Too many scenarios on her exam make them KILLER hard

Her tests can be a little bit hard with the wording, but if you study real good then it's not that hard of a class. She teaches the material to where you actually learn it and her class is fun to be in. Excellent teacher!

Super nice! Makes everything really simple. Knows what she's talking about. Always willing to help. Heavy reliance on book. Study the book and pay attention in class and it should be a breeze. Really fun and easy.

Spooner is great! She will work just as hard as you do to help you get the grade you deserve. I had little interest in the class at first but have moved my major to Psyc.

Tests were not a cake walk, but plenty of online quiz practice prior to in class tests. Good at lecture and notes. Stays on topic with plenty of discussion and she enjoys interaction with student participation. NO, I didn't get an A, but like the class anyway! (I honestly could have worked a bit harder.)

Spooner is amazing!!! She makes class fun and relates to things student are going through. Her test are not easy but if you do the work and ask for help when needed she will work with you. I would take her again if she taught another class I needed.

I love Prof. Spooner! She's always there to help if you don't understand the material and ready to review with you before each exam so that you understand everything. I love how she gives a practice test before each real test and you can take it as many times as you want and only counts the highest score. Definitely take her!

Absolutely the best teacher I have had. I actually switched majors because of her class. You will work hard in her class but she is extremely fair and always there to help. Excellent course!

Great communication. Be sure to study the book well and take good notes, some of the questions on the quizzes and tests can be a little tricky, but I have never been a good test-taker. I took this class online. She is a great teacher. Responds very quickly to emails. Wants you to succeed. Interesting class, but tests are difficult. You MUST do the work to prepare for them.

Took internet class. Tough but not impossible to do well if you do what she asks of you. She loves the subject and keeps it interesting enough that you don't get bored.

Spooner is a pretty good online teacher. Work load is decent and clearly laid out. Final is tough and she did not provide a review. She also assigned work during dead week. Worst thing about this class was the book Psyc by Palladino which was exquisitely pathetic.

I would not recommmend this teacher. She is very tough, gives you lots of assignments. YOu have to read allot. The exams are very difficult.

Intensive reading. Test questions are not worded like in the book. For the Final Exam,she said the online test questions would go in order according to the reading assignments covered over the semester and there would be approximately 10 questions per chapter. The test was no where near what she described in the syllabus. She's tough!

Great class!! Teacher really knows her material & instucts well. Tests are a bit hard but as long as you study and show up you will do fine. I had a severe life crisis in this class & prof spooner was very understanding & helpful in my desire to still pass the class despite my attendance. Highly recommend!!! Everything is by the book btw

Spooner is simply amazing. Very thorough and interesting lectures. The tests are all comprehensive, so print the lectures and study all terms and concepts you don't know. The objective isn't to know it, but UNDERSTAND it. She is so helpful. I accidentally missed the final & she still let me take it w/o points off! Class takes effort- made an A+

I had never had psych before I came into college, but she explained the material so good that I passed all the test and quizzes without a problem! For incoming freshman or first timers in college I HIGHLY recommend!! She is a fun teacher!!!

Took psyc twice before - used same book, but spooner made it make sense so I could pass. Always was available. I had to work, but this time it paid off.

Being an online class you wouldn't think the professor would always be available for help, but Spooner makes sure you know she is always there to help and answer any questions you have. The assignments are easy to understand. You definitely need to read the assigned readings to do well on the quizzes, but as long as you read you should get an A.

She was a really awesome teacher, even online I felt that she was always willing to help. The class was pretty easy, just read your chapters that are assigned.

Like any college class, if you do the work, you get good grades. Susan Spooner was really great with my summer 2 online class. I would take any of her classes again.

Dr. Spooner was an amazing teacher! I took her Gen Psych class online during the summer and it was not bad at all! You will have a lot of reading but if you do the reading and stay on top of it then you will do just fine on the tests! TAKE THE QUIZZES LIKE 10 TIMES! They are basically the test questions! I would recommend Dr. Spooner for sure!

Took the class online, and at first was disappointed that all of the assignments were not available as soon as the class was open. I generally prefer self paced study. But the class covers a lot of material, and we were assigned sections at a decent pace. The class does require the Respondus LockDown Browser for exams, which I think is a pain.

Very responsive to messages, and very helpful. Lists assignments as blackboard announcements so it's very easy to keep track of everything. LOTS of reading, and if you don't read, you won't pass. Tests and quizzes were fairly challenging, but not bad. Would recommend.

Took Dr Spooner for Pscy 2301 over Summer II. It was a lot in a short amount of time but it was a great course! She spelled everything you needed to do out in the syllabus. Lots of reading. Gave lots of quizzes that you could take multiple times, which you need to do bc they are the exam questions as well! Very pleased and would take her again!!

She is an excellent teacher, yes her quizzes are a little difficult, but name one whose arent. you have to be in class to pass

I LOVE Spooner's class! She is clear about what will be on the test. At the beginning of every class she reviews what you have studied. She helps you with your tests & homework. I'm not afraid to ask for help! Spooner puts things to where I understand the concepts. I wish more teachers were like her. She puts on awesome music before class starts.

Professor Spooner is AMAZING! She's funny and incredibly smart and I felt like she truly cared about my education. I definitely recommend her class. It's a little tough but it's worth it and the explains things thoroughly. You will need the textbook.

She is probably the BEST psychology teacher at Mclennan no doubt. Very straight forward and to the point and her energy is amazing during the lectures. Tests were EXACTLY like her lectures so if you take good notes and do the quizzes u are guaranteed to pass the tests and this class with flying colors!

The tests were tough because it was an online flextrack class, so you had about a month less to do the coursework. I really liked the course, I learned a lot and wanted the course to continue.

I took this course not knowing much about it. I enjoyed the class and learned so much. If I had to pick a course again, I would pick this one. As long as you make a effort and do the homework you should be okay.

Prof Spooner is seriously my new best friend. She is an amazing woman with an amazing class! Do not pass this up!! I honestly have nothing to say. Most of the work you do on your own, and she provides you with the necessities of what you need to read for that week. So basically just be prepared to do a lot of reading and teach yourself.

Dr. Spooner is wonderful! I took her online and things came up frequently during the semester, but she was completely understanding! She reset exams every time I asked. This is a very easy course to take online. I had the pleasure of speaking with her over the phone a few times and she is super sweet and you can tell she really cares. GREAT PROF!

Dr. Spooner was great! I just took her class to fill my behavioral sciences credit, but she was great. Anytime I had a conflict, she worked with me. You get 4 tests and a final. I found that the quizzes helped a lot when it came to studying for the tests. I would definitely take her class again and recommend it to anyone.

She is a fantastic professor, she gives you lots of opportunity to improve your grade and she genuinely cares about her students. Her lectures are interactive and fun. And her tests are evenly spaced out and assignments aren't anxiety inducing unless you procrastinate. Just be prepared to study and don't skip class.

I love the way her online course is set up. She posts an update every Monday morning and tells you what all is due for the week. Very easy to navigate and the quizzes and tests are easy if you do a little studying on Connect. She is also extremely nice and really wants her students to succeed. Take notes durning the lecture most of the tests come from the notes taken in class. Very easy to commuincate with and is willing to help you. You will love this instrcutor and will be able to pay attention in class because her lectures are amazing.

Easy A! No papers and quizzes are a breeze. The majority of the course is participation grades. This course was super interesting and made me want to major is PSYC! Highly recommend this course!

This was a very easy A. I took the online class and it was a breeze. She is helpful if you have questions. 13 Smartbook assignments (very easy), 7 quizzes (about 25 ?'s each), 4 exams (100 ?'s each), one final, all open book. 2 hours for all timed exams, some aren't timed though. Overall, very easy and would recommend to anyone.

I love Dr Spooner! Take her class!!! Shes a great professor. I was in a hybrid blended class and although the in person part was Monday morning at 8:00 AM I still loved her class. She is very interactive and cares. She will tell you everything you need to know and her homework assignments are straightforward! I wish she taught all of my classes!

Dr. Spooner is amazing! She only tests what she lectures on. Meaning something was planned to be covered but wasn't by the test day it won't be on the test. Does provide lecture slideshows on brightspace but truly only uses them as a guide so take good notes. Extremely good at communicating the lesson plan and when assignments are due. HW not hard

I was not sure how I felt about psychology, but Spooner made everything worth listening to, creates an open class where any questions are worth asking. If she doesn't know an answer, she will let you know then research it! She shows interest in who you are as a person along with helping you with anything even if it is not related to the course.

If you're needing psychology TAKE DR. SPOONER!! She is an amazing professor that loves her job and wants everyone to succeed! Test are over class notes but you still need to read the chapters in your online textbook. Such a fun class would 100% take it again!

This professor was clearly passionate about the topic she teaches. Class was fun and not too difficult if you read the chapters and practice with the smart book assignments each week. She promptly and kindly responded to emails, and left me feeling inspired to be going into psychology. I wish I could take her for multiple courses!

All I can say is she is an AMAZING professor! You can tell she genuinely cares about your well-being, the class is fairly easy, you're set up to suceed. Typical class day is a slideshow lecture (very easy to follow along and take your own notes) and a weekly smartbook. Tests are VERY easy, and usually about 50 questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I took online PSYC 2301 under this professor. Loved this professor! She gave a very very reasonable work load and all assignments and pretty much impossible to not make a 100 on. Her test are long (100 questions) however, there is only 4 and they aren't proctored and are fairly easy. Best college course I have taken so far!
