She had a fun, upbeat attitude and really tried to help you understand what she was teaching
she's a good teacher, you can use notes on your tests, and the homework is REALLY EASY and so is the final.
This is my favorite teacher of all time. She changed my life in so many ways. I would reccomend that anyone and everyone take this class. She is an amazing woman.

Awesome Teacher. If you take a 3hr./once a wk. class with her, she lets you do your homework in class PLUS use notes on the tests! Final is a take home and doesn't effect grade much if you bomb it!
This class is okay. Her 3 hour class is at the end of the day and she seems irritable. You get to do homework in class and use notes on the test, but the last test average was still a D. Her tests are tricky and she does not use a curve.
Stastistics is hard - she makes it easy. Reasonable amount of homework. Tests are a little bit hard, but what do you expect - you're allowed to have notes. I'd take her again in a minute!
for a hard class- she adds gravy! give a little and get back what you want. only downside- she can be easily frustrated if you distract her but be patient
This is a hard class if you have math anxiety. However, this teacher makes it "do-able". The tests are hard but the homework is really easy. She likes students and will help you if you need it.
If you want an A you have to work for it, but she makes it doable. If you need help or don't understand something she will help. She's also patient and willing to help. I would recommend anyone to take her for this class.
Good Teacher, Easy Class. She Cancelled quite a few times. Shows lots of videos in class. I missed a number of classes and still got a A. Tests are somewhat tricky, but you can BS your way through the essay questions and still get a good grade.
Good teacher, multiple choice tests are fairly easy, lets you use your notes. Very clear and answers questions. If you are absent or tardy 4 times your grade goes down a letter, so if you are planning on not showing up, I dont suggest taking her class.
i came into this class thinking i would hate it but she made it so interesting. i learned a lot about myself in this class (i know that sounds dumb but i did!) i think she is really smart. she is really willing to help you with anything you need too. shes one of my top 5 teachers so far.
You get a cheat sheet on tests - say no more. It's not easy material , but I couldnt imagine getting through this class without her. She's really trying to make a difference for her students. Dont take it for granted!
Susan Miller is one of the best teachers i have ever had! She really wants you to learn, and she makes it fun and easy. She's really laid back and is so smart! Great teacher!!
This teacher rocks, get her if you take social psychology.
She is an excellent teacher with a good personality. She is one of the easiest prof. to approach with any issues about tests or homework that I have ever had.
This online class was one of the easiest I have taken so far.Assignments are very easy and tests only have 20 questions per chapter(Plus we get study guides that are helpful).Just read the chapters and you will do well...no need to study.Susan is also very clear on what needs to get done.
She is great! But, her class was a bit confusing. Never really goes over readings, but does teach concepts, etc. Midterm was hard, but final was okay. However, she is willing to work with you to help you pass the class if you are serious about it.
Good teacher with a good sense of humor. This class has some fun discussions. Word of caution. Mid-term and Final suck!!! You really have to study and do some memorization of every definition she gives you. She's very lenient when it comes to curving though!
She is nice and she makes her classes easy but she doesn't spend to much time on the actual material, and i would have liked it if she went more into it
She is laid back, just be in class. Pretty easy class. The 2 tests that u take are easy if you took decent lecture notes and study them. She wants to give everyone a chance to pass. She makes good class discussions. Then you have 1 presentation & 1 paper to do. That's pretty much it. Hardly any hw.
What a wonderful, wonderful teacher. Extrememly knowledgable in her field as she used to be a UC-Berkeley professor. Relaxed and fun environment. Really cool personality.
Loved this class. The Dr. Miller is brilliant. Her thought process is very thorough. She is great at teaching. Her tests were very fair; and you'll learn a lot.
Susan is a wonderful teacher. She loves her students and knows that most of us are not math majors. You're allowed notes on the tests, which is a HUGE help. Nobody in our class earned less than a C.
Susan is another fantastic teacher Palomar has to offer. She's really really nice, and does everything she can to make sure you're comfortable with the material; she wants her students to enjoy the class and do well. Her grading/tests/etc are very fair
She is an anwesome teacher. I've yet to find a professor who has even come close to her level of dedication. She is the best!!!
You can use cheat sheet for test! Everybody should pass her statistics class without a problem!
You couldn't ask for a more helpful and kind teacher. She bends over backwards to help you, and using the cheatsheets on the test is awesome. Highly recommended!
WOW! I love this teacher. She's "THE BEST" always redy to help her students understand the material. She's fair and receptive to her students needs and concerns. Awsome teacher!! I Wish I have more teachers like her.
pretty good overall. midterm was killer. movies were very exciting! =] group projects were great. overall, fun class. but readings took forever! be prepared to spend aloooot of time studying!!! thanks dr. miller :)
very willing and able to help students, very nice and easy going. Good presense and personality
I highly recommend another professor. She rarely responds to student needs. The book was terrible and seems as though it were written in 1970; black and white, boring! It was full of errors she neglected to notice as well.
What a great teacher! I highly recommend taking this teacher for statistics. She is willing to help. I took this class in the summer but with the teaching of Susan it made it much easier then expected.
I took the online summer class and I think she's a good professor. Quizzes weren't really easy, but as long as you read the chapters and studied some they were fine. The final was difficult, but I managed an A in the class. She was really willing to help when I emailed her questions too.
She is such a great teacher! Math is so hard for me and she understands that. Every student should take her. She is so great!!!
Dr Miller is incredible. One of the finest teachers I have ever had. If you do do not like math or have a phobia of it i highly reccomend Dr Miller. She will get you through without making you feel stupid.
Take this class if you are dreading taking a math class! She is super easy and helpful and helps everyone to get through it. Easy class, show up and get a good grade. Also, she relates everything to you so its almost like your not even doing math.
Internet Class. Fast Paced class, need to read the material in order to pass class
I took Dr. Miller for stats and Women's Studies and she is one of the best professors I have ever had at Palomar. She is very helpful and cares about her students. Stats was painless due to the fact that she really wants everyone to pass! Go to class, use your study guide and "cheat sheets" and you will have no problems!
Dr. Miller was one of the best teachers I've had at Palomar. She expects a lot from her students, but she really cares about them and will do anything to help. Very understanding, very funny, very kind-- take her if at all possible! She's GREAT!
Dr. Miller is one of the most amazing professors I have had at Palomar. She really cares and somehow clarifys the most confusing concepts. If your lucky youll get into her class.Don't miss any days, she will dock you but, every class is builds on the next one it's easy to get lost. Just don't do it. Thanks Dr. Miller Im going to CSU San Marcos!:)
She is a kick ass teacher! she will help you if you need it and want it!!! she doesn't make anyone feel stupid about not getting the work the first time. she understands what we are going through as students!! you need to take her class if you want to pass stats!!! i suck at math and i got a B in this class. i love teacher!!!
amazing teacher! really cares about her students passing--she is very understanding and cool to talk to. Take her if you need stats! she WILL pass you!
Dr. Miller is a VERY good professor. She has a way of simplifying Behav. Stats so that anyone can understand what they are doing... rather than making it more complicated. Highly recommend her!
Dr. Miller is a great professor. She cares about her students and loves what she does...very refreshing! I feel fortunate to have had her as a professor! :)
Dr. Miller Rocks! I had no interest in women's history proir to taking the class and I learned so much! She is fair in grading and keeps class interestin! I would recommend this class to everyone!
Professor Miller rocks. The assingments are actually fun so you enjoy doing them and you learn a lot. Do the reading and post to the disussion boards (I did online sociology) and you will get a good grade. She is great at responding to questions, and if you have any problems, she will always help. Awesome teacher, awesome class.
I'm not going to say this class was easy, but Dr. Miller really simplified it and proved on a daily basis that she truly cares about her students. She's funny and understanding. Extremely helpful if you are bad at math and need extra help. She chews gum everyday and chomps on it loudly while lecturing but if you can tolerate that, take her :)
Best teacher ever! Love this professor. She changed my life because I have always had a math block until I got this teacher. She really knows how to teach. Show up for every class. If you miss class, you can fall behind.
Took Social Problems 110 online. Here is the thing: She actually reads your work and grades it so you can't be cutting and pasting from Wikipedia or being super flaky. It's an interesting topic but sort of depressing. The teacher is really intelligent and organized. I liked the class ok.
Good teacher, easy assignments. The routine was the same for each section which was nice. Read the chapter, take a test, post to the online discussion board and write a paper. Found it hard to express my opinion in my papers and get a good grade, however telling the teacher what she wants to hear seems to be the key, if you are ok with that.
Took her online course, read each chapter, quiz on each chapter (one a week) and about 1 post every week (only like 250 words a postz) and about 3 diff short essays- which are EASY so dont worry about them. great prof very helpful and always emails back every quickly. Was actually a very interesting class you'll learn some pretty interesting stuff.
Take her online class during SUMMER. She shortens the work load, it's like a regular classload but only 6 weeks long!!
Awesome teacher! She always reviews what is on the test the class before. She is also available for extra help for studying for the tests which I took full advantage of. She made math easy which is extremely hard to do. Take her for SOC/PSYC 205-will make your life so much easier.
Dr. Miller is one of the BEST professors. I had a lot of fun & the Service Learning was a great exp. I rec'd a B & could have easily rec'd an A, but it was my fault. She's clear on what she expects & maps it all out nicely. Be aware tho, the book is heavily used. Over all, wonderful exp & I would take her again. BB posts should b clear & concise.
Not a math person but Miller made it fun and gave me confidence. Easy A if you come to class, pay attention and study. Very clear with directions and easy to approach if you need help. She is aware students dread this class so she does a great job making is as enjoyable as possible. I did better in this statistics class than math 60!
Unless your a math person and if your expecting this class to raise your GPA then your sadly mistaken... it is a hard class but if you put in the effort and work with Dr Miller then you will do fine i did better in this class passed it the First time than in math 60 Loved the class and i will miss Dr. Miller I might take a class of her's at CSUSM!
Love this professor! She is so nice, helpful, and fun! There is homework every week but she gives you time in class to work on it. She gives out study guides and offers optional reviews before tests. I would recommend her to anyone!
lord bless this woman.she is beyond helpful&is a great teacher&thats a understatement.MAth has always been hard for me.I have really bad math anxiety, but she managed to teach at a level where i didn't come into class thinking i was already defeated.I got a B in her class, & that is a miracle. She lets u use a chat sheet4tests:) She is awesome&funny
An amazing prof, fun in class and makes stats easy to learn!! She wants every student to succeed in her class and life!! Sit in the front of class because she writes on board & has alot of visuals. Allows cheat sheets for all exams.
This was an online class using a very effective study system called Connect. Dr. Miller is a very fair grader, but I also never missed an assignment and always tried hard. There is a chapter to read every week, a power point to view, a discussion post, a Connect activity, and a quiz. They are all easy to accomplish quickly.
Throughout the semester Miller showed irrational fluctuations in demeanor and attitude. Often treated the students who corrected her mistakes with disdain and repeated rudeness. Very distracted & unorganized. Despite the easy material and little homework this was my least favorite professor I've had in 8 semesters at Palomar. Shame on you Miller.
This class was very easy but I was not big on the Professor. Sometimes she was kind and detached but on her bad days she came in flustered and snappy. Repeatedly took offense to corrections from students. I got an A in this class and am glad I don't have to deal with her teaching style again.
I wasn't excited about taking this class because math and statistics aren't my favorite thing. Miller helped out so much. We would review before each test and she would hint towards what was on the test. I would definitely recommend this professor.
Dr. miller is very knowledgeable and kind.she is patient with students who are not good with math. Not easy but totally do-able. Recommend totally.
Easiest teacher ever. You get an 8x11 cheat sheet and tests are only 3-4 chapters worth. She explains everything great and will spend extra time if the class is confused. She is hilarious! I was nervous for this class but she made it easy. Print the slides for class and you can just pay attention. Put even defs. on the tests :) EASY. FAV TEACHER!
Awesome Teacher!! Shes very under rated here. She's an amazing teacher and you will have no problems on test. No big final, just a regular exam on finals day. You'll regret not taking her!
This class was okay, the Professor seemed overwhelmed and unhappy to be there though. It was definitely an easy A with very straightforward homework but every time I approached her to ask a question she seemed detached and uninterested.
I'm not sure why the negative remarks regarding Dr. Miller. I took her class last semester and folks...Dr. Miller is by far the "BEST" professor I've ever had at Palomar College. She was very, clear, concise, and straight to the point. Trust me, IGNORE the negative comments from other students...they are none-sense!
Susan is an amazing teacher! i am so glad i had her. barely use of book, i never bought it. she provides students with the info they might need. she gives extra credit and extentions. SHE IS THE BEST! clear and organized and Funny! her class is never boring. very sweet person. would take her again!
She is one of the Best teachers that I have ever had! She wants her students to get a good grade. Very accommodating...if you don't understand she will explain it. Great study guide. Stats is not an easy class but she makes it doable!
If you have to take it online TAKE HER. She paces it so that you don't have too much work each week. She wants everyone to do well, and to just observe the world around them. She's constantly available to help. I hate the stupid essay, but other than that the class is fabulous. Would definitely take her again.
Her online class is totes bs. way more work than a real class and the most conservative rules ever. time limit quizes, you have to come to class to take your tests. REALLY!?!?!?!?!?!
Don't take her online she is very unorganized. A lot of reading, textbook plus another book. Very frustrating
Worst professor ever, very disorganized. Her tests are very challenging for time allotted. She does not help by actually going over your homework. She just puts a check on it. Sending you to the tutors is her way to help you. Not the professor to go with if you need somebody to actually teach you stats.
Dr. Miller is a great lady, but not a great teacher. She is extremely unorganized and rambles on about concepts, just to tell you later you don't need them. She makes homework super easy and gives you the answers. Cheat sheets on tests. Easy teacher, but you don't learn anything.
To sum up the course with one word. Frustrating. Each and every week professor Miller would have at least one mistake in her lesson. She provides no voiced power points, or any original content. She just tells you to read this, do that, its a class filled with busy work, and no concrete learning. Super lazy professor!
Dr. Miller is totally helpful throughout the course. You have to read but she is so helpful. If you are looking for an easy pass no txtbook use this isn't the class for you. I was intimidated because of her phd. She rocked though.
This is a multi one. I took Dr. Miller for 3 different classes. She is not easy, but fair. She is the best online teacher I ever have taken. She makes you read the textbook and tests from it. She will help as long as you try and tell her you're struggling. I received an A, B, and C in the 3 classes. My work improved as my schooling expended.
Had Dr. Miller for a couple of classes. She is not easy, but she is there for her students 110%. It was a privilege to be a part of her class; she is an amazingly brilliant & talented professor who relates well to her students, but do not take advantage! Be in class and engage. Loved math for the first time in my life. Absolutely LOVED her!
took online and really enjoyed the course, great teacher, easy assignments and tests, interesting reading novel, really makes you interested in Sociology, very helpful teacher too
Dr Miller is easy going teacher. She always be there for students, but not help at all. Reach for tutor center is her solution for students. She is very disorganized and make a lot of mistakes during lecture. Even though she make easy for home works by hang out the answer, but rather than that you have to work on your own and not learn anything.
She's amazing! Not a super easy class - I've definitely learned a lot. And for a subject that seemed boring , it's actually become super fun to learn. she's organized and doesn't expect way too much at once from you. Everything is clear and you're likely to do well if you make sure you check due dates. Highly recommend!
Tests are tough in this class, but you are allowed 1 whole sheet of paper as a "cheat sheet" and if you prepare it well enough it is easy to get an A on the tests. There are only 4 tests throughout the semester and none of them are compounded. She will give help to students who need it and she's overall just an awesome teacher. Highly recommended.
Quizzes r from Quizlet & she takes them & turns them into the midterm. The Midterm & final are worded weird & most of the time u have to guess. Focus on the theories the most! Let's u use a notecard on the midterm & final but most of the time it won't help. Has an attitude when u ask about ur grade & BB grades are always messed up. Wont take again!
Professor Miller was absolutely fantastic. Statistics can be very intimidating (especially when taking it online), but she was extremely helpful throughout the duration of the course. She offers review and lab help on campus, so when you need some extra clarity, those are great to go to and make a tremendous difference. Overall, she's great. :)
Participation is not necessary. Do your homework, follow the instructions for the labs, and use the study guides, and you'll get an A. During the tests, you can use a cheat sheet, which is very helpful, but don't wait until the last minute to study. She explains each chapter in different ways, so everyone can understand.
Miller may be all over the place at times but she's cool, if your cool with her. She tends to go with the flow. Encourages you to study and prepare yourself. Posts lectures online. During class she helps out a lot and asks for feedback from students as to what works what doesn't so everyone can learn the material.
This is a very difficult class to take online, but Ms. Miller work with us. She is very accomodating to students that work, and gave us plenty of extra credit opportunities. We only had to do some labs and a review of the final on campus, the rest was online. She always answered our questions clearly even if we asked several times.
Horrible topic. Amazing teacher! Recommend. she does not take attendance but if you miss one class you are setting yourself up to fail just because of the subject
Really awesome professor especially for an online class. Dr. Miller seems like she genuinely cares about her students and their futures. She gives a good amount of extra credit and her discussion boards are not too lengthy either and the quizzes are not too difficult. Final is a paper or test, you can chose which I though was really nice as well.
I took PSYC205, being the last math class I had to take for my major prep-yay! I was terrified because math is my weakest subject. She responded to all questions, helped with assignments, and was available when needed. She provided extra resources to help as well. Thank you Mrs. Miller, you're a lifesaver.
I took this class online. Dr. Miller is very organized and gives you the tools to succeed. She is generous with extra credit opportunities. She grades fair, do your best work and complete all the assignments and you will succeed.
I took her psychology 205 class online and it was really fun ! She does study session and walks us through the labs she assigns. She even gave me a book to use so I wouldnt have to purchase my own. I actually learned a lot without noticing. Online test and in person final were open notes HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Professor Miller is pretty chill overall. Her directions are concise and, for the most part, the key terms sheets and powerpoints that she provides have all of the information you need to succeed. The only thing to be warned about is the fact that she is notoriously unresponsive over email and on the discussion boards. DO THE OPTIONAL HOMEWORK!!
I never thought I would say that I enjoyed a math class, but I really enjoyed Soc/Psych 205. Dr. Miller's class challenged me, & she really worked hard to make sure her class understood concepts. She provided extra credit opportunities and we did homework in class. If you struggle at math like I do, take her class & she'll make sure you succeed.
I loved her!! Shes really funny and wants her students to do well. I was intimidated at first because math isnt my favorite, but her class was organized and I ended up with an A. She also offers a lot of extra credit! Take her!
I have always been bad at math but I am so happy I took Prof Miller for stats. She is so funny and made statistics fun and interesting. Cheat sheets on the exams and lots of extra credit offered. She is not the best at getting back to emails, but other than that this is a great and easy class to take. Highly recommend!
Prof. Miller does not shy away from getting you to really engage with the material she gives you. There was a ton of writing to do on the issues we covered but none of it was a pain. You will leave this class well informed on the many issues facing our world. The books we read were fantastic and I'm still reading a few even after the semester's end
As much as I liked the coursework, she was by far the most difficult teacher I've had. She doesn't respond to emails. It was common for Monday to come around and assignments were not posted in the Module. She also has a habit of posting the wrong assignment or posting late in the week. Makes online schooling hard.
I took psyc 205 as an 8 week online course and I was nervous but her reviews made it seem like it was going to be ok. I don't know if she gives her students extra credit to write them, but she is an awful professor. She NEVER responds to emails, her lectures seriously make no sense and her tests are just as hard. I don't know how I passed.
This was my second time taking Stats 205, and after coming from a horrible professor, it was so refreshing to take this class with Dr. Miller. She corrects the homework in class, gives a lot of extra credit, and can get anyone through this difficult material. She is so caring and really takes her time to identify students individual needs.
Although I took this class online I also had another class with her in person and she is really great and caring! She answers Canvas messages with in a reasonable time. You are allowed to use notes and book during exam. There is a quiz and short assignment per chapter. I recommend the book because the slides she posts do not have all the test info.
She is honestly one of the best professors I have had. She is very caring about her students and very passionate about her work. Statistics was pretty easy for me to follow. She allows notes to be used during test which is great and allows up to 25 points of extra credit, which can be earned in various ways. I'd 100% take another class with her!
This class was pretty good. I took an 8-week fast track online. There are labs throughout the class. She has slides posted weekly. I definitely struggled with the material. You will need to do tutoring or have supplemental videos to watch on certain chapters. If you do all the work and try you'll get a good grade though.
LOVED Dr. Miller! Took her 7-week online class during the pandemic and it was her help that got me through it! She really cares about her students. She provided us with her own lectures (both pre-recorded & via Zoom) as well MANY resources to learn from. If you can stay organized & focused, her class will be interesting, fun, and applicable.
Professor Miller was awesome! I messaged her a few times and she always got back to me. She'd reply at like 12am haha, but she always replied. The chapter review quizzes were kinda tough and timed, with only 1 attempt. The final exam was supposed to be multiple choice but then switched to a short essay last minute. Print out vocab & chap quizzes!
I loved this class I usually hate math and I had taken a statistics class in high school and hated it. Dr. Miller explains things very well and is always there if you have any questions.
Dr. Miller is so kind, respectful, and accommodating to students. She goes through her lectures in detail and always makes sure nobody is left confused. This class consists of optional zooms, study guides and homework in each module. Very easy to understand. I really recommend Dr. Miller, she is too sweet!
Last time I took a math class was Elementary Algebra in 12th grade 9 years ago & I got a D, so taking a Statistics class in college was foreboding for me. Dr. Miller absolutely is the reason I'm passing this Spring 2021 semester with a B. Yes, I read a lot from the online free book she provided but I got so much more out of her lectures. *16 week
The last time I took Math was my freshman year in High School(I suck at math) , but professor Miller is such a caring and understanding professor her class was extremely easy ! All her tests are open notes and she allows study groups which helped A LOT ! Please consider taking her class and helping your classmates! Also LOTS of extra credit !
Straight forward and charismatic. The slower pace helped me understand the concepts. The exams and quizzes (open notes) and group projects (2) were all doable. We had ONE extra credit assignment. All over helpful yet she took some time to respond. (She never responded to my last e-mails, which sucked) and all over seemed disorganized with Canvas.
I took SOC 205 with Dr. Miller in the summer and she is a really great professor. She went the extra mile to help me understand the concepts and also gave really helpful advice for navigating college in general as a returning student. Go to the office hours even if you think you know it all! She is eager to help and WANTS you to succeed.
Professor Miller has been the best professor I have had so far. Very compassionate and understanding. Seriously wants you to succeed if you're willing to work for it. Provides extra credit and office hours. Her lectures always cover the material you see on the exams. Took her fast track class and would take it again. Take her class! Won't regret it
Overall Dr. Miller is a great professor! She is very nice and provides lots of extra help. However, there are 2, 50 point group projects. If you get a bad group just be careful because she grades tough and your group members will bring down your grade! Make sure to watch the lectures and do the concept reviews and you should be fine. Good Luck!
We were given recordings of past lectures. This was helpful but made it hard to ask questions, as we would have to contact her if we had any (which I do not love doing). I ended up with an 88.9% in the class and asked for a bump, she said "no promises" and didn't do it. Ruined my 4.0 :) Dr. Miller did give a few extra credit opportunities, though.
Caring and respectable instructor, class material is clear and understandable. Grading criteria in projects are kinda ambiguous and does not respond to emails too often.
I highly recommend Dr. Miller. I also recommend doing the quizzes sometime before the lecture, as she has it set up. Even if you didn't understand something, she makes it all so easy and clear in her lectures. Great professor, and she cares about her students. She had me laughing pretty good a few times too.
Professor Miller is very helpful and lenient with the due dates for all assignments. She has all the resources posted on canvas (basically could teach yourself). Grades quizzes for each module (not timed, and re-takeable), 3 exams, and 2 projects. All very doable if you ask questions, take notes, and do the work. Overall, would recommend.
Very kind and patient with her students.
Doctor Miller was a fantastic professor! I would recommend this course to anyone and everyone! She is very fair, understanding, caring, and very helpful. She knows how to teach Statistics, and is so patient with her students. She is very clear on grading, and is always there for her students. She offers may extra credit opportunities as well! 10/10
Very organized canvas and clear instructions. Sweet teacher. Keep up with deadlines and follow instructions and you should get a pretty easy A. Great online course, no online meetings just canvas modules.
Was a little nervous to take her 8 week class, but she is the BEST at teaching! Her lectures are so engaging & insightful. Truly cares for her students and is quick to respond to emails! Offers multiple extra credit opportunities. No need to purchase textbook! 2 group projects & 3 exams. Could not recommend her enough!!
Dr. Miller is the best. She was so easy going, helped anybody that needed it and let you leave early if you understood the content. She was also good vibes, and gave me great advice for my next steps after school at Palomar. She goes over everything, tells you exactly what will be on the test, and does a great job making a complicated class easy.
Professor Miller is really good teacher even tho the class was online it was easy to communicate with her via email!! She mainly had quizzes which were really easy and 3 Test. The only bad thing were the group projects since they were assigned groups and they were worth a lot of points and tanked my grade
stats is a hard class to begin with but prof miller made it fun and helped a lot. She is super sweet and when you ask for help she does a wonderful job explaining it. If you struggle with math in general I highly recommend her, she also gives a good amount of extra credit!
She is a good professor in the sense that she is a good person. I took her online course. On exam days, the exams won't be published on time, which will in turn affect my other schedules since I have other exams. Other than this, she is a good professor and the exams and assignments are easy.
This class is fairly easy, but Professor Miller is a tough grader. There are two online group projects which are hard to coordinate with group members, and even if you hit all the criteria it is almost impossible to get an A on the projects. However, all homework assignments are an easy A because you have unlimited tries and answers given to you.
Best teacher. Not hard class everyone can pass just pay attention and do the homework. she truly is the best and actually cares about her students.
This class was terrible. All exams are proctored. But there are so so so many errors and bugs in the course. The lectures are years old and way longer than needed. 5 hours for one topic is crazy. There is a group project we did one minor thing incorrect and got 30 percent knocked off. She makes excuses about grading then has no empathy for others.
Be prepared for her to make every excuse in the book on why somethings wrong. Then never give you any slack. She would only answer stuff in office hours. And getting anything above an 85 on a graded assignment is impossible.
dr miller was an excellent professor who really took her time describing the content and making sure everyone understood. sometimes it did move a little slow but it was ok. there were multiple hw assignments (about 2/week) but they were done in class and a cheat sheet was allowed for exams. can be a little hard to reach outside of class.
I have friends at other colleges who have taken and failed this course multiple times. Dr. Miller has a unique ability to translate what can be very confusing into pure simplicity. I loved this class ONLY because she was the professor. I learned in this class ONLY because of her additional lectures and explanations. Highly Reccomend.
Professor Miller is a fair and caring instructor. The class has quizzes, exams, and group projects, but with the help of tools like unstuck study, the workload is manageable. Overall, a great psychology course worth taking.
Dr Miller LOVES her job and is very good at it! She made ME excited about Stats. She is extremely approachable (by email and Zoom) she does not try to “sabotage” your GPA. Dr Miller will go out of her way to help you comprehend the material and her recorded lectures are great! Be sure to get her before she retires!!
Professor Miller is definitely knowledgeable in her area of expertise. In this class you can expect a lot of Concept Review Quizzes, 3 Exams, and 1 SPSS Group Project. The course can be difficult at times and you do need to study in order to get a good grade.
Took statistics as an 8 week online class and she made it so easy! I'm not a math person at all, but she made sure I got it. She dedicates a lot of time outside of class to helping students
I vetted this Professor, but I overlooked the clear red flags. I would not recommend this class. Stats class is hard enough to begin with, but paired with an unorganized instructor who fails to post modules til the last minute and gets half of the answers on her OWN answer key wrong, you are set up to fail. And the exams are proctored. Just don't.
Dr. Susan Miller is an amazing professor! In all her lecture videos, she explains the material clearly and repeats herself in order to ensure that her students understand! She truly cares about your grade! Make sure to do the extra credit assignments that she provides and to complete all of the assignments in a timely manner.
Dr. Miller teaches with passion. When first attempting homework quizzes, it looks challenging. But after watching lecture videos, everything's clearly explained slowly so that it caters to those who struggle with math/statistics.She's extremely helpful when it comes to reaching out for extra support! Mid-term and final are taken with a cheat sheet!
Very straightforward class (I took it for 8 weeks), no formal lectures. Instead assigned YouTube videos with embedded questions. Optional textbook, short weekly multiple-choice quizzes, and occasional discussion boards. One final project, no final exam. My only complaint would be the awkward due dates, so always be sure to check Canvas regularly.
