Loves to teach, GREAT professor!!
very nice but very hard, lots of work
Professor Eisner, is a very helpful professor. she really cares about her students and wants to us in anyway that she can. i would recomend to take this class with her.
she likes to listen to herself talk more than she really teaches and gets mad at you if you are even a minute late.
Expects way to much work, she thinks she is still at Harvard. It is her way or the Highway. Is very picky when grading. Do not try to express your opinions. Note to self don't take Kettlitz and Eisner in the same semester unless your a masochist.
She is a very good professor but very tough.
She is very demanding and assigns a lot of work but it is not over-bearing. Her review sheets are very well laid out for students.
She is very difficult but is a great teacher. I learnt alot. dont wast your money on the book. Buy her study guide for 9 bucks - thats all you need. She brings cookies for the test - you will need them because they are really hard.
She panders students and doesn't seem to know the material very well. Plays games to get good evaluations...I don't trust her.
She doesn't seem to understand the material. I learned more about this material in principles of management...this was just a waste of time.

Her class is just a waste of time. It is just a lot of useless inormation she thinks way too much of herself...wait until she cries while giving out evaluations!
Professor Eisner is the best professor I've had. She knows how to really get the information to you so you understand it, won't embarass you if you don't know the answer, and she's very very helpful and pleasant. I highly suggest taking her classes.
Prof. Eisner may have to be the most outstanding professor I have taken at Ramapo. The course is INFO HEAVY, but she did a great job of explaining throughout class, and use of her study guide (Makes note taking incredibly easy).

I think she is a great teacher.. best ever
she makes you do college worth work, what a concept!~~?~?
work is challenging but she gives lots of chances and extra credit, she tries to make it an easy transition from high school. if you fail her class you really have to not care. you can tell she loves her students, even though they may not love her back.
An Okay professor. You must suck-up to this teacher if you want a good grade. Never Ever argue with her on anything, dont get on her bad side. Study-guide is very helpful, I hardly read the book but got an A for the class.
i had her as my co-op advisor and she's truly excellent. she steers you in the right path and provides answers to many of your career questions.
She is a nice lady but all I can say is she likes to beat a horse to death.
I had her Freshman year and I hardly EVER read and I got an A. It's a lot of work, but if you pay attention in class and read the paper before class, you will know what is going on and she will love you! Also, sit in the front, she will love you more!

Good professor but dont argue with her. She is a die hard libral.
Shes very nice and helpfull. She seem to care about her students deeply. Her class isn't hard as long you pay attention to her lectures and read the outline she gives you for the two books.
She is a very nice lady who teachers her heart out. However, she indeed goes over topics for way to long. Easy class as long as you utilize the study guide and pay attention during the class. Will love you if you participate and sit closer to the front.
i love eisner! she is the best. everything you need to know for the tests is right in front of you.
alot of work and reading....hard professor...
Be warned, Prof. Eisner enjoys preaching about politics more than teaching the course material. She has very liberal views and does not appreciate it when her opinions are challenged. She is a tough grader and assigns unnecessary oral presentations. AVOID
Worst ever
DONT TAKE HER!! A lot of work! Nice as a person, BAD teacher

Professor Eisner is one of my favorite professors. She makes a study guide for the textbook that is thorough and contains all the answers for the tests. She is always willing to discuss future career plans. You'll learn a lot.
if you want an easy A, do not take Eisner's class. she is an amazing teacher though if you want to learn the material that she is willing to show you. Lots of group work, discussions, work and reading. tests are easy if you read study guide
Good teacher, but trys to push her political views on students.
not really like a college class, more like high school
The class is really easy if you read and pay a bit of attention during class. She gives a lot of work but it's all easy and an easy A. She really cares about her students and their learning. She's an awesome lady.
she means well. i enjoyed the topic of the class but she does give a lot of work. she expects you to be prepared for class. i would take her again, she is incredibly intelligent.
Extremely tough work load and extremely tough grader
Prof. Eisner makes you work hard but you learn so much. The class was made as interesting as possible. Make sure to buy the study guide, it will help. Lots of HW but its easy. Midterm and final were hard but she has a review.
I don't know what these people are talking about...she is a nice person...but she's sooo fake and extremly hard. Her lectures are boring and a lot of the work she makes u do is pointless. She gives extra credit..but I've never even seen where it all goes.
GITTENS ALL THE WAY... EISNER IS BAD!
avoid her at all costs. take gittens. he is much much much much much BETTER.
BEWARE!! STAY AWAY!! AVOID at all costs. extremely hard class. wayyyyyyyy too much homework. the work load is enormous. do not take!!!
Do not take her if you do not have to. Too hard, unfair, way to much homework. Teaches how to treat others, but does not do it by herself... . Bad thing to take her
Beyond easy, if you want the easiest A ever take this class. Don't even have to study for the test to get an A.
She is very fake and extremely cocky. She is boring as well. She does some good group work though.
so easy. as long as you buy the study guide, you don't have to read bc all her lectures are straight from it. just highlight what she says and follow the review sheets for the tests and you'll be fine. 1 group project and some in class stuff.
she is very helpful, really cares, and isn't extremely difficult. there is a bit of work.. but it is college
Very good at explaining. Comes right out of well organized study guide. A LOT of VERY HARD work and moderately tough grader.
Prof. Eisner makes you realize how important business is and you'll find yourself after taking her class to pay a lot more attention to the world around you. The class however is somewhat boring, but she gives good notes and her test aren't that bad if you study. She gives a lot of work so be aware
She is a great teacher. Always willing to help if the time is convient for her. She gives you the whole textbooks notes typed up. She gives lots of examples of the work of past students so you know what to expect. Great Teacher and Great lady.
I just don't trust her. She seems fake and very po;itical.
If you are a democrat you are fine. I questioned some of the things she said politically and she got so mad at me. Very stubborn woman who needs to lighten up. I would not take her unless you are some left-wing freak.
The class is definitely a challenge. Non-stop work, but Susan will work with you. Very knowledgable and experienced. Recommended if you aren't too lazy.

She will work you to death then fail you, impossible to pass her class unless you are a business major.
1 hour in class = 2 hrs HW ive just started and can say work is a big issue with her but ive had teachers like her before shes one one stance and charicter if u can argure with her it should be more than welcome just know your stuff "support ideas" def one worth taking for experience.
Definitely a lot of hw for a 3 cr course. Kind of a pain, but still a good prof. I actually did learn a lot in the class. The material is all up to date which made it fairly interesting. Just be prepared to do a lot of typing. Exams were moderately difficult, a little studying = no problem.
LOTS of work, as if you are not taking any other classes. Expects you to know so much for the exams. Holds class after exams which takes away from the time you have to generate the perfect essay she requires. Treats the class like grade school sometimes and bores you by reading directly from book
avoid at all costs. awful class, tons of work, tons of rules and policies that she strictly follows, work has to be done perfectly. so rude and not considerate. never again, AVOID!
a lot of work, but i learned a lot from her and this class. if you read and study you should be fine... plus she gives LOTS of extra credit opportunities.
First class... fun. Every class after that... Hell.

a lot of work for an intro class, lots of group projects that don't count for anything, but she gives you study guides for the exams that help a lot. at the end of the semester there's a final project plus a final exam which seemed kind of ridiculous...but not a bad class overall
A lot of work but it pays off. She was probably one of the best professors I had this semester and if you talk to her outside of class she really tries to help you. It also helps that she is the professor that wrote the study guide for the course so she knows what she is talking about.
Good Prof. Very knowledgable, but gives so much work. Nice lady, just stay on her good side and get your work done. A lot of work.
She is good in the sense that she tells you what you need to study for. I think somewhere deep down below she does seem to care for the students but she is one of the most crabbiest professors i have ever met. I know she is not here to be our friend-but it would make the classroom so much more inviting if she would smile more.
I really did not like her. She makes the class sound like its going to be a life changing expierience. She is full of herself. The projects she gives don't count towards your grade. The final project is a hard and the tests cover a lot of material. She is always cranky and doesnt look up while giving notes. I would not recommend her.
Dont take this course unless you want to take the chance of getting "fired" in front of the class like it was donald trump in the Apprentice. She treats each class like it was an episode of the Apprentice. The final project has classmates turning on each other in order to make themselves look good, like in the Apprentice. Too much work for 3 creds
very good teacher in class, but assignments are vague and aren't explained enough in class or the material on the exams enough. It can leave students unaware of what is expected. Go into the class if you are a good writer and are good at guessing what a teacher wants.

As another posted, she turns each class into an Apprentice episode. But I had her 8 years ago and she did this. Though a nice person in out of class encounters, very flaky instructing and about what is expected in class. She almost always tries to overwork 1 person in her randomly assigned groups, saw it each semester for 3 years.
Don't be late, or she will embarass you. Lot of group work. Study the book. She means well but creates unneeded stress.
Intro Biz and Society. Too much work, too little time. Unlimited extra credit. Easy grader (so it balances out). BORING CLASS too much commentary. She tries to "prepare" you for the college world and the real world, thanks but please just teach the class. This is a required class though, and she's your best bet. (the other prof are worse!)
One of Ramapo College's best instructors. A role model with lots of experience in the real world as well as teaching. So straightforward and caring for students that some may not know she is the real thing. You'll learn about the real world and how to ace it.
Awesome prof. The one to take for Management. Puts alot into the class. Really teaches; wants you to really learn and even makes it fun. Brings real world in - has been there, and knows her stuff. Loves to teach. Has won about every award there is.
Finally, a course that taught me what I needed to know and could use. My employer's evaluation of me improved, and I got a new and better job using what I learned from Prof. Eisner. I was drifting until this course. Her know-how and caring motivated me and got me back on track. If you want to learn, she's the professor for you.

Can't wait to take her again in the fall. Respects and teaches us at college, not HS, level. Prepares us for future. The first we turn to with any Q. She's always there for us, actually knows what she's talking about, and is glad to help. I transferred from a gut school cuz I went to learn. If you want to be taught by a college prof., she's it.
The best.
I liked her use of testing using essay answers. She encouraged class discussion and required students to practice public speaking.
Taking her class tho don't need to cuz can't imagine semester without her for a prof. What she teaches, I take.

I've taken four classes with her so far. She's an amazingly smart person and I've learned more about management than I have from the rest of the ASB combined. Her tests are averagely hard, and the final project is deathly tough, but it probably prepares you for Grad school. Definitely take a class with her!
She models professionalism, fairness, and caring for all. Best is she can see through those faking it or dumping on others, favors all equally, and will make whatever time it takes to listen and help. Will take whatever course she teaches.
Was on probation when first took her. Took everything she teaches since. Am about to graduate. Wouldn't have made it wo her.
worst teacher i've ever had. sits in front of the class and babbles at 8 a.m. makes you do unnecessary work that is annoying for just "participation". final project is long and drawn out. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS.
I dont understand why everyone puts that she's hard...if you actually pay attention in class and do the four gradeded assignments you are sure to do well in her class...she tries so hard to make you understand the subject...my only complaint is most of your work is done in group projects so avoid her if you like working individually better
She sits at her desk and talks the entire time. She's really boring and goes on for 1.5 hrs about something she could've explained well in 15 mins. A lot of group work. Expects you to be at her level. Not my cup of tea. Take Industrial Organizational Psych with Dr.Taylor.. much better!
Nice women, was kind to me when I thought she would chew my out. If I could do it over- I'd put a LOT more into her class! I would have also tried to get to know her better. It's all who you know after u graduate. Unfortunatly, the semester I had her, I was having personal problems. Just thnkng about day to day, not my career after I graduate.
Easiest grade I have had so far, she outlines what she expects you to do in projects, tests, etc. Work is very challenging but if you do what she says guaranteed good grade. Stickler for attendance and participation.
I cant honestly understand why anyone would write great things about this professor, she sits at her desk & talks the entire time making it impossible to pay attention. You can never catch up in her class because she just continues to give pointless assignments & papers all at the same time & on top of one another. tests are incredible hard. AVOID
I have heard rumors that this professor rates herself on this site. I am currently a junior bus. major now with over a 3.4 GPA and I can honestly say that my BUS101 with Eisner (which is intro to bus) was my hardest class at ramapo college. Her 100 level intro course is harder than most 300 level courses you have to take.... I wish i was kidding.
Business Communication with her this summer saved me; finally have career direction, plan, and tools.
shes nice and teaches things you need to know. Take her
i liked this professor. if she likes you, you have it really good. if you do something stupid thats going to piss her off then you're not so lucky. she genuinely wants you to learn and gives you so many resources to help you. just be ready to take alot of notes and if youre not a jerk youll have a good experience.
If you are considering taking her early in the morning for 3 hours, DON'T. It is a battle to stay awake. Her lecture method is simply sitting there and talking softly. The work load is enormous and mostly done in groups. She is a nice lady 1 on 1 but overall the class was unbearable. I won't take a class she teaches ever again.
I'm surprised Eisner has not given herself a hot pepper on here too. The bad reviews are pretty spot on. She assigns endless busy work and her class is of little or no substance. As for class time, she speaks off the top of her head all class and expects you to write every word she says as if its gospel. Avoid.
Honestly the class is difficult. There is a ton of work you have to do and it's tedious. She checks homework and gets very angry if it isn't completed. Offers a lot of extra credit though. Attendance is strict. Overall if you don't mind hard work, and are interested in EAM then this isn't a terrible class. You will learn a lot. Shes a bit scary tho
This lady is nuts! She gives A LOT of silly, meaningless homework writing assignments. The class consists of her talking the entire time behind her desk. She can be very rude at times - she talks to students like we're in high school! AVOID!
Currently, I am taking her for Interpersonal Workplace Skills. She is intimidating. A lot of group work and homework. The work is easy, though. The information you learn can be used in life. You learn to look at things in a different way. But the amount of work is pointless to the type of class this is, it's unnecessary.
im taking her interpersonaly workplace skills class now. first of all, she gives endless amounts of rediculous chapter homework thats not really hard but really time consuming and unnecessary. she gives you an attitude if you ask a question about what's already posted on luminus. she's nice-ish and i like the group work but i wouldnt take her again
Do not recommend taking her! She gives a lot of attitude for no reason. DO NOT ever take her classes back to back, she gets confused with work assigned. The work is tedious and easy but her grading criteria doesn't make sense! She makes it difficult to want to come to class!
I don't recommend taking her, if you work and take more than 3 classes. Assignments are confusing, the work is tedious and makes it more difficult than it seems. She thinks that students at Ramapo only takes her class. You do learn a good amount of things and gives a lot of extra credit.
If you do the work and actually study, you will be fine. She might be one of the toughest professors but she tries to motivate you to do your best. If you need someone to bring you back to reality as to what college is supposed to be, she is it.
Self-development is essential to leadership. This class has a lot of homework which needs to be completed to participate in class. If you want to improve yourself, you will get a lot out of this class. If you are hoping to skate by, you will be miserable in this class. The choice is yours.
Worst Professor Ever, you cannot avoid if you are a management major but avoid her electives if you can.
She is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Talks down to students, gives an unnecessary amount of work. She gives extra credit but its not worth it because the assignments are extremely long and detailed and you will only get 1-2 points. Unavoidable as a MGMT major but I'm trying to never take her again. Completely horrible person!
I had her almost 8 years ago, and the reason I didn't like her largely comes down to her style and personality. There is a lot of busy work that was non-essential to my education back then and has been little to no contribution to my life today in my career where I've advanced many times over with excellent evaluations by my team and clients.
Susan Eisner is a ted talk gone wrong. She attempts to be inspirational, but more than that she attempts to persuade you to be a corporate drone. Her material offers no educational value, and all of her courses are the same material. No facts are learned, just bits of videos you need to memorize.
Although the course load may be a bit heavy, Eisner truly cares about her students and their success in life. She takes students actions very seriously and gets offended if you show up late to class. Just do the work and you'll get an A
I love professor Eisner! As long as you follow her directions, pay attention, and watch the videos/ read the articles she posts, then the class is super easy! I really enjoy hearing her lectures and you truly learn a lot in her class. She gives many extra credit opportunities and is very prompt and specific when answering emails.
Easy class but unbelievably boring. Doesn't actually teach anything; she just makes you read the textbook (which I never even opened bc its unnecessary) and assigns articles/videos. Class sessions are useless and just sound like a motivational ted talk, but you have to attend for participation. Assignments are simple but grading criteria is vague.
If you can avoid this class, you definitely should avoid them. She is a smart individual and nice but her teaching style should not be for senior level students. The classes give you no educational value what so ever as it feels like I am in middle school. Nothing is learned besides she is very strict on participation and attendance and grading.
I had Eisner before the pandemic and during and they are very different classes. Before the pandemic, I had her for leadership and I felt the structure of the class was better suited for learning and being inspirational. During (mgmt306) its basically useless in class critiquing that takes the whole class. For mgmt303 its better, but not learning.
She may be respected but teaching isnt her strength. The class is mainly self help Ted talks to watch at home and her asking the class what they learned during the whole class period so she can make fun of the students one by one for not being her. After that she asks the class one by one what did they learn from that. Very ironic considering 306.
The worst. I would rather take anyone else other than this woman. One of the worst professors at Ramapo. Her reports are so lengthy and she gives very little time to complete things. Directions are never clear and she insults her students.
Her canvas page is extremely confusing/messy, filled with articles and videos you do not have to read/watch; she assigns unnecessary assignments that do not get graded but gives little to no information on the assignments that are. Her lectures are simply just Ted Talks where she asks the class their lesson learned from that lecture.
This class was asynchronous. Instructions are long, drawn out, with messy formats. Not direct and to the point. This is a "filler" class containing outdated ideologies with no real takeaway. This class is unavoidable, and I recommend you take it after a summer session with a lighter course load.
Professor Eisner will not deceive you. She sets expectations and expects you meet them. I did not meet them. And she went out of her way to have a meeting with me and help me. She was the best college professor I had at Ramapo. Just because her classes are hard does not mean they are not worth while. Would recommend to anyone with a work ethic.
She tries to be an inspiration but fails massively. Her mental & physical capabilities are deteriorating. It shows. Her Canvas page is horrifically unorganized and scattered. She gives out worksheets from the 90's. Some older professors have been able to adjust to the times, but she is clearly incapable. She's very out of touch & needs to retire.
Extremely lecture heavy, will go off on rants! Basically a Ted Talk after the time. Be ready for lots of assignments to do that are not even worth anything, graded, or checked at times. Graded work was 3 big projects, 1 memo report, and participation! Only good thing is that she provides extra credit, put still gives low grades on it.
Though tough, Professor Eisner is a great professor to fully engage in class with. Putting full effort forwards matters in this class as there is always something due for the next class and something to read for it as well. Overall, she has helped me become a better time manager and more prepared. Emphasis on the tough.
This was an online course and I found the outline of her module so disorganized. She grades you by a few things as there were no exams, and there were reports to do with your assigned group members. She's very picky when grading, but as long as you work with your group members, it will be fine.
It has a very disorganized syllabus with too many specifications that are unnecessary for a simple understanding. Her way of grading has no specifications, she simply qualifies as she sees fit. Hybrid classes are the worst since you do unnecessary homework that will not be reviewed or graded.
Has no idea what shes doing anymore
Overly complicated, pretty useless work. Syllabus is hard to understand, does not grade anything but around 3 individual assignments and some group assignments that are worth your whole grade. Not good.
Graded strictly on 4 assignments, all over 20% of your grade. The most confusing syllabus I have ever seen. Two modules a week, usually with 10+ attachments. She is not willing to re-explain any of the assignments as she feels "instructions are clear." DO NOT take her for any electives, only leadership since it is required for management major.
4 big assignments, can be confusing but doable
The class was disorganized, with a confusing syllabus and unclear grading criteria. Assignments were lengthy and unhelpful. While the professor tries to be inspirational, the course content felt outdated. I'd recommend using unstuckstudy for study prep to make the most of this class.
This professors syllabus is very disorganized. She is not that nice of a person and she will criticize you in front of everybody! Good luck trying to figure out her canvas because its a mess.
DON'T TAKE! Extreme amounts of work. Extreme amounts of reading. Her canvas and syllabus has so much that you will get lost trying to figure out what is what. I emailed multiple times trying to get clarity on assignments and she said all directions were clearly listed. Overall just a very frustrating professor to deal with.
Only review I'll give so you know it's bad. DO NOT TAKE. Listen, I've had some bad profs at 'Po but it wasn't bad enough to write a review but holy cow Prof. Eisner really does it. Listen, I am NOT one of the slacker students who gets mad at a prof for a bad grade when they did not put effort in. Straight A student and this was the trenches. AVOID.
