Inexperienced and unprofessional. Literature is different for everyone unless you have her as a professor then it's her opinon and the wrong opinon.She should have gone into a different field. Teaching really isn't for her.

Aroggant! yeah we are aware that you are a Dr. We know you went to a great college in PA. Oh and you wrote a book. Shut up and teach for crying out loud. This professor is useless. Extremely inexperienced, obviously believes she is above everyone,especially community college students. Stay away!

She had an bad teaching technique. She told my class she use to teach Junior High students. The women has not understood how to teach like the other college professors do. Thats why i won't recommend that teacher. STAY AWAY FROM HER CLASS IF YOU WANT A GOOD GRADE IN YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

SHE IS TERRIBLE.. Avoid this witch at all costs. She has no teaching skills, can't make it to class on time and assignes way too much reading for a writing class. Basically she is very bachwards and should be removed from the profession of teaching.

Makes rules and decides who has to follow them and who doesn't. Not FAIR AT ALL. Horrible teaching skills and very unorganized. Very unfair way of grading. Hates Bush, Loves Jane Fonda -need I say more? By far the worst teacher I have ever had.

She has never been early or on time to class once, definlty gives alottt of reading, i thought i liked her in the beginning but got the wrong impression of her! In terms of her overall teaching ablity, she is unexperienced and is not a good teacher, and overall expects too much work done considering half the students in the class are not ENG MAJORS

Most disorganised and intolerable teacher. She expects too much from her students and assigns too many papers. Oh, she never has time to grade them, never on time for her classes and is always in a bad mood when she personal life is in limbo.

This prof has no clue as to what is going on. It is a very interesting class but she too that away the minute she walked through the door. Very hard grader and expects way too much. She has her fav students who can do nothing and get an A while the rest of her class suffers for her chaos life. Take the class but find a different teacher.

Unorganized doesn't even begin to explain her.Shes the only professor that i have ever had that gives the assignment sheet after you have done the assignment.ALWAYS late, and insanely inflexible.She uses "this is a college course" as and excuse as to why she assigns the way she does i have 72 credits thats not an valid excuse HORRIBLE STAY AWAY!

Please do not take intro to women studies with this women, she will totally ruin you...Unless you like to be told "college is not for everyone, you should just drop out." or you are into being "punished". She degrades the men that are in the class....She throws tantrums in the middle of class on a regular basis...Whatever you do please BEWARE!!!!!!

she is by far the worst teacher i have ever had. she rather you drop her class that to be in it. she's always telling our class to just drop it instead of encouraging us to do better or the importance of this class. she's always late. always insulting us, and she's most definitely has a.d.d. she is THE worst teacher ever.

Horrible teacher! Along with just being a horrible teacher, she refused to accept an essay from me the next class two days after it was due when I was absent the day it was due. But the 3rd essay I hand in on time and she lets people hand it in up to a week late. I failed because she refused to take it and she knew that i would fail without it.

Please do not pick this Professor 4 your future studies...She's late everyday...very disrespectful....Have no idea what's she's teaching..She writes on the board and be all over the place...No matter how good your paper is, she will fail you. How can there be a right a wrong answer in Religion? There isn't....The only professor that I did not like.

Very Unorganized and Doesnt really teach well and always busy and if youre 5 minutes late to her class she will freak out wouldnt take her class if I had to save the world from Thanos

Cushman is very unorganized and not punctual. She would show up to a 50 minute class 30 minutes late and then expect students to still be ready and prepared for class. She's had incidents where students felt uncomfortable in her class. 0/10 definitely don't recommend.

Professor Cushman is a dreadful instructor who is constantly rude to her students. She is an unreasonably harsh grader who knocks off an entire grade point due to 2 absences. Also very inconsiderate of students with disabilities. Avoid her

I was the student who did my work better then other students in the classicipated long story short I was being accused of having help from someone at home!I feel offended because Im a black student who works hard on their work&always was good at writing Ive progressed from my previous Eng teacher.I do not recommend cushman!change immediately!

Professor Cushman trys her best to be as helpful as she can with her students and also gives a good amount of opportunities for extra credit. However, she is a harsh grader and incredibly picky with what she wants in your papers. I would definitely choose a different professor.

Thats how bad of a professor she is, seems like a sweet lady until she doesn't like or agree with something thats happening.I had to go to North Carolina b/c my Gma was sick and i let her know b4 i went and she accused me of lying. Attendance is MANDATORY, I had a huge emergency come up and couldn't make it to school; She was the only professor who disregarded my situation out of all my courses. More than 2 absences and you cannot earn higher than a C! A good grade in her class is very tough to achieve unless you set up appointments, her lessons are also very unorganized.

Don't try and disagree with her or correct her. It's her way or the highway. I tried correcting her on something she thought was racist and she continued to talk right over me. She is very rude to students. Also, if you have an actual reason not to be in class she won't care and mark you absent, the same goes for work.

I passed so let me give my honest opinion. to the people saying that all you have to do is pay attention and take notes they are lying. If she does not like you it will be known. even if she does you cant help but feel bad for the kids she doesn't. One kid in my class failed the final and we only knew that because she exposed him. Do not take.

she was not a good professor, she did not treat students that have a learning disability well, she always got annoyed with one student who has a disability. she cursed at a student in our class and then claimed that she never said that certain curse word to a student. she always brought up the fact that we were her add on class almost every class.

To start off, she loves saying she's not rac1st, but she had said n3gr0 and other words that have made people uncomfortable. She's not nice and loves to play favorites. She's very rude, disrespectful and disorganized. She wants no exceptions when it comes to hand in essays on time but never grades them on time and does it during class.

She was not very kind very arrogant I would say. She would come late everyday up to 10 minutes. She curesed at a student for going to the bathroom once and is very judge mental on who you hang around with

Cushman is singlehandedly the worst professor I ever had. Although the course is relatively easy to pass, putting up with her for over an hour is detrimental. All she teaches us are racial issues and even though they are important, I would love to learn other things. Everything about her just makes me mad. She doesn't let us use the bathroom.

Although I received an A I still feel like I need to make a review. She is extremely unkind to students she does not like. She is rude to those with disabilities and anyone who questions her. She gets mad if we are late but is late all the time. Extreme attitude and has cussed a student out of class in front of everyone. Just avoid her tbh.

Unfair grader. Genuinely seems like she doesn't want her students to succeed. EXTREMELY passive agressive. Arrives late & keeps you in class late & will shame you if you leave when the class is actually supposed to end.

First and foremost, She is a lousy professor who is unempathetic to student struggles. I had a family emergency, and I wanted a simple extension on an essay, and I was declined. Furthermore, she frequently yelled at students, including me, for lateness while being consistently and begrudgingly being more than 15 minutes every class.

Probably the worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. She comes to class 10 minutes late every single day and then gets mad when people need to leave since she always ends class late. She has the worst attitude and goes on and on talking about absolutely nothing. Do not take her class, one of my biggest regrets even though I got a A+.

Genuinely worst professor at this college that I've had so far. She criticized my higher level thinking because apparently weren't meant to “dumb down” what we say for our assignments. Refuses to give out an A even if you had a degree in English from Harvard. She takes any comment very personal and is 10000% racist.

I honestly don't care to write reviews but this professor is genuinely terrible. She claims to be nice and acts as though she is always doing you a favor but she is very ignorant. She criticized me for not writing at a lower level and doesn't even have a clear grading rubric. She is definitely racist!!! Listen to the reviews drop the class ASAP!!!
