This class was fun and interesting. The tests are mostly essay, but make sure you hold on to all of your work in that class.
She is a very good teacher. She makes it really clear on what she wants, and gives study guides for all of her tests. I would recomend her to anyone.
Best class ever. Really easy. Grade based on 3 midterms and 3 papers

Professor Bennion is one of the best instructors at Moorpark College. I found the class challenging.
Straightforward class, no surprises. Prof. Bennion is one of the best at Moorpark.
Professor Bennion is a great teacher. She explains her material thoroughly and really knows what she is covering. She always gives study guides for her tests, and if you learn the terms and the essays you will have no problem in her class.
she was really helpful and anytime i wanted to talk to her she didnt care if i had an appointment or not she would still sit down and explain things to me. just make sure you dont mind some feminist talk, and even if you do, shes hott so its cool
Great prof, always available to help. Easy and straightforward tests. She does definitely spout some feminist things from time to time, but this is hardly more than a nuisance (Sorry to you feminists out there). She might beat certain facts into the ground occasionally as well. Overall she's great.
Quality professor. Though the more class u attend the more apparent a slight feminist agenda becomes...not that there is anything wrong with femenism...
Good teacher, fun topics, I defintely enjoyed the class and would recommend.
I love Professor Bennion. She makes the class enjoyable. She grades really fairly. There are a couple of reading assignments and 3-4 tests throughout the semester.
not a fan of this teacher. she really only likes the nerds that sit up front and the brown nosers. but if you pay attention, take notes and kiss up, youll get a good grade. and Always do the homework, she barely looks at it. as long as its at least a page and the chapters summarized u get full credit. all the reading was boring.

she's a great teacher. i wasn't the best student, but she saw my potential. she was lenient when necessary
Very smart teacher. I dont think she really liked me all that much not to say she disliked me but she didnt get to know me all that well. I sat in the back. I dont really like history all that much but I loved this class. She is very smart and knows her stuff. The class could get boring if you didnt do the reading though.
excellent teacher, always provides the information needed for tests, likes participation, shows how events in history affected everyone, including women and slaves, understanding and lenient when needed
Wonderful teacher!! As long as you do the reading and the assignments(which are not that hard), you'll do good in the class. She was helpful at any givin time and she really knows her stuff. Just make sure you participate in class.
She is a pretty cool professor! The material isnt that exciting but it is understandable with a some small study time. She gave a study guide before every test and stuck to it...and even told us what essays were going to be on the test. I got an A-one of the better history professors.
I hate history but her class isn't just about history. It's about things you never would have cared about. She is the best history teacher I have ever had. I was scared to go into her Women in America class because I figured she would be a feminist but she's not! The guys even like the Women's class!
mrs.bennion was really great teaching me. i hated history but im totally into how much women have attributed to america and civil rights. she gives study guides before class. take this class i really enjoyed it
I've taken 6 history classes at Moorpark and hers was the best. I'd very much suggest taking her if you need, or want to take a history class.
I really enjoyed Professor Bennion! THe class was very interesting. Professor Bennion gives you a study guide that is very helpful on the tests. She gives interesting reading assignments and is a great lecturer!
Best teacher ive had at moorpark so far.Intersting lectures you can tell shes very passionate about her subject.Gives study guides before tests and takes the questions straight from it so as long as you do it your fine.Definately an easy A.
great teacher. material covered in the class is interesting. lectures are good. shows a lot of interesting videos on current class topic. tests are very fair. she gives you everything necessary to ace a test. read the book and participate in class and you'll be fine.
she's great- highly recommend

Awesome! Take her if you can. She was so fun and informative!

Liked the class, the tests werent too hard. Being a conservative it was hard to agree with her on pretty much ANYTHING but she got her point across I guess. I wouldnt take her again, but she was a nice lady. Tests: she gives a study guide and picks 6 topics and you have to write a small paragraph on each topic... needs LOTs of detail.
Awesome teacher!
great teacher!!! take notes and pay attentioin in lecture and you will do fine, and tests arent that bad if you study.... you really learn alot in her class
She's a great teacher. She's very down to the point so sometimes she seems like a ****. All her tests are short anwswer essay which sucks, but if you pay attention in class it's no problem.
I know she is hot, but also kind of frazzled. I think she would be better if she had a personal assistant to get her through a class. I must say, I enjoyed her.
great professor...i took this class as a 4 week session and i got an A. as long as you keep up with the reading and very very little homework you are perfectly fine. her study guides helped out so much on the exam and she's willing to help you out if needed. overall i feel she knows her subject well and makes the subject more lively(she tries)
amazingly attractive and good at her job. shes a very fair and good grader. she is very passionate about her subject and teacher. too bad she got married...
Bennion knows her Sh!t, i was in a combined class with History and English and it wasnt hard at all... Shes really clear and a down to earth teacher, doesnt give you work, only like once every few weeks, take minor notes and attend class 90% of the time... she is very lenient and understanding, take th class if you can... NICE BOOTY :)
She is an excellent teacher! I fully reccommend her class! She is really knowledgeable in the subject matter and makes you interested. Her tests are short answer and essay, but she gives out a studyguide and as long as you study off that, it's a piece of cake!!! She was even absent a lot in the beginning but didn't force us to learn quicker.Great!
She is the best history teacher ive had. Her classes arereally interesting. She is a bit anal about grading and attendance and she usually doesnt accept late papers, so going to class is necessary. She tells you exactly what will be on tests. Read the book and show up to class and its an easy A
Loved the teacher, loved the subject. She tends to put in alot of videos in the class.
Have taken two classes with her. She is always interesting and straitforward. Take her for Nat. Am History
She makes history so fun and interesting. Tests are kindof hard but if you study, you'll be ok. Her learning community is really fun.
Professor Kinkella was among my first and remains one of my most well-regarded instructors. In particular, I like her dutiful technique of evaluating the legitimacy of the answers and opinions voiced by her students. Do your reading; however.
I took her for history M12, i worked really hard and my essays were good on her exam, but she downgraded me, girls in the class that wrote barely anything on her essays on her exams got A's, i dunno i think she favors girl, my grade on her midterm she gave me was a "D" then i told her she re-read it and changed it to a "C" i think she grades unfairly!
Great teacher. Loved her classes.
Fantastic teacher and class! Love her!!!
not a bad teacher. Is definately biast toward women! however her notes are very straight forward. As long as you take good notes, you'll do well on the tests. There is not really a lot of busy work and rarely ever homework. She can be moody but overall very good and nice
Professor Kinkella is by far one of my favorites. She makes things very interesting, explains in details, mixes in some good films, and overall is passionate women's history. some struggled in my class but if you do the study guides you'll get an A! & She is NOT a man hater, guys just didn't seem to try as hard in our class.
I was in her American Women class. I felt like everyone in my class was an idiot, the class was so easy and interesting! I missed many classes, had a 0 in participation, never turned in assignments, but used the study guide and got A's on the 3 test and an A in the class. I don't think she was unfair to the boys, if you want to meet girls take it!
Kinkella is the easiest, nicest teacher in the world! Took a learning community with Kinkella and Gillis-Smith, HIST MO7A & ENG MO1A. All test are exactly from the notes so pay attention! Read the books and show up to class and its an easy A. Puts way more terms on the study guide than used on the actual test!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Good class
Short Assignments, Good Study Guides. If you attend class and take notes you can easily get an A out of this class
she was the hardest teacher i ever had. the tests were really hard. it was a lot of memorization. she gave you a study guide with about thirty terms on it and expected you to write an entire paragraph about each and she picked random terms from it as well. she talked extremely fast, i had a hard time keeping up with her. i wouldn't recommend her, b
ut if you do take her, be prepared, she's not easy.
She is really nice and class is interesting. If you go to class and use the study guides its easy A! Recommend
My favorite class at Moorpark. She is really into teaching and helps when you need it.
Makes history interesting. Three tests and short papers.
i wouldn't take her. she's really hard. there's far too much memorization for the tests. the tests are insanely hard and she doesnt base your grade on hardly anything else but how well you do on the tests. avoid her.
She is easy as long as you study for the tests, if you dont do that you are in trouble. Tests are all written, so you have to realy know the information. She makes the class interesting
First time I ever liked a history class. She makes the class interesting. Gives guides for tests.
Best history class I've taken.
I was dreading taking this class and it ended up being my favorite. I think I learned more in her classes than I have in any others. You need to go to class to do well, but I found that the information was presented in an interesting way. I would defiantly take her again! = )
Just go to class and take the notes. Pretty easy if you study the guide she gives you. She not afraid to state her beliefs. She hates republicans. Good teacher, knows her history. I got an A just by studying the guide and doing the few assignments she assigns.
AWESOME teacher! Straight up feminist and proud!! She clears up the definition of feminism and makes us feel empowered from learning Women's history! She's very caring and very helpful. Show up, take notes, read the chapters(or skim)and take the exams. A few assignments but they're easy and only worth around 10-25 pts. That easy. Automatic A
Professor Kinkella is one of Moorpark College's best history instructors. She teaches the subject like a huge story, rather than dulling down the subject even more. The class is easy if you just engage a little in her lectures and review for tests (3 written) she gives you a few key terms(5-8) then essay question on each (thoroughly explain ;])
AMAZING PROFESSOR!take this class for an A. attending class is necessary, notes from lecture are needed. Tests are all writing, 5-8 definitions & choose 1 of 3 essay questions. She is willing to help and is very interesting. +You don't need the book much, and never in class For a 2 hour class about woman's history, I WAS INTERESTED THE WHOLE TIME!
I took her American Women's History class, honestly one of the best history classes i've ever taken. Very straight forward. Barely any homework. 3 written exams (She gives you a study guide before hand) and one short paper. Great Teacher!
She is amazing! Her tests are very easy, quizes are based off of reading. She's very nice, and her class is interesting. I would take another class with her again! And the final is NOT Cumulative.
Wonderful professor! She is very interested in what she is teaching and she makes it interesting for the students. Her class is easy but highly informative. Best history class I have ever taken.
This class is so easy, tests are directly off of the study guides and hardly any out of class work. Kinkella makes it very interesting, she's really nice and extremely well prepared- definetly made the subject more interesting than I expected.
great teacher! i have taken two of her classes and loved them both. as long as you show up to class and pay attention to her lectures you will do great. she uses powerpoints which are very helpful. her lectures are very interesting and she encourages class dicussions. 3 tests, non-cumulative. she gives study guides which are super helpful. Easy A!
Kinkella is a great teacher. She is definitely a liberal and feminist but she keeps an open mind and is extremely intelligent. I wish I would have been able to take more classes from her. Three tests that are composed of short answer questions and one essay.
This teacher is great! I have never been into history before but I found this class very enlightening and enjoyable. Just take all the notes and studying them and you'll be good to go. The tests are all writing but she gives you a study guide that covers what ever is asked. Just make sure to always attend, listen and follow the directions.
My favorite history class ever. If you don't go to class, you will miss content. Gives study guide and some of the info is from lectures. Tests are essays and are easy if you attend class. Easy homework but you need to know the material to pass tests. I learned more about American History in this class than all others combined.
she's liberal feminist Indian lover, but overall you will learn alot from the course. The tests are easy if you pay attention in class and skim the book readings she assigns
She is a great professor! She really knows history and knows what she is talking about. You will learn a lot. There are 3 exams and they are OK (not too hard and not too easy). Attendance is a MUST because the class notes will be on the exam. She also gives study guides and its very helpful. There is some HW - very easy but overall a great class!
Susan Kinkella is my favorite history professor! I've taken two history courses that were taught by her. Her enthusiasm for the subject makes each class more enjoyable. Contrary to popular belief about Women's History professors, she is not a radical feminist nor a man-hater. You will enjoy this class! No homework, easy tests, easy final.
Passionate about what she does. A great teacher for anyone who is into history.
Originally, I was not interested in history at all. Prof Kinkella made me learn more about history than I hever had before. Tests are reasonable, not difficult not too easy. Does assign occassional homework, nothing crazy. She's nice and makes her lessons easy to follow and keep up with!
Full-time dedicated professor. Comes off very nice and seems like she'll offer to help. When you ask for help she tells you to go read the book and wont help. Her tests are pretty much english essays and she grades your english and grammar very thoroughly so even if you think your'e good and english, according to her you're not.
loved this class! hated history before but she makes it super interesting. make sure you come to class and TAKE NOTES! quizzes and tests are really easy if you pay attention in class. would def take another class by kinkella!
Good teacher,@times hard to know exactly what to focus on, but enjoyed the class. Total of 4 tests non cumulative. She picks the combo of multi-choice scantron, essay, short answer, and ID terms on each test. Does fun&easy in-class assignments for extra points/gives Extra Credit assignments. 1 quiz based off a hand out, & lets u read from it!
I've never liked a history class before Native American studies. This class has really changed my way of thinking. She presents the material in an easy to understand way, and treats her students well. Her knowledge is extensive, and I've learned a lot. The one thing is that she doesn't always go in chronological order. Take this class and teacher!
She loves this subject. Her lectures are overall okay, but she is the most unhelpful teacher you will ever meet. I got an A but I would never take her again, comes across as nice but just expects everyone to figure it out for yourself. Is always late to class.
Great teacher and a great clas.
Her knowledge is extensive. She is a great teacher and really funny. My advice to you is just to know your stuff because on the essays she is looking for clarity and specifics. There is a lot of information covered on each test so you have to keep up with. Just be prepared and have fun! I learned a lot!
This class is fun and interesting Native American History. Mrs Kinkella is a good teacher. You must study and pay attention in order to pass. I recommend this class. She's super cool and her husband also helps teach her class. He's cool too.
Professor Kinkella is very passionate about women's history. I'm not much of a history person but I found the class very intersting. She's pretty thorough with the material and mixes in some good films. Barely any hw, 2 tests and a NON cumulative final! Do the study guides and study them and you'll do great.
Very interesting subject and you could see her passion for it. She talked a little too fast for my pace and her study guides didn't really narrow anything down at all. I got an A but barely and I never really studied. But I don't regret taking the class because I learned a lot
really nice, fun, helpful. some lectures got stagnant but they were always interesting and she knows what she's talking about. go to class, pay attention, listen. there was a bit of homework, not much, and a few light reading assignments from the text. she was strict a bit but it was for the better. do this and you'll have fun and learn, easy A!
She is extremely passionate about history and makes her lectures interesting. Incorporates videos to make the material more easily comprehended. Easy class as long as you take notes and show up to class. She does random attendance checks so come every time. Easy A if you put in the effort.
Very nice lady. a bit blunt if i'm to be honest but a very good professor. go to class and don't screw around and you will do fine. she offers study guides and extra credit you have to TRY to fail her.
This class was difficult for me. The powerpoints did help me learn a little bit, but I did more of the learning from the books rather than I did from the powerpoints. The lectures themselves were very informative, but she talks very fast. She's a nice person, but the class itself is challenging. Prepare for detail-heavy tests.
Great class- she makes it interesting and not too hard to do well .
Lectures are interesting and she encourages student participation when appropriate. Many test questions are from the book and were not thoroughly covered in class, so reading is necessary. Many detail-oriented test questions. She provides study guides that were helpful. She presents women's history from a feminist perspective, so be ready for that.
I took her honors womens history class because it was the only one open. Absolutely loved every minute of it and I'm not a big history fan. Easy class when you pay attention to the lectures. Loved it.
Her tests are semi difficult. I had a heavy unit load and didn't study that much and got by with a C. Had I done extra credit or done better on the tests one could skate by with a B. But its not the most thrilling class for a science major....
Terrible "teacher" I learned nothing during the semester. Has powerpoints but she assumes you already know subject content.Gives 4 pg study guides, only about 4 things are ACTUALLY on exam. Does not prepare you for tests. Would not recommend for people who dont already know about history. You dont really use the textbook.
AMAZING!If you don't go to class/take note, you will hate the class.Like those who made comment below mine The test comes from the notes If she doesn't cover it she doesn't test you. Easy test over all. multiple choice(?) and some short answers. In H. Hist you have a research paper, and it was fun! no joke. I am a mom of 2 and i managed
Kinkella is a really great professor! She knows a lot about her subject and teaches it very well. YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK for tests. Gives a study guide before tests as well. An A is attainable if you work for it. 3 tests and a couple of easy homework assignments. Make sure you go to class and take good lecture notes!
LOVED this class. Love it so much I want to take it all over again. Beware, if you have no interest in history, or women's history, Don't take this class. It is A LOT of knowledge. Some students thought she was a major man hating feminist, but that is not what the class is about at all. Great perspective on women in history. Lots of work.
Really great class. We have 2 tests, a research paper, and a final (not cumulative!). Her tests are semi difficult, but if you study her guides and read the book they're not bad. She is intimidating, but if you get to know her outside of class she's really nice. The class opened my eyes to so many things and I really encourage everyone to take it!
Worst class. Evil woman who doesn't even want to see her students succeed. Unclear about assignments and chooses favorites. She probably wrote these other reviews because they are all false.
Strait forward and interesting . She is very passionate about subject and gives study guides
She can be pretty rude to her students at times but I think that's because she's really passionate about the subject and wants us to take it seriously. Go to class and take great notes and you'll do well on the tests. She drops your lowest test grade. Learned a TON about Native Americans. I recommend her class.
Good class and nice lady .
Worst class ever. She's super scatter brained and very hard to follow. Her powerpoints are useless. Her "study guides" are too general. Wikipedia got me through the course. She's the worst teacher I've had thus far, I don't know how she's rated so well.
She's the best. Funny, smart, and she makes you understand what the subject means, instead of just reciting facts. I'd take another course from her any time.
i liked this class a lot she made it interesting and she obviously likes the material plus shes kind of hot lol
EXCELLENT class. The tests were from the reading material and lectures. Book was ok, didn't add much but it supported the lectures. She's a funny lady, and the classes were usually pretty interesting. DEFINITELY KEEP UP WITH THE READING.
This is the worst teacher ive ever had. Nothing on the study guide is on the exam! There are only 3 exams and you have to study 7 chapters each test! I wish ive never taken her.
I dont get some of the reviews. Im in this class now and the test wasnt 7 chapters. And everything is from the study guide. So far she's a great instructor and I've learned a lot already.
Great class, classy lady. Nice balance between tests, paper and final. Everything on her tests is from the study guide, you just have to do the reading. DON'T SKIP THE LECTURES.
One of the best professors I have had and has by far made the biggest impact on me. She's a wonderful person with a great sense of humor who knows what she's talking about. Go and listen to her lectures! Try not to skip if you can. She makes history amazing!
INCREDIBLE class. Professor uses the study guide well, and the lectures are right and concise. One of the best classes I've had at this school. Can't recommend it enough.
Great teacher, if you go to class and pay attention you are going to ace this class hands down. Very organized and easy to follow along. Also a very interesting subject that she shows passion for.
Such an amazing class. She is so clearly passionate about the topic and it makes everything that much more interesting. We watched some very interesting documentaries in her class. I'm almost considering becoming a history major because of her. Definitely an awesome professor, I highly recommend taking her.
Amazing teacher! She isn't exactly super easy but as long as you do the work then you can pass with an A or B. Most of the notes come from her talking and documentaries she shows. She gives detailed study guides for the tests, they really help! She wants you to read but as long as you take good notes then you'll be fine.
She is an awesome teacher, anyone who says otherwise is either not going to class, or just does not pay attention. Very clear when assignments are due, and if you pay attention and take good notes they will help you with the study guide and essay questions. Love the subject matter as well. Take her for sure.
Great class. U need BOTH book and lecture and u will b fine. I actually learned a lot in this class, in addition 2 enjoying it.
Great class, great teacher. She knows how to get you to understand the material. Lectures are actually interesting.
Good teacher but her class is all lecture! Must take notes, long study guides which I didn't find very relevant to the tests. Overall pretty boring class but she is funny and a very nice person!
Great class, really good professor. Everything is in the book or lectures; if you don't get an A, you have no one to blame but yourself. Pay attention; it's easy since she's hot anyway. lol
Love her!!!! Absolute favorite prof. Makes the classes worth going. She sets you up for success. Would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.
This teacher is amazing! I really thought she was inspiring and she really enjoys her work. You can tell that this class is her baby and that she feels fir what she teaching. Professor Kinkella is helpful and clear. She lets her students know what she expects and how she wants things done. She wants her students to pass the class.
This teachers is amazing! She is clear and really strives to help her students out. She tells the students exactly how she wants something to be done and she is very into what she teaches. Kinkella is kind and tries to help out all of her students. There is a lot of reading of documents, but they are easy and most are short.
Lectures are all very thorough & informative. She is very engaging as a professor which I love & uses the "shock-value" approach to get students involved. There are four exams and a few in-class discussion assignments. Half of her tests are MC while the other half is an essay. Plays lots of documentaries & slideshows that make for easy learning.
Tests are mostly off lecture. You don't need the text as much. 30 question tests and short essay. The book is only needed to go into detail for your essay but you can always look it up online! Offers extra credit if you go to the writing center. Definitely recommend!
she is a good history teacher. go to class everyday and listen and you will have no problems
Prof Kinkella is a great teacher! Her lectures are great, she says to read the chapters in the book. But you don't need to, her notes are enough to get you to pass the tests and in class essays. But you need to show up to class. You'll do great! I learned a lot in this class. Loved it!
Professor Kinkella is a good teacher but her tests are to hard. I showed up to every class, took notes and still barely passed the exams. I do not recommend this teacher at all.
when she says to read the content before class, she means it. it's interesting stuff to learn but a really tough class. the tests are tough with insane essay questions you actually have to prepare for. if you keep up with the reading, you'll do fine.
Kinkella is a great teacher; explains things well, and very fair. Yes the class is work, but it's all laid out ahead of time, so there are no suprises.
I LOOOVE Kinkella. I took the Study of Women's History and she sparked my interest in history. she shows educational documentrys and provides clear expectaions for her not hard tests. you do have to work and read in this class. do not text in her class and ask questions. LOVE HER.
I liked this class. Although it was work it was at least interesting, and prof obviously knows her stuff. Tough but fair definitely applies here. Do the work and you'll be fine. Plus she's at least nice to look at
She is a great teacher, just study the study guide, and u will get an A
Show up to class every session and be prepared to take notes. The grade was based on 3 non cumulative tests. She gives very clear study guides before each test. If you complete the study guide and actually take an hour or two to STUDY you will pass the class with an A! I very much enjoyed this class and thought she was a wonderful professor!!!
Prof. Kinkella is not an EASY teacher, but she is passionate and clearly an expert. She outlines what you need to know and how to get the grade you want and deserve. Don't do what she tells you? Don't complain about your grade. She's readily available in office hours that almost no one takes advantage of. Excellent professor. One of my faves.
Prof. Kinkella is SUPER passionate about what she teaches. Even though I hate history I found her lectures to be very interesting and engaging. I only used the textbook to go into detail when it came to the essay questions (which she gives you before the test). Make sure not to just write down what's on the slides but also what she says too.
Great class tell all my friends to take it
Loved this class! I'm going to take Her Again next semester. Recommend
Really tough class! I took notes and came to class everyday, still couldn't pass. She has 3 tests. I highly recommend a different teacher.
Easy class and I hate history but liked her way of teaching .
I also took Kinkella's class in women's history but 1/2 way through the class I dropped just before exam 2. Grade based on 3 exams. Failed the first exam. It also was my first history class since high school. I enjoyed reading and learning about all the different women in history and all but knew I wouldn't pass.
Anyone who says she's "too hard" simply isn't paying attention. Yes, you need to know something to take the test, but she's well prepared, teaches everything you need, and works off of one book. Excellent class, and a great prof.
Good class. Prof is easy to follow. Lots of reading, but only one book. Do the reading, get the grade.
Worst class ever. She is way too hard and gives so much information, it is impossible to remember and pass the class. I come everyday to class, take notes, and study . I still cannot pass the class. She does not reply to emails at all. I am trying to get help but it almost seems impossible. If I were you, I would take someone else better.
i dont get the "too hard' stuff if you do the reading you can do well and i liked the way she made the subject interesting plus shes kinda hot lol
She makes Women's History so amazing! I love her lectures and is very passionate about it. Make sure to read the chapters and take notes since her tests are based on the lectures. It's an easy A if you are willing to put time and effort in the class.
This was the hardest class I have taken at Moorpark. Prof. Kinkella is not very warm AT ALL and is pretty strict. Her tests were most difficult I have seen and practically your whole grade is based on them. I learned a lot in this class and she is definitely passionate though. Other than that, this class ruined my 4.0 GPA. Wouldn't recommend.
took both native American and women's classes and both were good. take good notes and you will be fine
DO NOT TAKE HER. Your grade is mostly comprised of 3/4 tests, so you're doomed if you are a bad test taker. She is not sympathetic... very cold. Talks extremely fast, spews out so much information. I regret taking her/this class.
Her class was interesting at times but the tests were graded overly harshly and the study guides were useless. I wouldn't take another one of her classes unless i had to .
second class I've taken with her. good instructor, tough but fair. do the reading.
Great teacher! Grade is mostly compromised of 3 tests but it you take notes and do the study guide you'll do great! The information is so interesting and professor kinkella is so passionate about the subject! Im giving a 3 for easiness because you definitely have to work for it!!!
Tough but fair grader. Really knows her stuff and is very engaged with the subject. I'd take another of her classes again. Grade mostly based on tests, which is mostly based on the reading, so DO THE READING.
This class was better than expected. Buy the book because I did not and I struggled when it came to some questions on the tests. The study guides she gives you are the tests pretty much. Final not accumulative which is nice. Study hard, and show up to class or you will not pass.
I'm a CJ major but really liked her class and lectures- makes history something I started to be interested in.
Awesome history professor, keeps it professional, very passionate about her work. She is a tough grader but very fair. She's very clear when lecturing and always makes sure that her student understand before moving on. When mistakes are made she will always try to fix it, she cares about her students.
Professor Kinkella is fantastic. She makes class interesting although it is mainly lecture. She is willing to probe students' minds regarding social norms and is extremely intelligent. She is so kind and approachable as well.
I loved this class! Professor Kinkella was very approachable and really kind. Mostly lecture, but it was interesting & easy to pay attention to. No hmwrk. Show up, read, take the time to do the study guides, & you will get an A. Essay question on the exam; pay attention to the topics she is passionate about, she will put it on the exam!
I took this class just for my general ed. not expecting much, but I found her class to be extremely interesting. Her lectures were great, but you defiantly have to pay attention, she gives a lot of important info. Textbook is not used much, it is helpful for her study guides, but I didn't use it to read much. Her notes pretty much cover everything.
She is an amazing professor and as long as you show up to class and study hard you'll get an A.
Professor Kinkella has a great knowledge of American history and her passion for it has truly inspired me. Her Lectures are clear and well-organized and her slides make note-taking straightforward. Attend class, take notes, read the textbook, study and you should not have a problem on the tests.
Lectures are the whole class but they aren't boring. Homework is mostly reading. Tests are tough manageable. Caring teacher.
I took this class for credits and it was the worst decision I have ever made. I will admit she is passionate about the history she teaches but she doesn't teach it. She is so bad at getting the point across and her lectures are all over the place. Not to mention she is incredibly rude. I would do anything not to show up for this class. Do not take
You get three tests in her class which consists of a multiple choice section and a short essay section. She gives study guides which cover 80% of what she puts on the tests and everything else is in the textbook. Her lectures are engaging and you really get a better understanding of our country's history. Attend class for credit.
SHe really knows history and class is one of the best at Moorpark. Tests not too hard but definetly need to study
Native American History is an amazing class, and Kinkella really knows her field. Phenomenal class if you have to take a history. Taught well, straight-forward. Study the content she teaches in class and you'll do fine.
Lectures everyday with a movie/documentary sometimes in between. No homework but also little to no extra credit, which means your grade is solely based on 3 tests. On the brighter side, Professor Kinkella is very passionate about women's history, and gives good study guides for the tests. Hardest I've worked for an A!
Great lectures, interesting subject, and the grading method is clear. Everything I look for. :)
A very good teacher. She was really passionate about women's history and gave interesting lectures! If you take detailed notes and pay attention to her lectures its an easy A. Loved coming to class everyday! You just relax and learn.
I regret taking this teacher, she pushes her feminist crap hard. Nothing against feminism, the true feminism founded by alice paul, she just twists & is annoying about it. The grades are based on 4 test & extra credit is only 1%. Her study guides nothing like the test. she makes tantrums on anything like a sound or a male going to the restroom.
Kinkella is knowledgable and passionate about her subject. However, she doesn't let you go to the bathroom or leave class at all, she will tell you not to come back. She also told a group to drop her class for being "disruptive".She stops her lectures at any noise anyone makes to tell them their disruptive She also takes forever to give tests back.
Class was great and not hard at all if u come to class and do study guide.
Kinkella is really professional and knows her stuff. She's fair; anyone who does the work is going to get a good grade. Would definitely take again.
Kinkella's classes are very interesting and her lectures very enjoyable but she is very sensitive to noise and expects her class to stop talking the minute she reaches her desk. Also very intolerable of cell phone use of any kind. Her grading is fair and her class is easy enough if students show up and do the work, but don't buy any textbooks!
She's clear, concise and the grading system is easy to understand. Getting a good grade in this class isn't difficult, but you have to put in the work. Cute, too.
Proffesor Kinkella is nice and she is very passionate about history so it does make her lectures interesting. However she has 3 tests and everyone has an essay portions and she grades hard the essay portion. You also should really read the book assigned for the class.
She really knows what she's talking about. The lectures are in depth but she doesn't throw too much information at you at once. If you come to class and do some of the reading its an easy A. Totally recommend taking professor Kinkella. You won't regret it! No matter your major.
Don't buy the text books. You never use them. Fine professor, a little touchy, hates phones, and slightly unorganized, her lectures tend to be out of chronological order and jump around a bit. Easy A, study and show up, attendance was never taken.
Took her women's history class and she really knows what she's talking about! The class was pretty interesting. Tests are 40mc and a short essay and the final is just like a normal test. Gives helpful study guides before every exam. Though, she almost always showed up a few mins late to class and cancelled like 2 weeks worth of classes :(
Professor Kinkella knows her stuff, and it shows. Not a gimme class, but an A is relatively easy if you put in some work. Definitely pay attention to the lectures.
Kinkella is an amazing teacher. She is very detailed in her facts. She really wants her students to participate in her classroom. You will learn so much & leave with a better understanding of some really important history facts. Those who want to learn their history, and why it is so important in today society, take her class. You wont regret it!
Kinkella knows history and how to teach it. She's funny and smart, and the class was entertaining as well as educational. She tells you exactly what you need to do well; just listen.
I am so happy I took Native American History! Professor Kinkella is the best and truly knows the subject she is teaching. As long as you show up, take notes, and study for the test, youll do just fine. Her class is one of the few reasons I enjoy coming to school so much. Also, go on the site visit!! Its 100% worth it.
She is a great professor but if you skip class frequently, don't expect to know everything on the tests. The majority of what she goes over is in the textbook but there are also certain names, documents or random facts she gives in class that will appear on the tests. Attend class, take notes, and read the textbook and you'll do fine.
Kinjella is an amazing teacher ! Though she references the book, if you don't want to waste your money you really don't need it. As long as you write detailed notes in her class you will pass the tests! But she does tend to cancel class a lot, check your emails! She also rants a lot about random dislikes. But overall very good teacher.
Tests usually have an essay but she gives you example prompts on the study guide and a couple of those will be on the test and you can choose which one you want to write on. Tests are not that hard but her study guides do not show you everything that may be on the test. Read the text before tests. History of American Women class is really good!
She is amazing and extremely educated. Her class was so fun; I was actually upset when she would cancel it. She was always nice to people who asked dumb questions (in my opinion) and was always willing to help. definitely recommend. Also, exams are really easy, but some questions not on study guide are asked to spay attention in lecture.
a lot of note taking and attendance is also important. It's easy to acquire notes from a classmate but being physically in class allows you to get all the info that she says that are not written on the board/included in the slides. As much as I like Professor Kinkella, she never uploads the grades. Im on my second sem not knowing my final grade.
love her! She never fails to make history interesting and exciting. The whole class is very engaged during lectures. Takes attendance by doing small in class assignments randomly mostly graded on tests & she gives extra credit. I take good notes and barely use my textbook at all. Easy class :) just show up and do your work and you should get an A
She is an amazing teacher. She has a three question per student rule. Very thorough when lecturing. Very considerate of family emergencies.
Your grade is based only on 3 tests. She lectures every class and goes fast. She doesnt put anything on a PowerPoint so you have to write down what she says. Its important to take good notes from the lecture. Without good notes you wont pass the test.
she is a very passionate teacher and comes off harsh. lectures are fast and jam packed with info and there is only 3 exams so there is a lot to remember. she loves answering questions and is very knowledgeable but grades tough on short answer for exams
Lectures, that's pretty much it, pay attention and you'll pass, never bought the book, tests are straight from notes, really knows her subject, missed quite a few classes and it never seemed to affect my grade just make sure to get the notes
Wonderful class. Kinkella is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject, and a fair grader. You WILL need to do the reading, but if you put in the work, youll not only do well but actually learn something. Also, hawt.
I respect Kinkella very much with her big heart in Women's History and learned a ton from her! Though I wish there were more extra credit options on the criteria to improve our grades. The grade is weighed mainly on 3 exams- you will need to work HARDER for your desired grade than normally. TAKE LOTS OF NOTES, READ & STUDY HARD and you'll get by.
This professor was an amazing lecturer. You really don't need the book for this class. As long as you pay attention to the lecture and take notes, you will be totally fine. She provides study guides for the tests as well. Super easy class.
Kinkella's class is amazing! She clearly loves the subject. The tests are based mostly off the lectures, and she will throw in a few questions from the book, but you don't really need to buy it. She makes you work for your grade, but if you show up to class and study, you will be fine.
She was a good teacher, but she did tend to cancel a lot of classes. I definitely struggled with her essay questions. Go to class !!!
Kinkella is an extremely intelligent person and knows the content well, though she occasionally takes her class a little too seriously. If you're taking the class to learn about the subject matter she's a great resource, just be prepared to take the class seriously as well.
She knows the material and knows how to make it understandable. Its work, but its worth it. If you actually want to learn something, this is a good class and good prof to take. Definitely do the reading though.
Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. You definitely need to take good notes in class but do not really need the textbook. She presents interesting material and really makes you think about it - she is part of the reason why I changed my major to history!
I honestly hated history and always was frustrated in history classes because I never retained anything, but she is very energetic and cares a lot about what she is teaching. You are only graded on three exams that are mostly based on the lecture notes, every class is a lecture but she makes them interesting and engaging.
Kinkella knows her stuff and is passionate. She doesnt put up with anything though, so if you come to class to be a jerk, dont take her. Do the reading, listen to the lectures, and youll be fine. Shes pretty funny too.
I dreaded taking history this semester but I'm so glad I took Professor Kinkella! She is so passionate about the subject it makes lectures more interesting. If your someone who doesn't like history take her! The book is a good took to use in case you need extra help but just listen to her lectures and take good notes.
Professor Kinkella is amazing! She truly cares about the subject and makes learning about it very enjoyable. The grade is mostly determined by exams, so it is important to study and keep up with all the material. I really enjoyed this class and if I need more history credit, I would take a class taught by Kinkella for sure!
Thoroughly enjoyed this class. She is passionate and enthusiastic about the subject which makes it easy to listen. Would definitely take again!
Prof Kinkella is so amazing! Her class made me really interested in history. Her lectures are engaging and not boring at all. Just make sure to pay attention and take notes. I never really read the book, I just studied a reasonable amount. If you have the chance, take her! You won't regret it.
By far the best professor at Moorpark. Prof. Kinkella loves and is passionate about what she teaches and it shows. She inspired me to study my passion about women in history and has further pushed me to go into a historical field through my writing. She is one of the most intelligent people you will ever meet and is exactly what a prof. Should be.
Susan Kinkella is one of the best professors I have taken at Moorpark. I genuinely enjoyed going to her class, she is very passionate about what she does. If you go to her class, participate in lectures, take good notes and study for the exams it is very easy to pass with an A.
She is a bit scatter brained. show up to class & study for the tests,. I am an A student but I def had to study for the tests in order to get an A in the class. Make quizlets, fill out her study guides, study, study, study! It really isnt rocket science. Shes also leftwing feminist (which is gr8) So if ur a snowflake u prob wont like her
History tends to be pretty boring for me, but I was never bored in this class. You do need to show up, as the tests are based off of her presentations and lecture. I learned so much and would definitely take this class again.
Her lecture style is all over the place, she talks in a moderately monotone voice, and she rambles excessively. I always left her class feeling exhausted and annoyed because of her teaching style. She lacks the ability to keep her political, social, and religious views to herself, which in my opinion is pretty unprofessional.
she was ok i guess, extremely scatter-brained like others have said. one rate mentions her monotone voice and how she cant keep her views to herself, very true. you never know whats important info cuz she keeps the same tone all of class. wont hesitate to call out students with diff views from her, its extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable
Women's History class was my favorite this semester. The material is interesting and she's passionate about it. I usually don't like history but loved this class .
Lots of notes taken because the whole class is lectures. You do three or four partner reading through the semester but the tests can be rough. The study guides are helpful but make sure you know a lot of information because the essay questions are hard, she loves detail.
Your grade is compiled of basically only three tests which are not too bad, they consist of multiple choice questions and an essay. A lot of the info and terms on the study guide are not on the test, which is frustrating. The entire class consists of lectures, which can get boring sometimes. Overall very doable to get an A if you study a lot.
She was very engaging, respected, and professional. Her lectures were great and you must pay attention to them and take notes to do well on the tests. Your grade is based only on the 3 tests so it is vital that you are in attendance and focused on what she is teaching.
Shes an amazing instructor, and knows the material really well. Obvious passion for her subject. Its pretty easy to do well, just do the work and have decent writing skills. Def would take her again.
Loved her women in American history class! Im normally terrible at history but she makes it interesting to learn. Shes extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she teaches. Can be intimidating but I think that's part of her charm. Each class you'll take notes on her lecture and might watch a few videos. No homework. Don't need textbook.
I had a tough time with this professor because although I did well on the tests, I did not enjoy the class. She often would call people out in the middle of class and would be vocally upset if someone left to use the restroom. She was really strict and did not seem approachable.
Be Super Careful!! I signed up for this class and let me tell you that she is a not good teacher. she assigns a lot of tests that make it super hard for everybody to pass her class. She talks nonsense. Also she arrives 15 minutes late and is never willing to help. Im not good at history and she makes it so complicated for me to understand.
Great class not to hard if you go to class and take good notes.
I had her womens history class about 4 years ago and her class was the reason I decided to minor in history and go on to law school. Read the texts, study, and pay attention because on her exams is exactly what she teaches you. Be respectful and engage and you will do well. She knows what she's talking about and can tell if you aren't trying.
Kinkella is super sweet. Her class is very lecture heavy and only grades exams, but she clearly loves what she is teaching so she makes the lectures entertaining. If you take notes in class and use them on her study guides you will do just fine.
If youre part of ACCESS do NOT take this class. Kinkella was not accommodating to my accommodations at all, & was very difficult to deal with. She refused to sign my ACCESS forms bc its an advantage. Her slides are short, she talks fast & expects you to write everything down in 1 min & she wont allow pics. Pass the test, study the study guides
Great prof, great class. History has to be taught right to make an impact, with passion and perspective. She has both. Obviously cares about her students and the subject. If you have a chance, take her class.
Needed this for my major and Im glad I took Kinkella. Not the easiest A, but not hard either. And her take on Native American history is amazingly insightful.
Finally a prof that actually cares about the subject shes teaching. The lectures were always good, the grading was fair (although maybe Im saying that because I got an A haha), and she definitely knows her stuff. Would take again.
Not an awful professor but wasn't that great in my opinion. Forces you to watch her long lectures instead of just simply uploading powerpoints. I felt like there was a little bit too much material to do per week. Also quite disorganized which made it confusing to follow along in class. Not mean or rude at all however
9 wk class Be sure to watch the lectures, and complete all parts of the module. Most of quiz from lecture. I personally didn't read the textbook. She has very strong opinions, but online it is not an issue. Seems like a genuinely great person. Great office hours, willing to help. I feel like I got a great crash course in US History. Quiz every mod.
If you watch the lectures she posts on women in history and do all of the modules on time you will do great in this class. The textbook was required but I never even used it. If you stay on top of doing the very few assignments that there are you'll be fine, I think there was only one big assignment but it didn't seem like she graded harshly on it.
I took Professor Kinekellas 8-week Womens History class. She required a textbook, but I didnt use it and still did very well in the class. There was one major historical journal project, but other than that there wasnt much homework. Watch the lectures, take good notes, and you will do fine on the quizzes and tests.
Her Native American history class last semester was best history class I've taken.
Her Women's History class was great and organized well. She always quick to reply to emails and is supper nice!
Great class and even though was 8 week wasn't too hard , just do all post ) quizzes
If you take good notes while watching ALL the lectures, you will definitely get an A in the class. The quizzes are super easy if you take good notes. You can tell she loves what she teaches, but if you take this class online, make sure you turn on CC when watching lectures. Don't bother with the textbook, I opened mine twice the whole semester.
Professor Kinkella is an amazing professor and I highly recommend this class! I took History of American Women and while the lectures are quite long, the quizzes and exams were easy as long as you pay close attention to the lectures. Easy A is you plan on engaging in her class. She offers office hours every week so she is very accessible!
In my opinion, professor Kinkella is the best professor! She has a set day of the week of office hours where she will wait on the zoom for the 3 hours whether you join or not! Watch her pre-recorded lectures and I would put her key terms/ concepts on a google doc as you watch! Overall, great teacher!
Professor Kinkella is amazing and definitely knows her stuff. Easy class, you don't really need the textbook, I got by just watching the lectures. Your grade is determined by weekly multiple choice quizzes, some discussion posts, and a project. Its easy and interesting
She only allows you to submit your essays once even if you turned them in before the due date!
Professor Kinkella is very knowledgeable about Native American history. Her online class consists of 1-3 chapters of reading, PowerPoint lectures, documentaries and short videos, primary source discussions, and a multiple-choice quiz each week. Work can be time-consuming but very informative. She has set office hours 2 times a week - accessible!
I took her 8-week course and really enjoyed it. To do well in this class, make sure to turn on the captions for her lectures and take good notes. I never bought the textbook, everything you will need to know is in her lectures. Also, she makes it really easy to contact her if you need help.
What I Loved: Her lectures were EXCELLENT she was very knowledgable and her insight great & AMAZING What I Didn't Love: My complaint is this: There were a couple of quizzes that were questionable. and asked to see the results. THE QUIZZES AND TESTS WERE NEVER UNLOCKED!!! I asked her twice about it; I explained that it WASN'T NORMAL PROTOCOL
Book not really needed. Prof. Kinkella's lectures are interesting and contain everything you need to know for the exams. Some discussions (3 or 4) required but this was the extent of homework for the most part. This is an interesting history course and I recommend to anyone looking for an alternative to traditional American/western viewpoints.
Quizzes every other week, two cumulative exams, occasional discussion, historical journal. Quizzes are just based on the long lectures, little to no need of textbook, but the lectures are rather informative and interesting. The historical journal is due at the end of the sem, not like a normal essay, 9 journal entries on 8 pages as a made up woman.
The class itself is interesting but your entire grade for the semester is based off of 3 tough tests and the test mainly focus on people and their significance to history so if you struggle with peoples names or struggle with taking tests then this class may be tough for you.
Pros: She's very passionate and knowledgeable. Her posted lectures were from when the class went virtual for Covid, but they were engaging Cons: Her quizzes and exams were riddled with typos and made some things hard to understand. Some of her criteria for assignments is unclear and unorganized
good class to take in person b/c her lectures are amazing and she covers everything on the exams
This professor does not have any assignments other than her weekly quizzes and two exams for this class term. This class is not an easy A if anyone is hoping for that. This online course is lecture-heavy and if you are a visual learner I do not recommend these classes. If you are an auditory learner and a good test-taker you'll do well.
Professor Kinkella is very easy to follow throughout the class. I took her her 8 week online course. She gives 1 discussion, 1 chapter quiz every week, 2 exams, 1 final paper. Her lectures were interesting and the videos/movies/documentaries she assigns with the lectures are very informative as well. You will enjoy learning about women's history.
I love Professor Kinkella!! She was passionate about what she taught and is very involved in the community that she teaches. Be prepared to show up to class and take notes but those lectures will help you pass the class. We were taught history with unbiased lessons that we could compare to modern political issues we are faced with today.
Her class was pretty straightforward. We would take notes in the slideshow and lecture and read and take notes on the chapter reading. I really admired her teaching style and she always made the class engaging. She really cares about her students and does her best to help and provide an easier understanding of the material.
Kinkella knows her stuff and is good at explaining it. Subject matter is so much easier to learn when the prof can do that. Def would take her again.
Terrible! This teacher was the most snobby entitled woman I have ever witnessed. All her students are scared of her. Tough grader and is super biased. If she does not like u, it will reflect on your scores. White teachers need to stop teacher poc / native studies!
She would lecture via powerpoint and go through it extremely quickly. Didn't read the book. We would hardly do any in-class discussions and was no outside work for the class. When we did do group discussions, she would spend more time messing around with assigning groups than giving us time to talk about what we needed to talk about. Not a fan.
Professor Kinkella was awesome! All you have to do to get a good grade in this class is show up and study the study guide terms she posts before every test. Just showing up, taking good notes, and paying attention (which is easy because of her passionate lectures) is enough to pass every test. Extra credit opportunities offered were helpful too!
Dr. Kinkella is a great teacher and her lectures are very interesting. However, Your grade is based on only three exams and nothing more. She also structures her lectures in a way that you don't know which chapter you're in, which isn't helpful.
this professor knows a lot and wants to to help students. come to class and take good notes and it's not hard.
There is no homework in the class, and your grade solely depends on the three tests she gives. So, show up to class because she is very lecture-heavy. Take good notes; most of what she covers on her slides/lectures will be on the tests. If you miss a class you have to get notes from a classmate, she doesn't post any slides online if you miss.
I don't have anything against her, but I think how she formats the work is odd. You have to do a bunch of quizzes and they really affect your grade, and you also HAVE to read a lot. It's a lot of reading, and she doesn't show ur grade + what u got right/wrong. She'll grade it later but makes it hard to improve. 2 exams, 1 essay.
Super intelligent teacher but her online class was formatted poorly. 24 minute quizzes with 20 questions. You couldn't see what you got wrong. Also you have to watch 2020 zoom recordings with not the best audio quality, i.e breakups and other sounds. The final project was fun though but probably had the messiest instructions page I have ever seen.
Prof. Kinkella is friendly, knows so much, and gives such in-depth lectures. Her classes are interesting & informative, but be warned, she goes fast, and missing a class could ruin your grade if you can't borrow good notes. The class is graded by 3 non-cumulative exams and a few in-class responses based on lectures, but she does offer extra credit.
Not a big fan of history but I LOVED this class!! She is an amazing lecturer and you don't have to read the textbook (she says to but it's not helpful). Mainly graded on three tests. Make sure you take good notes and listen to what she says since there isn't a lot of info on the slides, and study using her study guide. Would definitely take again!
Don't get me wrong she is a very nice professor... but her class was just formatted weirdly. One thing I didn't like was the fact that you can never see what you got wrong or right on quizzes/exams. Sometimes when you read something for one module it will not be talked about in the lecture for that module but in the next one.
loved this class - you will like her lectures and she's easy to follow.
First history class i actually liked.
best online class I've taken in history
Love the lectures
Professor Kinkella's lectures are engaging and straightforward. While the class relies heavily on exams, utilizing study tools like unstuckstudy ai alongside attending class and taking thorough notes can lead to great success. Definitely worth taking!
Really awesome professor! She is extremely passionate and knowledgeable in her subject and is great to listen to. She encourages conversation and will gladly answer any questions you have. As long as you attend class and take notes, you'll definitely get good grades!
One of the worst classes I've ever taken. There's no way to visually learn anything in this class. As well as the only way to pass is to do well on quizzes. I would never take this teacher again
First time i liked a history class
Terrible class
Kinkella is passionate about the material, which comes across in the lectures. Just do the reading and come to class and you'll be fine. Plus she's kinda funny. I'd take a class of hers again.
You can tell that she is passionate about her lessons. Note taking is important and will help you when taking tests. She has simple notes but paying attention to the lesson will help. Study guides have everything that will be on the tests.
Offers very little time frame for quizzes/exams. I also wasn't able to see my grade for the historical journal on canvas, despite having turned it in on time. I assumed because she was busy, as it was the final weeks of the semester, but I was wrong. When I emailed her for pointers to see what I did wrong on the journal, I was ignored.
loved the class-highly recommend
I didn't expect to enjoy this class, but Kinkella made it interesting. She has a ton of experience, so she was able to make the subject relatable to today. She's also pretty funny. Def would take again.
I recommend to anyone taking american history
-Outstanding professor. -Graded fairly -Made class very interesting. -Only interesting history class I have ever had I strongly encourage whoever takes her class to write beyond what she has on her slides/videos and to write what she says. The notes are extremely helpful and crucial for our exams! Thank you for such an amazing semester!
This was the best class I have taken so far. Professor Kinkella clearly loves her job which makes learning so much more fun. There has 3 tests total. As long as you study for them, you'll do good. The information in class is no where online and she won't give it out so ask a friend for notes. This class honestly changed my entire perspective!
I took this class for half a semester, and it was a mistake. The online lectures were long, outdated, and packed with useless details. Quizzes had impossible time limits and random questions. The workload was excessive, and you couldn't review mistakes, making learning frustrating and unfair.
all i gotta say is she's so slay and her lectures are awesome. definitely take her!
Professor Kinkella was a great professor who cares for her students, gives good lectures, always relates the history to the present, does not show political or religious bias, loves her work, and is very kind. I would definitely take her again and would highly recommend her for any history course (Especially U.S).
