She never fakes her way through things. She'll tell you what she doesn't know and will always follow up the next day with explanations. I like both her honesty and the fact that she is reachable outside of class. She gives nice reviews with fair tests.

Mrs Grunlund is the best math teacher i ever had. If you actually DO your work, you'll get an A. She's not a teacher that u can breeze by, but she'll teach you everything you need to know and will prepare you for your next course. Shes also very clear and helpful.

Susan is a great math teacher. Very easy, i even missed class sometimes and was able to catch up very easily. No homework, and spends a lot of time on each lesson, so if math isn't your best subject she is very helpful. I'd reccommend her.

This teacher really wants her students to succeed. This class is 'refresher' math, and she teaches it that way - teaching the reason behind the formulas so you'll have a good foundation. If you come to class and crack your book open once in awhile, you'll do well. The tests are fair and she gives partial points even on wrong answers. No homework.

She's SO into math, and her enthusiasim is kinda funny, but makes for a really productive enviroment for learning it. She'll only recommend leaving the class if she's already worked with you for a bit and realizes you need a bit more work with the basics first. For some, she recommended testing out and moving ahead. She's honest.

This teacher knows her stuff. She is so passionate about math that it is funny. Show up to class and do the homework and she will be very kind. If you don’t she can get cranky. She is reasonable, down to earth, and prompt. I wish that some things were explained better though, some students ask for help and she just tells them to go to the math lab.

Very good. She explains things clearly, and if you're lost, TELL HER. She'll work to help you understand. She's a little weird, on the personality side, but she explains things really well. She also assigns no homework, which is really nice, just be sure to take notes in class!

She is one of the best teachers i have ever had in math. if you do not understand she will help you thourghly. she is alot of fun. also if your grades are low...she will then throw out extra credit assignments..because she believes in everyone...she wants to see students succeed, not fail...=0)~

She's great! Very cheery-tries to make calc fun! She encourages everyone-and believes in everyone! VERY POSITIVE TEACHER! She relates to her students and is there to help if you ever need it! Very relaxed classroom environment! Made calc bearable because it isn't easy! If you put in an effort, she'll help you all quarter! Highly recommended!

She explains things with enthusiasm and high expectations of each student. She built an atmosphere allowing students to become a tight group of friends that could help each other out. Her style is a bit like grade-school, but the older I get, the more I like that again. ;-) It seems odd that I barely passed math as a kid, and now I excel at it.

This lady is HILARIOUS. She is a fabulous teacher. She makes dorky little quotes and makes class fun. She always checks with the class what they're familiar with before she writes a test (even the final). Goes a little fast with notes, but is completely flexible with time. Skips over stuff that is too hard or too much work. :)

AMAZING TEACHER! She is so helpful! took this class over summer. no graded Hmwk only in class activities and tests. She was SUPER helpful. Math is the worst subject for me and she REALLY helped me. I felt pretty stupid for being in the class but she made it funny rather than depressing.

Very helpful teacher that's willing to go the extra mile in order to help you! I am terrible at math and she would joke around about it and make me much more comfortable with my level of learning. Her tests aren't horribly hard and she does a lot of review work before. Take this teacher!

Susan is an awesome teacher, period. Class begins the second she walks in. She relies almost entirely on the textbook, using example problems in class. She is very lenient on partial credit on her tests. Very helpful but can come off as a little abrupt sometimes. Ultimately, she wants her students to succeed. Been teaching for many years at BCC.

Gronlund is good, however, she sometimes moves through the material a little quickly in class making it difficult to follow, but is very helpful and will give you extra time on quizzes, tests, or other questions you may have.

The class was easy. However, the instructor goes through stuff quick sometimes and it is hard to follow. She has no homework assignments, but small worksheets. I rather due homework for points and learn then those worksheets, because you have to practice anyway. Sometimes, it was boring. She is ok overall.

She's a little quirky, but very nice. She tries to help in every way she can. She can talk fast sometimes. She explains how to do things a couple different ways. It can be confusing if you're not aware of this.

You have to make susan love you that means try hard to study and make good relationship with her and be nice. She's very encouraging and extremely accommodating when it comes to those who actually tries to learn! I love her and I usually suck at math but I did great!

I promise you that Susan is one of the key reasons as to why I passed math this year. Math usually isn't my strong point, but with her sense of humor, and ease in explaining things I think I am ending this quarter with a B or higher! Doesn't collect homework, puts responsibility on the student to learn the material but overall she's great :)

She is super easy, enthusiastic, and wants you to get it. She works straight out of the book, gives 5 question worksheets to give extra credit. Encourages question in class. Only down side it that towards the end of the quarter she started to go quickly through the lessons, and she kind of over explained things which could be confusing at times.

If you like a slow, clear, and accurate teacher, this is the teacher for you. Also, she is very patient and will make sure you understand the material. If you have test anxiety, don't worry, she will allow you extra time if you need. Definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had! She is worth it!

Susan is one of the best math teachers that I have had. She goes through the material quickly, but her lectures are very clear. I found it very helpful to come to class after having read the text because her lessons clarified certain things that the text didn't address. Also, she is considerate of others' schedules and doesn't assign too much h.w.

She's okay. She doesn't give many tests so every point is worth a lot. Her tests are based solely off the types of problems in the textbook so there aren't any surprise problems you've never seen before. COME TO HER REVIEW DAY befor the test and take good notes, she literally tells you exactly what types of problems to expect on the test.

Tests, it all depends on your knowledge but usually easy. Overall she's an amazing teacher who cares about you and the workload isn't much at all.

Susan is awesome. Very helpful, kind, and understanding. If you do your work you'll do well in the class. You get half a point for showing up, some days she will award more depending on the assignment given that day. If you understand the material, missing a day here and there won't affect you.
