It is a difficult course, but Freeland is willing to answer questions and easily available in Office Hours for extra help. She makes students scared to take Acct at ease. I highly recommend her.

I took this last winter and she is an amazing accounting prof. She used to be a CPA so she knows her stuff. She is sooo helpful. If you have trouble she is always there during office hours to work through your difficulties and through email. great prof

Accounting 101 is not easy but having Mrs. Freeland for a teacher helps. Answers all questions and very helpful. You still got to study hard for those tests though! They are not easy!

If you have to take ACCT101, ONLY take it w Freeland! She is the nicest and easiest teacher. She gives a lot of attendance points and even extra credit to help boost the class' grades. This class is a beast, but Freeland is the best bet in getting through it in one piece. The material is dense and the homework is overwhelming at times, but Freeland does everything she can to make sure you do well. Take her if you need ACCT 101!

Freeland is great for accounting. The class itself isn't a walk in the park, but if you actually do the homework it's a lot easier than everyone says it is. Freeland goes over all the problems, and does an excellent job prepping you for the test. Definitely take this class with her. Extremely helpful!

There were only 3 profs to pick from: Freeland, the girl Kirch, and the guy Kirch. If you can help it, always take Freeland. Always.

Hard class but if you do all your homework the tests won't be too difficult. I was in her 24 person class and she gave a lot of individual attention, I don't think I would be doing as well had I been in the larger classes. Go to SI, they do your homework for you. All the work for 101 is the same but Freeland is the professor to have.

Easy A, if you do your homework. She gives her number out on the syllabus and tells you to call her if you have any questions. I remember calling her about twice a week when I was working on homework assignments. This class is easy if you go to class, pay attention, and do your homework. If you do those things you wont have to study for the exams.

Mrs. Freeland is hands down the best teacher I have had at OU. The material can be difficult if you don't come to class or pay attention, but she is overly helpful and will meet with you to help you with homework or any questions you have. She may seem a little strict, but she is a very sweet lady.

I absolutely loved this professor. Even though I wasn't at the actual main campus I got an A. I have to say learning through the satellite thing made me nervous since I was at the Lancaster branch, but it not make a difference at all whether I was there or not. She responded to emails quickly, she even recommended me calling her cause she could tell I was having some issues. She provided a lot of real life examples too so it was easy to understand what we were actually doing. A+ teacher

She seems intimidating at first, but she is really nice. She's a great teacher and mad everything really easy to understand. Always more than happy to give help without making you feel stupid. Assigns homework that may or may not be collected, but the practice HELPS. I definitely reccommend her

Pretty decent teacher, knows her stuff. Can be a bit sassy at times and a little rude but overall a pretty good teacher. You get hw about every class and if you miss more than 2 classes you get a 50 point grade deduction. As long as you do the hw and go to class you'll get at least a B.

She is a great teacher. Accounting 1010 was a very tough class, the first test was all review from high school but after that the tests got very challenging. Homework is really helpful and explains the process well. She really knows accounting and helps you if you are struggling.

Mrs. Freeland comes off as harsh and strict, but as you move through the semester you really warm up to her. I really struggled in this class because I couldn't master the concepts as quickly as she taught them, but as long as you have a friend in the class to help or go to her office hours, you'll make it. a phenomenal professor in what would be regarded a difficult class. on the first day she passed out a syllabus that clearly states the grading criteria down to the point while explaining what it takes to succeed in the class. this class isn't an easy "A" but if you put in the effort she asks of you its very likely you will do well.

You do not have to buy a textbook for this class but they give you a binder called the MAP which you do ALL your work in. Professor Freeland loves her students and really wants to see you succeed. She will help you with anything you need. However, if you take your phone out or miss more than 3 classes you lose 100+ points!

Mrs. Freeland has been my favorite professor at OU. She is kind, caring, and wants you to succeed. She actually teaches material and is such an intelligent woman. She was so understanding during coronavirus online learning. If you get the chance, take one of her classes. Love her <3

My absolutely favorite professor at OU! Lots of homework but if you pay attention, it's easy. Exams are easy if you study. At the start of every class she'll show pet pictures on the board that people sent to her. She's so sweet and actually cares about how we do in her class. 11/10 would take again.

Professor Freeland is by far my favorite professor at OU. She's super caring and finds a way to explain things in a simple and understandable manner. She requires you to have your camera on during class, otherwise you lose a lot of attendance points. Exams are straightforward with the practice exams looking identical. There's no grading surprises.

Homework on most nights but they aren't hard. Practice exams are almost identical to actual exams. Super accessible outside of class, even provided her cell number to students. Highly recommend!

Professor Freeland was amazing. While there was a lot of homework, it was manageable, and it was just enough for me to get the level of practice I needed before the exams. I didn't do very much studying for this course, and before the final exam, I had 37 extra credit points. My friend took this course with a different prof and struggled way more.

the first week will kick your butt. you need to be willing to learn the material or else youll probably fall behind and fail. after the first week though, it gets easier but you need to go to class. overall i would definitely take again.

First half of the class is a lot of work. However it is needed work. After that the class is downhill in workload. This class reminded me of a high school math class. Great class if you show up and pay attention. Highly suggest investing in a big ERASER for this class! Loved Freeland, she was so cute and fun and I really enjoyed her class. I would 100% take her again! Assignments take awhile but just do them, they will help your grade so much even if you dont get full credit.
