Excellent teacher who's engaging and very passionate about the topic. Great lectures (some students claimed they didn't need to use the book, although I found it helpful), pretty difficult but doable tests. I wasn't looking forward to taking biology, but Ms Baldwin changed my mind.
Very unsupportive, boring and moody. Out of date - everything is drawn on the board. Her lectures do not match the book, the outline, or the lab manual ($35.00). Tests are short answers, drawings, fill ins. If you cannot draw, don't even think about an A. Lab practicals are all fill in, spelling counts. Fills like she does not want you to pass. B..
Professor was very unsupportive. She teaches as though we should know the material already. Lots of drawings that you have to memorize in order to pass your test.spelling counts.essay questions on test and the lab and lecture finals are cumulative.Dont take her if you dont have to,half the class dropped.few A's ...B
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Warning danger danger. The most dry, boreing, unsupportive teacher who doesn't seem to care about the students at all. Will try to trick you on multipul choice questions . Is obseesed with the fear that someone might cheat to the point of distraction while you are taking a test. Bottom line: NO CREATIVITY!
Anatomy 1: She set crystal clear expectations, is very organized and literally spells out what information you need to know for the exams and test.Multiple opportunitys for extra credit and keeps you informaed on your progress. Be prepared to work in this class. Thre material requires a lot of memorization.
How could anyone rate this professor so low? The class is not easy, I will agree, but is Anatomy 1 supposed to be easy? She is very approachable and helpful (She helped me with two different test questions the day of the final). You do need the book, especially for the figures. And the $40 lab book requirement is Dr. Roy's requirement, not hers.
Study her notes and you'll do well. Exams are based on her notes and will cover everything she lectured. Book is helpful - Read before her lecture. 4 Exams mult. choice 100 quest. w/ a 150 quest. final. No Midterm. Gives opportunity for Extra Credit. She will drop your lowest exam. Not an easy A but not impossible.
After my experience with this woman and after recieving my grade i almost quit school entirely.150 question final.100 ?s on 13 new chapters roughly 368 pages we learned in 2 1/2 weeks in depth and 50 questions back old materisl for which we studied entire class.Lab teacher even agreed she was overboard.Dont walk RUN. Baldwin is terrible.unbelievabl
IF YOU HAVE NO WORK ETHIC, DO NOT TAKE HER. You have to study really hard, and you have to be serious about the subject. I worked my butt off and I got an A, but it wasn't easy, but she really tired to help out with lots of extra points.
She was soo sweet! She made everything as clear a possible. The drawings were very helpful. The class is a bit difficult, but is anatomy duh!!
This woman lectures for 3 hours straight! There is no interaction, just lecture. Her lecture does not always match the info in the book or the lab lessons. Try to take someone else. She uses trick questions on the tests (4 tests at 100 questions each and a final of 150 questions). I worked my ass off to get a B. She is condescending.
Mrs. Baldwin will answer ANY question you might have regarding the material which is rare of most professors. She also wants you to understand the material and makes it interesting by using actual hands on examples in class and lab. It is nice to see a professor who enjoys teaching her subject. She is very fair. You must take good notes!
an A+ professor! she will give an outlined handouts from the book. the handouts are very helpful, every lecture u need to take down notes, since every thing she wrote down will appear on the exams. she is very approachable and will answer your question promptly. also, every major exam she will tell u what is your current class standing, so if u nee
Ms. Baldwin really knows her material. She gives a lot of extra credit. Her tests are pretty hard but just take good notes and read them about 10 times. I got a C but i deserved a C. She is very fair and will answer any questions you may have!
her class and the tests are veryyyyyyyyyyy hard. she is the worst theacher if you want to get an F take her calss. she can talk for hours with out stoping and she is not helpfull
She's nice, not very helpful, and difficult professor. Be prepared to study. Her practical exams are difficult; they are fill-ins and spelling counts! Both lecture and practical finals are accumulative. Take advantage of her extra credit very helpful points towards your exam!
WOULD I TAKE HER AGAIN..... NOPE AND NOPE AND NOPE.... SHE IS THE ONLY TEACHER THAT GIVES A CUMULATIVE AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER.. LAB AND LECTURE...
I can't belive , she has good rating. She is not good at all, she thinks, she knows it all and she doesn't stay away
Ms. Baldwin is an excellent Professor. She is extremely knowledgeable, well organized, and has crystal clear expectations. Anatomy is a difficult subject and her class is very demanding, but if I had to do it again I would definitely take her. I walked away with a lot of information and am very grateful that I chose this professor.
She is a nice teacher who is thorough about what is expected. No matter what anyone says anatomy cannot be made easy! She gives opportunities for extra credit on each test which is better than most anatomy teachers. The point is this is a class that require A LOT of TIME and EFFORT. I worked hard and got a B but I could have gotten an A if I tried harder. I can't blame it on her.
Very Hard teacher!!!! Took her for Bio 3. Only thing I could really say is STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! You will not pass this class without studying. Test are hard. She says you dont need a book. Trust me you do! I would I take this teacher again! NO!!
This professor is AMAZING!! I took her in the fall semester and she is the sweetest lady on earth. She's very helpful and writes everything on the board. Her class isn't hard but you need to study a lot!! I would take her again for sure!! i'm gonna take Anatomy with her too!! :D
she"s a very good professor.knows her stuff. She tries to help out her students and only need the book for figures.Theres alot of drawing and she likes trick questions. she is very clear at the beginning of class that the material you have to know and study is like a full time job.final is culmative. You will learn alot!
I took her Bio 3 class. In order to pass her class you need to study EVERYDAY & ATTEND class. It's not just memorizing definitions, you need to be able to understand the concepts and be able to relate them to the lecture. Ms. Baldwin is very knowledgeable, prepared , and organized. She was ALWAYS available during her office hours.
wow... i had to petiton to get into a biology class and out of all the teachers i wanted i didnt want to get into her class she seemed very hard the first day or first 3 weeks of class, but thats the only class i got into. so i was like ugh im stuck with a hard professor i hate biology one thing for sure i got a B in her class and 2 As in her tests
didnt finish but anyhow she is very hard and strict but she is so helpful best teacher ever so dont judge a book by its cover she gives extra credit out which helps u in test make sur eu attend lab bc she gives a quiz out and study like there is no tomorrow i would study more than 20 hrs per week..i know i gave up my life but worth it ..
Prof. Baldwin is a gifted lecturer, take advantage of this.Record every lecture, listen to it, use the book for figures. Don't miss classes, she gives extra credit. Study with partners/groups. You learn a lot in this class, especially if you are passionate about really getting knowledgeable, you can get an A, but study like you really want to learn:)
Very sweet and helpful teacher. She loves to lecture and you will find all your test answers in the lecture. I didn't open my book a single time. Just listen well and you will get an A.
Lectures really well, but super fast and refuses to slow down. Tests are directly from her notes. Very very strict. Doesn't seem to care if students understand or not and just goes through the notes fast in order to finish on time, whether everyone understood or not. Doesn't curve the grades, even if there were not A's. STUDY her notes!!!!
I def. recommend her, she is a fair grader. If you study and want to get an A you can get an A. She is fair and very knowledgable. I got an A and I learned a lot. she is very knowledgable and understanding and lets you make up exams if you happen to miss them...
Take someone else. Tests cover minute details that are very simple to miss in lecture and tests on details she clearly stated she wasn't going to. Not worth it, if you have the opportunity, take someone else. I dropped her class, no way would I stay for that. Take someone else.
She's a great instructor, but you have to be willing to work. She's also really helpful if you demonstrate that you're eager and willing to learn. Come to class, get some solid lab partners, study the notes, practice the drawings, USE THE TUTORING LAB (especially for the final), study study study and you'll do well.
BEWARE! Nice teacher but her so boring lectures will put you to sleep...Her tests are very difficult and she doesn't give much guidance on material to focus on. Try and take another prof, if not be prepared to work verrrry hard. Its a tough class regardless of teacher so it'd be best to find a lil less anal of a professor
I took the online hybrid course after taking her Bio33 class the prior semester. She isnt exactly easy, but she is a great teacher. if you pay close attention and read her lectures online, you will get a good grade. She is very helpful if you actually do ask for help.
This instructed is okay. Very knowledgeable but if u work full time or can't make this class your number one priority then do not take her.
If you want to learn Biology, take Mrs. Baldwin. She pushes her A students to learn. Her exams are detailed, but everything is covered, and she will sit and work with you. She grades very fairly. Biology is not easy, but she prepares you for the next level, especially if you are a Biology major. If you want an easy grade, look somewhere else.
If your looking for an easy A did is NOT the class. Not recommended if your just taking it as GE. Her test are ridiculous hard. She teaches everything in so much detail which is great if Bio is your major. You will have to study, study, study, to get a C. If you plan on becoming a doctor take her. If this is your GE requirement DO NOT take her.
Great Professor- very intelligent and great at explaining thing clearly. Knows how to draw interest from the student. You absolutely have to study in this class or you will do poorly. I should've studied harder. Tests are from lectures- so don't miss a beat!
Mrs Baldwin teaches this course like it is a graduate-level biology class. Lectures are very detailed and it is unclear how to study all the information for the tests. Labs are tediously filled with dissections and lab practicals are very tough. There is a lot of memorization and information is not made interesting. I would not recommend.
First off, this is a science course so you know you're going to be putting in a lot of hours outside of that class to get a decent grade. Now if you want to learn this subject well, I would definitely recommend taking Professor Baldwin. Her exams may be tough but she does prepare you for your future biology courses (Bio 006).
If you want an A you have to really work hard. This class requires a lot of memorization. I recommend writing really thorough notes, reading the entire lab manual and selectively reading some sections of the textbook. Mrs. Baldwin is a very pleasant and kind person as well as a good teacher.
Mrs. Baldwin is amazing. If you want to learn biology, then you have to take her. Sure you can get an easy A elsewhere or with other instructors, but if this is your major, you need to know this stuff. Don't miss lecture and try to make her office hours. Tests are not easy, but fair.
expect to apply what you learned to the bigger picture.
She is very strict. Extremely hard grader. NOT clear on what she wants us to learn. Very rude when you ask her questions. I would NOT recommend taking any classes with her. Who would want to feel stupid when asking a question to clarify.
Test questions can be confusing and not what you would expect; most tests were quite difficult. Focus on her lectures; she does not go by the book at all! So you must attend class. She did not seem like she wanted people to ask questions she would always stop students before they finished asking. good thing was she offered extra credit clearlecture
Like any science class with lab, it's going to take a lot of dedication and work. I took her class Spring 2015. She was a little tough, but she is passionate about teaching biology. Definitely need to pay attention and take notes. If you don't put in the work, you won't pass. She's a nice lady and approachable.
I took Medical Terminology online. The class was very clearly laid out and not very difficult. Most assignments are done through interactive games that were fun! Other than that, there are discussion board posts and a project on a medical topic of your choice. Great class for anyone wanting to go into the medical field. Prof Baldwin is great!
The material isn't difficult but the tests are extremely hard. Class is out of 830 points and only 80-100 points are not tests. She is a very interesting person and I enjoyed her lectures but I tried studying different ways and still couldn't get higher than a low B on tests. Recommend not taking other classes while you take this one.
Professor Baldwin is one of my favorite professors. The textbook for the class is not needed at all, however the Lab Manual is. She is a very easy going person, but you do need to work for your grade. The tests are hard so be sure to study as much as you can. There is a field trip and its fun, but what you do/learn will be on the final.
Professor Baldwin was amazing! I know I could have gotten a better grade in her class if I had not missed so many days. Although her lectures were long and hard to listen to she loved what she taught which made it better. Just show up to her class and pay attention, the material is really easy if you listen to her explain.
Very VERY tough class. almost half the class drops out. But you will learn biology. But I really suggest you don't take her if you want a better chance of passing. It's a very hard class.
Not an easy A, but worth taking if you're passionate about bio. Who better to learn from than someone who is passionate about what they're talking about? She has a manner of speaking where it just sticks, and words don't go in one ear and out the other. You must read and re-read your book and notes. I recommend you review your notes everyday.
Prof Baldwin is a really good prof, no doubt. She knows everything that pertains to biology. She will explain everything. The problem is there's a lot to study; there's a lot to memorize. Miss a class, you're done! If you are a bio major, take her.
Honestly she is a great professor bio was not very easy but she made it clear as possible make sure to print out the notes on canvas they do come through
Professor Baldwin was definitely an intense class to pass. Test are very hard none are all multiple choice grade is based mostly on the handwritten portion which includes fill in the blanks and problem solving. She gives extra credit but you must be present in class its all based on attendance 3-5 points that goes towards your tests. Very hard !!!
Baldwin is amazing! Bio 7 is a very intense subject therefore there is a lot of material to cover. Need to study a lot to get a good grade. She really cares about her students and wants them to go good. She offers plenty of extra credit in class and an optional extra credit field trip so make sure you do them because every point counts.
Professor Baldwin makes it clear from the beginning that you have to go over your notes in Bio to pass. Tardiness doesn't matter to her, unless you know you're harming yourself by missing part of lecture. She lets you take pictures of her written nots that she projects on the screen. There is extra credit assignments.
Doesnt give homework. Took her for Bio 7. If you miss class you wont pass, take picture of her notes because thats what will be on the test forsure. Take pictures of slides and whats in jars during lab. Study hard! She is a great professor. She asks questions during lecture to help you start remembering previous lecture, give lots of extra credit!
I took her for a spring semester and because of this class my GPA was dropped. I only missed about two lectures throughout the whole semester. She is a kind professor but her connection towards students is way off. You really have to put in the extra time and extreme effort to pass her class.
I took this class in a 5-week summer session and it was a lot of work. However, she understood it was a lot and changed the way she taught and graded to accommodate our class. She is so passionate about Biology, a little too passionate lol. She keeps your attention which is a feat all in itself. In a normal semester, this class would be a breeze.
She's an absolute gem but the class itself is very boring and mundane. The class is four hours long and by the third hour you're just pulling hairs. If she taught a shorter class I would recommend but the length of the class is just unbearable, glad I survived.
Overall, this teacher was ok. I didn't love he teaching style, she explained a lot but also would get irritated if you asked questions. She gives lots of homework but it helps understanding the material.
Horrible professor. She is only there to give her lecture, not to teach. She won't answer many questions during lecture "due to time," and her OFFICE HOURS ARE AT 6AM. And she tests on every-single-thing she mentions in class. She responds to emails but is not helpful whatsoever. Her lectures are boring and does not connect lesson ideas.
I took this class with a high biology background, this professor makes students feel dumb for asking questions. The entire class is lecture which doesn't sound so bad if it weren't a five hour class. Allows you to take photos of her lectures but if people are late to class she wont let anyone take photos. Terrible professor avoid if you can.
Do not. I repeat do not take this teacher if you are trying to pass bio...... i missed two classes always did the assignments, tried my absolute hardest to pass this class..... if you take this class i will pray for you. She is very rude and if its not her way its the highway. By that being said i cannot stress this enough do not take her class....
Took this class with no background, 1st science. This class was demanding. I learned how to study in this class. Unfortunately I work, but with my best effort I was able to secure a B. Sometimes her lectures can drag on, but overall they are organized and follow the book. Read the book, do the hw, you can get an A. Everyone I studied with passed.
Professor Baldwin's class is pretty hard, but you will never forget what you'll learn there. She is great; although, she can be a little tough on you. None the less, she cares about her students; she will teach you everything she knows. You must read the book. Yes its a lot of work, but if you are serious about majoring in bio take.
Believe me guys just don't take here. Im currently in her class and its toooo difficult . I dont know why she is teaching bio by the hardest method . Today was first test and it was hell difficult. In class she is not explain anything and only writes one the board whole class time. Just crazy difficult class. Pls avoid her .
Professor Baldwin is an amazing professor! Her class is usually known to be difficult, but you learn a lot from her. If you want to do well in this class, take some time and study the material outside of class. Her tests are based off of her notes and she answers any questions you may have always. If you are willing to study, you will get an A.
Professor Baldwin is extremely caring and passionate about biology! Definitely have to study, and focus during lectures. Always take pictures of the lecture notes to study later! She is extremely helpful and gives extra credit opportunities for every test. Not impossible to get an A if you work hard and are serious about being a bio/pre-med major.
She is a Really sweet lady and is willing to help you if you don't understand something. I took this class in the summer and she gave us a lot of extra credit.
she is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. her lectures and lab are not correlated, her study guides and exams are not correlated as well. her instruction makes confusing students and it is an unrespectful attitude. I do not recommend you to take classes with her. she is horrible. I think her supervisor should think about this problem.
Wow, I've never learned so much about leaves and flatworms in my life. This is one tough class that prepares you for anything pre-med/dental associated courses for prospective transfer students. She makes you work for your letter grade and I'm thankful for taking this class as she taught me ways to strengthen my work ethics and priorities in life.
One of the best profs I've ever had! Tough but fair. Policies clearly listed in the syllabus. Lectures are heavy, don't slack. She does everything she can to help students understand the material. Handled the covid online switch like a Queen. She's an absolute sweetheart and is always available for help! The grade you get is the grade you earned.
Professor Baldwin is really amazing. She clearly explains everything in her lecture videos, and you can tell she's not just reading from a textbook. She actually knows what she's talking about. She's very available outside of class time for questions or help with labs. I would definitely recommend her class.
Very unorganized with her material and lectures. Does not give out much homework as needed to pass with a decent grade. Labs are the only source of points for grade. Does not provide study guide therefore does not give much detail in what to study for the exams it is solely based on the labs we do and what we read in the textbook.
Everything was clear and organized from the beginning. Very accessible for office hours/extra help. Didn't get textbook, just lab manual (needed). Lots of extra credit. Very enthusiastic. Put in the work and you'll pass. Class is as easy as possible to still get you to learn the material.
She is an amazing individual, but this class is extremely hard. She gives extra credit but you really need to have a full commitment to getting a good grade. Overall I enjoyed her attitude and passion for the subject she teaches.
I personally think this is the worst professor I HAVE EVER had because I took the W and did not continue on in the class. She seemed great at first, but there is a wise saying "looks can be deceiving" and boy was that right. She didn't post her powerpoint because people would not join zoom and also her study guide had NOTHING to do with the test.
Worst professor I've EVER had. She does not know how to teach online. Grades are determined heavily by tests, study guides are useless, and there's a TON of outside homework and lectures, despite the class being synchronous. Appears sweet and caring, but she's TERRIBLE! Messed up my class sequence/transcript and I completely regret taking her.
Worst Professor Ive ever had DO NOT TAKE. She is horrible at teaching. You have to teach yourself, people in my class are switching their majors because of her. She doesnt care about you whatsoever. Shell tell you youre not studying enough. Labs are worth 2 points and exams are 85% of your grade (Labs take hours to complete).
Exams take up 85% of grade, while labs that take HOURS to complete are worth 2%. Doesn't curve, isn't even really all that understanding, and the exams are tough & confusing. DON'T TAKE HER. She has put my entire UC transfer at risk/possibly messed up transcript. Tells us we're failing bc we don't study enough. Made 150 term quizlet, failed exam.
Worst Professor ever, if you wanna get PTSD from biology, go ahead and take her. I liked bio and was excited to start learning, but after taking her I can't even hear the word about bio. I changed my major and changed all my plans. 2 points for each lab that takes hours to finish, 85% for tests that are confusing and very heavy. Don't take her!!!!!
Professor Baldwin really prepares her students for the medical field. She is extremely difficult but is also really nice and caring. This class definitely ruined my 4.0 GPA, but I am not upset I took it, as I learnt a lot. I really didn't like the fact that her class was so exam heavy, and wish there were more assignments.
Professor Baldwin is one of the hardest professors I have ever had. She also makes a substantial effort to be available and help her students. However, she expects the same amount of effort from her students. EC opportunities will depend on class participation. I strongly recommend doing the honors discussion because they are a great way to review.
Professor is well educated but presents herself as the stereotypical teacher who cares more about her way of doing things than teaching itself. I hope some teachers come to realize making tests over 60 questions inhibits certain students from performing well, and it isn't representative of how well they know the information.
I took her in fall , very disappointed in her teaching ,never gives exam preparations , never answers questions , passive aggressive .
She definitely knows what shes talking about, very informative but her exams are crazy hard. She writes her own exams so she puts a lot of trick questions. She does give Extra credit but it isnt significant enough to change your grade. Her review exams are kinda useless since shell switch it up if she feels the class is slacking.
I took Professor Baldwin's biology class in person during a 5 week course. She was always on top of everything and she was super caring towards submitting assignments. Her quizzes were pretty easy, if you watched the lectures and studied you would for sure pass the class! It was pretty hard but it was also pretty easy at the same time.
I had Professor Baldwin and a lot of these people write really mean things but she's the sweetest. She's really understanding and I took the 8 week course. She gave extra credit and made sure she would help us understand the material. 4 months was crammed into 8 weeks and it was hard, but really fun. I made a family in that class. Study! It helps:)
If you want to teach yourself biology I highly recommend this class. You have a quiz and lab every week so you can never really miss class. The labs take hours but are only worth 5 points. You can study the entire study guide and still do bad on the test. Take a better professor
Professor Baldwin was amazing, I learned a lot in her class, however, I did study a lot and put the effort in her class, which you will most definitely need to do if you want a good grade. Quizzes are every week and the final is worth 100 points. I recommend her because she is extremely easy to talk to and discuss how you can improve your grade.
Professor Baldwin is a tough grader, but makes herself available, even outside of her posted hours for students who have classes during that time. She took the time to work with me to make sure I could ace the final to get the A I needed. Very caring, never condescending when needing review instruction. Take lectures in person if possible.
The people who learned a lot in this class did so because they taught themselves. Gives the illusion of being organized, but materials are all over the place. She makes herself available if you have questions, but she just doesn't actually TEACH much. More like "Ask me questions and I'll teach". How about you teach then I'll ask you questions?
Great prof but it is a tough class. Her tests are tough, but she gives you an outline of everything you need to know and allows you to have a flashcard with notes. She's very nice and will help you whenever you need. Be prepared to study a decent amount and do the assigned work (which isn't too hard) and you should pass the class.
Anatomy 001 8-week course. Overall Prof. Baldwin gives you everything you need to succeed; extra credit, study guides for EVERY exam, and thorough lectures. You are to review her lectures online, take notes, and during lab you will practice the human models and ask questions. I truly learned so much and appreciate her teaching style.
This was one of the hardest classes I've taken but it was an accelerated 8wk course. Professor Baldwin is a tough teacher but she is very organized and clear on what is expected. I learned a lot for sure but I put in a lot of study time to be able to get the grade I did. If you can dedicate time and effort to this class you can do it. DEF GRIND
I took her for FALL 2023. She is a sweet & best professor. Really cares & helps students pass her class. Will let you use a 3x5 index for the test. Study her videos & drawings (will be on test). She is strict. Do not miss class & turn in all labs (detail). Memorization is the key. I really enjoy her class. I learned alot & made really good friend
Best professor, learned so much. It's a hard class and she doesn't make it harder but wants you to learn. If you put in you off work you will do good. She does extra credit and drawing of the systems which is great. Take her if you want someone who will inspire you.
PLEASE READ. Completely unbelievable. This professor sets you up for failure. Impossible to ask questions and receive clarification because she makes you feel dumb for asking a question. Extremely uninterested in any concerns coming from students. PLEASE dont take this course with this professor, you will not do well. Should not be a teacher.
Do not take her class unless you want to fail. She gives so much lecture having you memorize all of it. Her lectures are very heavy and her tests are very difficult.
Be prepared to dedicate every single second to this class to fail! She doesnt grade fairly at all and doesnt even care to explain the material to students. Asking a question is not possible since she makes you feel extremely dumb. Very discouraging professor will set you up to fail. Tests are extremely difficult and impossible to pass! DO NOT TAKE!
Please avoid!!!!!
This Teacher should not teach college level anatomy class. She uses her own terrible writing and drawing in exams and expect you to interpret and understand them. She makes it just impossible. Please do not take her at all cost.
The absolute worst semester in my entire time at LAVC, with the worst teacher ever. Unfortunately, you do not learn anything and she will make you hate every second of this class. Her comments, her condescending attitude and especially her passive aggressive approach makes it impossible to learn properly. Do yourself a favor and do not take her!
DO NOT TAKE, HARD FOR NO REASON Exams worth over 80% of the grade Some of her diagrams look like nothing in the human body; you will be tested on HER diagrams; which makes it difficult to master topics; anatomy is already hard enough; with few quizzes, you will need to learn 12 of HER diagrams + 5 entire systems for 1 exam Pro: Study guide?
This class is difficult although Anatomy 101 is a tough and materiel heavy class. Suzanne cares about her students and does her best to be attentive and helpful. She is extremely knowledgeable and clear, offers lots of extra credit which saved my grade. She explains in detail and strives to be an asset to students perusing careers in healthcare.
If you want to watch a massively dull person sketch the female reproductive system so that it resembles a drunk rabbit, this class is for you. To read on here that she tests on her "diagrams" is indicative of what kind of ego dwells beneath the blue batik. I took her for another class, got an A. Withdrew from Anatomy 001 so fast. Don't take.
This professor is amazing I have taken her for bio and anatomy, she gives lots of opportunities to pass her class, clear directions of the material she is testing on, fun professor and knowledgeable. Anatomy is a hard subject so be prepared to study a minimum of 15 hours a week.
Truly cares about students. Exam heavy but with a study guide and lots of extra credit opportunities. Exam format is generally half lab (memorization of parts) and half lecture (understanding). Expect to learn a lot from her. Seems intimidating, but genuinely wants her students to have a solid foundation for physiology. A great professor overall.
Tough course with an intense workload. Professor Baldwin expects a lot, but using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook can help manage the difficulty. Attend class and study hard - the material is dense, but doable with the right approach.
Professor Baldwin is the best professor I have ever met, her lectures are grea. Anatomy is challenging and she makes it easy for you. I've taken her class on fall semester. Highly recommend!
if i had three months left to live, i would go to professor baldwins class everyday because it would make it feel like an eternity. worst professor ever truly does not care about her students. save your sanity
I Bio033 for a 8 week course. They assign a lot of chapter work and discussion forums with strict requirements. They are also very strict with their deadlines. They assignment a video project but did not include a rubric and a breakdown of expectations was not listed in the Syllabus as stated. Comes off as passive aggressive.
A lot of material but very doable. Lectures were a bit boring. HW comes in the form of fun, interactive games that you can redo until you get the grade you want (abt 3 chances). Also, had a recorded presentation. follow criteria for maximum points. She always sends dm if you haven't submitted assignment and due date is near, which is appreciated
She dropped me just because I have technical problems with Pearson. I wrote her an email, explained how important is these class for me, but no excuses.
I just took Mrs. Baldwin's class for anatomy for the fall semester and I loved it so much! I got burnt out near the end but she makes anatomy so easy to understand, especially with the lecture classes. Make sure to take notes because a lot of exams are lecture heavy. She was a very nice professor. I would take this class again!
