Great teacher. Lectures from the book. Hard tests so studying is a must. Very fair with grading. Kind of long winded. Expect to stay the entire class time (and beyond).
She is an AMAZING professor. The best I have ever had. She is willing to help you if you don't understand. Her lectures are so interesting and you will not want to miss a day. She is so nice, too. Her tests tend to be challenging, but if you read and come to class you should not have any problems. You have to take her for at least one class.
I have taken her for 203 and 321 and have enjoyed both classes. You will have to take notes and attend class, so if that's a problem don't sign up for her. She does use the WHOLE class period, but that isn't always a bad thing because you get your money's worth. I would recommend her for any class!
S.Morrow (not J.Morrow) doesn't make developmental psyc interesting at all. She knows this from her own evals given out. Little bookwork, but a LOT of papers due, and PSYC research credits also needed for the class (on campus and off). Too much work for a 200 level course IMHO. Let her know early if you have problems with her papers topics.
Nice person. you can tell she means well but I had a few problems w/ her lectures. For one she made statements that I KNOW are wrong from having taken other upper level courses. Also, she seems pretty much stuck in a white middle class traditional mindset. Other than that pretty easy class and she is as I said a very nice person. 2 papers & 3 tests
She is really strict about her late policy. Even if it is only 10 minutes late, she won't accept it. Her class consists of 3 exams throughout the whole semester and she only gives 10 points of available extra credit. Homework in her class is easy but time consuming. We had to write 2 extremely detailed papers/experiments with data. Her tests are ba
Her tests are extremely hard. Since there are only three tests for the semester, there is a lot of material covered on each test. You must read the book and know the material. She is also very long-winded. You will not get out of class earl...EVER!!!
She is a great professor. If you don't understand something she is going to help. 4 tests (includes final) and have 2 papers but she offers 25 extra credit points. Very strict on her late policies but its ok if you turn the assignment in on time. Has class dicussions and class activities. Learned alot from being in her class!
Good professor! The class is not easy, but it is do able. Be sure to study and read the book. She has in-class activities so attendance is a must. Overall, good professor and nice to all.
morrow is a stickler for rules and has alot of biases. not too much room for creative thought, new ideas, or controversy. also she repeats herself too many times, which becomes tedious and boring, like her lectures are for people who don't know how to take notes or don't read the text or study...very remedial for an upper level class.
Excellent professor. Provides everything you need to do well in the class. Makes subject matter interesting and informative. Highly recommended.
Good professor, her explanations are clear but her tests are very hard. I implore you to study well for every test you take...if you don't, good luck passing. But if you do, you should do alright with a bit of practice. She's really nice though, and she seems to enjoy teaching, which is always good. Just...study for those tests.
best professor i have EVER had. makes me love my major even more. take very good notes! no need to buy the book. pay attention in class and do learning objectives. challenging class but fair. if u attend class or read you will do well.
Extremely nice person, very friendly in lectures. Test are not hard if you study the learning objectives. Attendance is not mandatory but if you come and pay attention you will do fine.
Her tests are impossible.
I loved Mrs Morrow! I don't know what everyone is talking about with her tests being impossible. I'm usually a horrible test taker and I managed to get B's on almost all of her tests. Go to class, take notes, and when studying with her studyguide look up the answers in both your notes and book and you'll be fine! I'd def take another class of hers!
I had Mrs. Morrow for psychology of adolesence and I have got to say that the class is easy but the test are extremly hard. You have to study a lot but she is always avaliable to help you. She has 4 test 2 essays 25points for extra credit and you must come to class if u want the in class activity points.she is a good teacher n I would take her agai
Love Her, She's great. I can tell that she loves what she does.
Very good teacher. Really covers the material well in class and is very understandable. She loves what she does. Her tests are hard, but if you go to class and take good notes as well as read, you'll do fine. I've learned the most in this class than any of my others.
I don't know why people like her, shes biased, boring and just loves to talk about herself! Its like she has built her entire lecture around a few lame stories she likes to tell about her family and friends. I dreded coming to class. The class is too easy and the tests are impossible. I wouldn't recomend her.
This class is easy. Attendance is not mandatory, but it will help to come b/c there r in class activities which counts as a grade. The exams are so easy, study the learning objectives and do the practice test, b/c the question is going to be on the exam. Not all of them, but some of them. Her stories are interesting and she give out ex.credit.
She is a great professor. Worth getting up 8am for. She explains everything with detail and with life examples. Take her! I think shes the only one that teaches this class, though. She gives extra credit and learning objectives for the tests and the papers are not that hard. Go to class!
Not an easy class, and Prof. Morrow will tell you that the tests are difficult. But don't let that throw you off, she is a very good teacher, and clearly loves what she does. Very helpful, clear, and offers extra credit opportunities. You'll work hard, but you'll still enjoy the class and learn a lot.
An excellent teacher.
She is absolutely AMAZING! Her tests are difficult but not horrible. If you study & pay attention in class theyre a breeze. She loves her subject & you can tell. Theres 4 tests including final 2 papers 4 research pts & extra credit. Shes the reason Im a psych minor now! Her lecture gives you everything. She has lots of anecdotes. Expect to stay tho
I took her 201 class, shes a great teacher, but its a HARD class. Its a gen class, its supposed to be easy. My girlfriend takes this same class with another teacher and has an A..and she knows maybe 1/3 of the information i kno, and i have a C. ITS A HARD CLASS.
By far my favorite professor ever. This class is no where near easy. It requires a lot of effort and dedication and studying to get a good grade. She's great though. I'd definitly take another class with her again if I could!
She prides herself on her hard test. NOT AN EASY CLASS. Attendence is not mand. but she does in class activities through out the year and if your not in class then you are penalized.
I would not recommend this class if you care about your GPA. I believe that she cares, but her tests are beyond impossible. She had to work hard, therefore you will have to work hard, is what she said, oh by the way, it is an undergrad course! Application style tests that have three right answers, you have to guess which one.
I would not recommend taking this professor for ANYTHING if you care about your GPA. As far as hotness, this is college-whatever. She prides herself on giving the most difficult exams on campus..and on that I would agree with her. She gives you study guide, then purposely puts questions on the exams that were NOT on the study guide Stay away!!
She is very type A. Her assignments are ridiculously tedious, and tests require more studying than you will ever do for any psyc course (I'm taking a 300 and 400 level psyc now). All the work woulda been fine if I'd felt I had learned anything, but the info for the course is pretty useless. :/ Don't take it. If you take it anyway, DO STUDY GROUPS.
I am currently taking Morrow's class and think she is a very helpful professor and it is generally a very interesting class, however, her tests are ridiculous. no matter how hard you study and prepare you'll never be satisfied with your grade. i'm a great test taker and a good student and cannot manage to get higher than a C on any of her tests.
This is the first class I ever got a C in! I always had A's, maybe B's. Her lectures are good, but her tests do not compare to them and the work she assigns is tedious. The assignment format is very anal and because of it I got a low grade on the assignment and she only lets you do 2/4 of them, not the highest graded 2. So the low grade stuck.
I am currently taking Mrs. Morrow's class and I believe she is a great teacher. She is truly interested in what she teaches and she makes it interesting!! Everyone says she is a difficult teacher, I believe it's because they're looking for an easy, don't have to study class. Grow up people, this is not high school anymore. Take good notes/study
this class was definately my favorite class this semester. she gave study guides that matched the exact questions from the tests. always willing to help. very nice. got an A in this class without having to struggle. very good teacher in my opinion. loved the little in class activities. she was very personable
I've had her for 3 semesters now! Her tests are super hard! Do the LEARNING OBJECTIVES IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE TESTS! But She is soooo helpful and will answer all of your questions! I recommend taking her if psyc is your major but if you just want a easy A run from her...she will put you too work!
Tests are designed to make you fail..point blank
Professor Morrow is a very nice lady, she's very helpful during class and during her office hours. If you do your Learning Objectives, you should do well on the test. THEY ARE VERY HARD ! Attend all lecture and you'll do well in her class. STUDY and you'll do well.
Knows her stuff and gives plenty of examples but tests are IMPOSSIBLE. You feel like you know the material until she starts picking out tiny details from the chapter readings which become impossible to remember since there are about 4 chapters on each tests. If you are looking for an A, chose a different professor.
She was a VERY good teacher! She made me excited about psych, more than I already was. Beware of cheating/collaborating... she WILL catch you. I don't know how but she will. We covered a lot of information in class that was not on the tests. The tests are HARD. The questions are tricky and and you have to think about them before answering. TAKE IT!
I took her class online. Her tests ARE impossible, study the learning objectives and you will be fine. I ended up with a 89 in her class.Just one point away from an A-. That's the part that sucks, she sticks to her rules, will not "give" you an extra point.Challenging class but you learn the stuff very well.Don't take her if you are looking for an A.
This class material was interesting but the test arent common sense, use the given Learning Obj as a resource. Attendence isnt mandatory, yet class activites are a portion of your grade that cant be made up your either in class or you arent. overall i like this class the test were just difficult.
Online class. AWESOME. the tests are obviously open book and notes. She says the tests are hard and the averages were low but I always got B's or higher, i mean its OPEN notes. and she always adds like 10 points extra credit. weekly participation activities that take like 10 minutes. 2 papers but she gives you super clear instruction.
Shes a really nice teacher and enjoys her job. she says her tests are super hard, but they werent as hard as i expected. if you take good notes and study youll do fine. go to class and do the extra credit SONA stuff and you should get a decent grade
one of my favorite teachers. super energetic and knowledgeable about the subject. very friendly and easy to approach. 4 MC exams. extra credit thru SONA. attendance not mandatory but gives 11 random 'in-class assgnts' to take roll. tests are hard but doable. two 3-5pg case study papers which are kinda fun. i will certainly take her again!!!
Had her for psyche of Exceptional Childhood...Didnt care for the case studies, but as long as you're in depth about your diagnosis and treatment you should be fine...she gives 20 pts extra credit for sona or movie review...her tests are tricky so do the study guide. the case studies are the only papers you'll have to write in her class.
I would not recommend taking her in class lecture(non online). Way too much reading involved for a 300 level elective. She jumps all over the place when lecturing which makes it difficult to takes notes properly. Test are hard, unless you have taken tons of psych classes and are already familiar with the topics. Wish I would have known this prior
Her class is fun and interesting. In class activities are sometimes done so its not just a lecture. She cuts some slack on homework assignments. She knows her stuff, her tests can be somewhat difficult but she allows extra credit and you do two papers that she mildly grades to help you out with overall grading. Presents information well.
NOT an easy A. Other professors for this intro course test definitions, and Morrow tests through concept understanding. Read the textbook, do the learning objectives, and take notes in class. There are extra credit opportunities. This is a HARD class, but you'll know your stuff once you're done. Loved professor Morrow and would take her again!
I found this particular class to be very difficult. Notes are very clear, but sometimes just too much to take in at once. The tests are a variety of in class notes and info from the text so be sure to review both. Basically if you don't do well on the tests but good on other assignments it's hard to get anything above the C, D+ range.
Tests were difficult if you did not study. She gives you a study guide and schedules review times to group chat. DO THE REVIEWS and mark page numbers as references.
I loved Mrs. Morrow she was always very clear about assignments and her lectures were always interesting. you can really tell she loves her job and knows her stuff. She is very approachable and does everything she can to help the students succeed. Her tests do require studying but I got A's on all of them without much trouble. Got an A overall.
Super sweet lady. Amazing background in psych. Her tests are HARD - do the study guide very thoroughly and you should be okay. Teaches by using a lot of examples, which I really enjoyed. One of my favorite psych teachers here at ODU.
Not helpful at all. "Review sessions" over an hour long consisting of her pointing around and not giving any helpful info. A ridiculous amount of D's and F's in the class. I will unfriend the person who suggested that I take her class. This was an elective I took out of interest, wish I could drop.
Someone else said the tests are designed to make you fail, ENTIRELY TRUE, she tests your understanding of the information but are way to lengthy. Grades everything too harshly. Not a Fun class I've been in college over 5 years this is the WORST class I have ever taken. Not like it was difficult but I felt there was no help
Extremely helpful-really hard class with this teacher. Information was interesting and fairly easy to understand. Your grade comes from tests (400/525), in class act. (25/525), and exercises (100/525). DO LEARNING OBJ. LIKE 5 TIMES. Not impossible to get an A- but if you have a heavy loaded semester, take someone else. HARD grader! Be specific.
I'm a senior majoring in COMM and I took this class online. I loved it so much I've declared PSY as my minor. Easy but time consuming online class. Do the learning obj, read the book, make a study guide, attend review sessions, do the participation and extra credit activities and you CAN get an A. She's also extremely pleasant.
I found this class to be difficult. She is a wonderful and helpful professor, though I didn't like her TA this semester. Read the material, do the assignments, and the objectives (they are extremely helpful on tests) Attend her review sessions, they will really help too. I would recommend her, just be prepared to work for your grade!
A very difficult class. A lot of work and exams can be confusing. Teacher is willing to help, though.
Don't expect the professor to adhere to everything she says or what is written in her syllabus. Very unorganized, this student was an A- until the last week.
Ms. Morrow was a great teacher. She had a very clear cut syllabus, and graded exactly what she asked for. You have to work for your grade here though. Her tests are extremely hard because it makes you apply what you read in the chapters to real life situations, and there is an hour time limit. Overall, great class though.
Likes to hear herself talk. Talks in the PowerPoint highly unnecessary. Talks in circles. Doesn't know how to work the program she uses for the review session very annoying. She is beyond extra.
Professor Morrow is a really nice lady. Her tests are hard and it requires a lot of work (doing weekly learning objectives) to pass. She asks very tough questions that require a lot of critical thinking. I haven taken her for a couple classes and I have had to work very hard to get a good grade. If you want to put in the work, you can get the grade
Great professor-tough grader. Variety of assignments, clear syllabus, great review sessions online before exams-don't skip them! But You Better Work. You have to really read the text, PP lectures, and do learning objectives to survive & thrive. No easy A here. Very willing to help but makes no exceptions. You'll finish smarter.
This Lady grades entirely to hard. The book information is straight forward but she have a way of mixing it up for the test with these confusing questions that she do not even understand. So after every exam she gives like 4 extra points which are still not enough help to make up for her mixed up words. one hour for the exam. I NORMALLY GET 2
Great professor. Look out for papers- they are graded tough. Invest major time into them. Attend Adobe sessions for exam review- they will help a ton with the exams. Don't wait till the last minute to do Objectives- they take a long time. Exams can be tricky, but not if you know the material.
Great online course. Very tough grading on case studies- Follow rubrics exactly or lose major points. Attend exam reviews online. Do all extra credits- they help a lot. Utilize power points & their audio clips for objectives or get annihilated at exams. Must know material- people say her tests are tricky but not if you're prepared. A for hard work.
She is a great professor who is passionate about what she does. You will need to WORK for your grade. She is a tough grader and you will need to be prepared for the exam or you WILL fail. PPTs w/ audio + the book+ review session and you will do great on her tests. Participation is mandatory. Spend time on the exercises she grades those tough
Good teacher, the participation activities are sometimes a little hard to follow b/c they aren't always posted in the weekly module. Tests can be a little tough sometimes but are manageable. Clear grading criteria and PLENTY of extra credit opportunity, there's something every week.
Great professor and excellent course. You better be ready to work, however. Exams are tough and you need to read over all course work to be prepared. Attend online sessions for reviews- best way to get feedback and get necessary exam prep. Get the text- you will need it.
Good class, good professor. Need to stay on top of course. Do not fall behind on reading, etc. or you will have a hard time later. Go to review sessions and ask for help when you need it. Professor always emails back in timely manner.
Do the study guides and you will pass the exams
Pros: Very good about emailing back, and thorough explanations. Cons: Doesn't proof read her tests - don't freakout if correct answers are wrong, she'll fix it. Her social marketing papers are hard and graded harshly. Email beforehand with ANY questions - FOLLOW THE RUBRIC AND INSTRUCTIONS. Do all extra credit and participation activities.
I can tell that she is passionate about her course. However, this course is very very hard. I think sometimes people have something to prove & this is that. If you don't have to take this class, I would not reccommend. There's no real instruction so you are learning on your own online. You must do every single thing in the course or you will fail.
Nursing students- TAKE HER ONLINE! Great prof! Don't be afraid of the 17 page syllabus. She sticks with it. Watch her recorded lessons, attend the online pre-test recap, do the practice exams, and make an outline of the objectives in order and you are guaranteed an A. No reply based discussion boards. 1 paper. 4 exams. 40 easy extra credit points.
Ms. Morrow does care a lot about the subject she teaches and wants all her students to learn from her class. Beware, she is a though grader but she always gives guidelines on what is expected of her assignment. She is always available to answer questions and will help you if you are struggling. Would recommend her.
Her classwork is straightforward but her papers are the worst. If you use more than one direct quote YOU WILL GET A 0. No exceptions. Even for "practice papers". I don't recommend.
Professor Morrow is the best! She follows along with her syllabus throughout the semester, and offers a lot of extra credit. Took Health Psychology and Lifespan Development online and I highly recommend.
The BEST psych prof at ODU hands down. I would and do continue to take her classes semester after semester. Although her classes are online her style makes you feel more than just another name on BlackBoard. She responds to emails very quickly, encourages her students to excel, and gives wonderful Adobe Connect exam reviews. Truly the best ever.
By far the worst psychology teacher I have ever taken. She grades really harsh, even if you complete a good amount of the questions she wants you to for the papers. Her tests are horrible even when you study. Highly do not recommend! Take Parker, Younkin, Clarke, Paulson, anyone but her!
Ms. Morrow is the best! Each week she sends out "Motivation Monday" and on Tuesdays she sends out exactly what she wants and what is due for the next week. She is very good at responding back to emails and is caring and willing to give extra credit in each module you do!
HORRIBLE!!! .... DO NOT TAKE!
This was the best online class Ive taken. Professor Morrow is very organized. She has a very clear syllabus that she follows through with the whole semester. With her syllabus and weekly email reminders, its highly unlikely that youll be confused as to what you need to be doing. This was a great class and she is a great professor.
She will definitely make you work for your grade, but is very detailed about what she expects. If you follow directions closely for the weekly assignments, do the reading and objectives, attend the Adobe Connect exam reviews, and work hard on your 2 exercises (she grades tough on these) you will ace the class!
I took this class online and it was easy. The class consists of modules due every week or every 2 weeks. Each module has extra credit and some assignments aren't mandatory. I would recommend to take this online class. Easy A.
I have taken 3 of Professor Morrow's online classes and looking forward to the 4th! She offers a clearly written syllabus, extra credit opp., and study guides/reviews for exams. Don't be distracted by the negative comments, she doesn't offer an "easy A" but you will get the grade you earn.
She is horrible!! please do not believe anyone up here that says this is a good class! SHE requires you to do WAY TO MUCH WORK! its insane the amount of work she requires. There is reading materials that like 60 to 80 questions each week and sometimes there is two of those reading assignments. The exams are really hard as well! DO NOT TAKE HER!!
This professor is wonderful, but the textbook was a complete waste of money. While the textbook is full of great info, none of it is on the test or used for anything in class. It is all based on her power points and lectures. AND it is hard. The entire semester was very poor grades for class average tests. Homework though was much easier.
This class is very easy it's just a lot of work so just make sure you manage your time very well! Papers are graded very hard! Also she checks through test to see if students are cheating online someone I know got caught so just be careful! But other than the tests are hard just make sure you study and don't just try to get through the modules fast
do not take this class !!! she gives a lot of work and a very hard grader !!! you must study for test and you have 2 papers .. would never take her again !!!!! NEVER ...
this is a very difficult class, I would never take her again. The test do not look anything like the Modules she goes off of PPT , the Book and Voice Instruction. I do not recommend
I LOVED this teacher. I took an online class. I see people saying the textbook is a waste but that is half of your online work so its needed. It was a lot of work in this class but it was "easy". She is very helpful. She gives tons of updates. A large amount of extra credit. Her exam answers are all given in her PP. She gives all the tools to pass.
Prof Morrow is definitely a tough grader and has hard tests, but if you do what she asks and attend the review sessio, its an EASY A. She is so sweet, and will help you at all costs to help you pass. Her modules were self explanatory and she is SO helpful. I'm not sure why anyone would have anything bad to say, if you fail its because you're lazy.
Professor Morrow is one of the best professors I have had. Her online class is extremely organized. She has tons of extra credit built in to the modules. It is very hard to not pass this class with a good grade, unless you are not doing the work. She has test reviews; which gives you all the material that will be covered on the test.
Dr. Morrow is extremely kind and caring. She gives extra credit opportunities and even did online review sessions with us. Her tests are very hard so I suggest reading the textbook and listening to lecture
Mrs. Morrow has the absolute best set up for an online class!! For PSYC 203S she provides the online textbook. She is the most organized, clear, and on top of things professor! On top of that she is very helpful and caring to all students. This class comes with a lot of work, it felt like a 400 level class to me but I learned a lot!
You'll spend hours on a study guide just to realize that they are USELESS and have NO CORRELATION to the exams. The exams are SO SUBJECTIVE and absolutely bizarre. The TA's will dock points on your papers for the most minuscule reasons. I will ABSOLUTELY LOATHE the thought of this class AND Professor Morrow for the rest of my life. GOOD RIDDANCE.
This professor is an extremely tough grader.
I took the online version of the class due to the COVID pandemic. She doesn't lecture, you get sent a powerpoint each week and have to teach yourself psychology. There is also computer generated reading quizzes each week that take at least 2 hours each! The exams have nothing to do with her notes and the wording make it impossible to understand
I did all of my assignments except 1 because of how she grades things she only makes certain things mandatory. I didnt do it because i was confused and she wouldnt let me do anything to make it up. It brought me from a 86 to a 78. You also had text book quizzes each week that took at least 2 hours. Tests were nothing like the quizzes/notes.
She is a good professor but a very tough grader. She was very nice if you reached out for help and was easily accessible. She has a review session for each test because they are VERY hard. Prepare to create a heavy study guide because youll need it to study.
The textbook was required, but it can be easily accessed online. She is a good professor that is easy to get assistance from. She is an easy grader as well and requires the minimum because she wants you to pass. I really enjoyed her test reviews too.
I didn't do well for personal reasons , otherwise, she is an amazing professor. Super helpful and responds as well
Half of the grade is participation, and there are ample extra credit. 6-8 hours per week, not including tests. The semester project steps are graded very critically, so follow the rubric exactly and ALWAYS err on the side of over-explaining. Tests (4) require studying and mastery to get better than low passing.
Most of my other professors were unhelpful when I was struggling, not her though. She gave great feedback, was very kind and you can tell that she enjoys her work. She uses examples to make things easier to understand, and she welcomes questions in class. There's a lot of homework but it really isn't that bad. She is also reliable with emails.
Professor Morrow was super helpful all throughout the semester. She is clear in reviews and is always available to help. Her assignments weren't hard, and doing the question sheet really helps prepare for the tests.
Psychology was overall a pretty easy class. There was a homework every night but only some was required and the rest are extra credit. The tests are open note but definitely the hardest part of the class but they are curved too. As long as you do all the assignments and some extra credit there is no way to fail.
This professor does not lecture. Instructions for projects were poorly communicated. Rubrics were not followed. Grading for projects was extremely biased. I have a 3.76 cumulative GPA and was given a 46 on a project that should have been an A. If you want to ace the exams, pay attention to what is in her PowerPoints. That's all she cares about.
I'm an all a student. Not the worst ever, but I wouldn't choose it again. Lectures were ok, but had nothing to do w/ the tests [unnecessarily hard ones - only gave 1.2 minutes per question]. Felt like you had no time to read questions. Don't like her much, recommend taking another class, if you can't, be ready to read and be confused by the tests.
Listen, I've been an online student for 6 years and I've never experienced a teacher who doesn't care about the success of her students as much as her. When I say students I mean full time online students. She will give you 3 long chapters to finish in a 2 1/2-3 week stand and then give you an exam. I have more to say but this all I can fit. Do NOT
I have had much harder profs, some people just want to be handed an A. She gives ample extra credit, DBs are easy you just have to follow basic instructions, and she curves the tests (follow the PPTs/she gives you a study guide). One of the papers is "difficult" but she lets you skip one. All in all it's not that hard, just do the assignments & go
People in my class complained that it's too much work, but her class is the only one I've taken online that's comparable to an in-person class. It is a lot of work but if you do the assignments and follow the study guides you should not have trouble passing. I found the people that complain are the ones who expect to be given A's for little effort.
She grades most assignments by giving full credit or a zero. I literally wrote like 5 paragraphs and got a zero for it because I missed one point. You should never write that much and put in effort` and receive a zero for anything! Her tests are the worst! she literally marks questions as hard questions but doesn't just take them off the exam!
I love Professor Morrow. Her exams are hard but if you watch the lectures and do the review you will do fine. I had a full-blown meltdown and almost dropped all my classes and she literally turned into a person therapist for me (when she didn't have to) and talked me down, and I will never forget that. She truly cares about her students.
This professor has very hard tests, but she also provides review sessions and study guides for each test. She tells you exactly what she is looking for and exactly where to find it. She is very interested in the material and it is very clear that she cares about how her students do in her class. Love her and would definitely take her again!
Workload heavy, tough grader, tough exams. Definitely would avoid taking her classes again.
Don't take her class; she's so unsure of her exams. She grades you 0 or 10 on participation activities, no in-betweens. Exercise instructions are all over the place. She takes too long to grade. 36 Graded works in total.
Professor Morrow's class assignments and DB are pretty easy and straight forward but tests are wordy and hard. However, she does provide study guides and holds review sessions for each exam where she tells you what to expect on the the test and where to find the information to study. As long as you do the work you should pass.
The volume of work is extreme. Can only see one question at the time on exams. Canvas is so messy, way too many links. It's hard to navigate the course. Grading is complicated. She is a really nice person, but this class is honestly terrible and so unnecessary. I was a 4.0 student before her class.
I was not a very big fan of this professor. The workload was a lot, especially for an elective course. The exams were difficult and there were multiple assignments due every week. All of that would've been ok but she doesn't responds to her emails efficiently. Good luck if you are planning on having her as a professor anytime in the future.
Nice professor. But the course was difficult to navigate. LOTS of assignments. Tough grader on the essays. You might need to use the extra credit opportunities. You have to read the material to pass. A quick google search won't help most of the time for this class.
Tough grader with challenging exams, but Morrow provides helpful study guides and review sessions. Stay on top of the work, and consider using unstuck AI alongside other resources to prepare. Overall, a demanding yet manageable class if you're willing to put in the effort.
Overall, a tough class with a lot of material and assignments but so far, one of my favorites at ODU. She allows you a lot of choice and she's responsive and intelligent. She is a tough grader, her exams aren't the hardest, but they're a little tough.
Love this professor learned a lot in her class and was fun to learn to from
The professor uses SmarterProctoring for exams, but the instructions didn't make it clear that a live proctor would be watching. The practice exam had no proctor, so this was unexpected and stressful. The platform feels inefficient and wastes time. She should consider a clearer or different exam platform.
She adheres closely to her syllabus and consistently reminds students that she is strongly against the use of AI or Grammarly for assignments. She enjoys lecturing - and sometimes being sassy- in her responses. She does offer extra credit opportunities. Overall, I find her to be a bit extra and over the top in her approach. Would not recommend.
This professor is very strict about her syllabus and strongly against using AI or Grammarly. She lectures a lot and can be sassy, sometimes coming off as condescending. Extra credit is offered, but it's only worth four points. Exams use SmarterProctoring, which wasn't clearly explained and caused stress. I would not recommend this professor at all.
As an online student, I wish all of my online professors were like her. Each module is put together by reading chapters, watching her lecture videos, and applying the knowledge. She is very involved with the material and class, provides tons of resources along with extra credit opportunities. I would take her course if you have the opportunity to.
