She's an awesome teacher! I wasn't interested in art before I took her class, now I'm thinking of switching from a nursing major into an Art History major! I love her class. It's tough, but really good.

Fairly difficult tests, but tons of extra credit. Short and easy paper. It's all on a point system... so you only have to get an 80% overall in order to get an A. She's enthusiastic about the material and a very kind person.

I love her class! She's smart, funny, and she knows how to deliver her material very well. It's a fun class.

She made this class that seemed like it would be boring fun. I feel like I know so much about art now and it was all really interesting. She offered a lot of extra credit and was really helpful in class. She spends a whole day reviewing before the test. She is really smart and has a real passion for art and teaching.

She was very friendly and nice. I liked taking her class. She makes what you are studying intresting. I got a B in her class and didn't have to take the final. I was in her Art App. class too I got an A in her class. She lets you choose if you want to take the final or not. I would recommend her to anyone needing this art course.

I really enjoyed Ms. Burris and this class!! I had no interest in art until I took this class. You do need to show up for class or read the book. Ms. Burris does all lecture using Power Point and one of the test is take home. Our final was 50 slides which are to me was the easiest test she could have given.

shes a great teacher, came away from her class with alot of knowledge. she makes refrences to alot of her own works, and she does mention how she is "the only art historian" at tcc, and a museum curator. she knows her stuff.

I took her course online, and so missed out on her apparent constant references to her own artwork or status as an art historian. I liked her a lot; she clearly loves the material and the book she chose was phenomenal. A very enjoyable class. Admittedly, I was already interested in art history - if you're not, this may be too much for you.

Note, she got married, her new last name is Perez. I loved this class! Her knowledge is expansive and she does good about skipping the boring bits of the book and hitting on the important topics. She really made the class interesting. She also does some take home tests and some regular, and drops your lowest test grade. Lots of extra credit opps.

one of my favorite teachers. she is really interesting, funny, and hip! if you go to class, take good notes, and do the review and any other assignments, you will do well. i took her for art hist 1 and 2 and i wish i could have had her for more classes!

I took Mrs. Perez for ARTS 1303 and now I am in her ARTS 1304 class (both are online). She is spunky, fair, and will explain why she takes points off. She offers a lot of assignments/quizzes (with fair warning), encourages discussion (via forum), integrates popular films, and requires a visit to a local museum. She is an awesome teacher.

This is NOT an easy class. If you are looking for a class just for a credit this is not the one to take. It helps if you are somewhat interested in art because there is a lot of memorization for this class. She is cool and very smart and you also get a couple take home tests. So, that helps. It's important to come to class or you miss out.

Art Hist online. Pretty easy and straightforward. Test and quizzes are essentially open book. There are 2 essay assignments, one requiring you to visit a museum. Good teacher. Only thing I didn't like is that she posted the lessons week by week, so you couldn't work ahead.

I had Suzanne for both 1303 and 1304 Art History Survey. She is the best teacher. Listen to what she says, do the work, read the assignments and you will be fine. I had lecture classes for both semesters. I really loved these classes. I made an A in both classes.

I had her Art History class online. The films we had to watch were hard to find, but the artwork we had to write about was easy. Two essays, quizs and three tests with one test grade dropped. Sweet.

Took both 1303 and 1304 online. Easy A in both. Read the online lessons! They have all the quiz info inside them! You do need to buy the book for both courses if you want an A. Some of the test questions can be pasted into google for the answers! Really easy teacher overall. I just skimmed through book while taking the hour-long tests for answers.

Professor Perez is fun and I really like her a lot! If you don't pass this class, you have serious problems.

I took her online Art History class and it was REALLY easy as long as you keep up with your quizzes and assignments. She is an easy grader on the written assignments and she drops the lowest test grade out of four.

Take Her! Her class is almost too easy, but it takes pressure off and allows for you to go after interesting assignments. Lot's of extra credit, I made well over 100%. She loves her work and will try to make you feel the same way. Great teacher.

she is a really good teacher.. makes the test extremely easy and gives you a review, test comes straight from review so if you dont get an A its your own fault. Really wants you to get the info and lots of extra credit... simple class and she is really entergetic and fun, knowlageable aswell. dont get the book she gives you notes.. no book needed

Currently enrolled in her online Art History Survey I and it's BREEZY. About two quizzes each week and all the work is laid out WEEKS ahead. I'm enrolling in survey II even though I'll be transferring. Had to take her again. :3

Took Art Apprec.Great energetic personality. Makes lectures fun. Experienced, well organized professor. Lots of extra credit available. DO extra credit & you will not have to worry about an A. Everything is easy, except 1 test and the final. If you do the extra credit it will boost your grade, then you don't have to worry about these 2 hard tests.

I definately recommend Mrs. Perez. She grades on a point system and offers close to 100 extra credit points over the semester. We had 2 take home tests and 2 in class tests plus the final. She drops the lowest. Don't buy the textbook, there is one on reserve in the library and it's only needed for the take home tests. Easy A if you go to class.

Took the online course, 4 Exams (dropped the lowest), 10 easy Quizzes (5 questions each), about two research papers. Overall very interesting and helpful!

She loves her job. She knows her stuff. You will need the book, there are 2 open book take home test. And you will need to attend everyday, she gives surprise quizzes. Pretty easy if you pay attention.

She makes you take a lot of notes. Around 4+ pages of notes each class session. So if you think you can just come in and leave later, you've got an awakening coming for you. MOST of the tests are from in class note taking and lectures. You will not make an A if you do not listen to her lectures. A 5-8 minute presentation off a 2pg paper and artwk.

She is awesome! Makes you wanna be an Art major. Very knowledgable in the field and gives lots of extra credit opportunities. At least 1 open book test this semester. She is a great teacher and would definitely take another class with her.

Very helpful and understanding to your circumstances. I took her Sunday class and the only hard part was you cant miss more than three days. She is willing to work with you if you talk to her about your situation. She gives TONS of extra credit, several participation grades, and one of her tests is an open book - take home test. Mrs. Perez has an outline of the due dates posted ahead of time. I took this class online and it is easy due to the fact all your test are open book. The only part difficult was that after midway throught the semester, the quizzes had true or false questions that were not in the book. I still passed but you must do a lot of reading in this course.

This class wasn't hard at all. Took online, questions were strait from the textbook. Before midterm, tests and exams are retakeable and shows you which ones you got wrong. She's nice, clear with assignments and tells you exactly whats going to be tested over. Would take a class from her again!

I highly recommend Mrs. Perez. If you show up to every class and pay attention her class is really easy. She is laid back and makes learning about art fun. There are two take home tests, and she gives you a ton of extra credit work to do. She has you do a presenation and paper on art work that you do. It is super easy.

Hands down the best teacher i've had so far at TCC. She is wonderful. Very helpful, very understanding,very kind. Her class is laid back which in my opinion makes the class less stressful because it's easier to communicate with her. Her class is easy as long as you show up to every class and pay attention. Most of her exams are take home too.

This woman makes me want to change my major to art, or art history. Her passion is infectious. I loved this class. One thing, she says M'kay after every sentence. Don't dwell on it and just bask in the newly found appreciation of art that she has just imbued upon you. I don't know why she is teaching at a CC and not an established University.

I was not unaware of the art world and I love the way she reopened my creative mind! Her class is easy if you apply yourself!

I have had no problems in this class. Study for your tests, participate, do the little work that you have, take notes and you will get an A! She is a great teacher and I really enjoyed her class, even late in the evening when I was tired and crabby after pilates class.

She is awesome!!! Was afraid to take this class, I thought it would bore me. But she was amazing definitely got my attention. Her lectures were great and she is very knowledgeable. Would take her again and I recommend her to anyone looking for an easy A. I got an A even before the semester ended and did not have to take final.

At first, I thought this teacher was really great. But then as the class went on, I realized she isn't all that. I emailed her about 5 different times and never heard back from her once. I went to her office hours to talk to her, and she wasn't there. I just like a teacher who I can communicate with. I think she grades kinda hard on certain stuff.

The lectures can be long, but she normally tries to break them up. She gives out pop quizzes, but normally warns you a class or two ahead. 4 exams, for which she provides excellent study guides. Also, everything in the exams is covered in class. Take good notes on her lectures, and it greatly lessens the need for the textbook. Overall, great class.

This was an easy class! Lectures were long but i learned alot. Give pop quizes but she will let you know ahead of time, LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT! Lots of notes. I made a B because i didnt study. She also answers emails very quickly, well within a day.

I took this class on Sunday's weird right? This teacher was my best so far! Very straight forward material, will answer any question and always let us leave class early even though she would always say she wasn't going to! Easy A class

I took a hybrid class that offered both lecture and art projects. It made the class so much more enjoyable and I really learned and had fun. Perez is enthusiastic and supportive and I ended up with a high A, but if you don't do the projects or study for the final, your grade could slip. I highly recommend.

I took this class on Sunday (hybrid course), you should take very good notes in her class because there is 1 open notes test,1 take home test,and 1 in-class test. 2 outside of class projects which seem really easy by how she grades it,2 easy critical essay. Let me just say, Prof. makes this class very simple for anyone to get A by doing work given.

This class was amazing. I enjoyed the learning experience from Mrs. Perez and If I could take her again for art history 2, I would in a heartbeat. You should take her too, because she'll show you what art history is really all about as well as make it less dull.

I had the pleasure of taking Art Survey II with her, and she makes class about as fun as it can possibly be. Regarding schoolwork: her tests are simple multiple choice, and you can look forward to doing a final group project. She is a very relaxed grader however, and gives multiple opportunities for extra credit. You can pass her class, no prob.

Professor Perez is an awesome Art teacher. Her lectures are very detailed and give you answers to most of the questions on the exams. As long as you take good notes, you might not have to buy a textbook. There are 3 exams during the semester, one was a take-home exam. Gives an entire grade's worth of extra credit. I'll definitely miss her class!

At 48 I'm beyond the years of most students. Ms. Perez helped me learn more about myself at an age when most people stop searching for enlightenment. She is a gift to academia and the Arts. TCC is fortunate to have her. This is not a result of the curriculum; the common denominator is the person teaching the material. Ms. Perez, Joy in learning.

Took her for art appreciation, she said to buy textbook and online code. Didn't use either. Tests are not hard if you show up and take notes. Extra Credit! Random group exercises and pop quizzes. if you need an "appreciation class" TAKE HER

I took a summer course with this Prof so your usual experience may be different. Be prepared to take lots of notes (maybe bring a recorder and take pictures of the slideshows). I took this course for the credit but overall was an amazing experience. Be mindful of group exercises, reading lots from your textbook, a lot of extra credit opportunity.

Mrs. Perez really knows her stuff. Ive never really been that interested in Art History because I thought it was like every other History class, but the way she teaches her class is awesome. You dont really need the textbook so she lists it as RECOMMENDED , everything you need is in the power point presentation, you just have to show up for them

Mrs. Perez is very passionate about art, which can be overwhelming if youre just taking this class for an art credit. Her knowledge and love of art made me care about my grade in the class. 96% of class days consist of taking notes and the rest are extra credit group assignments (super easy) and tests. The only HW she assigns is extra credit stuff

Ms. Perez was amazing, shes so passionate about art history so you cant help but listen to her during her lectures. if i ever take another art class, i would want her to be my teacher. there are some pop quizzes and group assignments but if missed, there is plenty of extra credit to make up for the missed grades. didn't use the textbook at all.

Professor Perez is not like most educators I have encountered. She is very entertaining and I enjoyed how she uniquely delivered her material to her class! Make sure to go to class because she is doesn't reply to emails nor does she upload any of the main lectures online. But, she literally gives you SO many extra credit opportunities. :)

She offers a ton of extra credit. If you have an unexcused absense and there is work thats passed out you will get a zero for that grade. She did offer a make up day but for only 1 group exercise and 1 missed quiz.

Mrs. Perez is a very kind professor. She cares about art and really teaches it. The lectures have the material for the quizzes and exams. The exams later on in the class escalate in level of difficulty. She teaches art history rather than just art appreciations so if you want to actually learn about art, she is the professor for you.

Prof. Perez was easy going and give plenty of chances for extra credit. The class is split in lecture and some daily activity. Miss class and you will not pass. If you just need the credit this is a good class to take. If Art History is your major this is also the class for you!

Perez is an awesome professor who makes her lectures both informative and interesting, her lectures can be heavy and require lots of note taking to pass the exams but as long as you show up and listen it's very easy! She gives lots of extra credit and is very easy going. Highly recommend for Art History 1303!

This class is easy as long as you show up and listen to her announcements. All her powerpoints are poster onlinewhich is what I used to make flashcards for the tests. One test is take home and some bought the book for it which is really not necessary. As long as you make good use of the powerpoints and stay updated with black board its easy.

Enjoyed class. Tests are based on study guide and did not need a book. Posts everything online and early. HOWEVER, I didnt attend as much as i should and my easy A turned into a B-. I barely got it. There are numerous group assignments and quizzes which accounts for most of your grade. Extra credit is given. Drops lowest test score.

I needed an elective credit and I am so grateful that I chose this class for second summer. Cramming 16 weeks of class into 5 weeks seems impossible, but professor Perez is amazing. Attendance is important, group activities are required, take notes during her lectures and visual knowledge of art is important. You will have no regrets.

Took Professor Perez for Art Appreciation, Art History, and Art History II. Class is easy if you study the review and pay attention in class. Her class has a good, easy to follow structure. By the time I was in Art History II, I didn't even have to take notes. If you just study the test review you can get a A easily. Over-explains a lot though :P

Tests are easy to study for only one big project which is easy.

Prof. Perez is by far my favorite professor I've ever had. If you're an art major like me, this class will definitely inspire a passion for art like nothing else. Tons of extra credit opportunities, & "pop" quizzes she warns about beforehand. She's easy to talk to and really cares about what she teaches. She also doesn't force you into group work.

Professor Perez was by far one of my favorite teachers. I took her Maymester course, so It is a lot to learn in a span of 2 weeks. She was so nice although the lectures were long, she made them tolerable. It was blended so half online half in person, so you have plenty of opportunities to get an A. Ask questions she will help!

I'm not too fond of art history, but Professor Perez made it very interesting! You can see how passionate she is about the subject, which helps her explain critical concepts to you. However, I highly recommend you do all the extra credit assignments as it adds up. Study the power points and take good notes during class lectures - and you'll pass!

Attendance is mandatory since not all of the content discussed in class can be found in the powerpoints posted online. She is super sweet as well and seems to truly care for the subject being taught!

I absolutely LOVED Ms. Perez's class. Her lectures are very interesting and you can feel her passion for art. There were 4 tests, 2 in person and 1 online and the 4th isn't necessary if you're happy with your grade. She give ample time to finish assignments and provides plenty of extra credit. Stay on top of quizzes and sketchnotes.

There isnt a lot of homework outside of class, if any, and anything not covered in the optional textbook isnt on the tests. Classwork is simple and easy to understand, and there isnt too much lecture as she does have other activites lined up. The only thing I didnt like was having to make art from AI using a description of real art as an assignment

Prof. Perez is the best professor ever. Her class is so easy, you honestly have to try and fail the class. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities that helped me get a 103% in the class, and you don't even have to take the final; it's only if you really need it. She just wants us to participate in activities and lectures.
