She is a wonderful teacher!! I am so glad I picked Intro to Business before other subjects. Her sunny smiling face and positive attitude makes all the misery in learning dissapear. If all other teachers have the same enthusiasm and energy like her I bet many more students will be motivated in learning. She is an great asset to NCC.

This could be the best teacher you'll ever have. I would suggest taking her for every class you can within your major. She's the only teacher I ever felt really guilty about missing class. She's very nice, inCREDibly clear with what you'll be tested on, and really gives you every opportunity possible to pass.

Great Prof...clearly knows what she's talking about. values input from students so class is interesting. you're not just sitting there listening to her talk and talk endlessly. have some group projects in class...but no homework. exams are reasonable.

She is a kind of crazy about the attendance, but if you won?t miss a class you won?t have to take a final! Easy A, just come to class and listen to her interesting lectures, which are usually about one hour!

Super easy, super fun. One problem is lack of control of the class. She needs to demand more respect from her students. She is very enjoyable. Her class was too easy though, more of a 28 day guided discussion which isn't bad, but needs to hold students accountable for the information they need to know.

She is a great professor. Obviously loves the subject and is passionate about her job. Always willing to help, wants her students to succeed. Assigned a real world marketing project. Switching my major to marketing because of her, she got me to love the subject that much. Excited to take more classes with her!

I have had steiz this semester for public speaking. i cannot tell u how wonderful it was to have her as a teacher she is by far my favorite teacher. I would hate to miss her class because she made it exciting and worth your time. shes very funny and smart and knows her stuff it would be a mistake not to take her.

The sweetest, funniest professor ever! I hated public speaking before the class and I still don't love it, but I definitely improved through her class. Her only two rules are 1. no cell phones during class and 2. RESPECT (e.g. be in class on time and pay attention during the speeches). Follow those rules and you'll get an A, no problem.

All I can say is that Professor Steiz is AMAZING. You will love this class.

Professor Steiz is a great teacher. He class was very amazing. She knows her stuff and is an all around great person to get to know. Her tests were fair, the project was fun and after learning so much in the class the final paper was a breeze and enjoyable to write. Take her class!

She's a must have professor for both marketing and public speaking (I took both). Hardly any assignments, except for the speeches that you must take. She truly knows how to break you out of your shell when you're making your speech and she is always there for you. You can tell teaching is her passion and I love seeing that in a teacher.

She's a great teacher who cares about her students. She explains everything very clearly. Shes fun and you'll want to come to class to learn. Just dont be late!

Very energetic and lively professor. I took marketing with her last semester. phew, red pepper material ;) Her classes were extremely enjoyable and she would use many modern day companies and businesses for examples. Got a lot out of her class and strongly recommend.

Loved every minute of her class. She keeps you awake and knows when you are not interested(which is hardly) Test are fairly easy as long as you pay attention in class. Group projects can be easy or hard depending on you and your group. She HATES people being late so arrive on time. I love her and recommend that you take her class!!!!

She is amazing I actually took her for public speaking but was too lazy to find the code but for her classes she always listened and in the beginning she told us that by the end we would feel like a family and she was right ,the only class I was excited to go to. I have social anxiety but managed to get an A-. Got a C on my first speech so don't get discouraged. You don't hand anything in (speeches) and she doesn't use a timer when you give your speech. Says you need to buy textbook, but don't bother. Probably the best option for public speaking. Doesn't like late people, but isn't going to make a scene

she is good but do the work and you'll pass easily. At the first day of class she will ask you to give a little speech about yourself and during the semester there are 4 speeches,informative speech, persuasive, special occasion and the final, which is about something you choose.

Steiz is simply amazing. Public Speaking has never been something I was good at but she makes the class manageable. Her grading is straightforward, do what she asks and you'll do great. She's great with feedback if you talk to her in class or email her. Respect her and show up to class on time that's really all she asks for. I would take her again.

She gives a clear grading system so you know what to work on with your skills. Absences and lates will hurt your grade. Listening to others speeches broadened my views.

Professor Steiz really wants you to pass. She gives very well constructive criticism. I took this online because i heard in live classes she makes you present projects. Here we just had to write 4 3-page papers. super easy.

Prof Steiz is great and her feedbacks are helpful. She grades based on 4 analysis. You will read a lot and need to be dedicated writing your papers, but it is not difficult. She is the best.

Honestly, the only word I can describe Professor Stiez is caring. She will make you feel comfortable in her class. There are three speeches you have to do but they're not hard (unless you don't try). Just stay on task, do speeches and speech critiques on time, and your set. (She gets back on emails ASAP) *don't buy the book*

Her classes have no tests, only written assignments/DBs. She's helpful, gives great feedback, and is super respectful. If you're not sure about taking her or not, do it! She's the best, hands down!

I took Professor Steiz last fall for Public Speaking. She was very kind, accommodating, and personable. I had a very bad fear of speaking publicly but she made it very simple and less nerve racking. She did not give us a heavy work load and was very social when it came to lectures and class discussions. I highly recommend her for this course.

Follow the grading rubrics and turn in your speech critiques, and you'll most likely get an A. She is also very accommodating so don't be afraid to reach out if you can't make class.

Professor Steiz deeply cares for her students and wishes everyone in the class to succeed. Each chapter lectures reflect what will be on the four tests, so the final exam isn't cumulative. I'm the type of student who emails instructors regularly, and this professor is great in communications. Take Prof. Steiz if you are looking for an easy A class.

Professor Steiz was the best professor I had at NCC. I took Public Speaking, Principles of Marketing, and Business Communication with her, and I couldn't have made a better choice. She is an excellent communicator and is always available to help her students, even outside of class hours. I wish I could take more classes with her!

I took Principles of Marketing with Professor Steiz. She has clear grading criteria and instructions. I think this course was relatively easy due to having clear instructions from professor. Make sure to turn in work on time and as long as you follow instructions and manage your time efficiently, this should be a relatively easy A.

Professor Steiz is simply amazing. She is caring, empathetic, and passionate about teaching public speaking. Each rubric for the speech is straight-forward and easy to follow. Don't be intimidated that the winter course is only 3 weeks long! The class is structured in a way that everyone will succeed. Attendance is mandatory, but she ends early.

I took principles of marketing fall of 2023. I do recommend her. She is clear on what is expected. Follow instructions and you will do fine. I recommend doing the extra credit assignments as it does help towards your final grade especially if you don't do so well at exam taking.

She really comes off as a real person, I took public speaking with her and it was truly an enjoyable class. Omg. With someone who has a fear of public speeches, she turned it around. The coolest professor you can take, who actually understands that we are human. She made everything sososo easy. Professor Steiz is an excellent communicator. Her lectures are engaging, and she uses real-world examples to bring the material to life. Leveraging Unstuck AI and the course textbook helped me ace the exams.

Professor Steiz was the best professor I've ever had. The hands-on marketing project was great and gave me real life experience of what it's like to work in marketing. The book is suggested but not really necessary in my opinion. Participation in discussions also counts toward your final grade.
