in my opinion, she made the class as fun and interesting as it could possibly be. if you take good notes, not much extra effort is required to get A's on tests. very clear, very concise, very helpful and pleasant.

Had her winter 03, she was really laid back, exams were kind of tough, but take lots of notes if you want to get at least a 3.0 in the class. She can relate to anyone of the students problems. She was worth taking, again.

Great online course, the syllabus could use some work, but Susan is very helpful and answers all your questions. She also has class time before tests so you can get questions answered. Tests are hard because some answers are open to interpretation, but the rest of the work is very straight forward,easy to follow. Open book quizes. Highly recommend!

Susan made me enjoy learning about Psych. I would love to have her again in more Psych classes. I took the internet course and was sad that I didn't have more face to face discussions because she was very informative and gave great examples that helped me remember things on the test.

I enjoyed her class very much. She's got some good stories from being in the field. I'm not sure if she's still doing it since I took her some years ago, but we did have a group presentation to make.

She is a very good teacher! She keeps the class interesting. It is fairly easy, although i do recommend attending classes because if you don't you miss a lot of important information and your grade will suffer.

AMAZING TEACHER!! I had abnormal psych with her and she made class really fun and interesting!! I hadn't even taken general psych yet, but she let me stay in the class because I knew so much already about psych. TAKE THIS TEACHER!! I got a B+ in the class, would have been an A but my partner for the group project flaked out and i couldn't present.

Great teacher! She uses examples that make her lectures amusing and easier to understand. She's funny and upbeat. Exams are multiple choice with 3 easy essay questions. She gives home work but it's easy, and she goes over it the next class so you understand. I definitley recommend her.

Excellent instructor. If you are interested in psychology, or even if you aren't, Susan keeps the class lively and interesting. If you put forth effort and do the relatively easy work for the class, it's easy. With a vested interest in the topic and a passion for both psychology and teaching, Susan does an amazing job of teaching to any student.

She took genuine interest in each student with positive personal feedback at every step. She was beyond helpful by meeting with me 1-on-1 to help plan future classes, as well.

Great teacher, pretty easy class if you follow the syllabus. She lays everything out very clear and helps with anything. Grades easy and can retake quizzes. Would highly reccomend for psych class, fun class and learned without stressing over too much work! Took online and is easy as can be, quiz, d/b, n paper each week but easy!!!

Took class online-really enjoyed it. She is a great teacher, very helpful, responds to any email within a few hours. Responds to all discussion boards. There was a lot of work/reading crammed into the short spring semester but it was fairly easy. She was good about being lax on deadlines, w/in a few hrs. Exams a bit hard-definitely need to study!

If you love abnormal psych. as much as I do, I would recommend taking Susan. She is very helpful and the assignments are reasonable. Tests are easy as long as you study for them.

TAKE MS. HARVEY! She really keeps her class interesting and its an easy A if you go to class. Homework is simple and we watched videos all the time that really helped you understand the material. Plus its an interesting subject.

She makes her classroom a safe place for everyone to participate and share stories. I recommend Harvey for any psych class. She is very clear and tells you exactly what she wants for homework and tests.

I really enjoyed the content of this class. I liked how it flowed really easy and we covered only the necessary information that we will be able to use in the future. I think the assignments were great, interactive, enough per week but not too overwhelming. I also appreciated feedback given after every homework.

I love Susan and I love all of the classes I've had her in! She gives spectacular lectures and even though she can be tough, she's extremely fair. You get what you put in with her and if you work for an A then you'll get one. Tests with her are kind of hard but then again, I'm a bad test taker.

Susan's lectures are very interesting but long. It's straight note taking for the 2 hours of class. She is a fun person & loves class participation. Only a few hw assignments that are easy but worth only 5 points. Tests are hard& are worth 75 pts while all the hw is 5 a piece. Have to do good on tests to get an A. Overall would recommend!

The class itself was very interesting. She will lecture all class but there is a lot of class discussion which made the class fun. Homework assignments and papers were fairly easy. I was not prepared for how hard the exams would be so I would recommend to really study, especially for the first exam. Overall, I learned a lot in this class.

Definitely a great teacher who is truly passionate about psychology! the class discussions are always interesting and can learn a lot. She puts the power points online but going to class is still needed because there's homework almost every class. Tests aren't too bad as long as you study.

Lectures the entire class period but keeps it engaging. Expects you to read the chapter and do the homework before each class, and then covers it in class to ensure you get it. Easy grader on the homework--if you do it, you'll get a 100. The tests are easy--60 multiple choice questions and three half-page essays. I'm taking her again next semester.

She's a really good teacher, you can tell she cares about what she does! The lectures can be a bit boring sometimes but most of the time class flys by. There are a few papers she requires but they are really easy, every test has short answer questions except for the final. Don't bother getting the book, you never use it.

I hate psych but susan really made the class enjoyable for me. I struggled on her tests and she did assign quite a bit of homework. A book is necessary but any psych book will work.

Professor Harvey really goes above and beyond with the way that she helps the students learn the topic at hand. If you have questions, she's really good at emailing you back and gives feedback to the assignments as well as participates in group discussion boards with her responses and providing additional information at times.

Love her teaching style. She really understands psychology well. She always has a good way of explaining things that you might not understand. If the textbook definitions are a little hard to follow, she'll put them in easier terms. I learned so much about psychology in this class, and never realized how much I actually enjoyed this subject.

I took Susan Harvey for both PSY211W and PSY241W. I also plan on taking her Theory of Personality class. She is a lovely individual and a phenomenal teacher. She uses real life examples to illustrate her point and almost all of the homework is like a practical application of how you would treat the client. I always look forward to class.

Susan Harvey is an amazing professor. You can definitely tell that she loves to teach and cares about her students. She also has a very funny and friendly personality! The homework and papers are fun and fairly easy to do, but the tests are a little intense. I studied like a mad man and I still did poorly on one or two of them (Hence the B+).

The tests are difficult, but if you do all of your other work, you should be able to easily get a good grade overall. She does a great job of showing how each section is applicable in real life situations. For a tough subject, she does a great job teaching it. Easily one of the best teachers Delta has to offer.

So supportive, most enthusiastic and emotionally invested teacher I've ever had. The best way to approach her courses is to be active in class. She really appreciates it and will support you in future endeavors if you plan to transfer or attend another college or university. I hope to stay in contact with her for years to come.

She is literally such an incredible teacher. Even the bio part of psych was easy when she simplified it. Just an FYI everything she says write down (a statistic she said on day 1 was on the first test). This isn't a class you can just go to and pass, attendance is necessary for in class work that can't be made up. Wish she taught PSY227

The syllabus covers everything you need to know complete with study guides for each exam. Assignments were easy to do well on as long as you follow the instructions. She gives lots of feedback too. The only thing I got points off on were the four exams. The book covers all the material that are on the exams. Each exam covers a lot of material.

I really enjoyed this class. Homework and papers are graded easily but you definitely need to study for the exams. Take lots of notes- sometimes she'd mention something only once and it'd appear on a test. She's very nice and encouraging and wants you to do well, and is definitely someone to talk to if you want career advice in this field.

She is so nice and will answer any questions you have outside of class. She clearly states everything she expects from you, hard to fail if you attempt all of the work.

I loved my online class with professor Harvey! She gives you the syllabus with all the study guides in the first week so you can plan ahead. My favorite professor I've had so far. Even though it was an online course, she made sure that students understood the material, and gave detailed, personalized feedback on each assignment I had. You can tell she truly cares about her students. The exams aren't difficult if you study, and she offers a lot of preparation material.

All assignments other than exams were basically credit/no credit. Typically one assignment due each day that takes anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Exams were not difficult as long as you read the book. I took the accelerated course and never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Professor Harvey for any psychology course.

I loved Dr. Harvey's class. I took it online, and it was a very manageable workload. Assignments are consistent on due dates, and it's not super difficult if you pay attention. The chapters can be long, but it's not impossible. Overall, it was a super easy class if you put in effort.

Assignments for the week are usually posted on Thursdays for regular weeks, she gives us chapters to read, assignment due on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Her syllabus has very clear directions on what she is looking for. 100% recommend her.

Susan Harvey was a GREAT professor to have! This was my first time taking a college course online and it was a great experience. She had a pretty strict due date policy, but the assignments that she put out were not specifically hard by any means. She gives great input for the assignments and lets you know if you are confusing a topic.

The hardest thing about this class was the exams - there are 4, but if you prepare and take notes, it's not too bad. There isn't a huge project in this class.

I LOVED having Dr. Harvey. You will NOT be disappointed if you have her as a teacher. She's helpful, and her workload is very easy to understand as long as you do the reading and the videos! She's also very good at responding to emails if you have any questions. If you're worried about online courses, you shouldn't be with this class.

Dr. Harvey is so wonderful in and out of class. Her lectures are memorable and informative, she always has interesting/funny examples and videos, I thoroughly enjoyed showing up to her class every time. My class was a little quiet but discussion is encouraged. Tests are on lecture content. Learning/Memory unit gives you some good study tips.

I've taken four of her classes (Intro, Abnormal, Theories of Personality, and Child). She is the greatest professor I've ever had and inspired me to switch my major from History to Psychology. Class was engaging all the time and the homework, papers, and tests were easy but in the good way. I highly recommend taking her classes.
