This woman knows how to teach! Has great overhead notes, supplements material with videoclips, and bases her test questions mostly on what she herself teaches. Not reliant on the textbook. Keeps class interesting and over all great prof.

Dr. Phillips explains everything, and shows videos to help you understand. At times the lectures are boring, but if you study the material that is given you'll definitly do well.

The narcoleptic puppy video is really funny! Some guy in our class says stupid comments non-stop....lucky for you he won't be in your class!

This is the easiest teacher Ive ever had! She is really nice and gives tons of examples in class. Her tests are NOT hard, just make sure you do the readings! Minimual homework with great results! If you want an A+ class for sure, take it with this lady!

"Isn't THAT interesting!" Get used to hearing it... Easy marks, she's nice, and the class isn't too boring. She's a little flakey though and she talks REALLY fast and not terribly clear. Either way, Susana is great and you won't regret taking the class. I barely tried and I got 95.

Best prof ever. She's sweet, patient, & a VERY nice person. I'm bipolar & have a hard time being a "normal" student - she accomodated. I had a huge panic attack on exam day (nerves) & she calmed me down & let me take it with her second class two days later. I am majoring in psych now because of her.

Great teacher, gives notes so you just have to fill in the blanks while she's teaching. Exams are easy if you read the notes and do a few assigned readings. She has an annoying tone of voice but it's worth it, she's a great teacher.

She's a really good teacher ...all tests are in MC..only one or two written answers....no HW, no presentation, no projects ...provide good notes..always shows interesting videos ...and she's really really nice !!~

What a good teacher. Those who rated her badly must get low mark because YOU GUYS DON'T STUDY, and just memorize things illogically. Basically you have to study hard to achieve to an A-level. Good luck... you will have lots of TV shows if you take her. Wish you guys all best

She is very nice, but I think she does not speak very well in the class. All M-T questions in the final, so the marks are very very objective that you can't argue for the answer at all...

This is a great teacher to take for psych!! She is passionate about the subject, and really wants you to do well. She relates a lot of stuff to Friends, Seinfeld, and Frasier which is GREAT!! She has all notes prepared on the overhead, and gives u a thorough study guide including practice questions which generaly show up on the test =) Take Her!

This is a great teacher! You can tell she loves teaching Psychology. She well-prepares you for tests, helping you a lot. I would definately recommend her as a teacher for any psychology class.

If i was to sum Susana in one word it would be FANTASTIC! she really cares about what she teaches, she makes sure you know exactly what to study for her test's. She also uses a lot of video's to really show you what she is talking about (each video would be like 5 min and there would be a few video's a class). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

She is GREAT. Other than the 5-6 questions base on the text, tests are fully based on her notes. No confusion. Also, she always give one extra mark for everyone in case of misunderstanding of certain question.

Lots of notes, helpful test preparation materials, detail guidelines for written assignment, class is not boring as she used a lot of videos and samples.

An excellent teacher, i have to say! She prepares lots of notes for us and she's very lenient! She also shows us video clips to illustrate her points. I recommend her for those wishing to take PSYC courses. very hard to find a nice teacher like her ^^

Would highly recommend Susana to those interested in Intro Psych. courses: very understanding lady. Took PSYC 1100/1200, got A-/B+. Lectures easy: video clips/FITB note handouts. Typically 2 MT & 1 final, all MC Scantron, based on notes/text readings. Min. 1 research essay. GPA booster w/ some effort needed. BOTTOM LINE: you get what you work for.

Dr. Philips is a fantastic professor and it was a pleasure to take her class. I wish she taught more!

Her exams are 30% each, all based on her notes and study guide. You have to understand the chapter then read her notes after and you'll ace the midterm. She's a really amazing person, she'll talk on forever. People who don't do well do not show up for class.

She is awesome!!!!her classes are interesting. The most great thing is that you do not need to write a lot, as she provides all the notes done for you. All her midterms and final exam are based on notes she gives. Definitely recommend her!!!!

She only uses the notes that she hands out in class for the exams. There is only 1 chapter that you have to read on your own. Otherwise...easy grade. She is a little hard to understand b/c she thinks faster than she talks. Overall, good teacher.

Pretty good. 3 exams, non-cumulative, and 1 research paper, 3pg. Exams are 60mc, 2 written, & bonus. The MC is super easy & tells you written ahead of time. Class notes are given. Some short txtbook reading is required. Research paper is graded very easy. Lectures are long but shes very passionate so they aren't boring. Engineering student & got A+

Susana is literally the most sweetest professor I have ever had. She tries her best to make class interesting by showing lots of real life examples and videos. She also shows the class funny videos before every break. She is really easy to talk to about assignments. She is a sweet soul and I wish she taught me every class.

Her lectures are very long, so be prepared to listen to her notes for the whole period of class but she'll prepare funny clips for you that people aren't fond of but I enjoy. She's really sweet and nice, she seems a bit flustered but she'll help you if you need it and give you missed assignments. Really helpful and would take again.

Susana is a great prof! I was worried about taking an online course, but she makes the content easily understandable and she is very kind and caring as well. :) I would definitely recommend her and take her again. The psych1200 course has 3 exams and a written assignment. If you study, it is not hard to get an A in this course.

Lovely person, it was online but she made sure if you needed extra help she was available. Answers emails quickly, study hard for her exams but don't worry too much about doing well! Not hard to do well in her class if you put in the effort. No homework which was a bonus!

I took her in PSYC1200 and I do not regret it. Her lectures were structured in a way where you can retain the information. She always presents a few videos about each topic and she even includes humour pieces to get us to laugh. Super caring. Just do readings, share your ideas and you'll pass or even get an A/A+ with effort.

Took her online 1200 class. Her notes were easy to read and understand. I always felt fully prepared for her exams. There's a few questions from the text for the exam but I never read it and still did well enough. I found psych 1100 quite hard and was afraid to take another psych class but she made the class better in my case.

Took this class online 2 semesters ago. I honestly wasnt super excited to take this class initially but let me tell you, I learned a loooot of valuable info (which I now apply in my own personal life e.g. how to manage stress, why stress is bad for you etc.) Anyway, our class had 3 exams, 1 take home exam, & a group presentation

Great professor, her classes online were really easy and very informative. There is a lot of reading involved if you take online classes with her. She colour codes the titles and subtitles so it helps a lot to remember things. Although, it's usually pages of learning so get ready to read lots. Mini self-tests and one written assignment.
