I had an B in Math 12 and C+ in Math 11. I got 95% in her class. How can you do the same? Follow her notes, do your homework(everyday), read the text book and ask questions.

Susan is a great teacher.Her notes are extremely thorough and she doesn't just assume you already know everything, she EXPLAINS everything in detail.she assigns homework for a reason, do it and you will do fine.

A totaly good techer. "she makes it hard for somone to be stupid"; allows formulea sheets for all tests and the final, and sometimes she just asks for the correct formula on tests!! haha.

She is by far the BEST teacher I've had so far at Camosun. She's a great teacher and such a nice person. My favorite teacher! She made me not hate math half as much as I used to! Get in her class if you can!!

do the assigned homework, math takes effort, she makes the material easy if you cooperate. she is a funny little lady who wants everyone to do well, and her teaching reflects that. If you put the effort into keeping up with homework, you will do fine

As long as you do the homework it's an easy class. She will go out of her way to help you get a good mark.

First of all, Susan doesn't have a heavy accent. She is a very clear and helpful teacher who really knows what she's talking about. DO YOUR HOMEWORK every night and ask questions and you can do really well. Only problem can be she often goes quite quickly, but she'll slow down if you ask her to.

Susan is an excellent instructor! I loved how she relates statistics to real life problems. Through the examples, in particular the ones in the hypothesis tests part, I see the usefulness of Stats. I will take at least one more Stats course because of her!

Susan is very approachable and if you keep up with your homework you will do fine!! She's excited about what she teaches and she can be quite funny! Take her class!

Great teacher. Pretty straight forward stuff, goes over the material many times to make sure everyone understands. Not boring - however, it is still math.

Susan is such a cute funny little lady. I enjoy going to her class because she is always so happy, helpful and chooses interesting stats probs that apply to real life. The only problem I've had in her class is that sometimes she goes over sections a little too quickly.

This was a fun class before i took it I had no clue how big of an impact stats really has on every day life.Its its more like the last half of 218 but its more enjoyable cuz you can see where it is applied. Susan is a great teacher and you will enjoy and understand stats! work hard & it will pay off

Susan's enthusiasm about statistics makes me working harder for this course. She is nice and clear. She gives assignment worksheets and they are very helpful. Some homework problems are really hard, but she was always there to help whenever I needed her.

Susan is by far one of my pest profs.I really did not wanna take this class and it ended up bringing up my GPA. Susan is always willing to answer questions. Her notes are very clear and you know what to expect for her exams. She is always smiley and in a good mood. If you must take math 116 i strongly recommand you take it with Susan.

Attendance of Susan’s lectures is essential; all assignments and tests can be done with class notes, a formula sheet is permitted for all tests. In introducing new concepts she will derive. Her Labs give step by step instructions, making them simple. If you fear or despise statistics, and are forced to take it, Susan is the Professor for you.

Susan is an excellent teacher. She truly cares about her students. I was amazed that she learned almost every student's name by week two! She is a very friendly lady who makes learning Math easy.

Susan is a great stats instructor. After taking Math 218 and 219 from her, I see how useful stats can be in our daily life. More importantly, she loves what she does and is really good at it! I have already recommended her to some students! She is nice and clear.

Susan was an extremely helpful teacher. I found her very patient, accomodating and she definitely had an interest in seeing that I succeeded in this course. She took a lot of the "fear" out of math/statistics. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Homework and assignments need to be done. Test are easy if you've done the homework and understand the concepts. Shes very nice and patient. Always gives class little treats now and then. All in all pretty enjoyable straight forward course. If you're not prepared to do homework and go to most classes, do not pick this professor.

Susan is a thorough and genuinely concerned teacher. She presented the course material clearly and made the course easier to learn than I expected. I took this course by recommendation of a friend and I would definately to recommend her to future students.

Susan is a wonderful woman who cares about her students. She is extremely organized--slides, practise tests and anything else you need are made available online. Lectures were often boring, but this is stats.

She is very sweet and loved by many students. She is approachable and will try to help you as much as possible.

I found Susan to be very helpful. Her slides could be confusing at times but she was always quick in responding to emails to help clear up confusion. Very nice lady.

Susan is an amazing teacher. Stats can be scary, but she seems to make it easy to understand. Her notes are golden and she is so helpful when you see her in office hours. Not only is she a great teacher but also an all around nice person.

Susan is an amazing teacher. I was very nervous about taking stats but she somehow makes it easy to learn. She is very good about her office hours and she is always willing to answer questions. Class is mandatory as her notes in class are gold.

I don't know how to look up the textbook. Anyways, not an easy subject matter but I think that Susan does a good job. Her heavy accent does detract a little bit. You have to show up and do your homework to pass, but that's expected in any math course.

Wonderful prof! Class is pretty easy but you need to put in A LOT of effort and time for homework, labs and reviewing. Exams are easy; you can bring a cheat sheet but try to do it fast as you only get 50 mins. Susan is also such a sweet person and gives you many, many opportunities to do well and excel in the course. I'm weak in Math and got an A!

I took Math 11 twice before passing it and three times overall with my best mark being a C+ but I got an A in her statistics class. If you put in the time and effort on her assignments and labs you should do just fine. Lastly some mentioned her accent being very strong its really not hard to understand at least at the front of the class.

This is what a teacher should be. Clear, Helpful, interesting, and amazingly organized. She wants everyone to succeed, instead of doing a bell curve grading. She's awesome - and she's not that bad to look at either :)

One of the best professors I've ever had.

Susan is a phenomenal teacher! Statistics can be a very dry topic, but she goes over material clearly and uses lots of examples to help illustrate each topic. These are tough courses, and you have to work very hard to do well. Attendance is DEFINITELY mandatory. Then again, Susan baked us cookies on several occasions, and who'd want to miss that!?

The best math teacher I've ever had! Susan cares about her students and at the end of semester provided lots of opportunities to get extra credit for those with lower marks. When doing notes from the slides she goes SUPER fast but she posts them all on D2L. Provides clear examples and notes. Definitely recommend having her for a prof!

Not once have I ever gotten a grade in Math that was above a C. Currently I am getting an A in her Stats class because she makes math easy to understand. She clearly puts the effort in for her students to succeed (extra credit, fast replying to e-mails, puts her notes on D2L and gives reviews which are helpful before tests) best prof by far!!

Susan is a gem! I have never enjoyed math and its been a few years since ive taken a math class but Susan made Stats really clear and fun. Susan keeps the class relevant and creates a positive learning environment. Shes's very approachable and her door is always open. Susan makes you work for it, but also wants to see her students do well!

If you are looking for a math/stat class where the homework is relevant to tests, then she is the professor you should choose. She does not add surprise content to tests that was never covered in class/homework like some math teachers. But don't expect an easy class. She makes you work for a good grade.

Amazing professor. Clear explanations, homework that helps you prepare for exams, and extensive office hours. Don't worry about memorizing all the formulas because you can prepare a cheat sheet for every test. Only thing that I didn't like was part of your test has a "group exam" -- if you get stubborn classmates, your grade might go down.

Susan is an amazing prof! Her notes are very organized and extremely helpful. Very fair tests and assignments. Her tests are easier than her practice questions, I think that's because the class is pretty difficult ( I feel it should be split into 2 courses instead of 1). She brought us candy a few times.

Susan is a delight. Notes and class instructions are very well explained and organized. She makes herself available for help outside of class-times(sometimes extra office hours) Her sense of humour makes statistics bearable, and she really tries to know each student's name. Gave me a plum from her garden. 90th-percentile on the great-teacher scale

Loved Susan! Never really been good at math but she made things easy to understand and was always available to talk about homework and tests and labs. It is also very obvious that she cares about her students deeply. Would highly recommend.

Susan is really great, coming from someone who sucks at Math she really helped me understand every concept and if you have a question about anything in her lectures she will go over it from start to finish. Always available for help outside of class. You are allowed to take a cheat sheet in for all tests which is extremely helpful.

Susan's skeleton notes are amazing! She wrote them to include so much information in a format that was really easy to read. She also explains things really well. Super happy to have had her as a prof. One of my favourite professors at Camosun for sure.

Susan wants you to succeed. Her skeleton notes she supplies students with as so helpful. I managed to get an A+ in her course and I hadn't taken a math course in over 6 years. She cares about the students and tries to make efforts to connect with you in different ways. It was a consensus within the class that she made it everyone's favourite class

I hadn't been in a math class for 7 years. Susan is amazing. She genuinely cares about her students and her lectures and recommended textbook and prep quiz/exam review q's more than prepare you for the midterms. It is easy to book time with her if you don't understand a concept and she knows how to teach to different learning styles.

Susan cares a lot about her students success. You get a cheat sheet for midterms and the fill in note taking style she uses makes it easy to follow along. Lectures are very helpful because she goes over examples with the whole class and encourages questions but also has awesome online videos if you miss. Labs are very easy to follow online.

Love Susan! I was never a math person and was nervous to take stats, Susan made it so easy. Get to bring cheat sheets into exams. she is not trying to fool you, just genuinely wants to see you do well. Ive never felt so competent in a class, asynchronous is the way to go.

Susan made it clear that she cares about students' success & was always willing to help. Broke down the concepts really well in lectures & accompanied them w examples. Textbook is more of a support rather than mandatory - her skeleton notes are very thorough. Stay on top of the MOM assignments, study well for exams and u'll be alright. Lovely prof!

I could not imagine a better Statistics teacher.

Susan is the best instructor I've had at Camosun so far. She is extremely caring and wants you to succeed. If possible, take her classes whenever you can. Never had an instructor that has such clear lecture material and doesn't use a textbook.

The course was challenging but more interesting than I expected. Susan is a very transactional person but I am not saying that in a negative way. You wont get the warm and fuzzies from her but she is good at her job and wants you to succeed

Such a good lecturer, makes everything very clear. I expected stats to be crazy hard but it was actually decent and way easier to learn than everyone makes it out to be.. I attribute most of that to Susan. if you have the choice, choose her!

Susan is a great stats prof and is clearly passionate about having successful students! She makes stats SO easy allowing you to use your lecture notes during quizzes and a cheat sheet for exams. As long as you follow along with her schedule on her syllabus you'll be fine and wont fall behind. Attendance is not mandatory but I'd highly recommend it.

Professor Susan, is an amazing teacher! I love her jokes and the fact that we are allowed CHEAT SHEETS per each midterm and the finals is amazing. Not only that she's very helpful of you have any questions. The only thing I would say is that she is very fast paced so keep that in mind.

She told us what she expected and did her best. It's not her fault my department sucks at this class and is expected to take it.

Hi, If you're taking this course, I highly recommend taking it with Susan in the winter semester. She explains the material clearly, is super approachable, and genuinely wants her students to succeed. Her structure is fair. She gives you what you need to prepare, and nothing on the tests feels like it comes out of nowhere.

Susan is an incredible professor, and her class is very well structured. Learning expectations are clear and material is easy to follow and understand (even for those who are not skilled in stats!). I really appreciate her and this course!
