This Teacher is a great teacher to learn Acct. with. She is clear and the class went by fun. If you do the work & pay attention the class goes by pretty easily, but you need to do the work & she tries to help you out as much as she can. W/ only 3 tests + final. + you can drop one test. But she only teaches 1 nite a semester. Overall great class.

She's a good teacher to take acct with. She has you do a lot of in class exercises, which is really helpful. As long as you do all the work you'll do good. She gives you 3 exams and a final, but she drops the lowest exam. If you don't understand what she is saying, make sure you ask her questions. She's really easy to talk to, and a cool teacher.

Mrs Acacio is a smart cookie, she knows her stuff and shares her knowledge with care and understanding. If you don't understand, ask and she will make sure step by step that you do understand it. There are 2 quizzes, 3 tests and final. You can drop one lowest test and can use one note sheet (front and back) for each test which can be used in final (3 pages, front and back). Professor Susan-Acacio is a phenomenal teacher that makes accounting a lot easier to comprehend. The class is demanding with the amount of work it takes to really let accounting sink in. I'm taking acct 001 w/her miss 1 class you will be lost when you're back. class is not difficult but you either love it or not you can still get a good grade but you must listen to all she says. 4 exams drops 1. 5 quizzez 5 hws she assigns hw every class but only counts 5. Nice person will stay and explain. Personality makes class interesting.

She is an angel!She does everything possible to make sure you pass. I've never had such a kind professor. She gives you review sheets for quizzes and tests. She explains everything clearly. So I am writing this review 2 years after I took this class. Let me just say she is AMAZING! I am a accounting major and I constantly go back to her notes to refer things I have forgotten. I definitely recommend any accounting majors to take her.

Accounting is difficult no matter what, Professor Singer wants to know if you don't understand and she will help you. Her interest in your understanding accounting makes you want to go to class. You have to read and do the homework, if you do those things you will pass the tests. She is a diamond among all the other professors who teach accounting.

She's amazing! What hasn't already been said? She goes out of her way to help you if you need it, shes willing to answer any questions you may have. The extra credit and one exam dropped boosts your grade. She can lecture a bit fast, but other than that she puts a lot of energy into her lectures and as a result keeps you alive and well.

Susan definitely challenges ones cognitive ability, but she does allow notes with each of her exams.

Excellent professor! Even though Accounting is boring (not my major) she made it interesting. She goes strictly by the syllabus, so in order for you to obtain a passing grade is by doing your homework and turn it in the stipulated date, MUST show up to class (otherwise you get lost), and participate. I was scared to death by Accounting, but from day 1 with Prof. Acacio, I was literally relieved when I learned about her grading criteria and the fact that exams are all multiple choice & TF with a study guide that she hands out prior to every exam, as well as she drops the lowest grade; 3 tests + final drops the lowest. Cheat sheets allowed on all exams, homework is online, gives extra credit, clear explanations but she talks super fast and has the tiniest handwriting. Sit up front, trust me! And if you want an A , it is very necessary to get As on everything.. I mean everything. Don't slack off because you think it's an easy A class (although it may feel like it)

This is my 3rd Accounting class at Valley College with different professors and she's the best by far. She is really knowledgeable, rights on the board a lot (unlike others who read the book for you or do power points); she makes sure you understand the chapter before you even read it.. If you are really looking to LEARN, not just pass, take her.

I never knew what a good professor was until I took accounting over winter break with Mrs. Susan Singer-Acacio. She was so helpful and fair!

I loved her class and her! Honestly I didn't want to write a review b/c I don't want to have trouble adding her in the future. I took her for the winter, so it was an intense class, be prepared to cover at least 2.5 chapters a week, total of 12 chapters. She gave 3 midterms and Final. She explains everything CLEARLY and didn't get frustrated w/Q's.

It was a pleasure taking her class. I honestly found her on rate my professor. Students are lucky to take her as a professor for accounting. I hear that accounting is hard, but she made it feel easy. The class was fairly simple if student's understood the concepts and the class was very well organized. Students should take her. Shes great at this!

Prof Singer is a STAR professor. I took her class for a month and I learned better than I had in my university during one semester. She is so professional and caring when it comes to explaining concepts. She is not one of those easy A prof's who skips chapters. Everyone told me Acct was hard but untrue. Work in this class and you will be pushed up!

I consider being introduced to accounting by Mrs. Singer one of the most fortunate things that happened to me when I decided to go back to school and pursue to pursue a career in accounting.
