Shes tough as nails but knows what shes talking about. Very hard class, make sure youre always studying and know the lecture well. Always do HW
Had her for college algebra. she appears cold and distant in class, but when I needed extra help I went to her office hours she was more than willing to help me. something that ppl dont know is that she gives extra credit to students who come to office hours. The class is HARD, but you cant blame the teacher. all of the MAC 1105 classes are hard
Easy class if you know high school algebra, and you study the review exams the class is easy.
Has a Bad accent. Homework is a must to complete. Also try not to miss any of the Labs for this class.
Her tests are tough and meant to push you a little farther than what she covers in class. In theory its idealistic and in application it didn't fare well with me or the class, however, she was flexible to accommodate our comfort level with the material, which was very much appreciated. She was very approachable and kind, and listened to my issues
Nice teacher, use the review tests and show up to class and you shouldnt have a problem.
The class is hard no matter what teacher. She is distant in class, but if you ask for help, she always gives it to you. Make sure to go to the labs as well and get extra help. I got an A, but I worked hard.
Hard class but she does a great job teaching. She spends most of the time lecturing. She forgets to take attendance often. She doesn't assign book homework but I recommend it for an A in the class.
Has an accent. She won't help you during class, you HAVE to come to office hours if you have a question. Some of the reviews were completely off from the tests. If you want to pass, I suggest going to office hours STRONGLY
She is an excellent professor. Clear and organized in her instructions. She explains the material a thousant times till we all understand evrything. She gives you a good idea of what to expect in the exam. She is fair and professional. Take her if you can. I am glad I did. She has a British like accent. Very nice appearance. A+
Bad Accent !!! Do not explain anything in class. If you go to office hours she is not there. I got help from the lab to understand the material. Please avoid her !!!
GREAT TEACHER! Don't need to buy the book - just take her notes and you'll be fine. I thought she was very easy to understand, very caring and really funny too. I would recommend her to any of my friends.
She is an excellent professor. One of the best I had at FAU so far. She has a highly educated British accent. speaks slow and clear. She is well organized, clear and just a terrific teacher. If you take her class, do your homework, and listen in class, you will get a good grade. She is very fair grader. I wish I had her for my other math classes.
Listen guys: After taking other Math prof at FAU, she is the best BY FAR. She is clear, organized and controls the class well. If you don't understand something during class, don't be shy: Ask.. Just Ask. She will go over it till everyone understands. Its up to you to be vocal. Do what she recommends and show a positive attitude. You'll do well.
Attendance is taken just about every day. The main reason it is a challenge to some people is because of her accent and style of teaching certain chapters. Although, Algebra is a challenging subject as it is.
Sweet woman. Amusing sense of humor. Knows her stuff very well. Homework a must. Attendance almost daily. She was helpful to me.
Great professor, she actually enjoys her job. May seem like a hard ass in class but she is always willing to take the time to help. Do the hw and attend class, no curve. The course is fairly fast paced overall, but she does a good job especially with her lil slick comments and jokes.
i had her for college algebra. she is one of the coolest teachers around. don't be afraid to talk to her if u get to class a little early. i wish i could take her again. she may not always explain things the best, but she will sit with you and try to help you as much as she can. and sit int he front!!!!!!!!!!!!
very good. extremely clear and very fair
Her accent makes me want to pay attention because it is British. Is funny at times. Dont work on other hw. keep cells off. Go for the notes and do the HW. She is willing to help and gives loads of examples in Class. Great math teacher.
AWESOME algebra professor. She is a good teacher and will explain something until everyone understands. If you have to take this class, take it with her!
i had her for college algebra and she is one of the best professors ive had. she really wants you to understand the material and will do whatever she can to help you. she is very personable and easy to talk to and ask questions. just do all of your homework and sit in the front row and youll be golden.
She has to be one of the best teachers at FAU... I highly recommend her, if u go to class take notes and do your homework your good. Just make sure u stay off the computer and keep ur phones away in her class. other then that i would say she is a great teacher.
She a great, well spoken instuctor. She help anyone who asks a question. Best teacher ive had at fau. She does get angry sometimes when your on computer or earfones. Just learn the math and your good.
Best algebra teacher EVER. All she asks is that you pay attention during class time and you are guaranteed to understand. Extremely helpful, has class involvement, and tells some jokes. TAKE HER.
I definately recommend you take her for college algebra, very easy-going lady who can teach the material. The only bad part about this class was the homework on mymathlab(took me forever to do) but I did very well in this class. Do the sample exams and attend class and you'll do fine
Do not take this class and expect it to be easy. Do your homework before the tests and study. Go to the math lab. If you don't you'll fail. It's simple. She is a good teacher, but you don't learn from her mainly, you learn from mymathlab.
You'll be doing lots of work in this class and you'll need to be a very motivated person to keep up. Almost all assignments will be in mymathlab, and they are mandatory. Also, you MUST attend all labs to pass. If your not going to go to all classes and all labs than I would definitely not take a course with this professor
I'm actually in her class right now writing this lol. Shea a great teacher, knows exactly what she's talking about and if you have a question on a test she will help you with it if you need. Overall great teacher, really easy class if you know what your doing, don't really need to pay attention either.
Her accent kept me focused. Great teacher. Funny sometimes. Teaches very well. I would recommend her for anyone who doesnt mind doing a lil work and studying. Not an easy A, requires a little bit of work.
ABSOUTLE WORST. END OF STORY. FAU MATH DEPT SUCKS.
NO. RUN. LEAVE. GO AS FAR AS YOU CAN. SHE WILL FLY THROUGH MATERIAL WAY TO QUICKLY. SHE ALSO TENDS TO DRIFT AND WILL RANDOMLY STOP CLASS TO FOCUS ON, WELL FOR EXAMPLE, " THE SECOND ROW FROM THE BACK" EVERYDAY...
The course is hard, and the material flies by fast. In order to pass this class you MUST do homework and study on your own FOR MANY HOURS. Attendance mandatory. This is not Moosai's fault. She does what she has to do, and is available in her office if you need help. She's funny and is a nice person. HOWEVER, turn off your cell phones or be eaten.
If math is a difficult subject for you, stay away from this professor. Her notes are all over the place and lessons are hard to follow. Be prepared to sit countless hours on mymathlab to even begin to understand the material. She's more concerned with kicking people out for TEXTING than teaching the class. She thinks she's funny...but she's not. :(
Moosai is a good teacher. She cares for her students, though she does get annoying with the phone nonsense. She'll call you out if you're doing anything other than math, and kinda talk to the class like everyone is stupid. However, she does teach well and will eventually smile at you, and if she remembers your name, you are probably on her good sid
She's a great teacher. You're the one who has to put in the effort. Her accent is great and understandable which makes following along easier. Take her! She's the best option for Algebra at FAU, and she's always available in her office hours.
She really cares if her students learn. She makes fun of people a lot but shes usually just kidding around. Dont show your phone! The class isnt an easy A but theres extra credit on each test and the lab is another portion of your grade so theres other ways to boost your grade. Just go to class & lab, take notes & do the hw. I passed with an A
This class goes by very fast so you have to keep up with the homework. Moosai is everywhere with the notes but as long as you go to the reviews before every test and the lab you will survive.
Absolutely hated her. Horrible teacher all she worries about is calling out students and making them feel dumb. Makes you not want to go to class. Definitely try to take this with another professor.
She knows what she's teaching and tries to make it simple. She is very strict however with attendance and paying attention in class- she will call you out! Overall, if you attend class and take notes you should be fine in her class. I dont like math but I did fine :)
she's very strict when it comes to attendance and paying attention in class. Don't text or you will definitely be called out! Tests are pretty hard, make sure to do all your course compass homework!
She is a great teacher! She speaks clearly and is willing to answer all questions. I found her humor comical. She goes through the material quickly but if you pay attention you'll be fine.
Prof. Moosai is very helpful and wants her students to pass. She is a very good teacher and pushes her students to do well. She makes the concepts very clear.
She is fast to follow and yells at students often for their phones so dont take them out. She is kind of hard to understand due to her accent. I suggest not to take her because she goes to quickly and her notes are a little hard to understand. Although she is always available during office hours.
She is an excellent teacher, very organized and clear, and very pleasant. She explains everything very clearly, and always willing to help. If you are serious about learning, and not just a lazy complainer, take her, show up in class, do the work, and you will do very well. Most other professors in this subjects are really bad, so you will be glad
She is a great professor: explains the material very clearly, organized and always willing to help. She is funny, cool and very patient. I liked her teaching. Comparing to other math professors, she is by far the BEST one. Trust me I have tried others and had difficulties. So this is the one to take. Best of luck.
Dr Moosai is a great instructor, She cares about the students and does require respect in the classroom. The math department at FAU is horrible to begin with so dont expect much. If you cant take Xu who is the STA director then take Moosai. All professors use the same test bank and some answers are wrong so you get screwed sometimes. Great Prof tho
Goes over the material in class, gives examples. Does not curve. Spoon feeds the students and asks if there are any questions. Pay attention and practice. If you dont get something, ask her, she is very helpful. One of the best math classes and professor's I have taken at FAU.
If you like being treated like a little kid then you'll love her. You can't look away from the board for a second, if your phone rings it's like getting a detention. She holds you past class time every day and if you're like me and try to leave early (on time) you get called out. Would recommend her if you want a "different" college experience.
Horrible subject to begin with. She doesn't explain things clear at all. Goes way too fast. Always trying to call someone out to see if they get it, and when they don't she gets mad. She seems nice, but she is just horrible at teaching. Quizzes every week. Most of the things she uses as examples are verbally and not written on the board.
Professor Moosai, despite what some people may say about her, is actually a really great professor. Although she likes to put people on the spot and make you uncomfortable, she never turns a student down and will always help. She's sarcastic and sensitive people probably shouldn't take her, but in all honesty.. this is a guaranteed A.
She is the definition of who a college professor should be and how they should teach. She does not hand you the answers on a silver platter but if you put the work in she will make sure you understand the work. If you go to every class and keep up with the work then it is an easy A. She can be tough on you but she is also very understanding.
She is annoying and calls you out for your phone and if you leave early, etc., but you can tell she's passionate about the subject and teaches it very well. the weekly quizzes are awesome for extra cred points and she gives you 100% on like 2 of them just for showing up. Shes the better stats teacher, i heard the other 1 you wont know whats goin on
This is my second time taking Professor Moosai. If she is available for the math that you are taking, arrange your schedule to make sure that you take her, she is an excellent teacher. Even if math isn't your thing, she is your best shot of not only passing the class, but learning the material.
I do not recommend this class at all. Dr. Moosai changed her grading syllabus AFTER everyone took her final which lowered everyone 6% points. I suggest finding a more professional teacher for this course.
Dr. Moosai is a terrible professor. She does not explain the material clearly at all. There's a quiz and/or exam every lab class. Do not take her.
Dr. Moosai is an excellent, teacher. She is very passionate about math and she expects her students to at least try to be. Go to class, pay attention, turn your brain on and participate. She calls on students to engage the class and assist in the learning process. Reach out to her respectfully and she will help. No cell phones, its common courtesy.
I hate math because I suck at it but this prof. made it easy for me. She really cares about her students and if she ever holds a review, GO! Every other stats prof sucks and failing but she will make sure you pass if you put in effort. She calls people out in class only to make sure you're paying attention. TAKE HER!
Dr. Moosai is GREAT! She knows how to explain the material in a clear manner. You do however need to put in effort and extra time studying if you want that A.
Dr.Moosai is a GREAT professor. She know how to explain the information in an understandable way. However, you do need to put in the effort for extra studying if you want that A.
Not a fan of her calling people out and humiliating them for thinking slowly or not understanding how to do problems but she's a great professor and she's funny. She's passionate, she can be understanding and she cares about her students which is really encouraging. The online interface for quizzes / tests doesn't parallel her lectures completely.
excellent teacher. you'll do just fine on the tests and quizzes if you do the homework and study plans because they're all the same questions. she really wants the class to understand but i feel like she gets annoyed when a student doesn't know something and she makes it obvious. but i definitely recommend her
Prof. Moosai was a good teacher, but the class was really fast paced and there were a lot that the TA could not cover in the lab. Mymathlab helped A LOT though, but don’t wait until the last minute to complete it or you will fall behind.
She was very clear when explaining concepts. Take her all the other stats student with different teachers failed. She drops two of the lowest quiz grades and the tests and quizzes have extra credit points. She wants us to think critically and interact with each other when we need help, but the lab ta's were helpful. I received an A in her class.
She is tough at first and moves quickly due to lack of time during lectures, so most of the class is based on MyMathLab. If you come to class and work ahead on the homework you will easily pass. She is available after hours and tries to be fair as fair as the difficultly of her tests. I struggled at first but by the end I received an A.
Fail Proof. This was my 4th time taking statistics. Obviously it is not my fortay. Mainly self taught. Stay on top of your studying. Put the time in, you will pass. (USE THE STUDY PLAN!! Tests are basically the same as that) I did bad on most tests, but if you do all other assignments prior to due date, you will be fine! (4 tries to get right answ)
To be honest, this was a hard class yet it is possible to get an A if you pay attention in the lectures and if you do your homework. She is really the best teacher in this subject, she knows how to explain and she won't hesitate to help. she is strict (no phones or talking), just be polite and listen.
This class is manageable if you work hard. This is not a class where you can slack off. A quiz each week followed by an exam. All questions on exams are from homework/quizzes so do those. Her TA's SI sessions are helpful but sometimes can be confusing. She explains things well but expects you to do your own reviewing. Iclicker attendance each class
Dr. Moosai is the best math teacher I have ever had. You MUST do the study plan, the homework and attend classes. If you do these three things from day 1, you will have no problem getting an A.
This class is very hard but doable. You cannot slack off, attend the SI Sessions, do the homework, and study hard for the test they are the main part of your grade. Attendance is only 4% so don't stress yourself about that but Labs are mandatory. Howeve, Summer 2014 is Moosai last semester teaching Stats, she's now teaching Pre-Calc/Calc.
Do not take this class with her. She says one thing and contradicts herself in the next sentence. I'm not sure if she understands the material herself but she is terrible at conveying it to students. Can be rude. And I didn't get the grade I deserved yet can't tell you why since she won't explain herself. Do whatever you can to avoid her class.
She is a tough professor but you do learn a good deal from her. Online homework every week and a quiz at the end of the week. If you study a bit and do the Homework you will pass pretty easily. Stats was my worst subject and I had to retake it. With her a passed it with semi-minimal effort. But must come to class and participate!
Made off with a D the first time around, the second with this professor helped me a lot. She took time to take into account what we were saying to help us learn all the material, and she was funny. Do the online homework and go to the math learning center and your good.
I am so conflicted about Dr. Moosai. On one hand, she's absolutely hilarious, v. nice & helpful. On the other, her teaching style was not my cup of tea (i.e. worked out examples in the book). I got an A ( I 3 calculus), but the class avg was a C. Grade is VERY dependent on your 4 + Final exams. Do the homework & take advantage of the Math Lab.
This a tough class but she makes it almost impossible to fail because of EC and second attempts at tests. Would recommend
Dr. Moosai is not the best professor. She does not explain the material clearly at all. There's a quiz and/or exam every lab class. She moves very fast! & Expects you to know the material. more than half of the class withdrew
Prof Moosai is a great teacher. Yes she is teaching Calc so its hard but she acts really tough but is there to help you. As long as you put the time in you should be fine, she lets you correct any test with silly mistakes.
Her class is passable--you just have to dedicate your time for it. If math was never your strong suit, you will struggle in this class. She moves quickly, and will always give a quiz or a test once a week. She does curve on tests. If you have a background in calculus, this class will be a lot easier.
Moosai is a typical calculus professor. Her grading is very clear and is written out at the beginning of the semester. Lectures are boring, and a waste of time, using online resources and practice prepares you much more for exams opposed to her lectures.
This professor loves to throw you off on the exams and final. I really though from the deepest of my heart she could guide us to the right direction with the final since most of the class depended on that grade, instead she made us study some reviews that had nothing to do with the final!! And mostly everyone failed! DO NOT TAKE HER!
Dr. Moosai is a great teacher, she can be very sarcastic but it makes the class fun. Attendance isn't taken but it is most definitely needed so that you can pass the class. There is a quiz every week and a test every two weeks. Do the reviews and you will do just fine.
Dr. Moosai is a great professor and makes Methods of Calculus fun. I highly recommend her. She has a great sense of humor. Probably one of the best math teachers I ever had. As long as you pay attention and do the homeworks and online reviews, you should be fine.
She was nice, but she didn't really teach the material you were tested on. The program was "mathlabs" and the tests were a lot more complex than what she taught. I basically gave up and tried to learn it on my own. She means well though. You give at least a little effort you should do fine.
Dr Moosai is a Ok professor. I guess in some ways I was on her bad side because I would either participate too much or not enough. It was hard to approach her because she talked down. Expected students to know the material before class, then explained it in the most confusing manner. I recommend you learn off of MyLabs as it will explain it better
Honestly she's not that bad, it's the material and the way she presents it. You really have to understand and if you're a slow learner like me I wouldn't recommend her. She expects us to know somewhat of the material like we've seen it before and kinda gets upset when you don't know it. She also picks on people which could be very intimidating.
Not an easy class! pay attention and go to tutoring.
Dr. Moosai is a good math professor. She teaches in a way that makes math easy to understand. If you haven't taken a math class in a while, I would highly recommend reviewing some basic algebra. The exams are nothing like the reviews she gives but going over the quizzes helps. There are 4 exams and a final as well as a quiz every week.
Dr. Moosai was seen as one of the hardest professors as noted by my classmates. However I disagree since her class was one of the easiest i took in fau. The only way to pass is to study mymath labs homework questions and review problems. If you follow this strategy, i guarantee you that you will get at least a B.
Makes math class more enjoyable and I hate math.
Moosai wasn't a terrible teacher, but she wasn't great either. I just really wouldn't recommend her if you are a slow learner and don't really understand math. She expects you to know things and will get mad when you don't. Relied on teaching myself and had to get a tutor.
Moosai is a hilarious person, but this class is not easy. Do not take if you're a slow learner or do not get math. You can pass this class if you do ALL the homework and practice exams/quizzes (even tho they are nothing like the real thing) and maybe get a tutor. She's fast paced and focuses on steps, rather than answers.
The examples that she goes over class are fairly easy but the homework ones are much harder, you have to figure it out yourself, the ones from the tests are somewhere in the middle. Her test reviews are a waste of time, she just grazes over the topic. You have to put in the time to pass the class.
at the time of this, she is the department head so any changes that need to happen start with her. She is an amazing teacher. It isnt the easiest stuff but she really does apply a common sense with some jokes approach to it and it actually helps the whole process. 1,000% recommend her if you want to learn what you're doing. drops lowest Exam.
Dr. Moosai is a great professor! Methods of Calculus is a difficult class and the content is confusing. Dr. Moosai teaches the steps for each type of problem. She also does a review in class before the test. If you attend the lecture and complete the class you should do well. Partial credit is also given on exams, it helps a lot.
Considering calc is hard, Dr. Moosai made it easy to understand. Sit in the front and take note of every step she explains if you want to pass. HW and Exams are taken through MyMathLab, and she gives partial credit for simple mistakes by this program. Don't be afraid to ask questions, has a sense of humor and is always willing to help.
Class consists of homework, quizzes, and tests. Examples in class are easier than the HW. Has a test review the class before the exam. The exams are around ten questions based on her review questions. Has a sense of humor and makes jokes during class to have fun. Take her overall pretty easy, but can be a little fast paced if your not good at math
Apparently used to be great but took a turn for the worse. Bad attitude. Rushed lectures for the 2nd half of the class, graded very harshly on the one paper we had - got a 75 when 90+ is the norm for me on projects, did not adequately prepare us for later chapters. Online homework system is ASS, was expecting an A in this class but got a B.
If you need to take stats Id recommend taking Moosai for the 6 week summer term. Easy class as long as you pay attention & its over super quickly.
Took Moosai over the summer for Intro Stats, would recommend.
Dr. Moosai cares about her students and is always willing to help, but she will not baby you! The class itself is pretty straightforward, although she lectures a bit fast she never leaves you in the dark and will revisit material. I'm not that good at math but if you're willing to put in the work she makes it very doable. No shortcuts here.
College algebra is super easy. Attendance only taken on test/quiz days. Moosai can overcomplicate things but you use MyMathLab for homework which has good explanations. Lectures really not necessary. Don't sit in the back. She calls on random people and tends to degrade students if they get something wrong. Not a bad professor, but not great.
The professor was fine. She wasn't going to spoon feed you and expected you to put in your side of the work. She would put in an equal amount of effort and would go back and review material during lecture if she saw many students were confused. Her lectures aren't necessary to attend, just the labs as they took attendance. We used Mymathlab.
I took her for Business Calculus online during COVID over the summer and she's funny but only when you aren't in the hot seat. She is condescending, whether or not you answer incorrectly during lecture doesn't matter because she will still call you out and embarrass you. She teaches with the textbook and doesn't want to teach for long.
She is caring and wants to make sure you understand, so she will call you out during lectures. Last time I took a math course was 10 years ago, this was not an easy course, you also need to attend tutoring and ask questions during class. The class consisted of 3 exams and a final 20 Q each. Her exam formats were exactly like the HW assignments.
She doesnt answer emails and makes up rules as we go along
Lectures are worthless because you learn all your material through ALEKS. She really gets worked up if you don't participate in lectures, but she means well. She is a nice person and teaches the material well. I personally like that I can learn on my own through ALEKS, but if you are someone who liked being taught she's very good at explaining.
Easy class. All the assignments are on ALEKS with some extra credit through the TAs study sessions.
I found her to be very rude during lectures, she yells a lot. She would often send mass emails to her students that were written poorly in terms of grammar, and they often featured ALL CAPS!!!! to express when we were being yelled at. I found the class to be easy, but Dr. Moosai was very unprofessional. Skip the lectures if you can just learn DIY.
I took this professor for College Algebra and it was a fully online class. She had a live zoom lecture once a week, but attendance wasnt mandatory. The entire course was on MyMath Lab and there were about 5 hours of assignments per week. The program did a good job to teach you how to do the work and the quizzes/ tests were very similar to the hw
She simply does not care about her students. She tries to embarrass us when we ask a question and her lectures are the longest, most boring ,and uninformative lectures ive ever been forced to sit through. AVOID THIS PROFFESSOR AT ALL COSTS!!! Seriously, dont make the same mistake I made. I wish I could rate her in the negatives.
Does not care ab her students. Videos provided in the HW help more than her. Makes up rules as the class goes. I didn't go to any lectures and taught myself everything. With 100% on every HW and got 7.6 questions wrong IN TOTAL (72 questions) on the exams and had to get over an 80 on the final to get an A in the class. Do not take this professor.
Avoid this teacher at all costs. She does not care to help students and when you ask a question in class she will make you feel stupid for asking. Rude and does not want to help when asked. some exams given there is not enough time to complete them and therefore if you run out of time she will not do anything to help you. AVOID THIS CLASS
I've never had such a condescending professor. I've been to a few classes in which she teaches a lesson and the 2 minute videos that were provided in HW taught better than her 2 hour lectures. She talks down to people, does not cooperate in any way, and is not interested in hearing any excuses even if they're technical.
This class was literally easier than college algebra. I took it over the summer and ended with a 96. Class is made up of weekly homework assignments and exams and a cumulative final. Watch the videos in the homework assignments because they help more than her lectures. She also made accommodations for students on numerous occasions. Great professor
Clear expectations from the start, yes Calc is difficult but Moosai makes it bearable to pass the class. HW will take time so don't wait until last min and all Quizzes are 12 questions from the HW at random & Exam is 30 questions from specific chapters in class. You have a good chance of getting a C or above in this class if u do ur work on time
Would not round my grade up 1% and ruined my 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Would not recommend taking this class. There is no real instruction for any of the lessons. She clips YouTube videos for the math hw and thats it. I taught myself the whole course through youtube. Not impossible but time consuming. If youre not strong in math I would skip this professor.
This Professor was one of the worst professors I had the displeasure of learning from. She would make fun of students who she called on and got the answer wrong. Her teaching style is very condescending and she treats her students like they should already be experts in the material. Get the hell out while you can.
Although I have had prior exposure to the material, I still think her class is super easy. The homework is everything. In reality, you don't have to go to class but it helps. If you memorize the homework, the test is easy and the extra credit too. She can be a bit condescending but that is just her sense of humor. Overall, I thought she was a great
Super nice. Once she warms up to you you'll come to enjoy her dry humor and sarcasm. Extra credit offered and encouraged at the MLC. Homework is easy if you use the videos as a guide. Lectures are about the theory, homework videos are about application. Use all you resources to study and you'll pass.
Highly recommend taking this class if you're willing to put in some work. There are only 6 homework assignments for the entire course, and she pulls questions directly from them for the exams (just changes numbers in the problems). Just study your homework/redo them a few times and you will do great in this class. Extra credit is also offered.
She is not a good professor, she paces the class too fast and most of us are lost most of the time. The only assignments she gives are homeworks and exams but the exams are weighed too much so you can't even fail one of them or else you fail. I would never take this professor again, go find someone else if you really struggle with math.
She isn't really the best teacher, she teaches at a very fast pace and lacks examples to help us learn. she was so bad at teaching we started our class with 40 people and ended the year with 6. However the homeworks are identically to the test, so as long as you just learn and do the homeworks multiple time then you should be good.
Im not sure why she has so many negative reviews. Professor Moosai was truly awesome and although she tries to make herself out to be "tough", she is super sweet and caring. quizzes and exams are very similar to the homework, she will answer your questions outside of class and her lectures are great and easy to understand.
She goes very fast throughout the course. There is 6 homework's and 6 tests all semester. The homework's are worth 20% of your grade and tests are 60%. The tests are exactly like the homework except fewer questions and different numbers. The final is 20% of grade, 35 questions and 2 hours to take it. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT.
From a student who has isn't very good at math. Going into this course I was definitely concerned and reading most of the reviews about this professor didn't help but believe me when I say you WILL be pleasantly surprised with the way the course is setup. Grind out the homework until it becomes second nature, have an open mind about the prof!!
Moosai is not very understanding and kind of makes it difficult to work with if you miss a class or something. She lectures very long and is a little stand offish, she is not my favorite professor.
She is a great professor, but you should show up to class. The exams are just like the homework so just do it a few times and you'll be fine. For those who do show up to class and miss a question on the exam, she'll treat you like a number who doesn't show up to class so don't waste your time asking for partial credit.
Never take this professor. If your are in her class at the moment, please do heed my warning and get out while you can.
This class requires a good amount of work, but can be manageable with the right approach. The homework and quizzes are tough, but studying them thoroughly before exams is key. Using resources like unstuck ai alongside the class material can really help with preparation.
She was very passive-aggressive and straight-up rude at times, and she also didn't teach content well.
I felt the professor was very hard to understand and did not explain the concept very well. However the actual work in the class class itself is easy there are quizzes every Thursday but the hw are just like them if you put in the time to study you will do great. She also dropped our 3 lowest quiz scores. Professor is blunt and sarcastic.
This professor did not treat her students with respect. She has zero emotional intelligence and and zero empathy for students.
Head my warning: This is the WORST professor you will ever have in statistics. Every lecture she reads off the textbook, she grades super heavily and is super unhelpful when it comes to questions. I had to retake this class because of her. I wish I could rate her lower than this...
DO NOT take her. She does not teach you how to use stat crunch which is what the whole class is based on. You have to teach yourself. Also even after you finish the quiz she will not let you leave the lab
Prof is strict and lowkey cant hear her in lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory and still passed high w/out going to class. You can study off the homework/etc, it was not hard at all (coming from someone who is bad at math). The tests are in a computer lab on lockdown browser, proctored. Overall not bad at all!
would never take again. she's very standoff ish and disrespectful during class. there are 4 exams plus your final which are really the only grades you get. there is homework but it's barely worth any points. she calls on at least everyone once during class so be sure to pay attention. if you're bad at math, take any other professor.
Online STA 2023 short term course, workload is what you'd expect and need to put effort in it obviously. I will not say she is outright horrible however there have been encounters where she can be outright rude though. Those including myself that have had any sort of issues software application that is on the application's end she has blamed stu.
She's not too bad but she needs to calm down. Your best chance on the exams comes from doing the review a few times. She over explains some topics and goes too fast over others. There are in class worksheets that if you miss you can't make up and if you have an excused absence she will make you take it proctored. Like its not that serious.
She is incredibly rude. I took it for my major and regret dropping it. If you can take the class with a different professor, I promise they will be better than her.
Extremely easy class, quizzes same as homework. Exams have the exact questions from the quiz. Lecture attendance not mandatory but lab time is because there is a quiz every week. Never went to lecture and still did fine as long as you go over homework a few times. (if you go to lecture she may call on you to answer question)
Very clear and good teacher. Tough but you actually learn from it.
