her tests are rather easy, I read the chapters once before the test and Ace it each time. I'd recommend her over Jones too because Jones is so disorganized and indecisive...
Dr. Buckelew is very, very, unorganized in her notes and power point. She skips around a lot and she has her few students who are her "pets" and the rest are just out of luck. She tries to make things unclear it seems. Very snappy and arogant.
She is a horrible teacher. her notes by way of power point are disorganized and confusing. if she does not like you...oh well...good luck. she appears to treat girls far better than men in her class. she is not helpful and does not want to help you.

Is a good teacher. Tests are hard. She has a problem with not letting students ask questions. Other than that she is very nice. I learned a lot in her class.

She's a nice teacher.She gives 20 pts. extra credit. Her notes are from powerpoint. Her quizzes aren't timed. Her tests are easy if you really study. she shows examples and clips. you can learn from her. the quizzes are easy and come straight out of the book. the lowest I got on a quiz was 7/10.EASY
If you want to ACTUALLY learn, she is a great Doctor of Pyschology. She makes psychology easy to comprehend.

Her tests are easy! but you do have to take notes and actually do the study guides beforehand. She is a bit disorganized with her powerpoint, but if you complete the study guides, no problems.
She's very friendly and always entertaining, with a story from her psychology practices in various places just about every day, so you know that she really knows what she's talking about. If you pay attention and read the book, tests are easy and very fair, and there are opportunities for extra credit! I loved her & thought the class was a blast!
she does not care about her students especially the African American students. I ended up with a C but take Sherri Denise Jones instead. Bucklew is very inconsistent. she cannot teach the material well. she is redundant. She gives tests over material that she is too lazy to cover in class. She expects you to learn psychology on your on.
She is one of the laziest and unorganized teachers at the school. She cannot get anything together and then tries to blame it on the students. She is pitiful. They need to help the psych department out and fire her.
She makes you learn how to apply. But she is a great teacher and can give you accounts of things she runs into as a psychologist. I really enjoyed her classes.
Dr. Buckelew is awesome. She knows what she is talking about. She shares her experiences with patients, and gives you examples of what she's talking about.Her tests are easy and fair. The people who rate her bad are too lazy to study the material and need someone to blame it on. She is not biased or **** at all. Plus lots of Extra Credit
She seems to be a nice person but I wouldn't call her Mrs. she gets alittle upset.... She's a doctor and shes proud of it... maybe alittle to proud!!!
I really enjoyed 110,120, however psy 300 is a different story. She is a great teacher, I just think that the textbook used in 300 is very dry and well just boring! The field trip experience was awesome in this class. I would take it again.
you have a big paper project and filed project due in this class and she is very unclear about all of them so you just have to pray that you have what she wants.. her tests are moderatly easy...just like in 110 or 120..cept you have a few essay questions

She is very understanding and always willing to help you out. Material is not all that hard-basically some of it is common sense. Highly recommended--she has a way of making it all more interesting.
well i have only had 2 classes with her,, but so far she is REALLY boring and seems to think she is smart. i mean, when people offer their OPINIONS or just want to DISCUSS things with her, she ends up telling them if they are 'right' or 'wrong'...if you actually like to be INVOLVED in class, then she is NOT the teacher for you
Her tests are pretty easy as long as you look over your notes and pay attention in class. She gives plenty of chances for extra credit to make up some points. Overall she's a pretty good teacher.
Her tests are co easy. They come straight from the chapters in the book and her notes. No surprises. She gives up to 20 points extra credit throughout the semester! She does have an attendance policy but it isn't strictly followed. EASY A!

This class was hard. MAybe it was because I just don't like psychology but I work my butt off for a C and I cheated. You take notes everyday all class and you still have to read the book. I hated this class

Dr. Buckelew is not the best teacher at UTM. As far as personality, you could not ask for a nicer lady. Make sure you READ the chapter and have very good critical thinking skills. I have had to work my butt off for a B in here. Her tests are not very easy and her quizzes are moderately easy. She is the reason my minor is not Psych anymore!
this is the easiest class i have had at school and this is my third year. if you go to class you should make a good grade.

I hate this class. I have always been able to make really good grades, but I have studied my butt off this semester with her and all I can make is a C. Her tests are so hard and her quizzes are average. I study the chapters and definitions and take good notes and all I can make is a C. She stinks!!
She is a nice woman and I love talking to her. Her classes are somewhat hard, but they are with it if you like psychology. I've taken her since and I love her classes.
the easiest psychology professor you will have at UTM. If you are a psy major take her for as much as possible. Read the chapters you will do fine

She is a very great teacher, you just have to read the textbook and study hard for her tests! The tests are what brought my grade down, because I did not read the book like I should have. The quizzes are pretty easy and most of the time only ten questions. She made learning psychology fun and always had great stories and examples.
She knows what she is talking about and is willing to help anyone that is willing to help themselves. The tests can be a little tricky but it just boils down to reading what's assigned and listening in class. She's really approachable.
I find it obnoxious when professors are unfairly rated. Dr.Buckelew was a bit disorganized this semester and at times unclear, but that does not change that fact that she is a very caring teacher- put forth some effort and she will help you out. If you have no drive at all, do not take this class.
she was pretty good. she tells real life stories which always is good with the subject. her tests are tougher than i thought that would be so you need to look over the notes but more importantly read the book! i think we did every chapter in our book which is unsual. overall she is pretty good!

avoid! avoid! avoid! this is one of those professors that show no mercy and makes the test extremely hard. when half the class fails. does she think "well maybe i should lecture differently." no. she blames the class and calls them lazy. too tough for a mandatory class.
Intro to clinical. She is possibly the worst teacher it has ever been my misfortune to attempt to learn from. She is hubretic, conceded, out of touch, and a downright **** to some of her students. She is very disorganized, and posts study guides that she created 3 years ago for tests she creates this year. I will do everything in my power to avoid
I have had Dr.B for 3 classes and she is definatley not easy.Reading the book is a MUST. 70% of her questions come from the text. She is different but you just have to learn how to take her. She is a clinical psyhcologist so she had interesting stories. The clincial class is very boring however.. its just the content of the class.
She is horrible. She spends way to much time talking about herself and her work. She is horribly disorganized. She never makes it through the chapter before giving a quiz on it. Her slideshows are so not helpful either. Basically you teach yourself.

Not uncommon for her to be a little bit late to class & usually we were out a couple minutes later than we should have been (frustrating!). As long as u read the book(s)& come to class, then its fine. She sometimes words things in a confusing way tho & won't correct it when you point it out, even if u show her in the book why it may be confusing.
Dr. Buckelew is a great professor. She really knows what she's talking about! She gives extra credit and even brings in supplemental learning tools (i.e. videos, research). Remember to read the textbook for the test...thats a big help!

I NEVER opened the book assigned for her Psych 122 class! This class is supposed to be one of the most failed classes, but I passed with an A.Her lectures and slide shows were clear. She offers a lot of extra credit, and she drops the lowest quiz grade. She really doesn't assign homework. Her one on one personality is a little cold though.
Dr. B's class was ok. She can be boring at times. Test are hard so not only study the powerpoints but read the textbook.
Also 355. She's very scattered on her topics. Bounces around in the chapter usually so make sure you read your book to get all the info. Her tests can be difficult but the questions usually come from a test bank for the book so if you read the book you'll be fine. Can be very boring and discuss random things. Takes role almost every class.

She posts slides, and grades regularly on blackboard. Minimal book use.Material isnt difficult. approx 4 tests, 1 final(not cumulative), and like 8(10pt) quizzes.+ 2 RAPS on 2 Chptrs(u have to do a 1 pg paper where you list a vocab word, and then apply it(use it in an ex so she knos u kno it)several opportunities to complete those tho. I have an A+
She make psychology fun. She helps you apply what you learn to understand it. She post the material online.Do the quizzes and read the book. If you want someone to lecture you from the book, she id not the one.

Great teacher! She incorporates class work with real life situations. We also did a few "mini-experiments" in class that were cool. Not a hard class, you have to study though. The HW is practice quizzes that you do online, so it's like you studying for HW but anyway perfect example of how a "college class" should be.
I love Doctor Buckelew. She posts all her slides online, gives plenty of extra credit opportunities, and if you study her tests are not that hard. You can tell she really loves what she does.

Lectures are a little random but pretty entertaining. Print the slides or read over them online because she does not give you time to write anything before moving on.
Her tests are moderately difficult. I would suggest reading the sections, or skim them like me. We had the opportunity to earn a lot of extra credit. She can be a litle scatter brained, but she's a good teacher.
Amazing professor, I would definitely take her again. She gives a lot of chances for extra credit. Her test aren't bad, they are 50 questions multiple choice just make sure to study the slides. She is very willing to help. She can get a little off topic and print the slides she goes through them quickly.
i love Dr. B! she is so scatter brained at times, but she's a really great professor. This class was so fun, we read 2 books which were very interesting. I had to take an incomplete last semester but she let me make up my last 2 tests 4 moths later and i still got a B in her class, it's very interesting!

Lectures consist of her talking about dumb stories and reading off a powerpoint. Sometimes she will say she doesn't understand this but you will just have to learn it. Should be an easy A if you do the work and extra credit. Unless she doesn't like you.

Dr. Buckelew is a great professor that will teach you alot about psychology and apply it to real life situations. Also she offers extra credit so you can not fall behind on your grades. The average grade in her class is a C.
Her lectures were enjoyable. She made them interesting. She gives a ton of extra credit! The SI had multiple study groups. Study!!!
She is a very nice professor to work with, and as long as you do review quizzes and study key terms on mindtap, you'll be fine on exams, and they thankfully can be found on quizlet too. All you have to worry about is the book report.
