Her tests were straightforward . . she does have a review so you have an idea of what is on the test. Take her . . I made a B (my fault) it should have been an A.

Professor Oldfather is a fascinating teacher. She gives very good lectures. You have to study and keep up with the reading in this class, if you do you will pass easily. Professor Oldfather is very clear on her test reviews. I recommend this teacher.

One of the best Social Science teachers at BCC. Don't ever miss any class days when she is reviewing for a test, because she will cover about 90% of whats on the test. She hates people who talk while she is and people who show up late to class. Pretty ease on attendence, but if you miss alot of days, she won't cut you much slack. Great Teacher!!!!!

One of the best professors here at BCC. Cute eyes. Knows her stuff well and i think she has been to every single country in this world. Great stories. One of the few classes where you study your study guide like 15 minutes before the test and get a 96 or 97. Excellent teacher.

Only 4 test! No homework, kinda dissapointing because I messed up one test and it messed up my whole grade. No need to buy books, you have to write a novel in each class...her notes are sooo long!

Her class is very easy, but she is too boring. She is very smart, that is a fact. She has history hardwired into her head. She can lecture for hours about facts, and dates, and never look down at a notes or anything. If you want tot be a history major, she is your key. WARNING!!! Stay awake! or get dirty looks...

Professor Oldfather is one of the nicest teachers here at BCC. We took a lot of notes from powerpoint. She knows a lot about history. Read the book, it may help u out a lot. Take notes on what she says. Sometimes in her tests its not all based on the notes she gives but on what says too. Tests can be a little tricky just make sure you study.

She's real nice and easy to understand her class. May have a lot of powerpoints to note on but studying is helpful to pass the tests. Keep up the work. Thanks again.

She's been around the world almost twice, so she brings alot of personal stories. She's a very nice teacher and ALWAYS willing to help. She doesn't even need the notes, she knows everything. Alot of notes, but helpful. Take her ... if you like to study!

Made mistake of taking this as independant study. Couldn't learn material on my own. However, before tests, she would review the material. Really vibrant and well spoken, excellent knowledge. I learned more in her 1 hour review than 4 weeks of independant study. Ended up barely passing most tests with "D", she curved me to "C". Take full-time!

She is very nice. This was the first time Consevation of Natural Resources was offered at North campus. The book was boring, but I was told they will be using a different book in the future. The class was relevant to current world issues. My favorite part of class was when she shared the stories of her travels.

The most well spoken teacher I've had. She was great! Loved, loved her class. I learned a lot from her. Very recomended

Don't know what the 2 below comments are about, but that is NOT true. Prof. Oldfather is a great teacher, but you need to also do some work on your end! This is college, everything is not going to be spoon-fed to you. As long as you go to class, LISTEN TO HER, take notes, and study, you will get a very good grade. She knows her stuff, too!

easy class as long as you actually attend and study. Take good notes. Sometimes she does give notes on stuff that won't be on the test, but everything on the test she has gone over in the lectures. Like I said, really easy as long as you come to class and study!

she is a great teacher. she has been to many places so as she is teaching she can show live pictures. her lecture are clear and understanding. if you are a note taker go for it. but if you can remenber what you heard from a lecture she will be fine for you.

Ok seriously, if you failed this class it's your own fault!! I just took this course and got an A, easily. Everything in the notes is on the tests. Many people didn't come to class, and if you don't come to class, don't expect to pass! Take notes and study, and you will do fine. Very interesting class, too, if you pay attention! She was an excellent teacher, she's been around the world a million times and her stories are great. Tests were easy as long as you study. Obviously if you don't take notes and study, you won't pass, it's as simple as that. Take this class, you will not be disappointed!

This class was great! Very very easy. The tests were so easy if you take notes. I never opened the textbook once, so don't buy it for this class! Well, if you plan on missing a lot of classes, then buy the book because everything in her notes is in the tests. Otherwise, just take notes and you will guarantee yourself an A.

One of the most interesting classes I have ever taken! I learned so much about the world thanks to this class. It should be a required class. Don't buy the textbook, all the test Q's come from her notes (take good notes!) she shows pictures from her trips which supplement the lectures. Great class, highly recommended!

Very sweet lady. Pretty helpful. Learned a lot in this class. If you read, and take notes and follow the study guide for the test you are sure to pass.

Easy Class and nice teacher. Gets super mad when someone gets up to use restroom during class. Also, during tests, you aren't allowed to leave while other tests are out. No big deal, but as someone with anxiety thought I should mention! Beyond that, easy quizzes, book not used.

good class. plan on taking A LOT of notes if you want to do good on the only four test! study guide is given before the test but there was always a few questions that weren't on the study guide. she makes it interesting because she has actually traveled the world and knows her stuff from experience. very nice teacher.

One of the best professors hands down. Extremely down to earth and very knowledgeable with having traveled all around the world. I really enjoyed her lectures and stories, just make sure you do your work and study. Highly recommend

Great teacher. I wouldn't say an easy class if you don't know much about the world, but still passed with an A. Never opened the textbook but never missed a class. A lot of the test questions come from lecture, not book. Grade depends on 4 tests ONLY. If your not a decent test taker this is not for you. No extra credit or writing assignment.

The four tests comes from all her lectures, TAKE NOTES!! This class is not easy, you have to put attention and study a lot!! i wished she gave more assignments, however i ended up with a B!

She has a good teaching habit in world geography! She also travels everywhere! You must take notes on all the powerpoint and everything she explains to you. She offers a study guide, and although her test comes from her notes, it's recommended that you buy the book just incase you want to see maps and have a clear understanding on what you learn.

What can I say?? I love her. She really knows her stuff. She very very passionate about the subject. Has zero tolerance for rude people and No cellphones!! She will embarass you. Gives study guides. Pay attention in her lecture, read the book and study hard. You will get an A. I did. :)

Do not be late and do not use your cellphone. She has interesting stories and is very helpful. No need to buy book, she may refer to it but you don't have homework and all test questions are from her lectures and notes. Don't believe the mean reviews, Easy class if you pay attention !

She gives review sheets and maps of what she will be asking on the test, and goes from there. I don't think you can get more than that. Must take definitely.

This was a blended learning class so we only had to be in class once a month to take the actual test, but she gives you chapters to read and maps to complete. The maps are on the test and so is the content of whatever she makes you read. BUT she does a great review right before each test, so pay attention, expect homework and you'll do fine!

I don't know why many people are complaining about her. She was an amazing teacher. Her quizzes wasn't hard plus she gives study guides. Final was also in the form of a quiz. All you have to do is pay attention to her lectures and take notes. You will actually learn something!

Really nice profesor, be sure to takes notes of everything she says if you want to get an A, you will get 20 extra credits in assigments.

Show up, take note and listen to her lecture and u will pass. Don't forget to do the essay, they are short and pretty simple. You don't have to read a lot from the book but you will need it to do the short essay. Her test are easy if you pay attend her lecture. She'll drop 1 lowest test grade.

Ms. Oldfather is very thorough and knowledgeable when it comes to lectures. Abit monotone a times and if you don't have the patience it can drag on, and there's barely any homework if at all. Anything that falls on her tests is covered in her lectures and if u take good notes you don't even need the book, I didn't use it and still got an A.

You have to take notes to be able to do the study guide and test. She would get off topic a lot though and that bothered me a lot because I would be confused about what she's trying to say or I would just end up distracting myself. If you study the guide you'll get an A.
