Ms. Grody is hands down the best math teach on the North Campus. Her class is challenging as all math classes are, but she is extremely helpful and if you try you will pass guaranteed. Tests are straight forward and she will never try to trick you

great teacher.until her i was never able to solve word problems. She once agreed to meet me at the lab once for about 20minutes to help me out with word problems.the only teacher in the entire school who was willing to help outside of her time schedule.take notes,come to class, do the work.dont be scared to ask her a question. she will re-explain.

I hated math until i took Susan Grody . I took this class with another professor and failed every test. When I met(Prof. Grody she really took her time to help me I love her to death.I would recommend her for any type of math as long as she 's the teacher.

I was terrified coming into this class again this semester. After failing it the first time, I thought I would have to change my major. Then, I heard about Mrs. Grody and am extremely happy I did!! She is the BEST professor for this course and has helped me tremendously in doing well, I actually like the class now! She wants you to succeed!!

Excellent teacher. Very knowledgeable in her field and very easy to understand. I held out in taking MAC2312 a semester just so I could get her as my professor again. I had her sister Mrs. Heinrich and I didn't think she was half the teacher that Mrs. Grody is.

Greatest teacher ever! math is one of the hardest subjects to comprehend, and she makes it easy! you do have to study though in order to do well on the tests. i took mac1105 with her and am going to take mac1140 with her next semester. i feel confident in her teaching abilities. I strongly suggest you take any math class with this teacher.

Cal 2, Extremely hard teacher! she gives no breaks! Quiz every week! force to study 24/7 to do well. Half of class end up dropping. Definitely not an easy A, never again. If you are looking for good grades and are science majors, this class will take up all your time!

Hard tests, hard course.

One of the best at BCC North! Excellent teaching ability and also a nice person. You will have to work hard in this class, there is no way around that. Prof. Grody explains the material in a clear manner and is always available to help her students. She is organized and returns tests/quizzes quickly. I strongly recommend her!

Prof. Grody is a wonderful teacher. She has mastered her subject and is very helpful in answering questions. The tests are long and can be hard, but she is a lenient grader and gives partial credit where it's due. I enjoyed her Cal II class immensely, as tough as it was sometimes.

Shes a good teacher. Quizes are given right as class starts, so dont be late. She's very helpful, you can find her in her office or in the math lab. Go to the math lab, get the extra points, they really can make a difference.

Great teacher. This was My third attempt at college alg and with her teaching I FINALLY passed it. she makes it easy and helps you learn with little tricks and tips. Of course there are the formulas and having to work the problems out too, but the tips and tricks make it soooo much easier

She is one of my favorite teachers! She won't tolerate side conversations, which I like about her. Tests are NOT multiple choice, but she teaches you everything you will need to know. I took her for MAT0024 and enjoyed her so much I had to take her for MAC1105. I highly reccomend her.

This teacher is a must take. She is extremely clear, organized, and helpful. She is truly the best math teacher I've had my entire life! I hated math and now i feel interested and very satisfied with my grade. There are 5 tests drop one. 10 my math labs which are helpful and count as a test grade. 15 quizzes, drop 5 lowest. She has really been a great help during the time I was in her class. She understood any issues I had and was a good help when I had any problems. I took this teacher in the Winter 2010 semester and was very dissapointed when I was unable to take her again for MAT1033. Professor Grody is very organized and I could not think of a better teaching style than hers. I am pleased to start MAC1105 tomorrow with her. I truly believe Professor Grody is an asset for BC; she's an excellent teacher.

Here's how it is - straight up. If you are someone who is not willing to put effort into any class you will not do as great. Professor Grody on a scale from 1 to 5 she's a TEN. Her teaching style is clear and precise always straight forward. I took her twice and never has she disappointed me. Highly recommend her for any level in math.

Professor Grody is on of the BEST college algebra professors at north campus. Shes very helpful and breaks every problem and example on the board. Attendance mandatory but she is very down to earth and trust me you will actually be excited to learn and you actually will!! I LOVE her!

I set the easiness to low because many need to work hard in order to pass! Study guides and quizzes are given but practice problems/homework every night makes all the difference. Plus, my class was her first Calc class on MyMathLabs and she did ALL of the problems before she assigned them to make sure the lesson coincided perfectly with her lessons! What teacher DOES that? I took her for college algebra and I passed her class. I took her for calc and I failed. She does go fast. Her study reviews are horrible,she even says that they are not the best. Doesn't give extra credit. She isn't a bad teacher, but she isn't an easy teacher. You have a lot of hw and studying to do. Don't take her if you have a busy schedule.

Professor Grody is awesome! Don't skip class, as she does give quizzes every class; do the homework before you go, as the questions are from there. She gives partial credit on quizzes and tests and is generally just a very nice person. I enjoyed being in her class, as she is very organized and clear cut.

You do not need a textbook, but you need a MyLabs code. Homework is quick and easy as long as you understand the concept from class. 5 tests and 1 final, very easy, just review.

Prof Susan is the best. She is very patient and kind. Her explanations are very clear and she never asks you something that she didn't teach on tests. Exams are easy and she gives extra credit. She also gives quizzes every class, but are just one exercise and sometimes she gives you free 10 points. You also have to do some hw in mylabsplus.

Prof. Grody was very helpful, she did not make the tests out to be difficult she actually set them up for the majority of the problems to be what we actually went over during class. The final was not mandatory you could take it to replace your lowest test score. Quizzes every day before class they're easy.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had which led to me doing surprisingly well in math this semester! She gives a short quiz every start of class but its basically a review of the last class. Tests are decent, puts a study guide online, posts powerpoints, available for help. Not too much homework. Final's grade can take place of lowest test.

Best math prof. She knows her stuff, and makes the subject easy with multiple examples. There's a daily quiz with a question or two that is similar to the homework and the examples she gave in last class. Drops the lowest four. Tests are extremely similar to (and sometimes EXACT problems from)the homework and her test review, so study them closely.

NEED A COLLEGE ALGEBRA CLASS? WANT A GOOD PROFESSOR THAT EXPLAINS EASILY? She is the perfect for you. she gives every day quiz (which at the end she drops the lowest 4), 5 test and a final (if any of the test is lower than the final, it gets replaced by the grade of the final). Besides that she is funny and explains easy.

Professor Grody is a great teacher. She tries to help as much as possible. There are quizzes each class but they are relatively easy and plus she drops like four quizzes. The final isn't necessary for one to take if you're content with your grade. Take Her you won't regret it.

If you hope that there isn't any work that you're going to have to outside of class for this work then you're partly right, but that's only because you are going to have to really cram it in while Susan teaches you. Asking questions and glancing at the power points that she provides are your best friend, but besides that she's pretty standard.

Prof. Grody is an AMAZING calculus teacher! She really cares about her students and wants to help everyone fully understand every concept. There are daily quizzes and you have a HW assignment due every class, but you definitely earn your grade. Calculus was a breeze with her. PLEASE choose her, you won't regret it!

I took professor Grody during a pandemic. She made switching the class to online so easy and was very caring and respectful. There was a quiz every class but it's very helpful for test and at the end of the semester she dropped the 4 lowest quiz grades. I'll be taking her again for Business calc. :) Hand down, best math professor I've ever had.

Calc 2 meets 4 days per week, which makes classes easier, even though material is difficult. She's patient with students and makes material easier to understand. A lot of different grading criteria, 1 or 2 bad grades won't ruin your chances of finishing the class. Quiz everyday, homework almost everyday, weekend quiz. It's needed to absorb Calc 2.

I loved her lectures, she knows what she is presenting and know her materials. There is a lot of work to do in this class, but if you manage your time correctly you can do it. I didn't have any problems with the exams, but I did all the homework provided to be prepared to the test. Don't be afraid to take her if you like math, I loved this class.

At first bad reviews worried me but she's a great teacher, material was easy & she really tries to help you, she gives credit even for wrong answers. theres quiz every class & before each class but it really helps you learn/practice & she drops 4 in class and pre class quizzes & the final replaces lowest test grade & everything is weighted the same

Good class and professor. There is constant work to do such as daily quizzes and homework but they help to prepare you for tests. She does in-class test reviews and has review sheets posted. If you use the resources available to you, keep reviewing the material, and study then you'll do fine. I was nervous about this class but finished with an A.

Professor Grody is the best math teacher I've had in my entire life and I am not exaggerating. Attend class, you seriously need to to pass. That being said she made every accessible for the student, and her daily quizzes are for your benefit, not hers. Take this class and don't shunt the work. She drops a lot of bad grades at the end of the course.

Professor Grody is a great professor! I took her spring semester, and although there are quizzes in every class, you will do fine if you finish the work assigned and attend classes. I was out of town for two weeks, and Professor Grody was a very accommodating teacher! I DEFINITELY recommend her!!!

Wonderful teacher for Calculus 2, she makes one of the hardest parts of Calculus feel like a cake walk. She's a wonderful lecturer and she genuinely cares about her students. Her lectures are extremely easy to follow, and she's a very good grader. Just show up, do your homework, and study.

As someone who dislikes math, Prof Grody has been one of the best math teachers I've had. To fully succeed in this class, you MUST attend every lecture and do EVERY homework. There are short quizzes at the beginning of every class day, but if you pay attention to the lectures and do the homework assigned, it is really easy.

As long as you do your work you should be fine. There are about 4 hw assignments due per week with around 20-30 questions each, and all tests are due Saturday + a review quiz. The workload is pretty heavy, and the tests are difficult. It's a tough class, but the professor herself is very nice.

The class is difficult. Professor gave extra credit opportunity to everyone. Also opened all review assignments before the final test to help study for the final. You have to put in the work or you will get a bad grade. The professor is very kind & answers all emails very quickly.

Professor Grody's MAC2233 class moves at a brisk pace, but she's a fantastic instructor. Consistent work, like quizzes and homework, really helps you stay on top of the material. Unstuck study is a great study tool alongside the resources she provides.

THIS IS THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR OUT THERE. I am terrible at math and I was very scared for Calc but she was so kind and always answered my questions and slowed down if needed. There is quiz every day warning You must show up. She does drop a few of your worst, so if you miss a day or bomb she'll toss em. She is an interesting women and made in laugh alot i dont think on purpose half the time though. I think she is Excellent at teaching. She will give extra help as much as you need in office hours or after class.

As someone who hates math she makes the course very easy to understand. There are 4 discussions and 4 projects (based on math topics can make a power point or write a report overall projects are easy to do) What's on the homework you see on the test (7 test total). Overall great professor.

This professor was so sweet and answered emails quickly. Very caring and the class was super easy, definitely a manageable course load and schedule.
