TEACHES LIKE SHE"S SPEAKING WITH HER COLLEGUES

THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE CHEM TEACHER IN HISTORY. DON'T TAKE HER IF YOU DONT'T WANT TO REPEAT THE CLASS.

Boring,reads off slides all class long,if u have question u will get vague answer,and if u still dont get it,oh well,she tells u to go home and get it at home,chem. isnt kind of subject that u could just go home and get it,u really have to be into self torture to be in her class,if u dint do lab assignment forget about lab, she be by door checking

Her intro to chem is the biggest waste of time, all her lectures are verbatim from the textbook. If you ask her about something outside the textbook she won't even answer it. Her classes and labs are incredibly boring. I'm sure she's smart, she just cannot teach. Maybe her higher level classes are better.

She can not teach! Just reads off the slides. Prof. Kosky was supposed to teach, and she stepped in at the last minute. Worst professor I had in my life.Her quizzes are not even in the textbook. Even if you read the entire chapter you cannot answer her quizzes.She doesn't even teach any material that she gives on the test!

SHE IS A BAD, BAD TEACHER!!! The WORST professor in my entire educational life! If I had the authority I would fire her. She doesn't desrve to teach in BMCC! She doesn't deserve a teaching job! Think twice before taking her! Trust me you will feel what it is to get a grade below C in her class. You should refer your friends to not take her classes.

If you dont want to mess up your transcript then dont take her. She is a very WASTE of time and money and will make your grade surprisingly miserable at the end of the semester. She disrespects everyone in the class. She makes the subject extremely boring and just miserable. She is the WORST! Dont believe me? Take her class and you will regret it.

Professor Boydston-White is a really smart woman however she doesn't know how to teach. All she does is read off the power point. You on your own in this class because she cannot teach. Her test are not really that hard but basically you teaching yourself. If you are good in Chem take her but if aint. Take someone else.

Halfway through the class. Started off great and then realized her reading of the powerpoints was just that and I could have stayed home. If something is misunderstood she restates it in the same way she presented it. I am a returning student. Would not recommend her if you are interested in learning chemistry. Labs are unclear.

The worst professor ever! Proof of that is that people prefer to take saturday morning classes rather than taking her. Everybody knows she is horrible. Her explanations are confusing. Two quizes per week and 75 questions for the midterm.My class started with 25 people and ended up with 9. Don't take her!!!

absolutely terrible. she will do everything in her power to make sure you do not receive the grade you want. you must teach yourself ALL of the material. second half of the semester = death. never met such a cold hearted professor in my life. chemistry IS NOT THAT BAD its the prof that matters, and she is the WOORRSSTTTT

All she does is read for what feels like hours, and puts you straight to sleep. Redbulls/coffee will not save you in this class! Worst teacher ever...STAY AWAY if you actually want to pass!

one of the worst professors ever.the only thing she does is read of powerpoint slides and give you a quiz every week on the lesson from last week. on mondays we had her in the classroom for 1hr and 40 minutes then tuesday we had lab day with another teacher and then thursdays was the quiz day. she squeezed all material in that 1hr and 40. stay away

Guys the grade she gives is not what you have to get. If u take classes with her you will get frustrated with science and its branch. Save yourself and save your future. DONT DARE TO TAKE HER !!!!!!

Only uses slides to teach...no kidding! There are definitely no pros when it comes to this professor. Had to teach myself everything. Came to class and left the lecture more confused than ever. Labs don't even relate to lectures at all. Without Khan Academy and Youtube, no doubt that one will have to get a W or fail. Good person at heart..bad prof.

Do not take, i gave her reviews the benefit of the doubt and it bit me in the behind. All your questions will go unanswered and she is not as helpful as she seems. Will never review before an exam, except go over slides you have already seen. Does not teach at all or even break down any problems.sweet person but not the best professor.

She is the devil incarnated. Plain and simple. See for yourself. DO NOT take her unless you already have a higher degree in Chem. She will test you on materials she went over 24 hrs before class and her tests will be on the hardest questions in every chapter. Expect to teach yourself every single thing. Tests are extremely tricky, designed to fail.

I realize through her - a person's lifetime income has nothing to do w/ their PhD or arrogance but it's often a direct correlation of how many people one has helped vs. lives ruined. Her failure as a human being made me understand it's better to learn emotional intelligence vs. advanced knowledge. God luck, you're going to need it to keep your job.

This professor is not a professor. She is a chemist. 2 completely different fields. If you are a grad chem student who needs a refresher this class MAY help you. Dr White is a nice person who seems knowledgeable but an awful professor. Not helpful at all, does what is written in black and white and gives zero care for passing or failure.

Prof White is one of the worse teacher I ever came across my entire academic life. she should be teaching PhD students because the material she deliver has not to do with class.no matter how hard you work she will still fail you.your best bet is to take a different prof or prof Chang she's wonderful

I rue the day that I did not drop this course. I took it over the summer, thanks to this Professor who lacks emotional intelligence and the ability to teach I retook this course. To my dismay the 2nd Professor I had did not teach the class the way professor White did.

Prof white horrible teacher no matter how hard you study you will not pass.Future students register for different Prof unless you want D or F with Prof white. Prof Chen is great if you are not to go in chem, she explain the materials well and is very fair.

I'm taking this Chemistry in the summer session !. she doesn't help you when you need it. Plus she doesn't do review for her test and they are not easy. specially if she give you 2 a 3 chapter in 1. If you are absent then you miss whats going to be in the exam unless you have background on chemistry. DON'T TAKE HER.

She is very condescending, sucks at communicating concepts and she expects you to solve really hard problems on the exams. Her explanations are very long and hard to understand. If you want a prof. that deconstruct concepts well enough for you to grasp them then DO NOT TAKE HER. You're asking for an F if you stay her class.

Don't pick this professor. Why because she expects you to know the material alreadyy . I had to drop the class since I was failing . I studied my but off . Her Exams ARE SO Hard & Confusing . She read notes off of power point . For my class she was giving us quizzes before labs . I felt that was unfair cus if you failed the quiz u fail the lab .

I typically appreciate a professor who expects a certain extent of rigor, but I found that her occasional offhanded condescending manner made the the course off-putting altogether. Material is organized difficult, but do-able with the effort. She will not make exceptions to any rules even if student suffers extenuating circumstances.

Assigned work shows students what to expect at a senior college. However, she is strict to a point where it resembles a dictatorship. She is quick to remind us that this isn't high school, yet she micro-controls so much that I felt patronized. i.e: she requires receipt for manuals if we don't bring hard copy to lab. Very frustrating behavior.

She can't teach for crap and questions for the quizzes online are from the website. Also what professor would need a receipt to show proof that your have the lab manual. Whenever she grades quizzes or exams, the way she grades was stupid. I have to drop her class because the grade on my midterm was terrible and regret taking her class

She is a very difficult proffessor...... She does not know how to teach properly and condense material in order for the students to understand. And if you do not understand she gets frustrated. Tried to drop 2 days after the deadline and she refused to sign my waver because I was not hit by a bus or anything serious

Don't take her. trying to failing people instead of helping. group lab graded diff' with no reasonable reason. taking off points on everything including spelling mistakes or not following instructions even if you get the right answer. quizzes every week which you get zero if didn't do h/m . uses notes to explain stuff in lab & still makes mistakes.

Probably the worst professor ever. You have to read more than 100 slides on blackboard, take a test, and then come to class to more tests. Never again.

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. Gives you over 70 questions to study before the quizzes each week, with material inlcuded for next week so you cannot focus on the current week. Less than 50% on the hw, you fail that week's quiz. Doesn't explain things properly, you are basically teaching yourself an already tough subject. TERRIBLE, DON'T TAKE HER CLASS

really heavy amount of homework that is much harder than the quizzes or class. Would seriously take 10 hours or more to do even if you did understand. teacher is nice, but doesn't seem to care about students learning the material. More concerned about copyright of lab book and that students don't cheat or work together on labs.

She doesn't care about students nor for explaining the material. She has designed her class to fail students. Everyone knows this. She's a dictator. She ask you to show proof you bought your lab manual which is ridiculous.

All they say it's true. She seems to be a nice lady who doesn't care about no one because apparently is a full-time faculty so no one will fire her. Take another course and make your life easy.

This professor have the ability to shatter your dreams as she doesn't even care about her students. On the power point, she puts 200 slides on each topic and believed that we know everything within one week. For the lab manual, she will ask you for a receipt as this annoys me a lot. Overall, she acts nice on the outside, she's really have no heart.

If you see her name when you register, just look for another professor. If you don't want to mess your gpa, don't take her. Every week, She'll give you 200 slides w/c is hard to understand. 50-80 practice questions that'll make you feel that you understood the lecture. And 10 points quiz w/c is extremely difficult and will give you an F grade.

Her class is so difficult. She only give two exams; midterm & final. The midterm term is the first seven chapters and the final is the last seven chapters. she aim to fail the students. She give 40-50 practice questions & her power point slide are from 98-116. If you got some mistake in the lab exercise, she will take points away. DON'T TAKE HER

She acts nice on the outside, but in her heart it has a duty to shatter every students' dream. Every week, she post practice quiz online and hands the real deal when we meet and all the questions doesn't make any sense. For the exams, they are roughly 70 questions and she expect us to know this. She doesn't even help her students at all.

Worst class I ever took in college. PLEASE FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE. This class is a waste of time and money. She has no reviews, the practice quizzes have nothing to do with the real quizzes, and she deducts points off your labs for no reason.

I was one of the people that didnt drop her class even after reading these reviews and it cost me. AVOID this evil lady at all costs!! She did not let me make up 1 lab of 1 week before in order for me to qualify for the NC grade. I attended all her classes and that was the first lab I missed. I have never come across someone so evil in my life

More than half of the class dropped her class and out of 12 of us that were left, about 4 of us had to email the dean about her behavior. On the final she said we have to show work even on multiple choice question b/c if we dont we wont receive credit. Takes points off labs for things such as commas and dots. Also has an envy towards girls

Worst professor i have EVERRRR had . She does not help you whatsoever. Expects you to know every single thing. On blackboard her power points have atleast 105 slides. EXTREMELY tough grader. Takes of points for the smallest things such as adding a 0 or removing one. Test are weighed ridiculously high. do yourself a favor DONT TAKE HER AT ALLLLLL.

PLEASE, when you see her name -SKIP IT. She will fail you even if you try hard. She will call you out on things and will make you feel uncomfortable in front of the class. She is a horrible proffesor, she does not know how to teach to treat her student. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND DON'T TAKE HER

Please, Don't take her class. Even if shes the last option because of registration deadline, just wait until next semester She's truly not interested in teaching or helping you to understand the material. Unless you have a gift in the sciences or can teach yourself, you will be wasting your time and money. Please study with a professor that cares.

She might be one of the professors that actually got me into depression. At first, I though she is nice lady, but reality hits and got me worried about my GPA. Thanks to her, I see her as someone who doesn't see her students as worthy successors but instead sees them as failed human beings or she really hated her job working there.

Before I signed up for Boydston I looked at the reviews, they were low but I kept an open mind that I had to work for my grades regardless who the professor was. But this professor designs everything so you can fail, she goes beyond measures to make sure her exams difficult. Either than that I see no effort from her in anything else. DON'T TAKE

This was the worst professor I have ever had !!! She is very condescending, I would NOT recommend her at all. You have to go over modules by yourself and then come to zoom sessions and ask questions, if you need a professor that teaches then dont choose her ! Her mid term had 8 or more answer choices per question!!! WORST PROFESSOR EVER

TAKE another professor even if you have to wait for next semester. I devoted at least 6-8 hrs daily on chem. You teach yourself. Tests are not similar to worksheets/quizzes as she says. Tests are specifically structured to confuse & throw you off track, no matter how much you study, even switches the periodic table day of exam.

This class says it is synchronous but the Professor operates as if it were asynchronous. Only requiring that we be present on test days. So that means little to no lectures to explain the work you're expected to know. HW is provided weekly. Test are VERY difficult. 12-15 answers per question on test to choose from, instead of normal 2-3 options.

Worst professor in modern history. Teaching is just not for her. She made up an imaginary periodic table for exams, she doesnt care at all. Im begging every student do not take her classes if you want to learn and pass. She is just awful. I wished I read the comments before taking her class. Absolutely do not waste your time and money with her.

She is the worst professor ever. She didn't explain a thing, she sent us a lot of homework, and if you have a question you need to come to her, and she will explain the exercise. You will have to find an explanation yourself and learn by yourself. English is my second language, so it was tough to find a good explanation online and for free.

How'd she take points off my grade because of someone had left the station dirty. Brought it to her attention and she STILL didn't fix my grade; she even blamed me as if I can control others.

Unbelievable. Took her last semester and most of us failed! She don't teach, you need to self study. The test are in person, but you need to study by yourself all over the semester!! No classes, only office hours!

No lectures/zooms etc you have to self teach 20 chapter of chem by yourself. Literally only comes to school to serve tests and only actual work she does is grading tests. she practically just collects her check and poof gone like she's never there all of her classes are struggling.

tests are 60% of your grade if you ask her abt when lectures will be like i did on the first day of classes which also happen to be the last day to change classes she will avoid the question does not grade anything else but tests her "help" does not help at all. she makes me stress so much especially if you are a nursing major, shes such a pain.

Worst professor ever! She does not care if you pass. You only see her once a month (and that's only on the day of the exam). She doesn't reply to emails and when she does it's all attitude. Don't waste your time taking her as a professor.

If you need to take this class, please don't take her as your professor. She is awful, full of attitude, makes up periodic tables, exams are way harder than the practice quizzes that she offers. Her personality is a big no, always looks mad and makes you feel uncomfortable. Do yourself a favor and get a different/better professor.

Please steer clear of this professor she is the absolute worst! Her lectures do not align with her tests. (And that is if you can manage to extract any information from her lectures in the first place) She answers questions with vague explanations, many times I was left more confused than before I asked her for clarification.

Worst class ever. I aced Chem 1, but with this professor, I'll be lucky to pass Chem 2. Instead of lectures, she posts 4-hours worth of YouTube videos, assigns weekly quizzes, and dodges direct answers to questions. None of the practice worksheets, quizzes, or exams match up with the material, so you end up teaching yourself everything.

She look nice but she gives a lot of homework. Every week, she give multiple choice with 40 questions and it not for homework. It for student to review for the quiz. It will be nice if she actually teach but she can't. I wouldn't recommend to take this class professor. If you are, RUN!!!!

The course needs improvement. The professor provides minimal explanations, assigns over 100 slides weekly, unrelated videos, and ungraded practice questions that don't match quizzes or exams. With unclear help and unclarified zeros on assignments, students feel set up to fail. Many are dropping due to lack of support; a better approach is needed.

This is worst professor I have ever had.Very unhelpful ,disrespectful and rude.If I could I would give zero on her rating.Please save yourself if you can by not taking her class. Department does not helps when complain about the professor.Taking this professor bad decision

very strict about grading topics and will not give any credit even if problems are solved correctly. Does not provide clear and constructive feedback to improve in the course.

Her rating means EVERYTHING. This is not a joke nor an exaggerated claim: Two-thirds of the students dropped their class before the end of the semester, and the rest either failed or barely passed. She is strict, and she does not know how to teach. The biggest takeaway I had from her class is that you can still fail even if you put effort.

Susie clearly doesn't like chemistry, teaching or students. Often produces incorrect answers to her own questions. Does not give clear instructions (about how many significant figures to use, etc) and then punishes students harshly for not being able to read her mind. Refuses to give any guidance about what will be on exams.

The rating is not a lie. I tried taking her class 2x and I just cannot get it. Her lectures dont help at all for what she test on. Doesnt help that tutoring is non existent for this class.

The rating is the truth!!. The lectures do not help at all on what you are being tested on, Only thing that helps is that afer every exam she sends a check in on how your grade is projected to be.

She is extremely strict with pre-labs and will ask students to leave for small errors. Her tone can feel passive-aggressive, and the class environment caused many students to feel discouraged. Several classmates dropped the course and frequently expressed concerns also she doesn't really explain things and exams are extremely hard.
