She is a very nice professor. Her lectures are kind of pointless, but you have to attend or she takes points off of your grade. She gives out study guids that are exactly what will be on the test, so if you do them, you will get A's and B's. Impossible to fail!
She is a great teacher, human growth & development became my favorite subject. As long as you do the study guide you'll do fine. She take a point off your grade every absence I had a 95 A in her class but missed 5 days so I ended up w/ a 90! So I wouldnt suggest missing class often. She answers most questions w/ ease and is very friendly.
She seemed nice when the class started out, but once time went on-she became more strict and takes points off if you don't show to class once or twice, when on the syllabus it says you can miss 5 classes. She also will NOT bump up your grade if you're on the verge, like having a 69%, she won't bump you up to a 70%.
Be prepared to take NOTES, because thats all you will do in her class, she takes points off for absences &yells at you if you have your phone out. strict proff.
she seem hard but if u take notes and do the study u can pass her class with an A like i did.
She gives you everything you need ahead of time. She tells you what to study & what will be on the test. If you come to class, turn off your phone, and follow her study guide you will do well. There are lots of notes, but she gives you the sheet and you fill it in and there is your test.
I am taking the online class. Prof. Moerschbacher responds very quickly to emails. All the information needed for assignments is given ahead of time and tests were open book. I had no idea what this course would be like but I found after a few chapters it was really very interesting. I would take her again for any classes she was teaching.
I took her online general psychology class. We had tests every few days, but the book was very clear. Prof. Moerschbacher was very helpful and answered questions very quickly. I would take her class again.
She is a very good teacher, always helping her students. She makes the class so interesting... I wish all my teachers were like her!
She is super nice and helpful. She smiles ALL the time, even when she was telling people to put their phones away or stop talking she would just kind of point to them and smile until they stopped...lol. gives the study guides for all the tests at the beginning of the year online. good teacher.
Great class! Don't miss a class and have an 90 average = no final. Do the study guides and you will make an A on every test. Very nice!
Great Teacher. Very easy to work with and wants to see her students do well. Material is easy to understand. If you need Gen Psy, she teaches this as well. Take Gen Psy and Hum Dep at the same time, the material overlaps BIG TIME, which makes it easy peasy!
Excellent professor! I really enjoyed her class. She made the class fun, and enjoyable. Gives study guide for every test, and if you show up to every class then she will excuse you from the final if you like. I enjoyed her teaching style so much I'm taking her for psych.
I took this class 100% online and it was really not difficult. She is very clear on what she wants and responds quickly to emails. Assignments are usually short and to the point. If you are not a big reader and note taker, do the study guides even if it seems long and retain right before the test! You won't regret taking this class.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. She's very helpful and knows what she's doing. Use the study guides for tests and you'll get an A on every single one. She's also hot, which is a plus.
Professor Morsebacher was awesome. She's very clear on what to do and is willing to help you with any questions you have. Do the study guides and briefly review them and you will get at least an 85. Make it through the semester without any unexcused absences and you can opt out of the final exam. Definitely recommend.
Moerschbacher is a great teacher! She is very sweet, teaches the basics of the class that you need to know and will get you a good grade. She isn't always clear when answering questions from students, but not a big problem. She is excellent!
All you do in her class is go over the chapter that you did a test on the night before which isn't that helpful. And if you don't do something her way she'll give you a zero and wont let you make it up.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. She's very helpful and knows what she's doing. Use the study guides for tests and you'll get an A on every single one.
Charming, warm, professional, and helpful, no trickery, but you need to study.
I absolutly loved her!! Best Professor I have ever had! She is sweet, funny, great to get along with, and if you are serious about her class then it is impossible not to make a great grade! I wish all Prof. were like her.I would take her class again in a heartbeat!
She is a great teacher!! Always kind & helpful & quick to answer questions. I took her online & had no issues. If you complete your study guide & read the text, you will make an A. I have taken her for this & DEP2004 & hope to get her next semester for HUM2020. Highly recommended!!
At first she was a very nice teacher, then it all changed. She did respond to emails quickly but became very rude. She does not expect any late work NO MATTER WHAT. My son was very sick and i'm a single mom, go to school full time and have a full time job. She did not care. My other professors were very understanding. But the class is very easy!
Professor Moerschbacher was okay. At first the class seemed a little overwhelming but it was easy to get into the swing of things. I missed a few assignments and still ended up with a good grade so if you do take this class just remember there is a bit of leeway. She was prompt and easy to talk to, offered feedback on many of my assignments.
I took this class fast track and online and I survived. I passed with an A. It was very overwhelming at first. Have an agenda like I did and draw the dates so you don't forget. I did all my assignments a week before it was due. Do it. It will help you. She answers emails quick. Would take her again. If miss assignment, YOU CAN'T MAKE IT UP.
Professor Moerschbacher is the best teacher anyone could possibly ask for. She's kind, extremely interesting, and very helpful. While her class is overwhelming at first, you should quickly adjust. And just an inside tip: if you come to class, she won't make you take the final!
Professor Moerschbacher is seriously the best teacherI have ever had. She goes over everything in class, reminds you constantly when things are due so you don't forget, and gives you a study guide so you know what will be on the test. She's very fair and very nice and always willing to help you and talk to you when you need it.
Took the 6-week time intensive online class. Studied 18 chapters and coursework was very manageable after reading the textbook. You can start the coursework a week before the class officially starts, so get a chapter or two ahead while you can so you don't have to stress when due dates approach!
Best Professor at PSC. Wish she gave all of the psychology courses.
What a wonderful professor! She will do everything in her power to help you understand the material. She has extensive background knowledge on the subject, and has stories to tie into the lessons. This is not an easy-pass class. You will need to do a lot of work, but if interested in psychology, definitely take this class.
Professor Moerschbacher is AWESOME!!! I recommend taking her class to anyone! Super nice, very easy to talk to, compassionate to her students and eager to help her students achieve their goals!!! Absolutely WONDERFUL breath of fresh air to students!!!
Great, fun, easygoing teacher who's classes were very informative and fun to attend. Great sense of humor and if you put some effort into it, the class can be an easy A
She's a great teacher and is extremely kind. She is not a tough grader whatsoever and gives an easy reasonable amount of work. Just take notes during class and read the chapters
Human Development was a blast! We were the pilot semester with a new curriculum, and I loved it. We had weekly quizzes (online, don't panic) and four tests. She gives study guides (follow and you will get an A), so the tests are easy. The final exam is optional, if you attend every class. Also, you get to raise a virtual kid!
If there's something you need to know about Moerschbacher, it's that all of her classes run the same way. I took three of her classes. In General Psychology, expect weekly quizzes (online, don't worry). Also, expect five tests with study guides. The final is optional, if you attend every lecture without fail. Only one paper, too.
Abnormal Psychology was my favorite college course. This was the third class I took from Moerschbacher, so I knew what to expect. Weekly quizzes (online, don't worry). Five tests with study guides, and an optional final exam (if you attend every lecture). There's also a group project at the end, but she gives you plenty of time to get it done.
I took this class online and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prof Moerschbacher is very knowledgeable and eager to help. She was quick to respond to emails. Participation is key in her class. I would definitely take a another course with her.
She is an awesome professor gives study guides for every test and the study guides and identical to the test. Just beware for group work she does pick your partners and her MDLs aren't the same as the book which didn't help, but besides those two minor things I would recommend her to everyone!! Makes the class extremely interesting!
I took this class online, it's a bit overwhelming at first when you look at all the assignments for the course at once. But it's not a lot once the weeks go by. Her tests is the exact same thing as the study guide. And her assigments are like watching 5 minutes video or short paragraph papers needed to be write. It's real easy, and stay aweek ahead
I took this class online and I liked it for the most part. Just note that she accepts no late work. She gives helpful study guides for the tests and since the class is online you have to go to the tlcc to take them and you can't make up tests. Just read the book and you'll be fine.
Just too many tests for a person with a full time job and having to go to PSC often. An online class would be for the purpose of not having to drive to PSC in a constant basis. Other than that, this is a very informative course. The professor uses Launch Pad which is excellent, so you won't need to buy your book is you like to read online.
Took this 6wk online course as a GPA booster. There was an assignment due every day of the week strictly at 11:59pm and no late work accepted. Assignments are made available and then due the very next day, forcing you to do work every day. Working 60hrsweek, I was counting on doing the work for the week in bulk on the weekend. Class wasnt for me
I took PSY2012 Online FT (6weeks). She is very clear about what she expects, what is due, and when. BEWARE the video quiz! they are worth just as much as a discussion, and only a couple of questions, so it's worth your time to really watch and take notes! Otherwise she is quick to reply to questions, and a straightforward grader!
Best online class I've taken! This professor was very organized and very realistic. I took Summer A with her. There were 3 open book quizzes per week, 1 discussion & 2 replies due per week, a total of 4 easy short writing assignments throughout the semester, and a final exam that was based on the given study guide. I got an A in the class. :)
You cannot fail Prof Moerschbacher's class. She is phenomenally wonderful. She understands your motives for going to school and does want to see fail. Although my class was online, I could imagine her as a cheerful, sweet and helpful person. The best by far
Great teacher, I would recommend her to anyone. Very clear and interesting class! I am happy to have her again next semester.
GREAT PROFESSOR!!! Took her hybrid class for psych. Easy, clear, interesting lectures. Shows videos in most classes to change it up. Tests are exactly like study guides. Go to every class and you DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THE FINAL!!! She doesn't accept any late work, but if you do the work you'll make a good grade. Don't slack off. RECOMMENDED!
I took the Hybrid class, excellent format. Reading and online quiz due each week. Discussion posts online every couple weeks, standard expectations for posts and responses. Unit tests come with a comprehensive study guide, tests are pretty easy if you do the guide. Plan on reading a chapter a week and some weeks two.
I LOVED this teacher! She was so helpful. She is always willing to work with you, and stay after class if you have questions.
I love this professor! Grading is spread out through many assignments including 5 tests, 3 writing assignments, weekly quizzes, and a group project. Exams are exactly from the study guides. Class discussions are fun and interesting and she is very clear with assignments and grading. If you have perfect attendance, you don't have to take the final.
She is one of my favorite professors. Her grading is straight-forward, at the beginning of the term she gives you a calendar with all the due dates on it. You have 1 quiz on MyDevelopmentLab per week, and a few other activities. The tests are just like the study guide. Clear as to what she requires for essays, and there is only one group project.
I really enjoyed this class. The professor is caring about her students and prompt with grading. I enjoyed her so much that I am taking another class with her. There are a lot of assignments but all you need to do is put in the time and you will get an "A"!
I had a 97% in this class and got a "C" on the final which brought my grade down to a "B", which was a big bummer. If you take this class make sure you really study for the the final. There was one quiz for each chapter which was pretty simple. A lot of random statistics in the final though. There are also 5 2-page papers to write. Fast grader.
Tests are based on what's on the study guide. If you pay attention to lectures you'll do fine. One paper during the semester, one presentation, and the rest of the grades are tests. Professor Moerschbacher is very nice and is willing to talk to you about anything. She is a trustworthy person among the faculty.
She's a good teacher and she is fair. Her study guides are basically the test and she likes making students work in groups. Her virtual assignments are annoying and there are a few essay papers to write
Professor is fair with grading and easy to reach. Grades consist of the following: Discussion posts with two responses to other students Quizzes you may take numerous times Educational plan AIR project and presentation Read a short book and discuss in class Various other small assignments
Took her for abnormal psychology class online . Her assignments are pretty easy , but the downfall is when it comes to the final , instead of doing a multiple choice study guide , you have word responses and you have to find the answers to the question. Takes along time .... The final was pretty hard . Other than that , thumbs up.
This class was really interactive, and she grades assignments and tests promptly! You won't be left in the dark about your grade. Study guides are to the point and if you do them, you will do well on the tests. Read the chapters, do the homework quizzes, and you will succeed.
Online. Clear syllabus. Fair grader. Returns emails quickly. Does not accept late work. Quiz on every chapter. Discussions every week. 3 papers on virtual child, virtual you, and obituary. Final exam at TLCC. Need book. Caring professor.
Took this class online as a FT1. Overall, I thought it was a relatively easy A. Her instructions are clear. She gives you a study guide to complete throughout the course that is practically the final exam. Quiz for each chapter, a few video quizzes, weekly discussion, as well as a few papers for the virtual life simulators you do.
This is probably the only class I have ever wished was longer. We never seem to finish the lectures but it is mainly because the class participates.
This professor is incredible!! She is awesome in what she teaches!! Your grade is mainly made up of the frequent online quizzes, tests, and the final project. My recommendation is ACTUALLY read the textbook & fill out the study guides!!!! If you study the study guides, you'll be golden!!
I had her for human development. She is not mean and the overall class is fun. The only thing I did not like was that she could be unfair. For example, if students had perfect attendance they did not have to take the final. I ran late once (only 10 minutes), because my bus broke down and now I am forced to take the final because "life is life".
I loved her class up until the final. I had a family emergency and needed to take the final early. She would not help me out what so ever and was very inconsiderate. For that, I had to rate her poorly. So rude and inconsiderate.
I took Abnormal Psychology with Professor Moerschbacher, and she was great. Just make sure you purchase the textbook, there is a lot of reading but you should be fine, a couple short quizzes a couple easy 1.5-2 page papers and a final, mind you I took her for a 6 week course and it was not as bad as i thought it would be. She also really cares!
This class requires an insane amount of reading. As someone with a reading disorder, I was scared. Luckily, the textbook comes with an audible version built in. I had little to no interaction with the teacher so I can not speak for her character. The class is easy if you do all of the work to the best of your ability. Loved the class overall.
I took this as a 6-week course and if you do all the work she wants you to do you will pass! She is very respected and wants you to succeed in this course. You are required to use Pearson revel which seems like a whole lot of busywork in my opinion.
Dr. Moerschacher is pretty easy going. This is a first-year seminar class so there's a lot of involvement in school activities. You are usually in class but sometimes if any presentations or activities are going on she'll let you be a part of it. There is also A.I.R. Project and you do work on it in class plenty throughout the semester.
There's a chapter quiz every week along with the Virtual Life simulation. There are unit tests every couple of chapters, but if you look at the study guides they are really easy. There is one group project towards the end, but it was very straightforward. If you don't miss class during the whole semester, you don't have to take the final.
She was okay I just feel like she made the class harder than it needed to be.
Great professor. 5 Ted Talk assignments for the Summer term, a final, and learning curves and practice quizzes through Macmillan learning. Would take again.
Great professor. Makes the class easy & routine. Test are very straight forward, actually teaches the text book in and understand way, and gets the class working together. Would take again.
I took this class as a 6-week course and definitely would only recommend doing that if you have A LOT of time. I have a reading disorder so I found myself struggling to get the reading done (2 LONG chapters/week). Despite this, I still did very very well in this class. Just a huge time commitment. If you do the work, you will pass.
The work is pretty basic. Almost the same thing the whole semester. As long as you do your work and stay on track your grade should not decline. She grades tough on group discussions. Was helpful if asked but wasnt very involved.
Very nice professor and great class. Consists of textbook usage and assignments from it, as well as 5 or short essays. The class is easy to pass as long as you put in a little effort. One thing that some may not like is that she wasn't heavily involved. She gave feedback on assignments, but mostly everything was done on your own.
I enjoyed PSY but it is a LOT of reading. As long as you read and understand what you are reading passing the class is not difficult. She answers questions quickly and has no problem with how many you ask. She also gives good feedback.
The professor adequately set up the class and prepared you with what to expect from the entire semester day one. Feedback is provided on all written assignments if points were taken off. A lot of quizzes so you have to read each chapter. Study guide provided for the final ultimately setting you up for success if you do it.
Prof. Moerschbacher wasn't an awful teacher, but there are definitely better choices. The due dates for her assignments were always odd (ex: discussion posts due Tuesday every week), and some of the assignments seemed excessive. However, she did provide a useful study guide for the final, which is always appreciated!
This Professor is one of those who take an easy class and tries to make it more difficult. She is rude when asked questions and lied in a situation we had. The workload was heavy and she assigned unnecessary busywork. Busy work is for Kindergartners not adults who have other important responsibilities in their life aside from their education.
Professor Moerschbacher gives a discussion to do every week, and most of the time they are pretty lengthy discussions to write. The class wasn't too hard, it was just a lot of work. But also, beware of deadlines because they are oddly placed.
Definitely knows her stuff when it comes to psychology! I really learned a lot in her class. She does assign more homework than others but it really helps you take in the material. You will have to put some work in to get an A in the class. Also, her due dates are usually in the middle of the week or Friday rather than Sundays so keep that in mind!
Professor Moerschbacher was an amazing teacher. She was quite helpful and detailed in her instructions. You had an assignment every day, but they were simple and took no more than 30 minutes, if not an hour. She rounded up grades at the end of the semester, which was very appreciated. Responds to emails quickly.
The professor is super sweet and gives amazing feedback on EVERYTHING. You can tell she really enjoys her job. The class itself isn't hard it's just a lot, but if you do it, it's an easy A. There's a discussion post due every week, sometimes they can be lengthy. Make sure to get it all done and you will be fine!
Took face-to-face and be ready to take notes but she has her powerpoints online and gets everything from the book so you can take the notes at home. Just remember to turn homework in before its due since the program doesn't allow late assignments. Use the study guides for tests and you should be good. You get good vibes from the teacher. Love her!
I learned a lot from this class. There are assignments due almost every day, but it isn't anything too crazy. As long as you do the reading, it's pretty straightforward. The professor gives great feedback and an extra credit assignment was given at the end of the course that goes towards your final.
Easy class, DB are lengthy, give study guide for final, the study guide is literally the exam. She answer emails quick . The quizzes are like 8-12 questions and easy.
I enjoyed Professor Moerschbacher and her human development class! I took it online during the summer semester. A great class to take online! Very straightforward assignments, quizzes, and tests.
I took this class as a fast track class and passed it with an 80. On
She made DEP2004 a breeze! I took this as an eight week session course which made me nervous for the workload, but she made everything clear and organized! Graded based on Achieve quizzes, discussion posts, and a 100-question multiple choice exam that is easy as long as you did the work throughout the class! Would take a course with her again!
Very nice and caring Professor who truly cares about her students and has an awesome environment regarding her class!
I have learned so much from this professor. She makes it clear what is expected of you so there will be no surprises. You only get one chance at extra credit so take advantage. If you attend class regularly and do your assignments, you will do great.
Great and easy class if you jsut get the work done on time. Disscussion posts are lengthy and take time. The response to two people also need to be pretty lengthy. My only issue with this professor is she is the most unreasonable professor there is. She will not work with you if you have issues come up and can not complete the assignmnet on time.
Professor Moerschbacher was a great professor this summer of 2023 for a 6-week course. All assignments have clear direction and you're to work ahead as fast as you would like. There are about 4 discussion posts and they're lengthy along with the 2 responses to two classmates. She also responds very quickly to emails. If you do the work you'll be fine
Professor Susan Moerschbacher is a very easy professor, keep your assignments on time, and you be fine. Responds to emails quickly. I take the summer fast track ( 6 weeks) and find it very easy.
Professor Moerschbacher is very sweet and kind. She truly cares about all of her students, and attendance is mandatory. You have to do all of her discussions. There are four, and you must reply to two other students. But you have to complete her assignments on Achieve. Let me tell you that there is a final exam and it has 100 questions.
This was a great class teacher is understadning theres extra credit she gives none of the quizes need honorlock its all online and the final was so easy. liked this professor a lot !
Professor Susan Moerschbacher assigns lots of homework and is a tough grader.
Susie Moerschbacher does not use honorlock on any assignments or on the final test. She responds to emails quickly and respectfully. I took her online and I found it to be easy, just be sure to stay on top of your assignments.
The class was pretty straightforward so long as you read the syllabus, read the material and complete all the assignments. My only complaint was that she didn't let you work ahead despite the modules being broken up and you have to login everyday because all the assignments had different due dates. Would take again.
I took her online for fast-track so there was a lot of work, but she was amazing. She was always sweet in her emails and in feedback on assignments! I'd say that she does really stick to her rubric and policies, but if you show that you're trying your best and you're passionate about learning she will respect you. I love prof Moerschbacher!!
Had the entire class structure laid out the first day. I did the 8 week fast-track so we covered a lot of material each week. Overall, pretty straightforward and simple, just take notes and do the daily assignments. Doing this makes it an easy A class :)
Dr. Moerschbacher is very kind. All the test answers come directly from the textbook (minus the applied knowledge questions). If you have more specific questions on a topic she is willing to explain to the necessary depth. The class was a lot of reading, but it's very enjoyable and interactive. Would definitely take her again if I could.
Professor Moerschbacher's class is straightforward if you stay on top of the work. The assignments can be time-consuming, but using resources like unstuck study helps streamline study prep. Attendance is mandatory, but the course is manageable with dedication.
The professor gives clear instructions and grading criteria, requires participation and group project. The content is really interesting and easy if you read the textbook based on her study guides. Tests all multiple choice. Overall the professor is really nice and I would take other classes by her again!
I LOVED Mrs.Moerschbacher! She was very nice and caring for all of her students and if you ever struggled she was going to be there for you. Her tests are fairly easy if you study her study guides she provides. I didn't really read the textbook at all just because her lectures pretty much covered the chapters. 1 group project. Great professor!
I liked her at the beginning of the semester and that slowly decreased as the semester went on. The tests are easy as long as you study her study guide. There is 1 massive group project at the end of the semester where she is very unreasonable. She's a very tough grader and her online class is MUCH easier than her in person. Trust me, I've compared
Please take a different professor if you have the option. She is not understanding whatsoever and takes very long to respond to emails. Very wishy washy when it comes to grading and getting grades put in at a decent time. Do not ever ask for extra credit or a second chance on an assignment. Multiple assignments a week sometimes 2+ daily.
She gives "pre-tests" before EVERY lecture; no problem except for the fact they're graded, and based on material she hasn't technically taught yet (She'll teach it day of). During the group project, if you miss a day, you have points docked off. You can miss 3 days, and each time you're late or you leave early it counts as "half-a-day". TAKE ONLINE
I took Professor Moerschbacher for Human Development this last semester, I really liked how involved she was with the class compared to other professors and their online classes. All her work is to be completed through Achieve and self-grades for each practice chapter test. She has about 4 writing assignments, nothing too hard to complete. Easy A.
