Does many examples and explains material well. Test are on what she teaches. Takes roll and gives pop quizzes. Must go to class. I recommend her.
Went to class, but didnt pick up anything usefull for the test. She is hard, I recommend checking who else is teaching before you sign up.
She explains problems very clearly and step-by-step. She made the material very easy to understand. She is a stern teacher who sticks to the rules, but she teaches very well.
GREAT TEACHER IF YOU ARE WILLING TO LEARN...NOT REALLY A PEOPLE PERSON THOUGH
I admire her intelligence, no doubt she is incredibly smart but she flies through so fast that it gives you no time to comprehend what is going on. Unless you have good study skills and are self discipline enough to do homework everynight, do not take her class!!!!!!
TERRIBLE!!! She flies through lectures and you can barely write it down, much less understand. Hard exams - NO PARTIAL CREDIT - all or nothing. I went to her office for her and she made me feel stupid. TAKE MARTIN!!! She's awesome and easy to understand and willing to help!!
She is everything you will need for Calculus. Take her to have a challenge and to learn something. Follow her rules to the letter. She will throw you out without a second thought and destroy your grade if you don?t follow them

Challenging class but extremely fair and knowledgable professor. Explains things very well. DON"T BE LATE FOR HER CLASS!!!!

Terrible! Dont take unless you have to!
She is a good teacher who knows what she's talking about and she does take things step by step, but she moves on rather quickly. Every class we learned something new and I was already behind, and it's hard to catch back up. She is willing to help you, but you have to ask for the help. My advice is to come willing to learn and be ready to work!
Excellent professor who knows the material very well. She works plenty of examples, but moves very fast. Pay attention, do your homework, and it'll be a good class. Don't skip any classes, or you'll get behind. Highly reccommended. She'll teach you what you need to know.
I had to drop the class because every single test was impossible. I made an F on them. DON'T TAKE HER! You'll thank me later.
This class is NOT easy. Suzanne Seeber is a great prof., but in order to pass you must pay attention and study some. If you work a bit, this class should be cake.
She knows what she's talking about but she grades hard and strict. I loved math and was really good at it but I did not like this class at all!!
She grades very strictly. Definately come to every class, because she may curve at the end. She goes relatively slow, and has pop quizes every week. Her tests covers the most basic questions from homework. The final was all multiple choice..and very tricky
She is a very good teacher! probably one of the best i've had here. She goes fairl slow and lets you ask questions as she is teaching, just incase you don't understand. She give homework, but you only do it if you need to. It was a great class.
Seeber is extremely strict and will go psycho if you: come in late, sleep, ask a question when you're not supposed to, ect. She knows what shes talking about and is thorough, but she flies through the material. Gives pop quizzes. Do not slack off in this class!!!
WARNING - this teacher will call you out if you show up late, break any rules (from syllabus) or ask any question she deems as dumb. She will emasculate and belittle you if you don't obey the laws of her class. If you want a good grade in her class, show up on time and keep your mouth shut. She needs a hug :)
I had her for Trig. You'll do fine unless you have a lot to do in other classes. She assigns tons of homework every class and if you don't do it, you're pretty much screwed because she gives pop quizzes and you'll have no clue what you're doing. Don't miss a single class, if she gives you a pop quiz and you miss class, you can't make it up.
HORRIBLE teacher! I've always been a B Math person and now find myself struggling to pull a C in this class..She doesn't like to help you understand math. She flies thru the material and will talk nonstop from the beginning to end of class. Pop quizzes like every other class. Online homework constantly. She's a big stickler for the rules
She know her math, but she teaches too fast. Her test are extremely hard she gives no partial credit, it's all or nothing and there is a quiz all most every class.
Likes to give you the evil eye if you talk, have even a water bottle in site, ask dumb questions, leave early, go to bathroom. If you do ANY of the following she will HATE you. You need your book and notes daily. HW and quizes every day of class. She is a good teacher but really fast. Assignments and tests are on computer learning system.
you actually "learn" the material in class.she gives pop quizzes, but they are very easy.has good bit of hw but doesnt take long & can keep redoing til all are right on it.she does things to help you drop lowest grades at end of yr too.DONT show up late, talk, sleep,.no cellphone. explains everything step by step so you get it.i liked her a lot.
Knows her stuff, but moves quick. She likes to start a topic, then in the middle move onto another, and then another etc., and then come back to the original. Gives the evil to anyone who does anything against the rules or asks a question that she doesn't like. She is horrible. Tests are hard!Don't take her. Take Dr. B Strunk.
Seeber is a wonderful teacher, if you come to class n listen! u will make an A, but u must do ur homework, seeber teaches the material but it is up to the student to learn, dont blame the teacher for ur bad grade! u got that grade because u didnt try, trig is a breeze!! super easy!! i wud do chk pts once n make A's on test!!
She is a horrible teacher. I loved math and she made me want to hate it. She doesn't teach well; all she does is work out math problems on the board. That hardly ever helps. First two test are easy enough to understand on your own and teach yourself on HAWKES. Be prepared to attend class every time because she doesn't stop teaching. Don't take!
Dr. Seeber moves extremely fast and will only help you if you have minimal questions.
She certainly teaches the material, and that's all she does. She has a very standoff-ish attitude towards relating to the student. If she recieves an attitude not submissive to her own then she becomes defensive. If you can listen and learn through self problem solving skills then she's the professor for you.
DO NOT TAKE SEEBER FOR STATISTICS. It's not that she's an awful teacher, but she makes you feel like an idiot if you ask a question. Makes math even more boring than it already is. Also, don't bring food/drinks to class OR fall asleep because she WILL kick you out.
I really liked Mrs. Seeber. She is VERY strict, but seriously we are college students so shouldn't be doing anything to get in trouble. She does move fast but I like her teaching style. I AM taking her again in the fall for statistics. I highly recommend her. But be careful on her test. Once you make a mistake you won't get credit for it.
I have her for Pre-Calc currently. Knows her stuff - however she makes no effort to emotionally or socially connect with any student. A stickler in every sense of the word, the quizzes she gives daily are on the PREVIOUS CLASS'S LESSON. If being a teacher only required "knowing your stuff", then she gets a 10, but it takes more. 6 for rigidity!
She moves quickly, but she will stop to answer questions. The homework was easy and so were her quizzes.
As long as you pay attention and turn your phone off before class, she's fantastic. She's definanatly not out to kill you and she honestly cares about her job. I made an 96 A. (She does move quickly though. If you have questions its better to jot them down and see her in her office after class. - if you dont understand a concept-)
she is very strict when grading. she will help you if you go to hr office hours. she gets no emotional contact with the student and has trouble making eye contact. other than that she is pretty easy if you go to class and take it seriously.
A great teacher. It's extremely hard to fall asleep because you will be afraid to miss something. She explains everything, but she os boring. She gives quizzes almost every class on the previous class lecture.
She is very intelligent. However moves very fast. Very cold. Have seen her refuse doctor excuses. Will not reply to email. Very detached.
Very good teacher!! She made the material understandable, she knew what she was talking about! She taught everything needed to know for homework, quizzes, and tests!
She is very clear with her work. You do use the material online to complete homework and test. She is not easy but not hard either. She acts like a robot and shows no expression to anything. Overall great teacher but not friendly!
All homework is online, all quizzes & tests are in class. Class is mandatory because she always counts attendance. She is like a robot. Never used the book just needed the online code. Tests are hard if you don't study and quizzes are random.
She explains everything well. quizzes every week. i took her for both pre cal and college algebra, both were taught the same. she's rude and boring but i received an A
If you study for the tests they aren't bad. She is very rude and not very open to helping outside of class unless your schedule works with hers, but in class she will explain everything thoroughly. Quizzes are random in class, homework is online with multiple assignments per week, and she gives 4 tests per semester.
She gives quizzes maybe once every other week. They're only worth about 5 points and they're easy so they help your grade. Didn't use the textbook but you have to have mystatlab. The homework is easy and you get as many tries as you like so unless you just don't do it, you'll have a 100 on homework. tests aren't too hard. just listen in class
Looove Mrs. Seeber. She makes math clear and easy to understand. However you MUST be in class EVERY class, or you will be lost for the rest of the semester.
She a good teacher and she definately knows what she is talking about. She gives around 1-2 random quizzes each week which if you aren't prepared for you'll fail. Very tough grader. Even though you get right answer for a question, she'll find a way to take points off. Other than that, she's a nice person. Just get on her good side
To me, she was perfectly clear and made my understand this statistics class perfectly. She's very strict on drinks and food though. Can't even have water.
Shes teaches in an understandable way, slow and clearly. She is very involved and wants to make sure all of us pass, so shes always willing to offer help. Loooove Mrs. Seeber and will definitely take her for Math 1031.
She is an extremely good teacher, but is strict. She hates it if you are late. Never be late. She gives random quizzes but they are usually short. Her test are just like the homework and that is all you need to study.
Wouldn't recommend.
Expect assignments every night, there is no extra credit! If it isn't her way then expect to fail. teaching style is bland , and do not be late!
I took Seeber for statistics. She explains everything clearly and teaches you everything you need to know for each test. Honestly if you have a choice, take Seeber for statistics! I've helped people who had other professors and Seeber is by far the best choice! No matter what anyone else tells you, she's the best statistics teacher at ULM.
Very dry voice and sense of humor but the lecture is very straight forward. She will answer any question you bring her from the homework. Just be diligent and don't fall behind on the homework and it's easy to pass.
Seeber was an excellent math professor... Honestly, she is probably one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She has a bad rep, but at the end of the day if you come to class and do your homework, you'll be just fine! She's always willing to spend time in class for homework questions and if you need extra time will see you during office hours!
She is very intelligent.
Even though I'm an international student, I was perfectly fine in her class. Her lectures are always clear and brilliantly explained. Some might complain about the assignment pressure, but I felt that only an hour of time for her course per day would make you in good shape. Keep up with her class and you will do great! Best teacher in Maths in ULM.
Only for Students who wants to learn.
I also took her for Math 1011, and she is the best math teacher at ULM. She explains things well, and you're guaranteed an A if you show up to class and pay attention. If you know how to do the homework, you know how to do the tests. Don't be intimated by her, she is really nice and always willing to help. I would definitely take her again.
really good at breaking down the material. She gives lots of examples and is always willing to answer homework questions in class. She may seem intimidating but as long as you pay attention and go to class you will easily understand the material presented. Expect at least one quiz a week but those are very easy. Definitely taking her for Math 1031!
I have mixed feelings on Seeber. One one hand, I learned the material better than any math teacher before. On the other hand, she's the toughest grader I've ever come across, and the material was utterly frustrating at times. She often seemed cold and unapproachable, and I would (rightfully so) be scared to ask a question in class.
I would take anyone but her.
Best professor in maths department
Such an amazing teacher, I really did learn a lot in her class. I'm happy I was "stuck" with taking her for Calculus
LOVE LOVE LOVE Ms. Seeber. Everything she says makes total sense. She is a no-nonsense teacher, but you learn so much. Make sure to go to class and do assignments on time!
She is a very organized professor. Her lectures are amazing, and she knows what she is doing. Do your homework regularly. Follow everything what she wants. If you miss to do so, you will lose points for not following her. Her tests are easy if you do your homework by yourself. Check your work during test. Just follow what she wants. Come to class.
She is crystal clear about what she teaches. Do your homework(20-30 mins) regularly, you can do all the pop-up quizzes. Do homework and be attentive to class easy A.
There's online homework roughly every other day. She gives pop quizzes that are pretty rough so you better be going over your notes on a nightly basis. Her tests usually destroyed everyone but they're very similar to the online review. She seems cold and everyone was always afraid to ask questions. She offers help but when you go to her she's rude.
This was my first class with Ms. Seeber, but it didn't take me long to fall in LOVE with her class! Yes, you have to do your homework, she gives pop quizzes, and she can be a tough grader, but she give amazing lectures and is super clear on what she wants and expects. She was always willing to answer questions and help students out when needed.
Dropped her since I made 2 D's in a row. Regardless, they would've been F's if the lectures hadn't been so good. Great explanations, relevant to tests and homework, THOROUGH. I'm retaking the class, so fingers crossed that when my section's instructor is announced it's her. Hopefully I won't fall behind this time (thanks 17 credit hours)
Seeber quickly covers 2-3 lessons in one class and did not help me much while I was struggling.
Great professor! She is very strait forward and professional. However, she is very adamant on rules. Don't being food or drinks, and if she comes in with a stack of papers and doesn't call roll at the beginning of class, beware of a pop quiz!
Dont expect her to answer your emails... ever.
she was strict, but I liked her. good at explaining things. she gives quizzes almost every other class period, so be ready for them and show up. attendance is graded. lots of hw, but that's just math. if you paid attention, the tests are relatively easy to pass.
This class I almost never had to worry about bc during lectures she'd explain so well. I took her twice a week so when I did her online hw I would have to look at my notebook to jog my memory, but that was it. It's as if her class was easy, but it wasn't she's just good. She does lots of examples and is neat. Very strict w phones and talking.
I decided to take her even though I was told not to. I have always been good at math so I did not think she would be that difficult for me. Boy was I wrong. Even though I was struggling, she would not help me outside of class. She takes points off for the smallest errors on her tests which made it in impossible to do well.
Made COVID 19 even worse. Made going to online learning so difficult. Quizzes pretty much every class period even during corona. Tests were so hard. Hardest grader and when asked for help told me to go back over homework examples. You will be spending hours and hours studying. She had no consideration for the situation we were put in. RUN!
Considering the fact that we recently transitioned to an online class, Ms. Seeber was not student-friendly at all. She made learning online more difficult and didnt make grading any easier either. During spring break, she expected us to watch the videos she had posted online and cover some topics even though we didnt have classes.
Imagine a teacher who's the most un-approachable person on the planet, who grades harder then senior level classes, and actively makes you feel like you should've just attended another institution. Seriously recommend any other teacher then this one. The ULM math department as a whole are pretty notorious but this one is on a whole new level. GL.
If you take Seeber, you have to put in a lot of work. She covers a lot in one class. Be sure algebra II, trig, and geometry are fresh on your mind. Lots of homework (all graded on mymathlab). If she takes attendance, yall are having a quiz. No extra credit. No late assignments. Her way or the highway.
Ms Seeber is intimidating, but she's one of my favorite professors, and def my favorite math professor. She explains things very clearly and includes visuals whenever possible. Biggest thing that will help you is going to class every day and taking good notes! She talks fast and packs a lot of new material in each day. Pop quizzes given frequently!
Took Seeber for calc 2. BY FAR hardest class I have ever taken. Her classes are difficult. But, she is a great lecture teacher. I actually learned in her class even though its fast-paced. Wish she was less strict and answered emails. If you don't want to put in work for her class why tf are you in college? ITS MATH... it is supposed to be hard.
She is great at lecturing, but she grades like a tyrant. For test, you have to show every step and do it her way or she will count off for it. It is almost impossible to get a 100 on exams but you can still get As as long as you understand the material. While she is hard to approach, she will answer any question during class.
She is a very tough grader on tests and makes sure you know what you are writing about. Very rare that she gives 100%. She gives out pop quizzes, so review notes to make sure you are on top of what might be on there, but she is very respected due to her knowledge and how she can give many examples and explains it pretty well.
Do not take if you struggle in math. If you're just trying to get your credit don't take. Her tests are all two or three parts long with a limited time of 50 minutes min. Don't not recommended at all.
she is mean, you never see her smile in her class. one of my classmates had an emergency travel and she ask her if she can take the exam before or after the exam date but she refused to let her. Although the dean office had to get in and let her take the exam in different day. you don't t get second chance in her class is either fail or pass.
