Everything is straight from the book. She loves to talk about herself though.
Does an ok job. Doesnt seem real friendly to help.
Excellent Prof., very knowledgeable and very helpful. Cares about her students
Learned a lot abour management

Avoid at all costs! She talks about work & defines terms, but test on "What if"
Doesn't lecture well, tests are over everthing in book, and up for throw.
I came to class everyday, read book, still did bad on all exams.
Don't disagree with her or you will be in for a long uphill battle.
HARD CLASS!! Tests aren't fair at all.. & anything's game! Good memory required
She doesn't explain anything. If I was you, I wouldn't take this teacher.
Exams are hard, groups projects beneficial to final grade, boring class
very good at confusing the class, not giving a clue as to what is on the exams,
Wanna fail out of school?? Take her and she'll make it possible!! Hard tests
wow! exams suck, she did curve the final grades once she realized we all had F's
GVSU really needs to get rid of her. Tests are impossible and so are lectures
Take this class in the spring.
Very orgznized. Lectures meaningful & interesting
If you're looking for success in business, take this prof.
Tests are easy if you read text and study
hard tests!!!! boring class
hard tests and pointless lectures...just read the textbook
This class stunk! Get out unless you have a very good memory or you want 2 fail
Great teacher. Plan on taking another course from her

smokin hot prof. has a genuine care about student's success.
If you want to get an F take her class. Class boring, lectures pointless and exam impossible.
If you need to lower your GPA take her. Lectures straight from the book and writes the exam from another planet. I would have done just as well if everything was in greek. Worst Prof ever.

Exams are pretty hard. Very broad subject but easy. If you look over the 30 mysteries she puts on exam out of the possible 180 things, you might do well. Otherwise you are clueless on what could be on there.
Tests Suck, doesnt prepare you at all. Anything in book is game. Very organized but paper, project and tests are impossible. AVOID
Very nice lady, but tests are bit tricky.
Most boring class ever! She puts definitions of words on overhead sheets the whole class period. Nothing she talks about is on the exam, so you better read every little thing in the book, including diagrams. No bathroom breaks in a 6-9 class!!

The material isn't that difficult to comprehend. She is a very nice and understanding professor.
Lectures are boring and she goes off on pointless tangents. Exams are hard and are based on the book and not at all on the lectures. Lots of projects/teamwork too.
Very hard exams. if you miss even a few multichoice, your grade drops quick. Presentations are boring and she does rely on overheads. I would look for another teacher if I were you.
Goes thru a lot of material - textbook, assigned business book, addt'l readings. Students expected to stay on top of readings & hand in weekly assignments. Multiple choice quizzes cover readings. Group project too! Heavy workload.
What is the point on going to class? Her exams are never on what she talks about. Come to think of it, she didn't really say anything... learned a lot about her life though. Read the book, daydream in class.
Easy class, hard tests

No need to take notes from lecture. Only tests from the book. Read book! and do homework. Almost all assigments collected. Big group project but its easy. Took in summer-no problem.
Tests are very difficult! Lectures are not helpful at all - everything on test comes straight out of the book. She expects you to memorize the book - multiple choice and essay questions are based on random sentences from the book. Don't pay attention in lectures - she contradicts the textbook.
Alot of Reading. Do your homework and study a couple hours for the two test- the aren't hard, but you need to study.
Read the book and do the homework! Tests cover only the book information, they are not hard but you can't BS your way through them. The group project is not hard but rather large.
Very easy/boring class but very tough tests. She's very easy going and the projects are easy to do well on. READ the chapters, tests are based more on that than her lectures. So hard to pull off an A in the class. B's and C's are the norm. Likes to discuss womans' struggle in the workplace
Intesting lectures if u like the topic. Not a hard class as long as you study for the tests. Easy grading on the projects. There's not a ton of work and if u do it, the class isn't nearly as hard as some make it out to be.
Test are difficult, 10 questions for every 5 chapters on specific points.Watch out one word may change from the text. The class is based out of 100 points so if you miss 4 questions and one homework assignment you are already at an A-.You'll read approximately 50 pages per chapter (with handouts).
She's a fairly good prof, but her lectures are boring and pointless. All of the exam material comes straight out of the book. Projects aren't very hard as long as you have a good group.
lectures are boring. tests and quizes are on text only. don't bother listening to lecture, take a nap.
Good prof, but lectures are pointless. The multiple-choice questions on the tests are word for word from the book. In other words, READ! The paper and presentation are easy, just make sure you are in a good group.
Go to class and try not to sleep (attendance + BORING lectures). Follow syllabus for projects, talk in class, read every word on every page of the chapters and if you're lucky, you'll get a B.
The class was okay. The lectures were pointless because the test was right from the text. But you had to be there because she takes attendance. She did a good job of breaking up the class period by having presentations, lecture and a video.
This class actually isn't as bad as everyone makes it out. Yes, attendance is madatory, but there are no exams. Only 2 quizes with 10 multiple choice questions. They are purly over the book, not lecture or extra handouts. The class is split nice, doesn't even feel like 3 hours. She also gives out snacks. Plus she always curves.
Do all of the readings, assigments, and study for the tests. You will not do well in this class if you are not prepared every single week. The course is not difficult, but you must be prepared.
You will do a lot of busy work...the homework is a joke, but if you do it, you'll get full credit. The partner assignment is vague-you basically have to figure it out yourself. Her quizzes aren't too hard, as long as you do the reading. Don't even bother with the Pfeffer book though - unless you have lots of free time on your hands.
boring lectures and gives multiple choice tests that are very unclear
Ok, her class consists of lectures based on her thoughts, group work, multiple choice tests that come directly from the book, you MUST READ, and a long paper with a few presentations. A fairly easy class if you read and do the work.
Very nice prof! granted, her lectures are kind of pointless, and if she didn't take attendance, then there would really be no point to showing up. READ THE BOOK!! Her tests are based ONLY on that. But, they are not that hard as long as you READ! Group projects not bad at all, just as long as you have a good group. Take MGT with her! Easy grade!
Not too bad. Lectures were pointless as there are no exams in this class. Two group projects and tons of group work. She gave out treats every class. Attendance mandatory
Not a bad prof. Has 3 group presentations over the semester, so she doesn't spend a ton of time lecturing. Exams come straight out of the book, so that's all you need to study.
Fairly good prof. Very nice and always friendly. Material is common sense for the most part. LOTS of group projects, but you stay with the same group. Most of the class is just group presentations. Exams are multiple choice/TF or fill in the blank, and are a good representation of the material (not too hard, not too easy). A few required assignment
she was a nice lady, but basically the whole class is based off of 3 group projects, 3 tests and participation. If u dont like to talk dont take this class. Tests were straight from the book. Make sure you read the chapters.
This class is really easy, although the lectures are incredibly boring. Dr. Crampton is a very nice person and talks A LOT!!! Exams are right from the book, very simple if you look over the chapters. Class is mostly graded on group projects but she's not a hard grader. All in all it's not a bad class.
This class was ok. Dr. Crampton's clothing style is something else. She seems to be stuck in the 80's and she will NEVER duplicate an outfit. Test are straight from the book. Attending class is a waste of time, because all you really do is watch youtube videos and listen to her boring lectures that have nothing to do with the test.
What? Crampton has mad style. I find her quite prestigious. She is concise and makes the class fun. Group projects save your grade because mult choice exams might screw it. No, just read the text, it is wordy. solid info.
She is a really nice person but I just could not get over her pitchy voice - very annoying and she sure likes to talk a lot. She has some valuable information and I think she is very helpful too.
OMG the worst prof. at GVSU.I just hate her so much. if she wasnt taking attendence for my grade, i would never went her class. It is usuless. She talks about nothing related to the class and the exams are much harder than it should be. For the exam you have to read a single word to word from the text book. She teaches nothing, absolutly nothing.
OMG the worst prof. at GVSU. if she wasnt taking attendence for grade, i would never went her class. It was usuless and waisting of my time. She talks about nothing related to the class and the exams are much harder than it should be. For the exam you have to read a single word to word from the text book. She teaches nothing, absolutly nothing.
Overall the class was boring and harder than it should have been. The lectures are not very interesting and have very little to do with the test material. Also, Prof Crampton tends to point out a lot of negative things and label a lot as "sucky" and "crappy".. not a very professional or pleasant environment to be in.
She is really irritating, she never uses blackboard to post your grades so you have to keep track yourself. Based on my attendance and all my class work I thought I had a A-/B+ in her class and then I got a B- on my transcript. She's so unclear and her class is no fun. If you memorize the book you'll probably be find with a a B
Not as bad as people make her out to be. I failed her first exam and with the other two I got my grade to a B+. One thing she doesn't do is be explicit about terms being on the exam. One small line among a paragraph of directions on the exam review sheet. Almost half the exam is terms in fact so study them and you'll at least have half.ReadtheBook
Suzanne is a pretty good prof. She's been teaching at GVSU for quite some time, so she obviously knows what she's doing. She follows the book very closely and therefore some people complain about the difficulty of the exams. I received A's just by studying the previous day. A lot of group work, so you have to be lazy to do poor in this class.
This is by far my most unfavorite professor at GVSU over the past 4 years. Class is extremely boring, and I hate the tickers she uses to try to make class more interesting. Avoid her at all costs, but if you have her, READ THE BOOK. The book is way more useful than her lectures, which are mandatory. Good Luck!
This professor uses the book, like it is her bible. Her tests are straight out of the book and her power points come straight from the publisher. Her lectures are boring, and when you actually try to take notes, its useless because she goes so fast that you cant even right points of emphasis. Her exams cover WAY to much material. Good Luck!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Seriously, DON'T TAKE HER! Class is miserable, doesn't care about her students, is VERY rude to students she doesn't like, class/taking notes is pointless because the exams have nothing to do with what is spoken in class, all out of the book. Tests are VERY specific and CONFUSING. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS OR TEACHER
Good professor overall. Very nice person. I had her in the summer from 6-9pm and she lectured the entire time. Exams were ok because she gave review sheets.
Class can be summed up as extremely boring but pretty easy. Here is how to get an A. Show up for class regularly, and study test review outlines she provides either the day of or before test. She is helpful if you're respectful. Also, for her age she keeps a nice figure and is actually pretty hot.
She is so mean. Unreal. Most inconsistent grader and cannot back up the points she takes off. LEctures serve absolutely no purpose and the exams are awful. I am an A student and this class killed my GPA. Don't take her.
Very good presenter, gave interesting and easy to follow lectures. Very nice and approachable but she follows the rules and doesn't let you cut corners so she can be challenging. I'd say she's a good prof if you are an HR major
Dr. Crampton is incredibly smart and knowledgable in her field. She is friendly and understanding, and an excellent professor overall! If I could take every class with her I would.
She is very knowledgeable about Human Resources' topics. She presents her materials very well, but the exams are mostly based on the book. Just know the definitions and the correlating topics around it. There will be a big group project and it can be a little hard because meeting up as a group can be tough. She is EXTREMELY anal on essays and paper
Exams make up most of your grade, but the questions are mainly straight from the book. The final project is difficult and there isn't much direction given and she is a very harsh grader. She is nice once you get to know her.
One of the harshest graders I have ever had. Study from the book for the tests because her tests come right out of them, with lots of vocab. Loves her APA formatting, so don't mess it up. She appreciates it if you make an effort to talk to her about class assignments and the group paper, and your grade will reflect it.
Good prof. Lectures can be long. Tests are not horribly difficult but you need to know the material in and out as well as terms. Group projects throughout the semester. She checks for attendance so you cannot skip and just show up for tests.
Absolutely loved this professor and wish I could take all my classes with her. She's very knowledgeable, discusses current issues with the topics covered, and is approachable, organized and friendly.
Very professional yet a sense of humor. Definitely worth getting on her good side, for professional and academic purposes. Very aware and empathetic of students' workloads. Final group project and presentation (in front of company reps) VITAL to begin early during the semester (lots of research). She is helpful, and includes interesting facts.
The class is comprised of a few homework assignments, a big group project, a few exams, and attendance/participation points. Make sure you are well prepared for the final presentation, as she graded it harder than anticipated. If you skim the chapters before class, study the powerpoints, & study the chapter key terms, you will do well on the exams.
Worst and most pointless class I have taken at GV. Infuriated that I wasted my money paying for this class. You will present twice with a group. Assignments are extremely long for minimal points. She is the harshest grader I've had in college. The rest of your time in that class you will listen to her simply reading the PowerPoint to you.
You will lose your confidence in writing papers because of this lady. Lectures are extremely fatiguing. She tries to make common sense material tougher than it really is. The woman is worse than the Joker in the Dark Knight movie.
Insane amount of group work. Try your best not to procrastinate. Study a lot for the tests too! It's really hard to pay attention in class, because she covers so much material, but you can get a few points of extra credit for making every class.
Crampton isn't as hard as everyone else is saying. Her lectures are informative but she tests straight from the book. She even gives you a study guide. Focus on that and you'll be fine. The group project is brutal so choose wisely. Crampton is very knowledgeable & her outfits are on point.
Very strict grader, expects you to know the syllabus like the back of your hand so I recommend consulting it before you do every assignment.
one of the worst prof i have had at grand valley, you don't need to show up to lectures everything you will be tested on is straight out of the book. the review she gives you is not helpful at all. the wording she has on her exam makes them difficult. she made an easy class very hard. she has unreasonable expectations for case studies. STAY AWAY
Dr Crampton is one of my favorite professors! I wish I could take her for all classes. She is such a nice woman and cares about her students. I had her in the fall and enjoyed her class. Study the chapters & there is no reason to get a bad grade. She's very personable & helpful. Her outfits are the best and she is really knowledgable.
Prof Crampton is what you would expect from an upper-level Seidman professor. She will make you work for your grade. She does get a little dull with her lectures, but I think it is because she tries to cram a lot of content into one class. She assigns a HUGE group project that takes up the last weeks of class. Prepare- she takes it very seriously.
She ran this entry level MGT course similarly to a 400 level course. Case studies are your main source of course work and unfortunately she grades incredibly harsh. The group project paper isn't difficult, however, be ready for a painful question and answer period following your presentation.
Do not take this class, the group project itself isn't bad until the presentation. She drills you with questions, and makes you look stupid in front of the class. She talks down to you and is rude. She is a tough grader, and takes it way too serious for the level of the course.
Class is just Professor Crampton reading from slides. There are a couple group projects but as long as you follow the rubric, it is easy to get a good grade. Tests are super easy as long as you do the review.
Lectures are straight from the powerpoint; not available to students via bb. Questions on exams come from specifics in the textbook. Case studies done throughout the semester. The end of semester paper and presentation is graded harshly and the prof makes sure to ask difficult questions and humiliate you in front of the class. Take another section
Prof Crampton is a solid professor, and she really knows her stuff. She lives and dies by the textbook and her syllabus. The HW seemed a bit much at times, but the tests are literally the book, so read it! Final group project takes time, and she grades it very specifically, so if you don't procrastinate, you'll walk out with a good grade.
Crampton was a very difficult professor. She was a tough grader and was hard to please. Also, she was usually sassy and not really excited to help students out. I am usually an A and B student and ended up with a C+ in her class, which lowered my seidman gpa. I would strongly advise you to take someone else.
Extremely tough grader. Exam study guides are filled with so much information that it is almost impossible to retain everything. Class is very boring, reading straight from a slide show that she does not even post online.
For starters, I took this class as an elective, she makes this course much harder than it needs to be. Classes are very boring, and it is difficult to stay attentive. She reads straight from the slides, no other form of instruction. Her exam reviews are only around 50% useful, asks unclear/vague test quests. Take this class with another professor!
Crampton is not nearly as hard as reviews are saying, you just have to put in effort. Coming to class gets you extra credit, and taking notes on her lectures helps a lot. There's a couple group projects, and so long as you follow the guidelines step by step you will get full credit. Exam reviews are a little lengthy so collaborate w/other students.
She went through the powerpoint slides so quickly, it was almost impossible to take notes and would fly through them at the end to cram in info. We had case studies throughout the semester but only collected a few, so your grade depended on the exams and group projects. I went to her office hours once and that wasn't even helpful
This class is easy if you do the readings and the short assignments. We had a group project where you go over a case and then make a game for the chapter. Tests are multiple choice, all from the book, so read read read. She does go through the slides really fast, but she lets us discuss the topic for however long we want.
She is very passionate and knowledgeable about this subject. Her lectures are never boring and always have lots of discussion. She incredibly sweet, but has very high expectations of her students and their work. Big group project over the course of the semester, but manageable. Very simple exams, but definitely need the textbook to pass the course
Decent professor but teaches right out of the book and off the slides. She is really frazzled and not confident in her knowledge at all. HW is all online assignments due at midnight which is really dumb.
Isn't much of a teacher. She relies on the online homework, which she doesn't create, and reads off power points for every single lecture. If you are able to do the online work on time and can handle sitting through incredibly boring lectures where you won't learn anything, she may be the teacher for you.
Worst teacher I've ever had at GVSU. She talks for the whole class so done expect to get out early ever. Also takes point away if you are absent. Uses the powerpoint the whole time and goes threw them super fast. Would never take again.
She kinda just talks about nothing the entire time. I honestly learned everything from the book. Follow her study guides and you'll be fine. She is very annoying about group projects though, very picky. She also will linger on slides in the powerpoint that don't matter and then rush through the slides you actually need.
stay away! If you want to learn anything do not take this professor. She rambles all class about nonsense and reads directly off powerpoint. She expects way too much out of class that is based on common sense. The group projects are horrendous she expects your group to have a 30-40 minute presentation about three, one min clips. Do not take!
Don't take her. End of story.
Take a different professor is possible. She assigns a lot of online textbook work and changes dates without informing students. Tough grader on the final project and provided minimal feedback. Very lecture heavy and doesn't post notes or anything to study off of other than a vague study guide given to students in class
She seems nice and like a good professor throughout the semester, but she will GRILL you for the final project. You can work as hard as possible and still be lucky to get a C. You're graded on several exams, two presentations, and participation (including showing up to class).
Been in this class for 4 weeks and already dont know whats going on. Very unclear expectations and does not talk about/go over the chapters in a way that should help with the test.
Would not recommend this professor to anybody. The final project has ridiculous guidelines that are almost impossible to meet. The final project also consists of the students teaching the class for the last part of the semester. She is super confusing and doesnt answer questions clearly.
Just dont do it honestly
She is the absolute worst. Grading and expectations are only listed in the syllabus and she does not talk about it in class. Seriously the worst professor on this campus.
Professor Crampton is honestly the worst. There is no other way to put it. Her lectures consists of her straight talking at you with a PowerPoint. So boring, I wanted to skip everyday. Her syllabus outlines are long and clear but she changes things up all the time and is annoying particular on both group projects. I learned absolutely nothing.
Professor Crampton asks for a lot of effort from her students, but doesn't put in much effort herself. There is no effort on her end to make the lectures/class even remotely interesting, and the last month of class is basically taught by the students. Frequent homework assignments that take long, and grades TOUGH on the group projects.
Professor Crampton isn't as bad as all of these reviews make her out to be. She is a good professor who is very knowledgable on the material she teaches. She does assign a decent amount of homework online. There are some papers and a group project you have to complete. She is a TOUGH grader on papers. Her exams are easy if you actually study!
By far the worst professor I have ever had. Did not give any instruction and had students figure out work by themselves. She put in no effort to help out especially during COVID. Impossible to learn anything. No instruction at all in group project and very very picky. Cannot stress enough do not take her!!!!
If you want to learn about how to manage people, save your money and don't take this class- get a job at Chick-Fil-A intead. Seriously, if learning theorems and meaningless group projects is your cup of tea, by all means Prof. Crampton is your gal. She is the most scrupulous teacher you will ever meet. Do yourself a favor and AVIOD THIS CLASS!
This class was organized well, but Professor Crampton's grading criteria was not specific enough. She expected way too much from her students for the group projects and her feedback on our essays was brutal. It felt as though she had no positive comments for any of our writing that we all worked incredibly hard on. I would want this Prof again.
Ignore all of these negative reviews. I assume those people were just lazy. As long as you do the weekly modules, you will be fine. There were only 2 group projects which were very manageable. She laid out very clear expectations. I enjoyed how organized the class was structured and how there were no surprises. As long as you do the work, you get A
She gives some criteria on how to do the discussion posts, but it did not correlate with how she graded. Each chapter had 3 assignments. She is very wordy and wants you to do a lot more than necessary. She does not upload your grades to blackboard from MindTap until the end of the semester. So your grade will just be discussions until the end
I have studied over 7 hours for a test. Still have no idea what we learned. Way too much information overload in her lectures. Too many topics and lessons to cover in such a short period of time. She is not a mean Prof. but I would still not recommend her.
Just don't do it. Find a different Prof. Thank me later.
Lots of homework, make sure to get ahead on homework if you want to succeed with her. If you put in the work, you should be able to get an A, but honestly another professor for this class would be much more beneficial. From my understanding, she is not sincere when it comes to students questions regarding the syllabus and a hard grader.
One of worst I have had over the years. I took this course for my major and hated it. I know group projects are important. We had two group presentations throughout the semester and she needs to understand its not easy for some individuals to speak in public like she can. She mentioned in class average presentation was a B. She need more patience.
