Way cool calss so far I am waiting to see how it turns out so far shes an awesome Prof!
Delaney is awesome! She gives an EXCELLENT overview of the field of psychology and sparks interest with the most well known, unbelievable experiments! A MUST FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN PSYC OR RELATED FIELDS!!!!! (p.s. it counts for psyc 101 and is a better
delaney is by far the best professor i had while an undergrad at uofa!
lecture is interesting and she is something to look at.
One of the best professors teaching required undergrad classes. Is clear in the lectures, tests are straighforward and out of the notes. All you have to do is show up and you can pass the class.
Awesome class!
Awesome class and shes really nice
Amazing teacher knows what shes doing and presents the information in a fun way you leave each day feeling like you actually learned something
She is very clear in her lectures. There really is no need to read the book!
Best teacher i have had at this institute.
She's quirky and nice and always helps out her students. She makes her lessons so interesting and makes a class of 300 engaged in the lesson. One of the best teachers I've ever had!
Amazing Class, Amazing Professor
sweet class and teacher
awesome, she's amazing with presenting material in a way that is easy to understand and is intersting at the same time
What everone else said and then some. She's awesome!
shes really nice and understanding and makes the lectures bearable. shes funny and gets the class involved even when there are 500 people in the class. good class and teacher!
this class is interesting and easy! she is very nice!!
Another class I wound up taking because the UofA employs imbeciles as academic advisors. BUT, Delaney is a really nice person. Her class is very straightforward, and not very difficult at all. One could concievably pass this class without learning a thing, but the experience is painless. Also, be prepared for a huge class (350+) if you want it.
I love Dr. Delaney!!
Interesting class, interesting teacher! You don't even need to buy the book; everything's in the notes. Only the tests are really graded (which are easy as long as you look over the notes) and everything else you just turn it and get credit for. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs an easy and interesting indv!
Dr. Delaney is very helpful and engaging. The material isn't too challenging, but it's a fun class.
Absolutely fantastic teacher! She makes everything interesting and is very into her subject matter. Very nice, very smart woman.
Delaney kept the class as interesting as Psychology of Methods can get, she is humorous and strives to make sure everyone understands the material. Her tests are a bit difficult so I recommend studying. If he is still around I recommend Jon Scefcek for Methods Lab, he is an awesome dude.
Delaney is an awesome teacher. Her lectures are very engaging and she is truly interested in what she is teaching. The tests are easy as long as you review the notes. She also posts practice tests online.
You have to have this teacher!! she is amazing
Delaney is a great teacher! DO NOT take the class that is only once a week for 3 hours. It is really hard to sit for 3 hours in any class no matter what the subject is. Its a great class, but take the one that has more than once a week.
She is an amazing techer! She make sthe course so much fun! I really recommed the class!
Delaneys the shiz. Her tests are ridiculously easy and she's super cool. She shows lots of videos and makes everything really fun and easy. She loves what she's teaching. If you're looking for an INDV take this one.
Her tests are easy, she's a fun teacher. I had the 3-hour lecture and I rarely went to the class, still got an A, and I only studied 30 minutes before the test. All her test questions are from her powerpoint (which she posts online).
She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed her class. The lectures are a lot of fun and you get to watch a lot of movie clips. You definitely do have to take notes and keep up on the work, but her tests are pretty easy.
She really knows her stuff I was impressed. I would go to her class even if it was not required. She is probably the nicest person ever, I don't remember her saying one negative thing all semester. Her tests are easy but applied meaning that you must know the material well enough to distinguish some things from others. good online materials too!
If you need to take Psych 101, take it with her, just don't take the 3 hour, once a week...wow you will never stay the whole time! She is great and the class is easy as long as you take notes and study for the tests...1 paper, so easy, i did it the day of, hungover, and got an A...you prob don't even need to buy the book, she covers the material in
Wonderful professor! Great lectures with videos, interesting slides, and guest speakers. Test are easy as long as you study a bit, and the term paper is a sinch! You have to do experiments, but they're kind of fun. The extra credit helps. One hint: do NOT take the class that meets once per week...too long!!
I LOVE DR. DELANEY!! She is so amazing, so much fun and so prepared for class. Her lectures are truly interesting and she is such a genuine person. One of my top rated classes so far.
she is very inspirational and she helped motivate me to make some positive changes in my life
She is awesome. She is funny and relates all the material to common things so you can understand her. Great!
I love her!
really good at explaining things
Structure of Mind and Behavior with Delaney is probably the best general education class that you can take here. You can tell that she really loves the topic and is a very engaging lecturer. She also loves to show movie clips. The class was incredibly easy, whether you take the honors section or not. She certainly sparked my interest!
Very easy class. Tests are easy as long as you study and take notes. She is a very good teacher and easy to understand.
Very easy class. Tests are easy as long as you study and take notes. She is a very good teacher and easy to understand.
She is a wonderful teacher- gives great examples and you can tell she loves the material. The tests are not hard, she prepares you for them. Interesting information. Slides posted online after each lecture so you can use them to study. I really recommend her class.
make that "the world is a BETTER place"*...my bad. so true though.
BEST GEN ED EVER! Dr Delaney is an awsome teacher. She makes the material interesting to learn and you will actually want to go to class! you get to participate in experiments and you have to write a term paper on one of them. Very easy and fun class!
She is amazing! This class is so much fun and very easy to understand, you will learn a ton! I love it, it should be required for all students!
she good i guess.
the class is really easy Delaney is fun and interesting
she is great
Dr. Delaney is an amazing teacher. She made class fun and it was really interesting. Definitely recommend this class!!!
Easy class, good professor. Just show up and take notes -- don't really have to read the book at all.
The class is very easy and pretty interesting. The tests are simple, all multiple choice and only 25 questions on each of the four total tests. Paper is really easy and there is extra credit.
Really interesting class. The tests aren't too bad, as long as you study. And the assignments are super easy. She's really sweet and has good TA's. A good class to take to get gen-eds done with.
Delaney is awesome and the class is interesting. TAKE IT!
Dr. Delaney is a great instructor. She is fair and encouraging to students. This tests in this class were tougher than some tests that I had in other classes, but she gives a study guide to help you choose what to focus on. It is also good to skim over the text book.
By far best professor and class of my college experience! I took her 3 hour class on a wednesday night and she made it entertaining and easier to sit through than alot of my 50 minute classes! HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS CLASS!
Best professor at the U of A
Took 2 of her classes - I highly recommend her. She goes through the same things over and over so if you don't get it you're probably just an idiot. It's impossible NOT to get an A. All of her powerpoints are up online and she takes all her test material from there, so as long as you look them over for a couple hours you should get a good grade.
I've taken her for three classes, she's very sweet, and eager to help. Flexible about turn in dates, and understanding of personal issues that may get in the way. She's a little unclear at times, but the material is super easy, so it's not a huge issue. I recommend going to class, since her power point notes are a little bare. If you go to clas
Absolutely amazing. She is one of those teachers where you know she truly cares about every one of her students and loves what she is teaching. She gets to excited about every topic and is entertaining during class.
she makes stats make sense
I LOVED THIS CLASS! delaney loves what she does and can make a class of 500 students excited about psychology. There is a lot of info and it can seem overwhelming when studying for a test, but don't freak out because her tests are pretty easy. Just take good notes. It's not hard to pay attention in class...you WANT to listen to what she is saying.
She is one of the best professors at the U of A. This class is amazing!! i highly recommend it for everyone, even non-psyc majors/minors. Class is easy but very interesting!
This class was not as great as others say. The beginning was really interesting but then it just got really boring. She's a really nice teacher but it's quite a bit of work for just an indv
her structure of mind and behavior class is what made me decide to be a psyc major. Her lectures are interesting and her tests are EXTREMELY EASY. All you have to do is read your notes before the test and you'll do fine. TAKE THIS CLASS!!
She is such a sweet lady and she makes class fun...she kept us laughing and was always really helpful. But sometimes, while she's trying to make it easier, she overcomplicates it. It was easier for me to just learn from the book. You have to go, because she occasionally gives in-class assignments, and there's HW every class. Good TA, too.
Delaney is a great professor, she makes lectures very interesting and interactive and she likes to have fun with everything, it is a bummer she won't be teaching structure mind and behavior next year, but i heard she is teaching stats in eller so check it out! great teacher
Enjoyable class. Teacher is passionate about material and will answer any question you have. Works with her class in regards to deadlines (papers, projects). In class writing assignments. Multiple choice tests.
Awesome teacher! Glad we got her from Psych. She is very personable and interacts comfortably with class. Always provides sufficient examples and plenty of review of the concepts. Truly one of the best EDUCATORS at the U!
The class is interesting and she tries to make it fun. It is clear and easy to understand and she is a great professor. Highly recommend that you take this course =)
Wow. Words cannot begin to describe how useless she is as a MGMT 276 teacher. Why would they have this psychology teacher lecture statistics? The Texts book has little to nothing to do with the exams or material taught in class. She choose to include another text ?The Psychology of Judgment and Decision Making? which is simply a book about vari
great teacher
This is by far the most boring, un-engaging class I have taken at the university. The exams are a mess and poorly worded. She often has trouble explaining concepts because she gets them confused in her own head! Do yourself a favor and take someone else for this class.
THE WORST TEACHER EVER. SHE CANNOT TEACH TO SAVE HER LIFE. SHE CRACKS USELESS JOKES AND WASTES OUR TIME. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER. HER TESTS ARE HORRIBLE. SHES JUST PATHETIC AND NEEDS TO STOP TEACHER. PEOPLE KEEP SAYING SHES GREAT AT PSYCH AND SHE MIGHT BE BUT SHE DEFINITELY SHOULDN'T TEACH MGMT.
Good teacher, boring topic. Information was presented logically and step by step. Go to class and the course is a breeze. From what I've heard about the old 276 teachers Delaney is 1000% percent better
She is by far the worst teacher I have had. This class was supposed to be a business statistics class, but she taught it as if it were a psych stats class. I did less than half the HW and in-class assignments, got A's on all the tests and got a B. This class is a joke and she is a joke of a teacher as far as MGMT 276 goes!!!
Very sweet teacher lady. Her first semester teaching 276 i believe and she did okay. Only thing was she didn't put our grades online ALL semester and will not respond to emails so you have no clue what your grade is. Also her study guides are useless. There is way too much information on them to study effectively. Overall, the class was simply ok.
I feel like I am in kindergarten when I walk into this class. It is pretty awesome. The class is really easy...almost a joke. About the same level or even easier than high school classes.
She's a pretty good teacher but there is so so so so so so so much homework. i spend more time doing her homework than attending her class. this is a problem.
best teacher i've had at UofA
Dr. Delaney is a great teacher who wants you to understand the material you are learning. She is extremely helpful in her office hours. The test are not very tricky if you go to class and do all of the homework.
She is an awsome teacher! Very clear and easy to understand. She was interested in is actually doing well and really cared! Very helpful during office hours! Best teacher I have had at the UofA yet!
Ok, her classes are boring and she is very unstructured, but all of her slides are online, and the HWs are pretty much free points along with the Writing Assignments and she even offers exta credit. Can be tought to sit through.
BEST TEACHER I HAD AT U OF A! ATTENDANCE ISNT NECESSARY BUT NOT TOO BAD OF A LECTURE TO SIT THROUGH.. GIVES POWERPOINT PRESENTATION AND EXPLAINS EACH SLIDE THOROUGHLY. SO NICE AND FRIENDLY AND EASY TO APPROACH- WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES OR SITUATIONS.. GREAT TEACHER!
Delaney is cool and nice. Her lectures are fun and her examples are interesting and entertaining, even engaging. She left teaching Structure, Mind, and Behavior but I don't know why. She was the best one. Fun class.
Straight forward teaching style. Great study guides help for tests and to learn what she wants you to know. Tests aren't tricky, but aren't too easy either. I thought it was a good class. It was in the Bio-East Lecture Hall and the desks were too small and seats too uncomfortable though, so be forewarned if you are in that room.
Very nice lady, always available for help during office hours. The class it self is very boring but she's really nice about helping you out and lets you turn in homework up until the final. Dont buy the text book, just borrow it from someone to do the homework. Study the slides and your good to go.
She is nice and tries to make lectures interesting but in reality they are very boring. Its an easy class but there is a lot of hw.
Really nice lady, boring class, fairly easy material. The tests are all multiple choice and she gives you any formulas needed. However, the tests can be more difficult than expected. She is more about teaching concepts and definitions than she calculations. Lots of homework, and little extra credit.
Awesome class, Delaney is extremely nice and helpful! The material is straight forward and the tests are easy if you study a decent amount!
she's enthusiastic and mostly entertaining. class is a joke: 4 incredibly easy midterms and no final. attendance is monitored, but its only a small sliver of your final grade.
She's really enthusiastic about teaching. Very nice and helpful. Lectures are boring. She makes you use your clicker in class. Material is straightforward, but tests are harder than you would expect. No final and barely any extra credit.
She is a really nice teacher and wants her students to understand the concepts....the tests aren't hard at all, especially if you just put in a little extra effort studying. Typically veryone is focusing on Blanchard class the same semester...so her class, which should be an easy A, appears harder to students than it really is.
Nicest teacher ever. She is so cute, but unfortunately the material is so so so boring, but she tries really hard to make it fun. Attendance points in class add up. Class out of fewer points so they all make a difference in the end. Tests are not hard if you put time into studying (if you dont pay attention in class).
She is a great teacher... but the class is PRETTY boring. I'll admit I slipped into a deep sleep every now and then. BUT she is the nicest lady EVER, and really cares about her students.
excellent
My favorite professor at the U of A. Professor Delaney is very nice and is very good at explaining material to where you can better understand it. She is always there to help you and make sure you don't fall behind. Would highly recommend professor Delaney. A+
Easy class, entertaining teacher
Great instructor. Her powerpoints and lectures are incredibly clear. The homework is inventive and allows creativity. Show up everyday so you don't miss your writing assignments which are usually free points.
One of my favorite teachers at U of A! There are incentives such as assignments and attendance points to go to class. If you don't get an A in her statistics class, you're doing something wrong.
Delaney is a great teacher because she constantly repeats all the major points. Very clear and easy to understand the material. The only negative I have, is every question someone asks in class is a great/awesome/perfect question, even if it's "What's 2+2?" Overall, great teacher, would recommend to anyone
Terrible professor. Very hard to stay focused and doesnt explain information clearly
Great teacher. Has knowledge and passion for the subject matter, which is good for a teacher. Also has a delightful sense of humor. One of the best.
Does a fantastic job of making a potentially boring subject interesting and easy to understand. Do the homework, show up to class, and you will do well. Tests are straightforward. Just cause math isn't your strong suit doesn't mean you can't do well in this course.
I loved this class. Delaney is so goofy and makes class entertaining, even if the subject is boring. The only downside is all the busy work with the homework. They're easy and she explains it the next day in class. The labs are extremely easy. I highly recommend this class!
Great teacher who really wants to help her students do well. She gives you all of the homework answers and the material is stuff that should seem pretty obvious. HW is good for learning as well as grade and if you do it all she bumps your grade up. Great experience overall
I was not looking forward to taking statistics before this course, but Delaney made it manageable. She wants students to exceed and she, as long with the TAs (at least my semester), are very helpful. Homework can be like busy work, but aides in understanding material. Tries to make class fun in random ways, definitely enjoyable!
Delaney was an enthusiastic professor who cared about her students' success. Highly Recommend
FAVORITE professor @ UA! The content was straightforward and she gives many opportunities to get points for assignments and extra credit. If you go to class and do the hw there is no reason why you should ever get anything less than an A. Delaney makes class extremely enjoyable and worth it to go! Also, she's very approachable!
This class will take very minimal time to succeed in. I gave very little effort and got a B in the class. Delaney is really awesome too. She makes class fun and is ALWAYS very extra willing to answer any questions during class and office hours. Definitely recommend.
The teacher is so sweet and explains everything nicely. None of the subject was too difficult. There is homework due every class, but she grades it based on completeness not if its correct. You MUST read the plous readings because she has questions in the exams about them. The only bad thing is that She takes attendance and you have assigned seats.
Delaney has been my favorite teacher so far! She is the coolest, nicest lady and has the best personality which keeps class interesting
Mrs. Delaney is awesome! She will crack jokes and show you videos to help better understand the material. She says reading is required, however only one question out of like 30 on the test actually asks you about a reading. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!!
This class may seem tough at first but very little math is involved and when it is she gives you the formulas, attendance is mandatory and hw is easy points, if you do it and turn it in you get full points regardless. Exams 1 & 2 were fairly diffucult but you can easily bring your grade to an A or B with exams 3 & 4 as they are much easier!
Really enthusiastic teacher not teaching an exciting subject. She does her best to keep things interesting, and is a really great teacher. Doing the homework will help you understand the material. Not too tough of a class if you pay attention and do the homework. Awesome teacher!
Delaney is a great teacher who cares about her students. However, this is a really boring class. Attendance is mandatory and you have assigned seats but all of the power points are online. There is homework every class but she usually goes over it before you turn it in. Tests arent that bad but they are cumulative. There are four tests and no final
ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSOR
She is kind of like a female Mr. Rogers. Super sweet and cheerful 24/7 kind of hard in the morning but still refreshing. The class is so easy it is almost funny. If you don't get at least a B maybe college isn't, for you. Seriously I didn't study once and aced every test
Speaks like we are 5, and always so happy. Makes you go to class by having daily writing assigments and homework. 4 Tests fro 100 points each. First test is pretty hard. Clikcer questions and assigned seats, which blows. She's very helpful ando are the TAs. Only way to take notes is on a notebook, no laptops. Good class but boringgggg.
She is absolutely a wonderful teacher! Seriously, the labs and hw are basically completion (100%). Her class is really easy, which I was worried about because I've never taken statistics. Attendance is recorded everyday, but it's worth it to show up because she's interesting. TAKE THIS CLASS FOR AN EASY A!
HORRIBLE! Stats intro Prof spent more time adding sounds to power points instead of relevant material needed to learn and pass class. Slow with email. Labs were a joke. Homework/Lab work wasn't handed back. TA Nick Thorne was terrible do not get into his lab group. Often misplaced homework & took an eternity adding grades. Also wasnt at all helpful
A lot of homework. Homework at least everyday. Class is mandatory and her tests are all cumulative. The tests given were pretty fair. Of al the STATS classes to take I would definitely recommend this one!
This class is absolutely terrible! I felt like I was being brainwashed every time sitting through her class. I did so many activities to keep myself entertained. You have to take this if your is business, but honestly I feel bad for the rest of you.
Super easy class, never paid attention and studied slides the day before the test and got As. Frequent homework, but easy and she goes over the answers before turning it in. Attendance is mandatory which kind of sucks since I did not find lecture to be useful. Delaney is also really nice and seems to genuinely care about the material presented.
HORRIBLE. The teacher is really nice, other than that, a horrible class. Lectures are super boring, attendance is mandatory. TA Nick Thorne was awful. He lost hw, didn't record grades properly & when you would e-mail him he would add grades randomly, even if you didn't turn that assignment in. Never replied to e-mails either. Labs are POINTLESS.
This class is not as easy as everyone makes it out to be if you've never seen stats before. Topics are challenging. Tests 1 and 2 are hard, 3 and 4 easy. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK- YOU WILL NOT USE IT. Save yourself the 180 bucks
So boring that you will never want to go to class and never pay attention. Homework is graded easily, tests need a few days to study for and are cumulative.
Dr. Delaney is a terrific teacher. If you go to class, take notes, and pay attention you won't have problems. Highly recommended for Mgmt 276.
This class was kind of weird. First two exams were hard. Even after studying notes, powerpoints, and the book, there would be questions that I had no idea what the answer was. Last two exams were a piece of cake. You'll end up with an A if you study and put in a decent amount of effort. Don't let the first two exams scare you off.
Enthusiastic, helpful, and fun teacher! Boring subject but she makes it interesting. Her assignments are easy and tests are easy if you make sure to understand everything in her study guides. Assigned seating sucks but it does help to improve focus and attendance. Don't buy the book. Anyone can get an A in this class!
Attendance is extra credit. She's actually really funny and will always let you out of class early. She's sweet too.
She is really nice but the labs were honestly the worst. All we did was input data in excel and were so boring. All the homeworks were annoying because they required you do it in excel and were not useful for the tests. Not very interesting.
Overall, a pretty dry class; however, Dr. Delaney is a very knowledgeable and caring professor. The tests are challenging but put some time and effort into them and you will do just fine. Don't buy the textbook, everything is online. The last two tests were easier than the first two
Delaney has a unique ability to keep students interested in the material. Content is super boring but relevant and applicable in any real-life setting. The first two tests were SLIGHTLY tougher than the last two but honestly I studied two days before and still got As. Go to class for attendance points and do the homework and you'll be golden :)
She's super nice, very willing to re-explain concepts, and very practical. She always makes sure you know WHY you're learning what you are. The class is super easy, don't expect math. It's sort of how statistics works, not why it works, very general. If you are an Econ major, take ECON339 instead because while she is great, you'll be unprepared.
I think people are being too hard on this class. Yes, it's boring and the labs are a joke, but Delaney genuinely enjoys teaching it and tries hard to make it interesting. She is the sweetest professor and was helpful when I went to office hours. The class doesn't require much math, but it is also not one you can entirely blow off if you want an A.
Worst teacher I have had at the U of A. Doesn't know how to teach the class, terrible at math and thats half of the class. Doesn't curve even though everyone is failing. Class isn't hard she is just a bad teacher.
Delaney is hands down the worst teacher I have had in college. She makes the study guides for tests 10+ pages long for a 40 question test so it is impossible to know what you will be tested on. Have to force myself not to fall asleep in class. Ridiculous amount of homework and reading. DO NOT take this class. Take it at Pima if you can.
Does not prepare students to her impossible exams. The materiel on the slides is way basic comparing to what you'll get on the test. This class is useless in real life because nothing is true 100%. they claim that its better to be approximately right than totally wrong but i say if you are not 100% sure that right then you are wrong no matter what.
tests are impossible.. class is extremely difficult. WOW
this class was extremely difficult. on top of that her lectures were death
EXAMS ARE VERY DIFFICULT. Boring lectures and she is not the best teacher so be warned.
if you can skip this class do it, you will not pass...
lectures are really long and she does not teach well. This is pretty basic info but she just fails to teach it well and instead just laughs in class all the time. I would really appreciate if another teacher taught this class because no one learned in this one.
ALL four tests are extremely difficult. lectures are very boring. homework is boring. lectures about same material then tests are all new material it makes no sense.
when the going gets tough.. bear down or in this class just fail. good luck kids
Tests will be tough.. if you pay attention in lecture you might get a C but this class will be very hard nonetheless. Do your homework and make sure you understand the material so you do not fail.
This class was extremely difficult. Lectures are so long and boring it's so hard to stay focused. A LOT of homework assignments.
she takes back her word many times and doesn't follow through which in the end hurts your grades as a student. she is not clear and repeats the same information over and over but in different ways to make it sound harder than it is. not a good teacher at all. should be fired. not even a business class. seems more like a psych class. she's not good.
Delaney's class was hands down my favorite class this semester. Lectures can be a bit on the boring side, but I guarantee that if you pay attention, do the assignments, and review the powerpoint lectures before each exam, you will receive an A. Exams are cumulative and the lessons go over past material so that the knowledge can be intuitive.
Dr. Delaney is a really great professor. Stats isn't that fun or interesting of a subject, but she's really enthusiastic about her teaching. Homework is due basically every class period, but it's nothing too difficult as long as you go to class and lab sessions. Similarly, tests are doable if you attend consistently and look at the study guide.
the class can be difficult if you do not study. but the info is actuall pretty clear cut. before the tests go through the homework and slides more than just one time youll do fine. first test didn't study got an F, studied the other ones got As. do the homework and jut go to class even though lectures suck.
Stats itself is a difficult concept to grasp but Delaney is amazing at teaching it. The content is tough but reviewing the lecture slides and reading the textbook on your own time will do wonders. On top of that she is more than willing to help during her office hours. An A is very much attainable.
She treated the class like we were five, her slides had animations and music on them, but overall not a bad teacher. You learn the material through her lectures as well as the homework. Go to the review thats offered. That's pretty much all I studied. I got an A without buying the book, but do the Plous reading and go to class for points.
This class was so easy and Delaney is so funny! She says going to class is mandatory but she admits that there is no punishment if you don't go. The material is extremely easy but you have to go to class or you won't pass the tests. Overall, go to class and you will get an A on every test. I promise!
Great teacher. Her lectures can be boring and you're in trouble if you miss more than a few but she will help you all day in office hours if you need it. She teaches a difficult subject but makes things easier to understand. I recommend her to anyone who asks!
TAKE THIS CLASS. The class is so easy. There is homework basically every night but the directions walk you through how to get the answers, and the next day in class she goes over the homework and gives you all the answers. Tests are seriously so easy if you pay attention, study a bit, and do the Plous Readings that she gives you online.
HW almost every class, but its easy. Tests are almost identical to review papers you do in lab. Study! Go to class if you want to understand material, you might miss something important otherwise. You get points for attending lab. Will have 1 or 2 q's from plous reading on tests. I was nervous because I hate math but this class is not bad.
Material is straight forward and she teaches it well. 4 exams, all multiple choice makes them simple. A few tricky questions here and there, but nothing to worry over. Lots of homework, but it doesn't take long to do. Textbook isn't really needed, never even opened it, she goes so thoroughly over every topic in class. Take if you can.
You will want to learn more after you take this class. Ms. Delahanty makes class very interesting and fun. Explains in a way that is easy to understand.
The material is not challenging, but she treats you like you're 5
Dr. Delaney was very informative and helpful. Everything is straight forward and she gives you the exact test questions before the test, just pay attention. She goes over every homework and gives you the answers. Usually one one question per test from the readings, so I never did them and passed with an easy A.
People didn't like how 'she treated us like children', but regardless of that, she was at least organized, super nice, and made lectures somewhat exciting. Homework every lecture, but SUPER easy and she goes over it in class usually. Tests are easy if you do the Just-For-Fun assignments she provides. Easy pass if you just do what she asks of you.
Professor Delaney is a good teacher and you can tell she really enjoys statistics so it makes lectures less boring. The material can be tough but if you do all the homework and show up to class/lab sections you should be fine. If you do bad on the tests but show up the majority of the time you should get a decent grade.
I absolutely adored Professor Delaney! Not only was she a relaxed, funny, approachable professor, but you actually learned what you needed without stress. Her lectures were always PowerPoint slides with cute animations and songs and they were not hard to follow. There is not a mean bone in her body! PLEASE take her of you have the chance!
It's only my first semester at the U of A but I can tell she's one of the best. Really funny with a passion to make concepts clear and for once, powerpoints were actually interesting. A bunch of homework, multiple pages every day but it's easy. Only knock on the class would be that there's assigned seats, but besides that I highly recommend her.
Yeah she treats us like we're 5 and gives assigned seats and her powerpoint animations are ridiculous, but she is genuinely nice and just trying to get everyone to learn the material. If you go to her office hours she will talk to you for hours long and try to help you as much as she can. Exams are easy! DON'T SKIP THE PLOUS READINGS!
For her SBS class literally so easy. Probably got like a 110%. TA's are very helpful.
Literally loved this class. She made the lectures so interesting and helpful. Everything was clear and she explained concepts until she felt confident that even the most lost person was caught up. She is a gem and so is this class. If you have to take stats, take this one! Easy A for sure.
She is not the clearest teacher. I got an A in this class, but it was difficult. Her tests are a little hard and very specific. The TA's are not helpful and this class can be difficult to understand. There are 3 tests and homework every week and she does not tell you what you got on the final.
Requires 110% effort. If you don't get it you won't get it unless you spend the time to learn it and it will most definitely be outside of lectures. Lectures and slides are confusing and are not great materials to review from.
Delaney makes much of the content understandable and easy. However the test are basically the whole class grade and none of them get dropped. No final. Homework and lab projects are easy points are you have to do in lab is show up. She is really bad at responding to emails so just go to her office if you need something. 10 points extra credit
There is a lot of homework and in class assignments but you could literally write anything on them and still get credit for them. But for your overall grade they dont even count for much. Her lectures aren't very helpful because she spends more time talking about the slide animations than the actual material. Very nice lady though lol
Delaney is a great teacher, sometimes her powerpoints can be a little unorganized but overall she tries to make each lecture as painless as possible. There is homework for pretty much each class period but its not hard just tedious. Overall the first test is the hardest. There are assigned seats in this class which is weird but she's really nice!
Dr. Delaney was a great professor, she really cares about her students succeeding in her class and she offers extra credit opportunities for those who are struggling. Overall super easy A, all you have to do is show up to lecture and take notes.
Suzanne really cares about her students and offers extra credit. MGMT 330 is nothing but memorizing key terms so there really isn't much to it than that. Her exams are straight from the book/modules. With that being said, they are heavy. She does curve and offer extra credit. If you are having trouble, she will be more than happy to assist you.
She gives homework everyday but you will begin to notice that the TA's only look for if you did the homework or not rather than if you did it correctly. She gives you the textbook though a URL to a website she made and if you just change the year in the URL you can get the answers from the year before. Listen in lecture and you will get an A
She is awesome!
Delaney is such a sweetheart. This is my first class with her (SBS 200) and although I find this material extremely boring, Delaney makes it so easy to learn. I wish I could take more classes from her! Her way of grading is very easy, if you just make sure you're doing everything. Take her classes!!
The textbook is rarely used, and she speaks fast. Don't worry! She knows exactly hat she is doing. She will continually repeat the important things and it will be drilled in by the time you leave, that's why being there is huge. She goes over the homework before you turn it in. It's all about respect with. Be nice to her and she will help!
Delaney is the best professor I have ever had at UA. Her lectures are pretty entertaining and she makes stats fun! She answers any questions you have in class. Lots of homework but its extremely easy if you pay attention in class. EASY A+ IF YOU GO TO CLASS!! You receive study guides for tests in lab. Exams are 25 questions multiple choice, easy!
Got a 79%, only because I lost my homework and the tests are based on that. She didn't post any keys for the HW, and about 20% of every test is from HW's that she doesn't have answers for. Lectures are boring af. MY ONLY C AT THE UNIVERSITY!
You definitely get back what you put into it... but the extra effort is SO worth it. Delaney is a STATS rock star. I am so glad I dropped my course at Pima and opted for this one. Excellent instruction, and one of the few courses where you feel you got MUCH MORE than you paid for!
Professor Delaney is one of my favorite teachers. She tries to keep lectures fun, and really knows her material! Very sweet lady who cares about your success.
Her lectures are so boring but the overall class isn't too bad. Tests are worth 20% each so definitely study! She does clicker attendance every class and also does in class writing assignments often. If you study you'll do just fine. She gives you the answers to almost all homework and accepts late work the entire semester.
Statistics is a hard/boring class but Dr. Delaney makes it as painless as possible. She has funny animations on her slides and tries her best to make sure that her students understand before moving on to other material. If you have to take stats , take it with Dr. Delaney.
She was a great professor. The class is easy if you show up and pay attention. There are group projects that apply to concepts you learn but are very easily graded. Need a clicker for this course.
She is the best math teacher I have ever had. There is a decent amount of homework but it is so straightforward and very easy to do. The information can become dull at times but she has a bubbly personality that keeps the class energy high the entire time. Excellent course if it is required. No other professor has prepared me for their tests more.
Great Teacher!! Lecture heavy, but if you show up and try you will get an A!!
Annoyingly strict on attendance and in class participation(15% of grade). This wouldn't be a problem if she was a better and more engaging teacher. It was easy to miss class and earn A's on the exams. Offers little to no extra credit.
Delaney is an awesome professor -- you can tell she really cares about statistics and wants everyone to understand! The class is simple and the assignments are easy to grasp.
Hands down the nicest & most caring professor at the UofA. Not like other prof. who simply tell you to talk to the TA if you have a question. She truly cares about the success of her students & will provide all of the help and feedback she possibly can. Great personality, always happy & extremely lenient with assignments. Hw is not difficult at all
She made stats super easy! There's a lot of work but it's all really easy. Delaney is super sweet and genuinely cares about making you succeed and understand stats. Take this class!
Delaney is a fantastic professor! Funny and engaging. She posts every lecture on d2l after class, unlike most professors. The homework is easy and genuinely helps you understand the material. The tests are also easy and consistently have repeat questions from previous tests and from the review problems given during lectures. TAKE THIS CLASS!!
BEST stats class i've ever taken
Such a great teacher. Very knowledgeable and did not use the text books much except for a homework grade at the end of the semester.
SBS 200 is not difficult if you put in the work. There is a lot of homework, and tests are cumulative, but they are not impossible. Suzanne is incredibly engaging, passionate about the subject material, and will do anything to help you. Unlike most large lectures, she answers any and all questions during lecture. Confusing at times but very sweet.
Makes a boring subject very easy to follow and understand if you follow her lectures. Very engaging teacher and one of the professors who makes a big lecture class a lot more bearable. Clicker attendance every class, with a little extra credit offered near the end of the semester. Hand written homework assignments fairly often that is helpful.
Took BNAD 276, wouldn't let me choose it. Makes a boring subject very easy to follow and understand if you follow her lectures. Very engaging teacher and one of the professors who makes a big lecture class a lot more bearable. Clicker attendance every class. Hand written homework assignments fairly often that is helpful.
I really enjoyed her BNAD 276 course. Her lectures are very easy to follow and you will learn a lot in class. Some homework assignments can be a little tedious but they are helpful. If you just do what you're supposed to, you should get an A with no problem
I really enjoyed Dr. Delaney's course. It was by no means the easiest, but I did learn a lot. She really cares about the subject matter, and tries to present ideas in a way that everyone can understand. She can get somewhat repetitive, but that's because she really wants to make sure you understand the material.
Suzanne Delaney is amazing. She really cares about her students and makes herself available. 75% of the final grade is based on Exams, so use her exam prep materials, which are spot on, and you will do well. She also has great lectures, the book is so hard to read, so I just used her lectures. They make complex material simple, the book sucked.
She's an amazing professor who really wants to help her students succeed. She's incredibly understanding if you have to miss class or a test, but most definitely don't make a habit of it. Going to lectures for her class is pretty important, as she takes attendance and gives quizzes (they're easy and you go over them together). A really good class.
lots of homework and long lectures but she is a nice professor and teaches well
Delaney is adorable and a great professor. There are many hw assignments but if you stay on top of them it will be easy! I got an A, while my test average was a B. TAs are awesome and lectures are entertaining.
She's really nice but her lectures were so long and repetitive. I could've just read the lecture slides and understood everything in less than half the time but she took attendance. Easy homework due each class and tests were multiple choice and reasonable, we even practiced questions with her in class before the test date.
Delaney is the sweetest professor I have had in my three years at U of A. She explains topics maybe too in depth but tries hard to help students. Does go off on tangents, but has a lot of experience in the area. Tests are based mainly on lecture, but she offers a large amount of exam reviews! Some homework but for sure do able.
While I had trouble learning math in such a large lecture environment, Delaney gives you a lot of resources to learn the material if you're struggling. Tests are easy and projects are as well. There is a lot of homework that takes a lot of time but that's pretty much the only bad part about this class.
This class is very lecture heavy and sometimes a little confusing but Delaney makes the entire class seem easier. She has a lot of assignments both in class and out but they're always a very flexible due date and pretty easy, just for a better understanding.
Delaney is good professor, but there is a lot of work in this class. It is more busy work than anything. Her lectures are really funny!!!!
Go the the lectures and do the homework and you'll be fine. She tries hard to make her lectures interesting! You don't even need to fully pay attention. Go to your labs and put effort into the projects and you'll get at least a high B. Show up and listen to what you are learning, and you will be totally fine!
Gives homework but is very lenient on due dates. Very quirky professor and super funny. Interesting lectures. Would due for Suzanne Delaney.
Delaney was a fun and spunky prof, lab projects are super easy and the TAs help a lot if you don't know how to do something, Delaney always sticks to her word and doesn't try to trick you on tests. homework is heavy in the beginning but it slows down and it is very useful to understand the material. not bad for a 10 am class
One of the best at the University. Statistics can be confusing for many people. It feels as if she was born to teach. Makes everything so easy if you just pay attention and listen. I didn't even have to take notes thanks to her teaching style.
Amazing teacher that truly cares about having all of the students understand the content. She creates fun energetic lectures that help keep the class engaged while learning the topic. Tests are straight forward and easy as long as you show up and at least half listen to lecture.
Delaney is amazing. She is super sweet if you don't understand something and have questions on it. Attendance is mandatory, but it's worth it. There are a ton of homeworks, projects, and "pop quizzes", and even though they are not really due when she says they are, they are very helpful if math doesn't come easily to you like it doesn't for me.
Delaney is truly an amazing teacher!! she makes everything super easy to understand, especially for a math class. there are no surprises when it comes to homework or tests, super straightforward and pretty easy. It's definitely an easy A if you do all the homework which doesn't even have due dates. highly highly highly suggest her for sbs200.
Professor Delaney was prob one of my favorite professors so far. There are in class writing assignments that make it harder to skip class, but she drops 3 of them. She lets you turn in homework whenever you want for full credit too. the projects are easy A's and grade boosters. Use the clicker questions at the end of powerpoint to study for tests!
Didn't engage with students.
She was a great teacher. She is more concept-based and doesn't make you learn how to do the math for everything which makes focusing on the actual material much easier. She is such a sweet lady, I can't emphasize enough. Also extremely understanding of any problems or struggles you have with the material. I recommend strongly!!!
If you are taking BNAD 276 take Brent Marinan's class. His class has way more extra credit opportunities, fewer tests, way less homework, and you take your tests online. If you take BNAD 276 through this professor be prepared to do way more work than your peers will.
Professor Delaney was very enjoyable and knowledgeable, easy to understand, and really cares about teaching her students things that we will use in the outside world. Also attendance is important, but you could also just do the outside readings and homework and still be caught up and pass the course with a decent grade.
Delaney cares a lot of teaching Stats. She's really nice/funny, but I myself just could not grasp several concepts. I'd suggest not skipping class. My TA Flo was great, lab projects pretty easy, and literally any HW can be turned in on like the last day. 4 exams total (last is the "final") and easy EC options. Pay attention to what she emphasizes!!
She's a good teacher. She tends to get a little scattered sometimes but at least I learned something in her class. She's awful at replying to emails so beware. I think Professors should always reply to emails since students pay a lot of money for courses. That's the one bad thing about her. Other than that she's very nice and always willing to help
Doesn't provide with good study guides, uses very heavy terms which are not even required. teaches as if each student is a pro at stats.
Easy A class. Show up to class and labs, and do the work. As long as the group lab projects are completed you get 100%. There are 4 tests which are 80% of your grade. She doesn't allow cell phones or laptops, all notes are hand written and there are assigned seats. Has "pop quizzes" but gives you the answers before turning them in.
Don't take her class. Period. It's so fast. Waste of time, don't learn anything. They expect you to understand everything in 2 seconds. So many quizzes that are rushed.
Overall, I enjoyed SBS 200 with Delaney. She is very sweet and approachable. She always double-checks to make sure students are understanding and makes it clear what will be on exams. My only complaint is that her lectures can be dry and monotonous which makes it hard to stay engaged especially over Zoom. There is not much work outside of class.
I took 276 with Marinan but they split the class between the two of them for the first and second half of the semester. Delaney gives hard pop quizzes with no time to do them. No extra credit at all. Not that good of a teacher. If possible take with Marinan. He is a far better teacher who is a lot more precise with his speech and a better prof.
Professor Delaney always has a positive attitude and is very enthusiastic about teaching. During class, she makes sure everyone understands the content and is open to questions at any time. Her lab sessions are held by TAs, and is an easy A if you show up. Overall, great class
Attendance isn't mandatory but you miss pop quizzes if you skip. Lovely instructor but the information can be confusing especially online when its difficult to pay attention. She is very sweet, a bit funny, and kind enough to help when needed. Would take again but in person.
Her class was an easy A as long as you understood the material presented. She cares about her students and is always willing to help them outside of class. I recommend taking her to everyone!
One of the nicest professors I've ever had. Lectures are really laid back, environment is really nice, but you still learn things and are given resources to learn on your own if need be. Very open to helping you at office hours, as long as you are willing to cooperate and put in the tiniest bit of effort, you will succeed.
took this class online. the lab was AMAZING (I had Nora). class not so much. your grade comes from your exams- don't fail those (easier said than done). the class can be confusing during live zoom classes. this class requires a lot of commitment.
She is a really good professor. She makes learning really fun and easy. She is also pretty funny. Exams were also open notes so the class was supper easy.
Four exams that are collectively worth 80% of your grade. If you took math107, you can probably get away with just attending the review sessions and taking notes before each exam. Besides that, you don't have to bother doing anything else except the lab projects that are worth 12% of your grade. Homework is pointless unless you need extra help.
Prof Delaney shouldn't be teaching this class. So hard to understand her recorded lectures since she is not a good public speaker, very hard to listen to her while doing the lectures. Contrary to Fall/Spring term, the summer term (5-week specifically) it is closed note and all 3 exams are 75% of your grade.
I don't know if it is up to the professors that teach BNAD 276 but the program they use is absolutely horrible. It's clear that she doesn't have any public speaking skills and her voice over of lectures is a pain to listen to. Do NOT take this class online, it will discourage you from learning from her. You're honestly better off reading the book.
This teacher is ungodly annoying. Not only does the voice of this professor get extremely irritating, this class makes me wanna absolutely die. The way she walks up and down the aisles to "check" on you with uncomfortable staring, I cannot say I've met a professor like this. Super energetic, but an annoying kind that makes the class period so long.
This class is supposed to be really easy. However, the Prof is just making things harder. She really is caring and tries her best but she just goes too fast and to be honest she is not really good at getting to the point. Everything will seem very blurry in class but her homeworks really help for studying. Gives second chances. Easy tests.
Nice lecture voice. May of been trying out some new teaching styles on the class. Delaneys lectures were cartoonish and colorful; took me out of the daily suberban grit. Were talking sun and moon here, delaney is like the moon, thats a good thing.
Professor Delaney is a psychology professor teaching business statistics. Her lectures have not had any content related to business and our based on simple statistic principles. The tests feel like they were made for elementary kids. Should be your easiest A before heading to Eller.
Nicest instructor I have ever had. I took this course over zoom but she makes sure that her students understand the material and is very patient. She lets the class know that its okay to interrupt her if we are confused. She is very helpful and class is super easy.
Wasn't too good at teaching. She went through her slides really fast but she uploads every single one onto D2L so you could download it and go over it at your own pace. I did this after every lesson and got an A on every exams. Exams were super easy. The people who say it's hard were probably the ones not giving two craps about the class.
Dr. Delaney is fine. She seems a little bit out of her element teaching a business stats class. Nothing in class was business related in the slightest, and I have not clue what differentiates this from a regular stats class. I phoned it in the entire time. Dr. Delaney sometimes said some comments during her lecture that rubbed me the wrong way.
I was anxious about taking this class, but professor Delaney made it great! Sometimes the class structure was confusing, but for the most part it was well-organized. Pay attention to what she says regarding due dates and you'll be just fine! The exams aren't too bad and they're open-note. She is very friendly and willing to help her students.
Delaney is an easy teacher as long as you go to class and do the labs. She give you everything you need to succeed and the material isn't too difficult. Overall easy class
Delaney was an extremely hard professor. Unfortunately, she did not make an already hard subject any less confusing or easy to grasp. She seemed like a very nice person, but she just could not dumb down the material at all. Also, her exams were killer!!
Queen. Love Dr. Delaney. She is the sweetest, most wholesome person ever. I took the live online SBS 200 class and it was very easy. If you do not understand something, just ask her and she will make sure you understand before moving on. Seriously such an easy course and a great prof!
I recommend trying profusely to avoid taking Dr. Delaney's class. Exams are worth 80% of your final grade so you are essentially set up to fail. She is an extremely frustrating teacher to work with, never responding to emails and requiring masks to be worn in class when they are not required by the university.
This professor does not do a great job of explaining the material and the course work is very hard. No matter if you are good at math or not, the certain terms we are tested on and the format of the exams make it difficult to do well.
She's a pretty fun teacher! She makes statistics a lot easier to learn and understand, the tests are pretty straight forward too. Only one catch though, exams are worth about 80% of the final grade! The exams are also cumulative, so your final is the fourth exam of the semester. Other than that the course is honestly really easy.
Dr. Delaney made her class incredibly easy with her teaching style. Having never taken statistics before, I was concerned about the difficulty of the class, but Dr. Delaney made the material easily understandable. If you attend class, take notes, complete the homework, and participate in the paired discussion period, you can succeed in this class.
The professor is very sweet and professional but personally I did not like at all how she taught her course. I struggled a lot with the material; 80% of your overall grade is based on 4 exams (25 questions) and the rest is homeworks, quizzes and projects (There are a lot of them and I personally think its unfair that they are worth very little).
I had never taken a stats class before and was a bit unsure of how it would be, but professor Delaney was great! There are 4 exams that are 25 questions each but you spend about two days reviewing in class before the exam. the labs are easy and they are explained thoroughly during lectures and the lab. Lots of in-class quizzes.
Dr. Delaney was super sweet & fun. The material was very easy to understand & she provides us a bunch of resources. The class is test heavy, but they are easy if you do the study guides/ extra problems on slides. There is a lot of in class quizzes , but she allows you to make them up.
Professor Delaney was one of the sweetest professors I've had. The material can be hard to understand but she goes through everything very thoroughly. The exams are pretty much your entire grade but she makes them very straight forward and we review in class for the two days before. Would recommend this class.
Love this professor! She is super sweet and loving! She tries to make lectures as easy and interesting as possible. there are a lot of engaging lectures and provides a lot of reviews. the only homework you'll have are the lab projects, one per week or per two weeks, and sub homework. she does in class quizzes but she ends up going over the answers.
Dr. Delaney is super sweet and cares about her students! She takes the time to make sure you really understand the material. Most of your grade comes from 4 exams, and there are quite a few homeworks too (which she is very lenient with the due date!). Some in-class assignments too that you can make up if missed. Overall, a fantastic professor!
If you can take any other professor for this class, do it. There's nothing wrong with Professor Delaney, the issue is her class structure. There will be four exams that are 90% of your grade, the other 10% accumulated through lab work as well as in-class quizzes. Do yourself a favor and take literally any other professor.
TAKE ANY OTHER PROFESSOR!! four exams are 90% of your grade and the labs are extremely difficult. Some of the assignments you have to work with group members who are incompetent so you end up doing all the work. She is a great person but her class structure is awful. take any other professor. She also takes upwards of 3-4 weeks to submit grades
As a senior, this is my first time having to put a review for the sake of other students' academic careers, aspirations, and grades and that says a lot. Take any other professor if you can like the other reviews say. It's almost as if she takes pride in failing students. class is ridiculously structured where your grade only relies on the exams.
Dr. Delaney is a very nice lady but not a great professor. The structure of her class is just awful, all tests were on Friday's at 9am and they were worth 80% of our grade. She is not the best explainer and often makes topics confusing. Tests were in-person online and it still took her over a week to release scores. Do not recommend.
She strives for every student to succeed and is very understanding!
She's actually the cutest ever!!! Her lectures are entertaining, and she's such a sweetheart that it makes it really easy to ask questions. While attendance wasn't mandatory because it was a huge lecture hall, she does a ton of in class mini quizzes so just make sure you have a friend in the class to let you know when those happen!
Ms. Delaney is one of the cutest professors ever. Although I had taken a statistics class previously, her lectures were relatively easy to understand, and she uses fun examples to help you really get the point. I had a lecture hall, so while she didn't exactly take attendance, there were often "in class quizzes" that prob can't be done at home.
Dr. Delaney was a very nice and caring professor and taught the content of the class if you actually went to the class. The class is weighted very heavy on the 4 exams through the semester, but she gives you many resources to do well on the exams.
Dr. Suzanne Delaney is a very good and kind professor. Her lectures are amazing. Even though I found this course tough, I understood one important thing: as long as you do everything on time, follow the professor's recommendations and prepare well and hard for exams, you should be fine.
Prof. Delaney had good lectures and was good at presenting the material in an understanding manner. If you attend class and turn things in on time you will do well. If you have any questions either ask in class or via email, she is willing to help you get the best grade possible.
This is not a hard class, the material is pretty easy. The one reason I would never want to take this course agin is because it is so test heavy that all the other work such as attending class, homework, and weekly projects barley matter. 4 tests with 25 questions each are worth 400 points out of the 500 points total for the class.
She is an amazing professor that does care about her students' success, but if exams aren't your thing do not take this class, 4 exams are worth 80% of your grade. The online version is an easy A compared to the in-person one.
Prof D is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. The course content is easy enough, but 80% of your grade comes from exams (she provides good study guides) so make sure to prep for that. Other than that it's a lot of homework and in class quizzes but it's easy enough to manage. Cannot recommend Prof D enough though.
Dr. Delaney is the sweetest person... I love her slides and her energy SO much. Honestly, even though this course is test heavy, it totally makes sense given the content you learn. She has really helpful homework modules, the lab directly supports lecture, and overall I found the course to be really light. Could not recommend enough.
Focuses on keeping students quiet majority of the class. Has multiple pop quizzes a week to make sure students come to class 3x a week. There are 5 different projects you have to complete plus 4 exams and a bunch of homework. Its a confusing course and she does not do a good job explaining it and making the topics clear.
Wonderful professor as she makes sure that her students succeed. There are four exams that are pretty easy if you study and practice. Id recommend taking MATH 107 before this because it makes this class SO much easier as they're both the same class. Do not stress about it a lot. There is so much space to do well and succeed in that course.
Class is mandatory. Be sure to attend because there are weekly quizzes, but she gives the answers at the end of the class (very easy). She is a super kind and considerate professor, really wants every student to succeed. Is an extremely nice grader, has homework where you can't fail. Labs are annoying but should go because projects are worth a lot.
She does not follow the syllabus. Exam dates are lieu to change without notice, and homework is assigned randomly throughout the week(including the weekend!) without notice. Her communication with her students is very poor. Luckily the course work is relatively easy.
Don't do it. Tests are grades so heavily is stats, I know 4 people who got all A's except in this SBS 200.
Prof Delaney is really nice and does a good job explaining statistics. Yes, attendance is annoying because you can't miss very many classes, but I get why it's necessary - you definitely could fall behind quickly if you miss a lot of lectures, haha.
Amazing professor! I had no issues with her, there are 3 group projects during lab and random homework though. It is test heavy but you should have no problems as long as you study and use the study guides. I found her practice questions posted from the lectures very helpful when it came to the exam. JUST STUDY FOR EXAMS to pass.
Professor Delaney always pays attention to detail to the benefit of her students, whether that be her fun gifs on her slides or her post-test analyses. Dr. Delaney cares about the class' success, is always open to taking questions, and clearly likes what she does. This course's grades favor projects and exams heavily.
Professor Delaney is fair but strict. Lots of exams, projects, and quizzes, but she provides helpful study resources like practice questions. unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for exam prep. Overall, a challenging yet rewarding course.
While she isn't a bad professor, 80% of your final grade is based on exams. The material is confusing and if you don't understand the basics then you will struggle to understand the rest of what you learn. I was studying before every exam and still didn't do well. The material is very complex and can get very confusing very fast.
This professor was so sweet and the class overall was super easy. As long as you do the projects and show up to class you should do good!
Professor Delaney is better suited to teach a high school class, or just retire from teaching all together. She is a demeaning, rude, and bumbling idiot. Half the class is busy work that she'll spend hours explaining, and then speed through the important concepts. DO NOT take her class, your mental health will thank you later.
Her lectures were well taught and knew exactly what she wanted to teach. The class is huge, so it's pretty hard to ask questions directly to her. You have a lab once a week in which you participate in group projects and can get help from the TA's who run the class. Tests are 80% of your grade, so you need to excel if you want an A.
Great professor. Easy Class. There are quizzes in almost every lecture; however, most are 10 questions, and she will give answers if asked. There are 4 exams (NO FINAL) and 5 projects. Projects are superrrrr easy because of how detailed the rubric is. Exams are okay, as long as you pay attention in lecture you will be fine.
Grade depends on basically on a few major tests. You will need to study for material as it is harder than a basic statistics class in my opinion.
She was very kind, her exams are easy when you do the study slides that she and I had a great time because she wanted exeyone to pass
Genuinely the nicest professor I've had. She wants everyone to pass. There is a password-protected quiz after almost every lecture, so attendance matters. Your grade is based on 4 exams (no final) and a few projects, but the tests are worth a lot, so STUDY! If you show up and pay attention, do the homework, you should be okay. It is hard, though.
The class wasn't too bad. Considering I took this at 9am I found it very difficult to retain information, and often enough needed to teach myself the content. Four exams, worth 40% of your grade, don't drop any. The exams are 25 questions and are CUMULATIVE of all concepts covered so far in the course, so beware of that. STAY CONSISTENT STUDYING.
Dr. Delaney is seriously amazing for SBS200. She makes the concepts click (even though they're pretty easy) and she's not boring. She is also super understanding and down to earth. #loveher
she is the cutest thing ever and genuinely gives you the easiest homework and tells you exactly how to do the labs. she is very easy to reach outside of class. her tests are exactly what she teaches in class and does not trick ppl
Professor Delaney was the best! She cares for every single student, and always makes sure everyone is doing okay during lecture. The homework and study guides are super helpful for the exam and she has lots of resources for help. This course was great because of Professor Delaney, she's amazing.
Delaney was an amazing professor to have, she truly cared about her students and wanted them to do well in this course. Although the exams do make or break your grade in the class, her study guides and practice questions she made really helped! She says what will be on the test word for word.
Such a great prof!! Cares about her students so much take her class
