i found this class really boring. all we did was go over the textbook questions and answers every class. keep up with the reading and you'll get an A.

She is soooo nice. Her class was a lot of fun because i took the creative fashion class, and all we did were doing really fun projects. The class is very easy, but i didn't learn much though. I did have a lot of fun!

The class is a bit boring, watched videos after going over the chapter questions. The textbook is the main source of knowledge. Theres a midterm, 1 project, and the final. Pretty easy, you'll learn by reading the text and not by the professor...

EASY CLASS/TEACHER! All we did was read a chapter or two, review it in class, and watch a movie. There was a midterm, final, and one EASY project. TAKE HER CLASS!

Great Professor, she actually give real life experience and problems that one might encounter. SHe uses the book a LOT. Make sure you get the book. The exams and lectures are right from the book. THe project is easy once you put yur mind to it. Don't worry if you're taking her class~

This class was very interesting, and so is the prof being that she has tons of experience. But having read each chapter before coming to class, it seemed as though I wasn't learning much more by actually going to class. Still, it was an easy A and sometimes to fun.

By far the best professor I've ever had. She uses the book ALOT, but this helps with the midterm and final. She reviews everything that's going to be on the midterm and final. She knows her stuff and is an experienced buyer. I recommend her 100%.

This class is not as interesting as i thought. We used the new book by Elaine Stone. The book is horrible, it is not user friendly and extremely tough to read. The exams that come from the book by stone are also very tricky. YOU MUST READ the chapters to do well. Final was easy, i think it was Piazza's exam. She always is very helpful.

Piazza is really nice but her class is soo boring and she moves at such a slow pace it feels like your back in middle school!

Professor Piazza is a very nice woman and I wish I had her for a class other then the retail math class FM 121. However, she makes learning the retail math really easy, but it can sometimes be a little annoying to the more advanced math students b/c she moves kind of slow. However, she is really nice and willing to help. Easy A if you study.

She is very nice lady and teacher. I also have her for FM268 and she is very fair and responsible towards the students in both. For 114 she has great insights into the real world that can only come from a lot of experience and she takes the time to help students do well not only in class but in life. I wish I can be like her at 50+ :)

She is so nice! I missed a few classes due to family emergency, and she was very understanding. She is someone you can aspire to be like also, she has had a great career in fashion. I plan to take her for any classes I can! This class is hard because you work in teams. If you have a problem with someone, she will listen and understand!

She is an understanding teacher and truly cares about each of her students as long as they put in the effort. She shares a lot of industry stories about when she was a buyer. Additionally, she throughly goes over what will be on each exam and carefully goes over each homework problem. Overall, I highly recommend her as a professor.

There is a lot of work with this class, you have to read about 60 pages every week and do the questions at the end of each chapter and a 8 page paper at the end of the semester, but she tells a lot of stories from when she worked in the industry that are helpful to hear about and she is really nice. If you do the work you won't have a problem.

Easy class. She never checks homework. Gives you pretty much all the answers before the midterm and final. Recommended

Intro to Fashion. She is very easy I highly recommend this class for passing. She has also been in the industry herself. She's annoying and texts while working. The class is solely based on reading each chapter doing the study questions each week and going over it in class. I never did the questions. Midterm and final cake walk. One 8-10 pg paper.

I took a winter class and she has to be one of the best proffesors by far. Learned so much from her in such a short period of time. YES,you have to put your effort in reading and homework but she wants you to succede and would help you in any way to get you the best grade.

Professor was extremely helpful during class and helped catch the class up when our Professor changed randomly. Textbook wasn't used too much, her midterm and final review helped a lot to prepare for the test. Class and projects help prepare for real world and were interesting. The term project was a lot of work, but not as difficult as it looked.

It's impossible to get lower than a B in her class. Midterm, final, 8-10pg term paper at the end of the semester. No hw (she doesn't check). BUT you need to read the textbook chapters each week to do well on the midterm & final exams. She also reviews what will be on the exam a week before, which is extremely helpful. Somewhat boring class though.

She is such a sweet and helpful women. She is very knowledgeable about the industry and really tries to get to know her students. She does no overload you with work but it is important to read the textbook. She does a really good review before the mid term and final and you have one term paper which is very reasonable.

She is one of the nicest professors I've had at FIT. She has so much experience and she shares as much as advice with you as she can. Working in teams every class sometimes the exercises we had were childish but when it came down to team projects they are a lot of work. However she tries to make the class have fun with them

She's a great teacher! tests are super easy, and she gives little homework. Highly suggest.

Favorite class

Be sure to read and do all assignments even though homework isn't checked in. Midterm and final review is EXTREMELY helpful. Just study that and you'll get an A. 1 term paper is 8-10 pages on your dream career. Fairly easy. Easy A and grader but keeps you for the whole time so fairly boring class because she elaborates so much. Nice lady.

Piazza was great, she motivated you to stay on task with study questions, even though she didn't check them because the class reads their own answers every class. Topics were not boring, term paper was not dreadful, and midterm and final was fairly easy if you did the study questions and went to the review class. Important to participate!

Really nice and helpful, took her in my 3rd and 4th semesters. Straightforward and makes everything clear. the work is challenging but not too hard. A few in class group projects, and one huge take home merchandising project which was really fun if you dont leave it for last minute. Midterm and final multi choice test only.

She's well-spoken, a good grader and her classroom environment is very laid back. I would highly recommend.

Professor Piazza is such a sweet and fashionable woman! We go through 20 chapters, but she makes it easier with her awesome reviews. We had easy homework, midterm, final, and one term paper about your dream career which I really enjoyed writing. The book is mandatory, try to rent it as its expensive. Shes very helpful and nice, take her!

At first I was hesitant about this professor but turned out to be extremely easy. She makes you buy the workbooks because they are used for homework assignments and at the beginning of every class you have to hand in a journal, don't worry you can b.s. them. She is extremely sweet and listens to what everyone has to say. Take her, its an easy A!

This is an intro class, so if you're at FIT the content will hopefully be easy for you. Professor Piazza is so kind, and she'll always explain something if you don't get it the first time. I have her for Retail Management in my second semester, which I'm very happy about. Her career at JCPenny gives her a lot of insight into the industry.

Take her! She is super sweet & is so easy. Gives a group project due mid semester, so its not so stressful at the end! Project was easy, & she gave class time to work on it- never had to meet outside class. Pretty sure she gave everyone in the class an A. Gives midterm & final & basically tells us the answers ahead of time. DO NOT buy the textbook!

I took her fashion forecasting class at the Kent State NYC studio and she was so resourceful and helpful to me. She gave me many connections and gave me real world advice and inspired me. One of my fav professors ever.

Professor Piazza is extremely kind and easygoing. She is so sweet and helps you when you need it. Her class is fairly easy and gives you all the information you need for the midterm/final and reviews everything with the class. She goes through the powerpoint way too quick though, so pay attention! Very easy grader!

One of my favorite teachers, Piazza is super nice and uses examples from her experience in the industry to further explain what was being discussed in class. Homework is to answer a few questions from the textbook and she would go over it the next week in class.

Great professor, but everything is a group project. There workbooks for in class assignments and you have to present on them but it's not too bad. 2 groups projects and a pretty easy midterm if you study a little bit. Definitely recommend.

If you do not like this class, chances are you should switch your major because this professor gives you the foundation of FBM. Her reviews are the best and she basically flat out tells you what to expect for Midterm/Final.

She's the best professor i've had yet. One of the few that can actually manage the three hours. When she lectures, it's not for long and she's straight to the point. She's sweet, informative and has lots of experience. The class is pretty easy and her course load is light. Great professor, really recommend her.

Professor Piazza was incredibly nice and helpful, however, the course itself was painful. It was incredibly boring and somewhat useless, in my opinion. Regardless, there are two group projects with the same group through the semester and she is very fair in grading them. Some journals and a midterm too. She is very particular about attendance.

TAKE HER! It is a really easy class. There are 2 projects and a midterm. She does a review for the midterm that is really helpful. Homework is a weekly 1 page double spaced journal. The workbooks are EXTREMELY expensive and kind of stupid but you actually need them for in class activities and to study for the midterm. She is really understanding.

She's really nice and the class is super easy, just keep up on your journals and do well on the projects and you'll get an A.

I had Professor Piazza last semester as well as this semester and she is an amazing teacher! She has a lot of industry experience that she relates to material and she wants you to pass. Pay attention during the midterm/final review because she tells you all you need to know!

The course itself is a drag but Piazza is the professor you want to take if you want this course to be super simple. 90% of the class includes you working on the workbooks with your group. The rest consists of a quick lecture with minimal participation needed. Piazza makes expectations clear and stays on top of grading. Responds to emails well.

She is super chill in this course. You'll have weekly journals that are one page but that's not hard at all. She assigns two group projects that aren't that difficult. Grades very leniently. Definitely recommend her for this class.

God, I hate this class it's so unnecessary but it's an easy one. Just do your workbooks and the weekly journals and you'll be fine! The group projects are super easy and she grades easy as well. She has a lot of experience and is good about not being super braggy like some profs which is nice!!

The class environment was great and I felt so comfortable around everyone. You're assigned a group you have to work with the entire semester. You have 2 group projects - one 10 mins long and the other 20 mins. The projects were so much fun to work on and allowed you to show your creativity and thoughts on diff topics. Weekly journals and workbooks.

This class is based around group projects. You have to buy the set of handbooks which is like $150 and its mandatory. She only gave one tests the whole semester and it was multiple choice. She is so sweet!

Prof Piazza is very nice and also very accommodating. Took her over summer semester and there were 2 assignments, midterm, final, and term paper. Assignments were pretty easy to follow and she is more than willing to help and answer your questions!! Term paper was long (her example is 25-30 pages) but easy to work through. Overall great professor.

Such an easy class! Group projects are used to teach the material throughout the course. I loved this because the class really got to know each other and became comfortable giving honest constructive criticism! The tests are super easy and multiple choice. She's very caring and was always available to help students struggling with projects!

She is so kind and an easy grader, and it would be easy to get A in her class. FM268 will be with your team and several workbooks during the whole semester. I don't remember the exact things, but here's her big grading area: two team projects, exams, and attendance. Do not miss the opportunity to taker her class!

Easy A and an easy grader. She let us do all the projects in groups which was nice but i didnt feel like i learned as much as I could have. Short and quick lectures since there are a lot of group projects so they take up most class time. Shes really sweet and talks a lot about potential futures with what we learn which is great. Recommend!

Prof. Piazza is great. She shares her interesting industry experience and applies it to the material in order to help us understand it better. Good balance between lectures and time to work on group projects - which are fun - and she is a lenient grader since she actually cares about our comprehension and providing feedback instead of nitpicking.

Took her for FM 223 and the class was easy. This is my second class with her and she's very go with the flow. She accepts late work and lets class out early. Sometimes she's a little vague, so ask questions! She really is nice. The assignments were 4 tumblr blogs, and 4 bigger projects. Final project is in a group. No tests or textbooks.

She is very nice and wants to see everyone succeed. The class is very presentation heavy but she is an easy grader. Tests were easy and straightforward as well. She would end class early most days or give us a good amount of class time to work on our presentations.

My favourite class and prof this semester. Very interesting coursework and projects were very fun if you enjoy group work. Flexible with attendance (when you're not presenting), but never wanted to miss her class because of how good it was.

solid professor. good industry knowledge and took us on a bunch of fun field trips. assignments are often unclear and she has to go over them multiple times with the class in order for them to be understood.

took her for fm 228, take piazza if you can! the most inspirational professor who is extremely knowledgeable in the industry. she often helps with internship or job hunts, too. no exams, just 5-6 presentations which are all so fun and nothing feels like work. many field trips and hands on stuff! such a respected professor and everyone loved her.

Prof. Piazza was my favorite professor this semester. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time on the assignments, but most of them are in groups which makes it easier. Everyone I talked to got a 100% on every project. You'd have to TRY to get anything less than an A in this class. Just do the work and it's an easy A. Definitely take her class.

prof. piazza is super sweet! grading is based only on 4 big projects (2 solo and 2 in groups) and she is very clear about the instructions. she lets you take notes on the computer and talks a lot about her personal experiences in the industry.

Prof Piazza, is an awesome professor. There are no tests or midterms. For our class there was 3 projects for the semester. 1 paper (5 pages) and slides, take photos of Spring 2024 trends in stores (I found it a lot), and a group project. Overall a great professor and she gave me 100's on everything even if I made a few mistakes.

This was my second time taking Piazza. She's my fav professor at FIT. If you show up and turn in the assignments on time you WILL get a 100%. The projects are a little time consuming, but she's an extremely easy grader. She also knows a lot about the industry and will help you find internships/jobs if you send her your resume and interests.
