I dont like her teaching styles. Very boring at times.
She is the weirdest teacher I've ever taken. She's boring, and very disorganized. It seemed to me like she was high half the time. She cancels a couple of classes. The tests are based on the study sheets she gives.
she's a little weird but her class is sooo easy. all you need to study is her review sheet to get a good grade on an exam
boooring, prepare to hold your eyelids open, other than that shes easy and cancels class a lot
She makes the course very interesting. Therer is a fair amount of reading but as long as you keep up, you will really enjoy the course. Plus, she curves the grades in the end. Always a good thing.

I got this professor right in the middle of the semester because the other one quit -- this was the best thing that happened to me! This professor is a great teacher -- explains everything clearly -- very easy-- very nice person -- she makes it interesting. I would definitely recommend her!

Fun and easy to learn. She teaches with a lot of videos. These are slightly hard, but with good notes, you'll ace her test. Make sure you do all the readings as well.

What she lacks in organization she makes up for with easiness. Multiple Choice Tests. No Papers.
She is very nice person. She will listen to what you have to say, comments/etc. The only problem is organization, overflowing of notes. Her tests are very very hard, so dont expect to get a 90 without studying. Her MC questiosn are very tricky and confusing indeed. Overall, take her, but do the readings!!!!!

she is such a sweet lady aproach her about anything and she will try to help you. her lectures are all over the place and hard to understand but as long as you go and try to pay attention the tests are a breeze. she even gives a review sheet and answers it with you. easy A.

She is very nice, funny and fun lady. But her notes are not so clear. You should read the text book and some additional readings because they appear on her exams. The exams are not hard but you have to do the readings. Don't worry she gives a review sheet before the exam so it's very helpful. I will definitely take her again.
I don't recommend that you take her class, lectures are confusing and her test questions are not fair with ambiguous answers. The text for this class makes for difficult and B-O-R-R-R-I-N-G reading. Save your self and find another professor.
Unclear notes, tricky tests, weird lady. Many times she moves away from the lecture and into her own stories....just wasting time.
i really enjoyed her class. shes a genuine character, and very dynamic. you have to do the readings to do well, but doing well in her class is definitely within anyones range. it was a short summer session, yet i felt very "at home" in her class, whish is a rare and valuable experience in Queens. take her, you'll enjoy it.
No structure to lectures at all. Going to the class is a waste. She wastes much of class time, doesn't get much of the chapter accomplished during class b/c goes too much into personal stories. Read the text, you're better off. Her class lacks organization and structure.
Test ques straight from study guide. Talks a lot. Even if you don't pay attention in class, should read the book and study guide. Tells interesting stories. No HW, no paper. 3 test and that's it. Easy class
Honestly i don't even know where to begin with this teacher. she's really an idiot. there's no point in showing up to her class, only if you want to waste time and litsen to her life stories. her tests aren't that hard.. everything is self t aught. stay away.
Oh man is she nuts. Seriously, easy class, but craaazy prof. She IS nice though, even funny sometimes, has quite a potty mouth lol, but she's nuts. Completely. No homework which is great. TESTS ARE STRAIGHT FROM THE BOOK NOT FROM THE NOTES LIKE SHE SAYS!! Also, the tests were always curved like 10-15 points, which just goes to show how crazy she is

Comes late to class and cancels classes often. Very unorganized and falls behind in her lectures, but she is the easiest grader in QC. No need to show up but you'll get a good grade in the end. You can't beat that. You will leave knowing everything about her personal history.
Trainwreck! She was ALWAYS late! Her lectures lack organization and objectives. SHe started using powerpoint bout 1/2 way thru the semester which would have been ok but she has no idea how to use it so we had to help her each time. Got an A+ by teaching myself. Learned nothing from her. Waste of $. Test ques from study guide. Avoid. It was torture.

She told the class she would use fall06's books for spring07, so that fall06's students could sell their books to new students, but she lied, she changed the version to the latest. If u take her class, u would get a great grade but u would hardly learn something from her.

Professor Meswick is funny and interesting. Her lectures are never dull! She is a peculiar woman. She uses powerpoint and sometimes she just lectures. She shows a few films too. However, even though the material is not hard to understand, the questions she puts on the test are ambiguous. M/C tests but...pretty tricky. She does curve though.

Bottom line, get the gist of what she's teaching and you'll wing it. She makes the class enjoyable and fun, she makes the time fly and she's just an all around nice teacher. I wouldn't say she's disorganized just a little scattered but she knows what shes talking about. Take her if you want to enjoy and learn a little Anthro.
In a word, terrible. Fumbling, repetitious, never on time, ill-prepared and disorganized. I was very disappointed iwth this class, it was a boring, annoying class. What a shame, especially during the summer. Avoid.

Warning, heed my word if you are enrolled, thinking of enrolling in this instructor's courses next term:as my uncle the lawyer would say, "Your Honor,this is an outrage!" You never have to go to class! Just memorize the answers on the study-guide online and read the appropriate chapters. THAT'S ALL you need! She is very intelligent about the subject and easy going. I would recommend her.
Horrible **** and dislexic. She reeks of alcohol and i'm surprised no one noticed it or reported it. Can't write, cant spell.. very unhelpful, shows the same film numerous times. Dont waste your time or your money.

She tends to be a bit disorganized. But she knows what she is talking about. She shows a ton of cool and informative films to help you understand diseases better. Take her if your interested in Anthropology and dont listen to those people who complain about her! Those are probably the people who have no interest whatsoever in Anthro

lectures are all you need to know for the exam but you should read the book, helps you understand and clear things up. Always go to her office to look over exams, it will help you. Videos can be watched again on your own time. Pretty easy MC exams. I would recommend her and take her again.

I usually sit up front in my classes to get the bead on lecture, but here you got blown away by the alcohol fumes. I got a decent grade, but the whole class was an ugly experience, a joke really. Lecture is semi-boring, just don't sit in the back if you take her; it's easy to fall asleep. She's a nice person, but I really don't know if I'd take her class again. Great professor! You have to study, but she clearly states what is going to be on the exam. Three exams plus my anthro lab. Very interesting lecture. Very smart and nice person. Highly recommended!
Her lectures are boring but she's a great professor. Attendance is a must. Two exams and a final. The material is presented to you beforehand but study well enough...not just breeze over it. Anthrolabs are part of your grade and they're so easy.
Great professor, hard to pay attention since its a lecture. Go over the anthro labs and pay attention during the review and the tests should be easy. Would highly reccomend taking prof meswick. I found the class very interesting and it led me to take 102
She is one of the sweetest professors at QC. She's very down to earth and relatable. Review sheets are given before every exam, and she goes over each term with the class. She tells a lot of life stories, which help keep the class awake. Exams are strict definitions from the textbook. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should get to know her.
The topic of this class is highly interesting, but this professor isn't the best one to teach it. She is constantly going off tangent and she always finds a way to talk about her personal life. It wastes so much class time. I feel like I didn't learn much.
I've had this professor previously and liked her. She is passionate, entertaining, and her class is not difficult to do well in. However, taking a second class with her I've found that she has become less organized, more forgetful, and less easy to understand. I did not learn as much as I would have liked to... Very disorganized, forgetful, and confusing. Test questions are unclear. The review sheet for the final was full of terms that we never covered. The first few days of class she didn't know what time class started so she came in 15 minutes late. She wanted us to post something on blackboard but she never opened the discussion board, etc. Avoid her.

i am an A student and recieved an F. yes, an F. she is very unclear. has no idea what she is doing. comes late everytime when she lives in bayside. it only takes half an hour with traffic. very mean and doesnt help with anything. dont take her. just dont. save ur grade.
