Holds it against you if you miss a class...even with a doctors note. VERY rude!
Really doesn't care .
I have never had a more clueless professor. So mean
I found her to hate me
She thinks that she is by far the most important thing...BAD professor, so rude!
She is a horrible prof. and a terrible person. Get out of her Class!
For an intro class she grades hard
Most wifty teacher I have ever had! Basketcase. Refuses to give A's.
I do not have one nice thing to say about her. She is by far, THE WORST at UD
read the material and she's easy
sue was a very nice lady, just go up and talk to her you doofuses!
Graded a litlle hard. Well run and interesting class.

Very Ditzy!! Was a horrible teacher. Too much busy reading that was unnecessary
tests are graded hard, interesting class, pretty easy, ah..take it!
Super-easy class but boring. Pretty spacey & tends not to see other viewpoints.
she really cares about her students
She surprisingly doesn't know much about the subject. I was apalled.
CRAZY!
Crazy! I loved her class, she was really sweet. Study+extensive notes=A
A little ditzy...easy class, study for tests and show up, easy grade
loads of useless reading, tests make no sense, she sucks
Very nice professor, tests are easy if you read your text, show uo for class = A
she was a bit ditzy, but fair, funny and EASY A

Horrible! Rude! Unintelligent! How did she get a job teaching?

great prof., intriguing topics, enthusiatic, and super helpful
Wacky personality, interesting class. Do the readings, you'll get a good grade.

Very interesting material....not the most clear teaching @ times-makes you think
had no clue what she was talking about!
kind of ditzy but if you take notes and do readings easy grade
flaky, nice, closed-minded, good novels, bad class discussions, tricky tests
nice lady, go to class, take notes, get on her good side, she trys
A little ditzy but she really cares show up and do readings and get an A
a little ditzy but a great lady go to class and take notes you'l do well
Unless you are a feminist or answer the tests like own, I don't recommend
No Comments
its the best when she wears her hooker boots and sunglasses
trys really hard, very sweet, interesting course
Very nice funny lady,go to class...exams exactly the test..test tricky sometimes
missing a couple screws in her head, have to go to class, give a lot of xtra crd
class not very helpful. videos and book r interesting.
material is interesting, bit of an airhead, very kind, go to class!
This woman is a moron...her tests are so confusing. She can not debate N E thing!
nice lady, test are the same thing as study guide but many answers seem correct
Shes a bobble head! Tests so confusing.evry answer seems right.Lots of xtra cred
shes soo nice and smart too. i really enjoyed her class..... she gives extra credit too!!
i'm sure she's very smart, but the way she talks makes me want to scream...not capable of putting together a coherent sentence. her tests are horrible, but she tells you what will be on it. don't take for honors!!!!
Tells you what is on the tests. Gives extra credit. Rambles once in a while. Go to class, take notes, easy A.
yay for extra credit! sweet lady, great study guides for exams. sometimes has crazy questions on quizzez/tests though. :/
A bit spacey, but she must be somewhat there if she got her PhD..big mystery. Interesting course..lots of videos and a few books. Tests kind of unclear. But the massive xtra credit makes getting an A easy.
Bobble head!!!! I know deep down she means well and is very bright, but I had a hard time seeing that. Holla at the extra credit.
Nice lady, very pro-feminist. Find somehing in common with her and she will like you. Make sure she knows your name for a good grade...bright, but hard grader.
Great teacher. Will go the extra mile. Go to class and do extra credit.
Very nice lady- interesting classes- easy to get an A if you go to all classes, do study guide she gives you- Speak up in class, she'll know you're name and that will help. Lots of good videos and books-
Very interesting class, Prof. Cherrin was always very helpful and very enthusiastic about the material. I highly recommend taking this class with her.
Awesome teacher. Really helpful and the tests are easy. Just do the study guides she gives you. Make sure she knows your name. Easy A. Really knows her stuff and wants everyone to do well.
I love Prof. Cherrin. She is so sweet and helpful and enthusiatsic about the material that I decided to take on Woms Stds as a minor. I am defnintely looking forward to taking another class with her. Guest lecturers very interesting!
Complete birdbrain who gives more credit for showing up than for THINKING. "Participation" = attendance on randomly selected dates -- actual participation in discussions not factored into grade.
Wow, can you say ditz?
She is nice, but stumbles over her words. I don'tknow how she got a PHD because she is not a good speaker. She makes you want to scream,"JUST SPIT IT OUT ALREADY!" She sometimes seems like she is out to trick you on tests. If she knows your name
She is such a dits. Tends to bounce from topic to topic and babbles a lot. Lots of reading, but reviews for quizzes and extra credit is useful.
has a lot to say and tries to cram it all in. very intelligent and open-minded. lots of information. beware, the tests are harder than u'd think. lots of a, b, c, a&b, all of the above type questions.
pretty good teacher, tests are tricky (multiple choice: is it A, B, C, A and B, or ALL OF THE ABOVE?) good mixture of lectures, movies and speakers. come to class, take notes, and you'll be fine!
If you always go to class you will do fine. Read everything on study guide. She tests on articles never talked about in class, but overall is pretty easy. Material is easy to understand.
She's a sweetheart. I enjoyed her class.
I really enjoyed this professor. She presneted the material in a vey interesting way, and she always listened to other's opinions. I would definatly recommend her.
She is a sweetheart! I really enjoyed the class a lot. She used a good combo of lectures/discussions, movies, & guest speakers to make the course fun/interesting. Sometimes the test could be a little tricky w/ the muiltiple choice; but still easy.
Almost no work for this class...but due to the fact that the tests are worth 30% of grade w/30 questions...each question wrong on a test is a point off your final grade...which adds up quickly!
She may appear a little airy...but she is actually EXTREMELY intelligent and inciteful. Very good class if you're willing to make an effort.
Although she is ditzy at times and stutters, her class was usually very interesting. She shows a lot of videos too. Tests are kinda nerveracking though, but she doe give a study guide.
Great professor. Such a sweetheart. She genuinely cares how you do in her class and will do anything you need. A good amount of reading but the exams are nothing if you've done the work. Great professor, Take class
mult choice test a little tricky. however, put in a bit of effort you'll see good results. she gives lots of extra credit. also gives good insight on what will be on test.
I LOVED this prof!Exams easy if you did the study guide, and that cut the long readings in 1/2! Her lects were interesting and can be related to most of the time. Plus, she was very accomidating to person schedules. gets 2 know u better the closer u sit.
Really sweet professor. She has interesting lectures and her tests are not bad at all. Gives a lot of extra credit.
great professor. second class i've taken with her and she is very nice. tests are a little hard but if you study you'll be fine. class is never boring, good videos and guest speakers.
Very interesting class. Cherrin is sweet, but theyre not kidding when they call her an airhead. Great material with good videos and guest speakers. Overall, you'll like it, even with the tricky tests.
kinda ditzy, but class is easy and most material is interesting. lots of extra credit based on random attendance. dont get behind on your readings though because they can really pile up.
Really nice person... funny and helpful... shes fair w/ the work and keeps u interested in class..
Make sure you go to class on Fridays (you'll get extra credit) and read. The tests are pretty much common sense with the readings thrown in. But, she is a good prof. and really cares about her subject.
This class was pretty easy. Although, the class is kinda boring. The tests are pretty easy. Make sure you read the readings from the study guide. THe study guide consists of about 90% of the test.
Nice lady, gets to know her students, loves to debate and hear everyones opinions, a lot of reading, always gives study guides, and 3 tests including exam :)
Very nice and enthusiastic about Womens Studies.I liked her so much I took another Womens Studies class. Classes are easy and fun, lots of guest speakers, videos, extra credit opportunities. If you go to class you will not have a problem getting an A.
Professor extremely easy, class easy A. If you go to her for help she WILL help you. Study guide before every exam.Take advantage of the review, she will give you all the answers. She might come off as a dumb blonde but she really IS smart.Come to classes extra credit given. Highly recommend her!!!!
Loved the class even though I DID not want to take the class...shes really nice and very smart if you just listen....warning if you are a republican you might be offended by her thought process she hates bush....which is a good thing...:)
She is a very nice lady who wants to make things easy and also wants to teach you a lot. Sometimes it could become a little too much like therapy sessions for women and it had a tendancy to be a little biased. But do take her, she's very intelligent and go to class--tons of extra credit! Easy A!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER... shes so nice and is always willing to help !!! very smart and a really interesting class to take.. class recommended to EVERYONE !!
She's kinda crazy, but passionate about the subject matter. Definitely recommend her!
Definitely not the easy A I thought it would be. You MUST do the readings to understand which is a pain b/c they're boring. Lectures are dull. She's a nice woman w/ your interest at heart, but she's kinda confusing on what she excepts for your papers/tests.
She's a sweet lady who really knows alot about women's issues. The material was so interesting but the class itself was boring. Must read, take notes, and pay attention. Tests were easy if you do the above, but don't expect to slack off on the HW. Try hard and you can get an A.
*extreme feminist alert* nice lady but wow does she hate men. tests are not that bad if you do the study guide.. but the study guide is like 5 pages long with all essay questions.
I don't agree with some of the things she says in class, but she's very nice and listens to opposing viewpoints. The only problems I have with her are that her exam questions are sometimes hard to understand and she can't seem to get the electronic equipment working in the room without calling a tech-guy.
She gives out study guides for the intro classes and talks about how they are going to be on the test but other material is more prominent especially STUFF WE NEVER WENT OVER. Her test questions are blatantly biased to the point you think they are a wrong answer and she admitted that she never taught us one question but is too lazy to change it!!!
Mostly discussion class, and professor encourages debate amongst students. Three noncumulative exams and a quiz, but she gives out study guides with every possible question for the tests a few weeks beforehand. Very easy A.
2 non-cumulative exams, a novel quiz and a research paper. Gives study guides for the exams with exactly what you need to know out of the book. Don't take the take-home final, it's a paper and a very broad question where you basically have to spit back everything you've learned. She's a very nice lady though and very helpful.
She loves the "gotcha" approach. Her study guides DO NOT refelct what is on the test and most of the material on the exams was NEVER COVERED in class. Mediocre lectures with very little information. Seems nice but is rather ditzy. Pretends to be flexible but is quite punitive.
Ok, whoever wrote the review before must be a complete idiot. This was one of the easiest classes i've taken at UD. Everything on the tests was from the staudy guides and class notes, so that person probably didnt bother to fill out the study guide properly. You, must to class however, cuz the info in class is different from the textbook.
If the "genius" below me realized, 201 nd 202 are different classes (also, check your grammar and spelling). I took 202 and I agree with the other review.
Completely unintelligent and a disgrace to the university. Her tests not only include info neglected from the study sheets, but the tests include info that (she actually admitted!) my class never went over. She told me it was too much work to change scores, and doesn't like to be argued with-well then be historically accurate and knowledgeable!
Ms.Cherrin is the sweetest women, she's really passionate about women's studies which is cool since she's teaching it. The class is easy as long as you read and pay attention, go to class, it'll increase your grade if you do, trust me! Her tests are a little tricky, but nothing too serious. Take the time to get to know her, she's very sweet.
Cherrin gives poor, hard to follow lectures. The course content is very disorganized and her tests didn't really correspond with the study guides. Although she's definitely well informed in her own research, she fails to reproduce this for other students. However she did give extra credit basically just for showing up and graded the research pape
Class was boring, had to force my self to attend. Guest lecturers were even worse and added nothing to the class. The whole thing was based on her opinion. It was not an informative class and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Very nice woman, NOT a man-hater or a femi-nazi. Clearly has very strong opinions (what do you expect in this type of class). I recommend attendance because she will sometimes give unannounced extra credit for class discussions and most test questions come for class discussions. Long study guide kind of stinks and is only a small part of the test.
Such a nice lady, but not the best teacher. She's obviously passionate about her subject, the course was just all over the place. I think it's a little difficult to cover every continent's history of feminism in one semester. But still, pretty easy A, and interesting course material.
Prof. Cherrin is the sweetest lady. If you follow her study guides on the readings and pay attention in class and you will do well and learn a lot. Go to her office hours and get to know her. She is super nice and will go out of her way to help you. Great class for multicultural requirement too!
Not sure what class the reviewer from 12-3-06 was in. She is incredibly biased and discriminatory, especially if you voice opinions different then her own. In most other departments, teachers would be fired for presenting material as one-sided as she does, but then again this is Women's Studies.
Easy one credit pass/fail. Only 5 weeks long, once a week. Movies are really interesting and enjoyable.
I hated this class because Cherrin was one of the most unorganized professors I have ever met. During test time, she had to make two "small" corrections that changed the entire the answer. And the study guide she gives rarely show up on the test because tests are mostly based on class discussions. The professor is nice, but so unprepared.
I love Professor Cherrin, she's always so happy. You can tell she's passionate about her job. She's easy to talk to and she will help you if you're having trouble in her class. Attend class and read the book and I promise you that you will get an A.
She is a great teacher, she is very passionate and I actually enjoyed attending her class. I would recomend taking her classes to anyone. Nicest, cutest lady ive met.
Very nice woman who is very passionate about what she teaches. Very entertaining, and a little bizzarre. Not open at all to opinions that conflict with her own - just keep that in mind. Lectures are extremely unorganized and impossible to take valid notes from. You should go to class but it won't hurt to miss a few.
Cherrin's a bit nutty, but very entertaining nonetheless. Class was very disorganized, but you end up learning a few useful bits of knowledge here and there.
This women is crazy. Her lectures are all over the place and it's practically impossible to take any notes. You watch lots of movies and then for the tests she asks you to recall them by name. You would think this class would be easy and you would be wrong. Tests are terrible and are nothing like lectures.
I loved this class. It was not mandatory to go to, the tests were straight from the study guide/readings assigned, and she always welcomed people to "play devils advocate" and disagree with her. It is an easy class as long as you do the readings.
I love Cherrin!! She's such a sweetheart and really wants you to do well. As long as you come to class and participate, she will do everything to help you. She doesn't demand much from her class so if you study a little bit, you'll get an A. Plus, she's really interested in the subjects she teaches.
Professor Cherrin is such a sweety! The class is very interesting. As long as you attend class, take notes, and study the study guides for each exam, you are assured an A.
international women studies...easy class. good GPA booster. study guides are helpful and go along with the book. lots of reading for the class but its easy. class isnt structured which is cool. movies in class are on the tests but if you miss class you can watch them at the library. no final just one last exam on a few chapters. lovely person
Do not take this class unless you have tooo!!! I read everyones comments on here and thought it might be a decent class its VERY time consuming. She assigs hundreds of pages of reading for the test. Sure, if you read all those pages youll do well but its gonna end up being the class you spend the most time on and WOMS 201 should not be that importa
easy but if you're a dude be wary. i swear she was extra critical on my short essay answers because i was male..
EASY! Her exams are straight from her notes and the book-if you study you easily get an A-plus I think she is cute with pretty outfits!
The class was an easy A if you go to class and read the book. Half the questions on the exam are from class and half are from the book which is a collection of interesting stories. This class was really not that time consuming; I studied for the exams the night before and got As on them all.
Easy class, she really helps you if you need it..extra credit given..interesting lectures and readings
this is a great class, and she is a wonderful professor. i read maybe a quarter of what i was suppose to read and did fine. She goes over what readings will be on the tests and what key aspects are. just show up to class, because a good hunk of material from class will be on the tests (and she gives extra credit for showing up at times)
went to every class even though it seemed pretty useless. tests are super easy and she even gives multiple extra credit opportunities. barely read the textbook and i got an A.
She's somewhat ditsy and gets confused pretty easily, then she just laughs it off. If you do the reading from the book and fill out the study guides NOT the day before the test it will make a big difference. The readings aren't boring compared to what you have to read in other classes. And you watch a lot of movies.
She's really nice and very helpful. She doesn't require attendance, but the classes are helpful. She isn't a radical feminist, so she's very down to earth, and she has a lot of experience in other areas that give you a well rounded view of the topic. I look forward to having her as a teacher again. Definitely take her class!
This class is an easy A, as long as you do the study guides before the test and go to the more important lectures. Always go to class on the days that she shows films, because there's almost always test questions about them. Nice lady, but kinda strange.
Great! She is a very pleasant women always moving about the classroom. She loves to get you involved and will call on you to participate. Very interesting topics that relate to real world. Tests were straightforward. Book quizzes were the same. I would take her again if i had to but I never really want to take womens studies again.
Professor Cherrin was the best! Class was actually fairly interesting and the books we have to read were short and easy to read. Quizzes and tests were not difficult at all and she gives you study guides before, which cover ALL the material from the text book so you dont even have to read it if you do the study guide. definitely take her!!!
Cherrin is a good professor who is willing to help you do good in her class. She gives extra credit and hints about whats on the exam. Solid A if do the study guides and go to class. Get to know her
if you don't like listening to/reading about a bunch of make believe problems in the world that no one cares about, then don't take this class. if you're into that sort of thing, take this class and frankly, it won't be too hard
Honestly, she can seem a little loopy, but give her a chance to get to know you. There are three exams and a paper, and her exams are very detail-oriented, but she provides lengthy study guides for the exams. Sometimes class is vital, other times useless, but go and bring your laptop, so you can watch the movies. Cherrin cares about her students.
I LOVE her. She is so funny and she is the cutest thing ever. Attendance is not mandatory but class is worth going to if you enjoy participating in discussions. 3 tests and a paper, read the textbook you'll be fine. She gives a study guide DO IT. She gives extra credit too. TAKE THIS CLASS!
Literally the worst professor I've ever experienced and the worst class ever taken. Thought it would be an easy group A but not easy at all. 3 exams, each one with information from over 15 (lengthy) articles on Sakai. The study guide is all from text book and none of it is on exams. Annoying essay on a book. Don't take it if you're not interested.
Overall, pretty easy class. She's really nice and happy but going to class is hit or miss with it being worth your while. I would recommend going as much as possible but it gets boring sometimes. Read the textbook, study guides didnt help me much. Definitely go to class the day before the tests for a little review. Overall I liked her a lot
Took this as an easy breadth, and it kind of is. Do the study guides and read ALL sakai articles and take notes and you will pass. Her lectures are totally all over the place and it's a hit or miss whether the class is worthwhile or not. A lot of movies which is nice. Extra credit paper to do if you need it. One paper.
This class is pretty tough. I took it expecting an easy A, and am struggling. There are a lot of readings and video lectures, which will all be on the exams. The exams are all true false, multiple choice, and essay. She is very particular what you put down as your answer. There is one paper and extra credit is offered. You either do well or don't,
Do not take this class if you're just looking for an easy A. On the other hand, it is a great class and Professor Cherrin is fun and easy to talk to. She definitely looks for class participation, which is nice because a woman's studied class should encourage discussion. Definitely fair. There's a lot of reading to do, but it's easy reading.
Pretty easy class. 3 exams and 1 quiz. she gives extra credit. Doesn't take attendance but if it's a movie day you should go because she puts questions on the exam and otherwise you have to watch the movie on your own time. She's very sweet and helpful but can sometimes seem a bit loopy. She's very smart but isn't the best at articulating that.
Nice woman but class can be boring. If you can get a copy of the old tests you're in good shape and only need to put minimal effort into studying material and memorizing the old tests. If you can't get the old tests, you'll have to put in some work.
I thought this was going to be an easy breadth req but I was wrong. She's one of those teachers that make you read out of the textbook and the chapters are 40 pages long with small print. Every point on the exams=1% point on final grade. She does give 1-2 extra credit assignments but its only to raise your % of final grade by 1%.Take another group C
She is a sweet, funny women and is like a grandmother, but she is very intense and passionate about what she teaches. She is more than willing to help you if you need it. Do the study guides and go to class and take thorough notes and you will do great.
Great teacher nice person. Reading of entire chapter of textbook not Required, tells you the main points to read on the review.
Cherrin was really passionate helpful and nice. Fill out the study guides ahead of time because they are super long, go to class whenever there's a video, BS the short answers on the tests and you will at least get partial credit. Its really interesting and it wasn't as easy as expected but I got an A-
She shows alot of videos. Must see them for the test! Test questions are ment to trick you.
This class was beyond boring. Really disliked it. Hardly went to class except on video days. Girls Like Us book was interesting but reading 30 pages/chapter for a test was awful and mundane. Teacher was nice I guess, but didnt help the make the class any more interesting. Take another elective if possible.
Lectures tend to get boring, go whenever she shows a movie (it's gonna be on the exam), do the study guides and ask as many questions about the study guides during reviews since she tells you what kind of answers that she'll accept.
She is an awful teacher but not too bad of a class. If you need a multicultural you should take her class with a lot of harder courses. Class requires no work.
This has been my easiest class in college so far. We had 3 tests, a paper and a final that was either in class or take home. The tests are a mixture of multiple choice, T/F, and short answer. As long as you go to class everyday and fill out your study guide you should be fine. We watch a lot of videos in class so, don't miss the movie days!
Very interesting class hated having to miss it. Professor Cherrin is awesome and SUCH a good teacher, does a great job at making every class interesting. Exams are not that hard and you only need the book to study for exams.
Very sweet lady. Exams are easy if you come to class, especially on movie days. The subject material is very interesting and satisfies the multicultural requirement!
Although very sweet, Professor Cherrin has been one of the the worst professors I've had in terms of being able to productively hold a lecture. I sometimes can't even connect the beginning of her sentences to the end. I was genuinely interested in this course prior to taking it, but professor Cherrin essentially depleted the majority of my interest
Very boring and uninformative. I would never recommend this class.
Loved her and this class! I took it for an easy breadth requirement and it was awesome. Attendance isn't mandatory but beneficial. Her study guides are solely based on the text book but the tests incorporate notes from lectures and articles from Sakai too. Exams involve a lot of short answers but very easy. Only one paper to write. Take this class!
She was really nice, but her exams are really hard. The entire class is only out of 105 points based on 3 exams and 1 quiz. The exams are only out of 30 points and mostly mc but everyone question has options of "all of the above" AND things like "both A and C" Also there is a lot of reading for this class. Don't recommend taking this class with her
She knows her stuff, man. She uses PowerPoints and videos from 10+ years ago. Attendance is not mandatory, but since she shows a lot of the videos during class you're going to want to go. DO NOT try to last minute cram for these exams. She provides an endless study guide but will tell you if something isis not on test if you ask. Sweatheart.
Prof Cherrin is so nice, but her lectures are very difficult to follow. Sometimes when she's speaking, it's difficult for me to connect the beginning of her sentences to the end. Her slideshows don't have much to do with what she's talking about, and there's a ton of reading for this class. tests are difficult, and def make sure to go on movie days

She's so nice, but her lectures are impossible. She knows so much that she just rambles for most of the class, and it's very difficult to follow. There is a LOT of reading for this class, and def go on movie days. but your whole grade is 3tests1quiz, and the test questions are tricky. overall would strongly advise against taking this class w her
dr. cherrin is nice and passionate about the subject, but don't take this class with her. there was SO much material to read/watch on Sakai that was not discussed in class, and there would be maybe 1 or 2 questions per each 6 page article on the test. boring lecture & an occasional video/movie every class. interesting subject, not the best prof.
