Always willing to help
Take this class as a freshman! Teaches you what a real college research paper should be, and you will need this skill!!!!! Lotso f the computer stuff was common knowledge to most students but near the end it was all new stuff. Easy, only 1 paper!!!
She is so nice, really helps on all assignments. Gives review drills as attendence, so you have to show up. A little boring but such an easy class.
Very nice person and always willing to help you! You will write an research paper and she will help you as long as you ask for it!
Totally unreasonable about deadlines. I had so many problems wich were NOT MY FAULT and she wouldn't even give more time for anything.I dont think its fair to not allow making up work when I missed class because I have a job and very little time.
Try not to take this class, this class ruined my day. I think she went out of her way to make my day worse.Go to class every day or you are not going to do well.
Very easy, except for one big paper and presentation. Feels a lot like high-school. Familiarizes freshmen with university services. Come to class, ask for help; she is more than willing to get you on the right track. Nice lady and enthusiastic.
The most boring class ever. Treats you like youre 10, but thats not always a bad thing. One huge paper and a group project..thats about it. Not a very hard class. Midterm & Final were a joke. Shes kind of weird, but overall shes nice.
a very nice lady who goes out of her way to be friendly with everyone, she's a good teacher who knows her stuff (its an intro class). Everything is easy, the paper takes work but is not hard, highly recommended!!!
she is the best teacher
Very nice lady. If you don't like to attend class then don't take it. Review drills every day. One big paper and presentation. Web site - easy. Overall an easy class. If you fail it then you didn't try at all.
EASY CLASS but you still learn a lot! such a nice lady...so helpful. mid term, final, one paper, and a presentation. go to class and get points just for showing up and having a pulse.
I was shocked to get a B because I always get As on papers. The paper is harder than you think at first. Just make sure you go to class EVERY DAY and follow directions for the paper.
great teacher! learned a lot in her class! take her if you can.
Very clear, very lenient, very helpful. Too bad she was boring as hell and liked to micro-manage assignments. This class assumes you know nothing about technology, and will give step-by-step instructions for OPENING A FILE. I digress. Nice lady, EASY A
The class was really easy if you kept up with what little work she gives...make sure you don't skip class because she takes off points everytime!
Helpful, and extremely friendly. Easy class, very little homework. Relatively easy grader. Our class always got out like 30-45 minutes early. Definitely recommend.
Nice lady, should be teaching elementary school though. Treats you like a little kid. Tough/picky grader on the paper but everything else is really easy.
This class was an extreme waste of my time. She teaches to the class as if you are in Elementary school. She is extremely picky and willingly admits she wants the paper her way regardless of whether it is right or not. Just ask her she knows all. Just a complete waste of time!
If you are willing, you can learn a LOT about college-level writing. Don't whine about your grades because you'd have to be brain dead to not understand.
OMG! She looks up and READS all of your sources! This lady must never sleep. If you are having trouble though she will spend alot of time with you if you just ask
Knows her stuff but way to picky and anal. This class should be a breeze if you know anything about computers and writing a research paper. This is a required course...take it with someone else unless you need to learn the material. If your a tranfer...do not take her!
This class was so easy it bored me! She talks to you like you are a child though and that can be very very very annoying!!!!
Super nice lady. I learned stuff I never knew. Good way to learn the University's resources
Really nice lady, not a great professor. It's not a hard class if you do exactly what she tells you to do and don't try and add any of your own personality or creativity. She's overly picky and sometimes inconsistent with grading. She will help you if you ask for it though. She'd probably make a great kindergarden teacher.
Alright, I don't know why people say this is an easy class! Maybe if you have no life it is. She makes you do a lot of work and grades very tough. I'm on the deans list and am basically failing this class. Take with another teacher if possible, she is a horrible teacher with no life and expects you not to have one either.
Make sure u do well on the paper, its 30% of your grade...u can bs it thought (i got 100%). the mid term and final are really easy. I learned a lot about what u can use in the library
She will tell you that you NEED a flash drive, but you don't. Its helpful, but you can e-mail yourself anything you do in class
Requires a great deal of pointless work. There are drills everyday to take attendance. She seems confused and is unclear when you ask her questions. Tells you what will be on the midterm/final the day before the test. I think she has good intentions, but I would not recommend taking this class unless you like spending hours on a research paper.
istc201 rocks
She's not very intelligent and talks to us like we are in elemetary school. She's really nice thought, and the work isn't hard if you just do it.
OMG! She is really nice but does talk to you like your in kindergarten! and it is really an easy class. But DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONCE A WEEK cuz it just makes it that much harder .attendance is required and once a week just sucks! we spent 15 weeks writing a research paper. If you have to take this teacher make it more than once a week.
Honors version of ISTC201. She's extremely nice, does treat you like a elementary school kid though. Really easy class. Just do the assignments the way she wants it and show up and it's an easy A.
she is so sweet and helpful however she wants all her papers on time...no excuses.....
Such a nice lady. Really, she's great. Just do the work (it's easy), and you'll get an A. I don't think she talks to her students like they're in elementary school...she's just a really nice and warm person. Really wants you to get something out of the class, and will help cater assignments to you, even if you're not an ED major. She's great.
She has very reasonable expectations for an honors class and makes materials very clear for tests and before assignments are due. I can't lie about the class though... painfully boring and useless. It is almost a given that you will do well with all of the drills and busy work. Don't waste time on reading, it isn't tested and doesn't help much.
I don't know how ppl can say it was easy. Yeh, the drills were but the paper was hard. She is a tough grader. Ask for help if u need it cuz she's picky as hell.
She was very nice; although her class was dreadfully boring. Her assignments were fairly easy, just follow directions precisely. If you have an issue with a grade, email her; she's extremely lenient. Overall, the class was a breeze; a piece of cake!
Extremely picky....Nice but too picky and a hard grader. This class is annoyingly hard for no reason....Really nice lady boring class
She is sooo sweet...She tries her best to work with you even if your doing bad in the class. Recommended extra credit for me.
She is a nice and fair professor. Her class is pretty easy, but I would not recommend taking the class once a week on fridays. You have to be there, or she will take points off your grade. That's how my grade wound up being lower. Still did pretty well though. All in all, an easy class and easy professor.
She seems so nice and all but if you paste from WWW she will give u a F for the whole course so watch out that happened 2 someone in my group. I was kind of happy to see him get nailed tho.
Easy class, basically your grade is a VERY easy paper (I got a 99.5%), and 2 tests. I didn't do the readings, but you only use them for warm ups, and you can look at the book, so that is really easy. She is a sweetheart and likes to talk to you. Got out of class early almost every time.
The easiest class I have ever taken. If you show up, she might as well hand you an A. The class is boring, but if you're looking for an easy A, take it. She is a really sweet lady and she makes it practically impossible to fail.
This class sucks. You think it'd be so easy but she is the pickiest grader ever and its just stupid useless work that you get. don't take this class.
Ew...just don't take this class. I mean, it's easy but its just so dumb and boring. She's nice but she's so nitpicky it's not even funny. You'd probably like her more if your an ED major, which I'm not.
This class was a major headache. She is a nice lady, but she makes this class harder than it needs to be. The paper was a nightmare, and the tests are really hard. In general, I don't see how this class has anything to do with education, but that's just my opinion.
Tries to keep class interesting. Your grade is basically based on the paper, which you can rewrite if you got a bad score. You shouldn't if you follow the rubric. Nicest lady, had a whole conversation with her outside of class. Definitely take her.
Doesn't make you buy the textbook. Can get very particular about certain things but its not too bad. You have to take online tests and do in class stuff but your grade is mainly just the paper you spend the whole semester working on. She is always willing to give extra help. Take her.
This class is not hard per se but do not take it with her! She's makes it unnecessarily hard and makes you do everything according to her nit picky rules. She takes off whole grades for little mistakes and never allows wiggle room. It's her way or the highway. It was an honors class and I did well but only when I yielded to her dumb ways.DO NOT TAKE
Nicest teacher ever! She teaches you how to actually use APA and the class is SO easy. Take her!
The content was all common sense, yet the prof took it very seriously. Overall: Weekly quizzes online, 6-10 page paper with a follow-up presentation, not too much homeowork, mandatory attendance, no textbook, super friendly and accepting prof. She's awesome...the class is just DULL. If you're a decent writer and are good a comprehension. easy A.
The coursework overall is pretty easy, however she is a picky grader. She is very nice and has good intentions, but she talks to the class like we are in elementary school. It got annoying.
All she does is talk about her dog the whole time, how useless is that information for me? She goes off on tangents all the time, I can't even follow her lectures most of the time. She's so so so so picky. If it isn't exactly what she wants she will totally butcher your grade.
Never take this class for ISTC 201! She pretends that she is nice but she is the opposite. She is an extremley picky grader and there is no way you will get an A in the class. She plays favorites if you are not someone she likes you will keep recieving horrible grades. This class was definitely my most stressful class at Towson, and it's a gened.
She doesn't require a book. She seems nice but she is a huge B****! She has favorites and pretends to like everyone but actually hates everyone else. She likes to add her on edition to APA making it more confusing. Quizzes weekly on stupid s**t. complete waste of my time and money. Hard grader for a 200 level course. dont take her, you'll regret it
steer clear! she seems nice, but is conniving. she is not a consistent grader & she refuses to admit her mistakes and change the grade accordingly. be ready to spend the whole semester doing rinky dink things for the paper due at the end. its a waste of time & she is such a picky grader. instead of reviewing for the final, she played around. dumb!
I'm an A student(we'll see after this class). She treats you like ur a moron. She allows you to rewrite the research paper-when I got my revised one back she took off more points!I changed everything that she suggested & she still found a way to take points off!She says she is available to talk, but dont bother! She will refuse to see her mistakes.
uhm wack lady wack class. she was pointless with her lectures and i spent my whole life on her complicated ass research paer. dont take her shes stuck up as hell
she is a terrible professor. if you like clear, consistent and fair teaching/grading-DONT TAKE HER! she really has no business teaching at the college level. don't let her fool you, she is STINGY, she makes mistakes all the time but won't admit or fix them...WORST PROF. EVER!
OMG! Don't pay any attention to below. We were so happy when she dropped! She was a total moron. This prof is pretty hard, but she'll help you if you ask for it. The paper is really hard, tho!
She is absolutely horrible. She isn't clear on directions and expects a lot when she doesn't teach anything. I would never recommend her. She is very childish.
Attendence is mandatory which sucks cause this class is boring. She is a REALLY picky grader and takes points off for stupid stuff. She never explained the research paper that counts for 30% of your grade. Weekly quizzes are dumb, lots of answers, none are clear. Bonus-no class on fridays for half the semester. She's not horrible but not a favorite
Even though she is a little bit of a stickler on a couple of things overall the class wasn't too bad. Her quizzes were a little outrageous, 5 questions 20 points each.
This is the worst professor you could possibly ever take. Her quizzes are rediculous, answer choices go to choice F and G. Also, I passed and did well on all her assignements all semester, but she has the heart to fail me on my research paper which i worked so hard no. Not saying i deserved an A or B, but not a F...DONT TAKE HER!!!!
Do not take her. Her quizzes are extremely hard. This class was extremely stressful for a gen ed. You work all year on your research paper, and if you do bad on that you're pretty much screwed.
this teacher is the worst person ever. she is what i like to call a nice ****, shell tell you your paper is bad with a smile on her face. & this was my most stressful class at Towson and its a gen-ed. she is a horrible person, i would say teacher but she never taught me anything. if you have a chance to switch professors, do it
ONLY TAKE HER FOR HONORS!!! She's nice to the honors class, but not to the regualar one. This class was pointless- it just teaches you how to write an APA paper. You won't learn much and it's basically a waste of time. Unfortunately, the course is required. If you take Obenshain, get on her good side and you'll be fine.
She always had a nice facade. However, underneath it all she was the nicest lady in the world. She had no idea what she was talking about. The only nice thing was that she invited the class to her house for thanksgiving. Pretty much it.
Nice lady, picky grader. I didn't mind the pickiness though because she taught me how to write an awesome paper in APA format. I know exactly how it should be written and never have any errors on my future papers. Hard grader but it is well worth it if you want to write a successful paper in college.
horrible teacher. she puts up a nice front, so you think shes great, until you get your first grade back. shes an extremely picky grader and doesnt provide much help. she was the cause of all my stress my first semester of college. shes rude and refuses to see your side of anything. she'll hand you your failing work with a smile on her face.
She seems nice at first, but she isn't. She mocks students and makes you feel dumb when you need help. Attendance is very mandatory, although you will never want to go. Quizes every Friday on random information from the week. She is just rude, I'd never take her again.
If you can, try to avoid taking her. She is a very picky grader and barely helps you with the research paper. She also has high standards of how your suppose to write and thinks your some prodigy of education. BEWARE. Oh and did i mention there a 5 question quiz every week. get one wrong? yeah. you get an 80.
I thought she was great. If you are college material at all you will learn stuff that will help you in other classes. My whole floor comes to me now for help finding sources. But we all know there were some idiots in the class...
She helped me alot. I'm not a great writer but I try hard and she met with me every week. Really she kept me from dropping out
Love her. She let me tailor the project to my own interests because I am a senior. That way I could take it a little further than the rest of the class. There was a good bit of whining among some Freshmen who thought they should get an A for having a pulse. Nice to see SOME standards at Towson.
Pushes us to do good work. Doesn't tolerate crap.
DO NOT TAKE HER. She seems nice but grades very harshly. She has very strict rules for every assignment. Online quiz every Thursday. Online blog every week. Attendance mandatory. Spent the entire semester working on a 10pg research paper and group powerpoint presentation. Midterm AND a final. A lot of work for a pointless GenEd. Find another one...
I got randomly put in this class with her and she's usually very nice but can sometimes be very rude, especially if you ask questions. She taught me a lot about APA format so I was thankful for that. I probably wouldn't take her again.
She is very nice, but treats you like your in elementary school at times. The assignments are really easy, but the class was not what I had expected, in a negative way. Easy enough class with a nice enough professor.
Topic: Currnet Issues in Education, Extreme Teaching. Obenshain is the nicest professor I have ever had. I LOVED her class. The topic was new and exciting to me because I am not an education major. I learned all the basics about writing a research paper. No way no to pass with an A. Take her!
She is a very sweet lady, but the class was a killer. There was a lot of homework, and weekly quizzes. I may have learned some stuff from the class, but I dreaded going to that class. Try to take a different TSEM if you can. I guess me not being an education major may be the reason as to why I was not a fan of the class.
boring class, she is really picky but a nice teacher. quizzes every week, spend the whole semester writing a paper and presentation.
She is the sweetest lady. But the class was not as easy as I expected it to be. She's a tough grader but show an effort and ask for help and you will succeed.
I was the only one in the class to get an A. It isn't that hard. You just have to do well on the online quizzes, put hard work into your research paper, and study for the midterm and final.
She was just plain awful. Never fully explained anything. Her quizes were ridiculous and never made sense. She grades really harsh on every single detail she can think of. Would not suggest.
She is very odd and the class was really boring even though I like education. It was easy but I never wanted to go. Her quizzes are ridiculous and tricky and her tests are basically all written except for crazy multiple choice questions. She wasn't horrible but I would definitely recommend taking another teacher
She is really nice and helpful. I learned a great deal about some of the controversies in education. It was a good intro to college-level writing too. She always posts grades each day so no surprises. Wish all my teachers would do that!
She usually knows what shes talking about, gives good tips. Just need to make Take notes, pointless notes will come back on tests/quizzes. Tends to talk about the most random things. More than half the class we did not learn anything and got out early almost every class cause there was nothing to learn. Can be easy to earn a good grade if you try.
very nice lady, very HARSH grader. ended up withdrawing from this class because i had more work in this class than all my other classes COMBINED. so many papers to write & very very very picky. pickiest teacher ive ever had. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
She is just so weird.. You have a research paper to write starting at the beginning of the semester and if you can figure out a good argument you want to make right off the bat you will be good.
There are so few grades in this class that if you end up doing badly on one assignment, it'll be almost impossible to get above a B in this class. The class isn't even relevant to the course description, and it's entirely focused on doing APA formatting correctly and frequently rather than the content of your work.
Hated this class because of how much each assignment is worth. The tests were based off of a question from each day of class so be sure to take notes. She is a strange human being and I wish I took a different TSEM. I know people that had other teachers for extreme teaching and had a much better experience. Don't take this class with her!
LOVED Prof. Obenshain! Such a sweet lady, really cares about her students. Overall class material was not difficult. I definitely recommend her!!
She is a very nice lady but a very picky grader. Follow all rubrics. The examples she shows in class are not what she wants. Always go above what the examples show. She will never give you 100% on anything even if you do it perfectly. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on homework. Hardest TSEM class at Towson.
Take a differnt TSEM teacher, her class is way to difficult for a 102 class. She is EXTREMELY picky and only wants things done her way. I would never take her class again, she is very weird, awkward, and just annoying. Take lots of notes and treat all the assignments seriously, and never skip class!
Do NOT take her TSEM. She is very picky about what she wants and does not want to see her students succeed. The average grade in class is a low C and there is not a single A. If you want to learn something and do well take another professor, because she is the worst.
I wish I did not take this class. She is so picky. What she says is right no matter what. On MANY assignments she has messed my grade up because she "missed" something. And not a little adjustment, like 2 letter grades. She's terrible. Take another class.
Helps a lot with APA formatting. I think most people dislike her because they have a hard time writing a research paper that is graded with high standards. Easy A if willing to work hard
She's the sweetest woman alive, class is actually worth going to. All assignments are in regards to the big research paper- if you follow her clearly written directions (no matter how bizarre they seem) then you will get an A. There are points from a ton of other things too, though, in case you mess up one or two assignments.
I love Ms. Obenshain, both inside and outside of the classroom! Her midterm and final questions are straight from the notes you take and she tells you what to study. The whole class is built around one research paper that she walks you through and even gives you a chance to redo. Just don't slack. It's easy to because she is nice, but put in work.
Attendance is mandatory, but you show up and then leave. You only need to stay if you have questions for her about your paper. Like any TSEM this class teaches you how to write a research paper. She has very clear guidelines that must be followed for her class. No other professor I have had cares about paper styles anymore as long as you write it.
Such a sweet lady. When I started this class I wanted to die because it's about education and I'm a Computer Science students with very little interest. But she makes you interested, I was able to relate my paper to my major, even though I probably did bad on it (I'm a bad writer haha). She gives a lot of work, but it's easy and occasionally cool.
One of the hardest graders i've encountered. she expects graduate work from undergraduate first year students. the tests are easy but everything else is graded harshly. She grades attendance so make sure you go. The class is pretty boring but then again it is a seminar. pay attention and do the work and you can pass with a B
I did not like her TSEM class. I wish I took a different TSEM subject. She posts online quizzes that I forgot to do every time. Not recommended.
Don't get fooled by her nice personality, she seems like a kindergarten teacher at first but she is such a tough grader. Really keep up with the work and the quizzes in order to do well. To do well on the essay go to the writing center and make sure all of your APA is on point. Interesting topic though
Ms. Obenshain is okay. Take another TSEM if possible the class is long and boring. Her tests are absolutely ridiculous, it kind of makes no sense. The final paper is kind of long 8-10 pages but that's almost every TSEM you take here. She is nice though. Just beware of the tests and online quizzes they are hard to follow.
Make sure to pay attention and take lots of notes. Likes things specifically her way. Get ready to use your brain in the TSEM paper for correct format and lots of "critical thinking." Sweet lady, but can make TSEM harder than it needs to be. Attendance is a huge part of your grade as are the weekly quizzes.
She seems really nice at first and then BAM she starts treating you like elementary school children, but expects graduate work from undergraduate first year students. She is the TOUGHEST and most OCD grader. I got a B and worked extremely hard for it. I would recommend taking another teacher if you can.
I was not a fan of Professor Obenshain. She came off as such a nice lady but really, was not nice or considerate at all. I missed class due to hospitalization and even with a doctors note, she wouldn't excuse me. She said "I do not take doctors notes." DO NOT TAKE HER. Class wasn't extremely hard but she graded hard.
Tough grader, takes attendance very seriously. One large paper due mid way through the semester, but group projects and "debates" are done throughout the whole semester.
While she was a very nice person and I learned a lot from her she was not very understanding at all. She is a tough grades and does not care if you miss an assignment for any reason medical or family she simply couldn't care less. And that made the class a bit harder so try to avoid if you know you will miss for any reason
All TSEMs require a long research paper. This is one of the hardest TSEMs and you really have to work for an A. You will learn how to write a research paper and APA format so that was great. really helped me for my other courses
She is super sweet and really clear about expectations. If you are nervous about research papers, you will learn to write them here. I'm not even an education major but I found it very interesting and she let me Incorporate my own major into my research topic. Don't slack, and you will learn.
High standards, so if you are used to sleeping in class you're gonna have a bad time. If you want to learn A LOT then you will love this TSEM. She is really passionate about education and you will be too if you are interested in teaching.
Starts out nice, but is NOT! Does not re-grade anything, even if she made a mistake while grading! Says she will fix it but usually does not and then when you bring it up again she just tells you she does not have time and the class needs to move on. "HW" is making a Weebly Felt like crying and/or getting drunk after attending this class!
TERRIBLE DO NOT TAKE!! She acts nice in the beginning but is completely unreasonable with doctor notes and make ups. She also expects everything to be done outside of class with barely any instruction
its clear she cares about her subject.. but a terrible teacher. says we're college kids and she expects more.. but then has us doing elementary school activities. also ask all your questions if youre confused bc she is a tough grader and you will not pass if you dont understand
This woman is horrible, its that simple. TSEM is suppose to be an easy class to introduce new students to college work. Instead this was the most difficult class on my schedule. Absolutely impossible to meet her standards and she is never satisfied with a students work. Has no regard for absence and has ridiculous requirements. Terrible professor.
she "doesnt believe in perfect work" so the most she will give you is a 98% but even that is impossible to attain. all work is done outside of class with little support from her and shes not helpful during office hours. good luck if you take her
She expects a lot, but I was proud of the paper I wrote in the end. Hate to admit it, but I learned a lot.
Minor mistakes would be made and she takes points off like crazy. She was not helpful when you were struggling in class she would tell you to just figure it out. I would never take her again
She was very confusing and takes off a lot of points for tiny mistakes. Do not take her class.
Her grading makes absolutely no sense. She will literally take off hella points for little things. She's also bias; if you're not an EDUC major she will likely not appreciate your work or even take the time to read it throughly. Tried to say I'm not a good writer when I get 90's and up on papers in literally every other college class I've taken.
Prof. Obenshain makes the class a little lighter by telling jokes and adding funny stories in. She does grade based on attendance so you should show up to every class. She has an online short quiz every week but you only have a 24 hour window to take it. You usually get out of class earlier every day though which is great.
Professor Obenshain is an easy professor until the "big paper" so be sure to be intuned with her. She's a nice lady but if you do not put citations in your paper correctly she will take off various point.
I have seen alot people give her very low and harsh rates but honestly she was a really great professor. She was a tough grader but she would make notes on what was wrong and let you turn it back in for credit. There are quizzes at the end of every week but they are 5 questions and are on the subject you learned that week. She is dedicated and nice
VERY tough grader. If you miss a small thing, you'll get points taken off. She is very strict when it comes to certain things, I failed an assignment because I forgot to attach the bibliography, she said she would not let me turn it in later, even if I genuinely forgot. She is caring and understanding overall but strict in coursework.
Do not take her class lol. Her class is pretty unreasonable. She will smile in your face & fail your assignment right after. One big research paper that she grades pretty strictly on and quizzes on BB once a week. (She loves "both a&b" multiple choice tests.) Don't count on her cancelling class & if she does there will be an assignment still due.
This was the first teacher that ever ignored me in class, and gave me attitude. She was very rude to me as an individual and belittled my contributions in class. She treats the class like a high school course and gives out many assignments, but is a VERY strict grader. I usually get A's on papers, but in her class I got a D. Don't take this class
Professor Obenshain is one of the sweetest professors I've encountered at Towson. That being said, shes a strict grader. like REALLY strict. the online quizzes are relatively easy as was the midterm, the big paper is graded extra harsh and she's very specific about how she wants it done. Overall a good professor but strict with work.
I would not take her class, if you are not majoring in education then she is bound to grade you more harsh then other students. she is a super nice lady, however she doesn't grade fair. The quizzes assigned each week are objectified and are poorly written. Don't take her if you want an easy A.
She does teach you how to write a research paper, to be fair. But a majority of the assignments are pointless, unneccesary group proj's & quizzes. They only make sure that you're going to class & listening to every detail & reading every article. You don't get much time to figure out your topic before you choose articles. Nice but nit-picky prof.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She acts like a passive aggressive elementary school teacher. She cares more about your citations and what not than she does about actual content for your paper. SO many pointless assignments. Impossible to please her. Cares more about your personal life than she does about how you're doing academically. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
One of the worst professors I've had. She's gotten off track talking about her own life, and cares more about your personal life than your questions about the assigned work. I have sent her multiple emails for clarification on work, only for her to not reply until after I've turned it in. Won't give partial credit because "the math's too hard".
caring woman, but expects a lot out of her students in the first couple classes. big on group work and presentations. everything goes into a huge research paper, which she truly cares a lot about. she means well, but doesn't really teach information regarding the class topic.
THIS PROFESSOR SUCKS! TSEM is supposed to be an introduction to college level writing. however this class was the complete opposite. There is a research paper that is MOST of your grade. She sets her standards very high and the average class grade was a C. The office hours she offers are 30 minutes long with not much help included. DO NOT TAKE!
She has to be the hardest grading professor I have ever encountered. I do not recommend anyone taking her if you want an easy TSEM, there is always homework, a lot of readings and quizzes every Thursday.
