She is a decent teacher. She gives a study guide which is what the test is based on, and she gives extra credit just for showing up to class. I really enjoyed taking her class, and enjoyed getting an A that i didn't have to study to hard for.

soooo easy, she laid everything out clearly. No bs or tricky tests. Plus I actually learned.

I really like Dr. Harris-Mitchell. She is clear and fair. She will give you extra credit, but the class is fairly easy. You will get a lot out of it for minimal effort. The tests are applied but easy.

Everything you need to know is in the study guides which she even goes over (for the most part) in class. If you pay attention you dont even need to read the book.

All of her a exam questions come from examples that she specifically says in class. There are bonus questions on every test and extra credit projects offered.

Dr. Harris is an excellent professor- She knows what she is talking about and is humerous in her teaching. She is helpful and makes sure everyone understands what they are to study and gives ample time to do so... She is a professor that you MUST take!

shes funny and really easy if u pay attention... there is barely any homework and u ask questions in class if u dont understand something so u dont really have to read the book if u dont wont too, i barely did. A LOT of extra credit opportunities!!!! definately makes it easy for u to get an A!!!

I loved this class & the teacher as well. Very easy, puts the study guides online & goes over them in class, you have to look up some in book, but not many. Tests are right from the study guide or examples from class. She has lots of extra credit oppurtunities, is very understanding. Pay attention in class, fill out study guide and you'll be fine.

If you don't make an A, you didn't deserve one because she tells you EVERYTHING that is going to be on the tests and gives lots of extra credit. Extremely nice and funny. I learned a lot. Covered most of textbook.

I don't understand why there were frowns for her, she was a very predictable teacher, all the things the tests are on are reviewed in class WITH the study guide she gives, AND is also in the text if you actually read. I took all the ex.credit which was 23 pts, which is generous! She gave our class 10 pts. if you did not miss 6days+.

This class is really, really easy! If you actually read the textbook, you can get an A in her class no problem. She offers a lot of extra credit too! She explains exactly what you need to know on the test and gives the class a study guide. She also offers 6 bonus points on each test. I recommend Dr. Harris-Mitchell!

Right now I am in the middle of the semester and I am seeing that the grade I am getting depends on me much more than on her. She goes over the study guides on class. She was considerate to my situation and is kind. Also, read the book. Her tests are applied ( with examples), but she has offered E.C. on every test so far. But u must study too!!

This class is very easy as long as you do the study guide and are willing to do some memorization. There is an observation study as well that took me a significant amount of time to do. She gives an unreal amount of extra credit on every test. I recommend taking this class.

She's one of the rockin' prof. in COD! It's my 1st time in an American Educ Inst. and got an A. Just study and understand in heart the lessons.. Multiple choice exams were very practical as long as u understand u'll do great. Tons and tons of extra credit pts! And participate in discussions to enjoy!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. Take THIS!

Easy A. study guide for each of 4 tests. Final NOT cumulative. Says to read book, but I never did and got an A. Simply know the study guide and you'll be more than fine. Lots of extra Credit. Took her for psych 2237 too. Minimal effort will get you through. quorkey, boring at times. no more than 6 absences + tardies each =10 extra pts. recommended.

She teaches a very enjoyable class over what could be very dry intro material. Lots of class interaction, uses real-world examples on tests instead of definitions, very straight-forward grading. If you have some hard science/math classes, this is a nice "dessert" class to round it out - not too much effort needed, a lot of fun, good prof.

I am really glad I took her for psych 1100. She is straight forward and to the point, and wants to make sure all of her students understand. Lots of extra credit, gives you study guides for the test. Its important to read the book though. A lot of information is in there that can help you for the tests.

Life Span with Mitchell, was awesome! I had her in the summer,and there's no regret at all. I would recommend taking her over the summer, instead of the semester. Less work, thats why! Best professor Ive had at COD hands down. Out of all professors Ive had she is the best. I wish I could take psych 1100 again just to have her as a professor. Unfortunately she does not teach other classes that I need. Shes excellent. Take her you will not regret it.

Loved her, super easy. Study guide before every test as well as review day prior to test. Also gives out a lot f extra credit and NO FINAL!She says "what?" at the end of every sentence whch is annyig but by far easiest teacher ever. TAKE HER!

Easy A if you show up for class and try a bit. Teacher is funny and engaging and relates classwork to real-life events. Too bad she is retiring soon.

Fall 2011: Uses current events to tie in with the material, lots of examples, cares so much about her students. Even if you dread this subject, she will get you to love it.

Took her online course and I couldnt be happier. She is challenging, but very understanding especially when it comes to technical difficulties. If you're going to teach online, you have got to be understanding when it comes to computers having a mind of their own- and she totally does. Thank you.

Loved this class. She wants students to succeed. 4 tests, term paper make up the majority of the points, but you get extra credit for attendance and participation. There are a lot of notes but they're straight out of the book (which you'll definitely need). There are a lot of nursing majors but it's good for psych majors too!

She is funny and teaches so that you understand it. Sometimes she gets off topic, but she is a great teacher. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. I recommend her.

Great class. She gives a lot of extra credit and study guide before each test. You go over study guides in class may have to find some things on your own but other wise the study guides help a ton on the tests. Very clear and helpful too

Overall, she's a decent teacher. I just wish there wasn't as much screw offs in my class. She got distracted by their jokes all the time and couldn't answer any serious questions because they wouldn't shut up. She was a big help though when I came in with a bunch of questions for the final on the optional attendance day when the idiots didn't show.

Beware. She takes attendance on an iPad. Spends the first 5 min of class calling off everyone's name and making them down...this isn't kindergarten. If you frequently miss class, pick a different instructor

Loved her!!!!! All you have to do is fill out and study the study guides and the class is a breeze. She is a ton of help if something is unclear, and her lectures fill out most of the study guide too. Nice lady!

Best teacher I've ever had! Her lectures are very clear always answers any questions you have. Class is fun and tests are easy as long as you study. Tests are all application multiple choice and you can receive up to 6 points extra credit on each test. If you take her class you will not be disappointed!

One really easy but kinda lengthy paper but I got an A just for completion. TONS of extra credit. She is very helpful and her multiple choice exams are easy I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Harris-Mitchell was a great professor! She included videos in her lecture & current life events, which helped break up a long lecture. Overall it was very enjoyable. I attended every class, took lots of notes, & added information to the study guide she provided.. I used that information for every test & did very well.
