very well educated but expects way too much time and effort. i read all THREE books and went to EVERY lecture and still got a C in the class. she's a feminist which is fine with me but it may turn others off.

Very interesting, very funny at times though be prepared to read. To get an A you must do all the reading and then go through at least the progress tests in study guide and DO ALL E.C. offered!

As I read these other comments I can't think of anything but,CHILDREN! WAKE UP IN THE MORNING! It's only a intro course in psychology, if you can't handle her class you should think about taking up welding at a tech school. If a student is awake it's easy

She's not easy but her class changed the way I looked at the world. If I could take her class over again I would study harder and do more readings.

If you like to sleep, don't take this class. She expects you to learn the material so you need to read the book and come to class .

great class, lots of work but worth it, interesting lectures, one of my favorite courses here.

This woman is crazy but i love her. She loves what she does and you can tell. If you like psychology, sit in the front row and just enjoy the lectures. They are interesting. Just study hard, whatever you do. You have to manage your time well, study in advance. Just laugh at her dumb jokes! ok?

She's crazy! But isn't every psychology teacher? It's actually really funny. But she knows what she's talking about. Just read the chpts and go to lecture - you'll do fine. She even offers extra credit! The kids that are failing are most often the ones not reading or going to class. Slackers.

you are a college student now get your stuff together and get ready to learn because this teacher is amazing if you are half as excited as she is you will learn enough in the class to have something she tought you apply to your life every day

This class is AMAZING! Dr. Sefkow has a real excitement for the material, and really knows her stuff! Word of warning, she teaches the material like she's having a conversation. If you can't pick out relevant material, you'll have a difficult time with the class. Reading is a MUST!

Dr. Sefkow is hard to follow at first, but after a while you just get into her style of lecture. She is incredibly bright and very interesting. Passing her class is not rocket science. READ THE BOOK! Do I need to repeat? Her tests are long, so going to class and doing the work is a must.

I really enjoyed this class, it was very interesing. there is a lot of reading and handouts though, lot of material on the tests. it is somewhat easy material. warning: some of the topics discussed can be disturbing but you learn a lot!

Not the easiest professor on campus - go to class ALL THE TIME and ask questions! Tests are pretty easy if you actually read the book and use the study guide. Overall great class to take if you're willing to work at it.

She is really goofy, which makes class interesting. She is very knowledgable on everything she teaches. If you read everything in the book, SHOW UP FOR CLASS, and take notes you should do okay. Her tests are hard. She is Very helpful and always willing to answer questions.

people complain that she is a tough professor, well she is. but you have to EARN IT, its a 210 level class, it is hard, but if you do the work and study to the point where you understand and can apply the knowledge and think her exams through, you'll be fine. you do have to work though, don't expect an easy A or B.

People say she's hard and she can be. Just pay attention in class and read the book and use the STUDY GUIDE it really helps. Also make sure you go to class on fridays and the class after a test cause she likes to give extra credit to people who show up.

interesting class--you absolutely need to read the book-she won't read it to you, but hey-this is college. Study guide is a must--use this a lot and study your lecture notes and you'll do fine.

She is hard to adjust to at first. VERY fast paced class. the tests are only on like 2 chapters at a time, so that's good. If you do the study guide as you read, you'll be fine. She isn't as bad as people make her out to be. Her lectures are very helpful and a lot of questions come from them. Take lots of notes. Very time consuming class.

an interesting prof, can tend to go on tangents where the point could have been made much more quickly, if you take her go to class and read what you are supposed to you should do fine, gives extra points for attendance on random days, I thought she was funny, look over class notes and chapter main points before tests

Buy and use the Study Guide! If you attend class and do the work, you will get a good grade!

Sefkow is not nearly as bad as everyone thinks. She makes class interesting with personal stories and relevent examples. If you read the chapters for that unit, and study you should be fine for the tests. Plus there is never homework, or daily quizes or anything, and she offets extra credit. Grades go up a lot throughout the semester too.

Most people say she's crazy and that she's incoherent and that she's hard. I loved the class and she was fun to listen to. Yeah, the tests are hard... you have to complete the study guide if you want to do well on the tests. USE YOUR STUDY GUIIIIIIDE!

Not as bad as everyone says, if you use the study guide and actually GO TO CLASS you will be fine, toward the end of the semester her tests are based off of lectures so attending class is important, very funny friendly lady, had no problems with her...she really knows what she is teaching about...gives a lot of lecture examples helps alot on tests.

I was 12 points from an A. I'll tell you two things to help you: READ A SECTION IN THE BOOK AND FILL IN THAT SECTION OF THE STUDY GUIDE... AND USE YOUR STUDY GUIDE TO STUDY! (if you are a good, open minded student I believe you will succed) also, you can get ec for participating in student experiments

I actually really like Professor Sefkow. She knows what she is talking about and she makes class interesting. All you have to do is read your book, use your study guide, and take good notes and you will pass.

Dr. Sefkow is a brilliant woman who isn't getting the credit she deserves. I have her for psych of women and gender, and the class has pretty much changed my life. Yes, there is a lot of information to keep up with, but that's good for you! There is so much out there that people are ignorant too and Dr. Sefkow is helping to change that.

I don't know what everyones problem is, yes she talks a lot in class, but that's her job. Use your study guide and come to class you will get a "B". Her tests are not hard if you have reviewed the information. She is getting a bad rap on this site by students who are looking for a free pass. Grow up! This is college.

I don't know why anyone should have a problem getting an A or B in this class. Yes you do need to study but it's nothing outrageous. The multiple choice section of the study guide really helps. She gives opportunites for extra credit. Plus, it really helps that half of the class usually consists of complete idiots...good for the curve!

I don't get why people say they hate her. I thought she was a great teacher and I know so many who dropped but really, you big babies suck it up. It was a very interesting class and all you have to do is actually study and you'll be fine! It's not that hard...just READ! Don't drop her class, just open the book!

She's bad, but she's not the worst even like some others have said. The study guide will be your best friend. All I do to study is read the chapters once, fill out the study guide and read through it once. Then just do all of the little quizzes. Minus the reading, it's only about 2 hours of studying for each test and I still easily got a B.

Hey--I don't know what class you guys are taking. This is the most interesting course I've taken here. She challenges you to really think about the info. Go to class, listen, take notes, READ the book, use the study guide and you'll be fine---this is college, not middle school!!

Sefkow really is not as bad as people make her seem. She is quite humorous and relates concepts to life-like things that are relavent in our lives. Make sure you read the book but especially USE YOUR STUDY GUIDE! A majority of the test comes directly from that. She wants you to do well and will help if asked. If you actually try, you'll have an A.

This lady is so funny. She makes pysch fun and makes it easy to relate to. People who say she is hard just didn't put anytime in the class. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a really good prof and anyone who wants to learn something.

She IS NOT BAD! The people talking crap about her are the people who are out drinking constantly or simply aren't studying the right material. If you pay attention and read the book, apply those concepts instead of just memorizing them, you will do fine. She expects you to do well, so she chellnges you because of that. She's not hard!

She is really not that bad. She knows her stuff. If you suck up to her, ask questions, and actually study you'll like her. I hear people complaining all the time. I barely studied and got and A and B on her exams. Make sure you go to class though. You can miss a lot by not going. And you'll win extra credit for going sometimes.

She is my favorite. the materiel is interesting and it easy to do well if u just put in a little work. even stupid people can pass the class if they just care a little. Show up to class, take notes and do the e.c. and you will do fine.

My favorite prof ever. She does talk fast, but it makes you pay attention. Materail is intersting and it is easy to get a good grade if you put in a the effort

She is good professor who trully cares about her student. yes she is a bit wierd and out there but she is great. this was my favorite class. yes it was alot of work but its college, if you use your study guide you will do fine. i barley studies and got an A. just put in the extra effort and you will be fine

How you do in this class really depends on how hard you are willing to work. If you work hard you will learn a lot and easily get A's on exams. Overall, good class.

by far my favorite proffesor. yes she does expect alot out her students, but in the end you learn a tons. put in the effort and you will have a A. does get of topic sometimes. also read the book!

Im dumb and I managed to get a B. I ate cake that i bought from walmart every day and I didnt pay attention. I also drew pictures of monster eyeballs attacking things. I liked her =)

Passionate about psy and is hard because she has high expectations for students. Really, is it unreasonable to have to go to class, listen, read the textbook and study to do well? I worked harder but I learned a lot more in the two classes I took from her than any others I?ve had so far at WSU.
