she didn't teach much in class. I didn't learn anything significant. But it was an easy 'A' She wants all her students to do well and she will take the time to help you even if it means taking an hour to explain everything to you.

a little hard to stay awake, but she does go over the texts in detail.

I had this professor a few semesters ago and she was great. She was very nice, clear, and helpful. She made the work interesting too.

Three courses in one,encompassing Globalization, Terrorism and Afghanistan,and Sociological Aspects of Sex & Gender. Professor manages to tie all three together and makes this a great learning experience.

Absolutely Amazing and Sweeter than chocolate. The best teacher I had thus far. her voice might put you to sleep. she's very fair if you put in the effort (which is reading at least half the books and write clearly on her tests) then you should have no problem getting an A.

She is very easy. Anything that is important, she repeats 100 times. As long as you show up, its hard not to do well.

her class is so boring. I did though learn a great deal but i just hate the fact that she drill too much on the words and the grammar you get so much points off from exams. I didn't do well b/c of that. She's alright but at times can suprise u with your grade. I don't like her

she is a very nice person, and helps if you need. I agree her grades can be surprising, not an easy A but the class is easy. I am saying it seems like you are getting an A but you don't. Writting is very imoprtant to her,and she has these annoying group projects. Otherwise she is very informative but like to repeat the samr thing.

She is a great teacher if you want to learn about the subject. She is very helpful if you have trouble writing. You don't have to buy her books if you take good notes you won't have a problem passing her tests. She is a pain about grammer but she is great. If you get to know her she'll know who you are and will never forget your name.

I found her class to be very interesting. A lot of notes to take though. She doesn't overwork you, but make sure you pay attention and respond on her tests from her lectures. Nice professor and she knows her topics. I would recommend.

i thought she was amazing!!! she gives out 5 essays that are either done at home or during class which reflect on her lectures mostly. she gives u the questions and answers in advance so i dont get y ppl are doing poorly!!! u dont really need the textbooks bc she gives u a thorough summary during class. just pay attention and take a lot of notes.

I took her for the winter course, I dont know how her class is during the semester but her tests were all essays... one quiz, midterm, and final. She is very big on writing, I got a A, and she is really nice.

Its about time QC gets with a program,with mini semester.This Prof is well worth taking.Not easy if you cannot write,one quiz,one midterm,final all essay.Material convered interesing and extensive.Pay attention,make sure she knows your name,read the material,patricpate. I got an A!

Pretty easy, you don't need to read much. She explains exactly what she wants to read in her essay assignments, and she repeats a lot of things, so just take good notes and you'll be fine.

this the 2nd time im taking her and i think shes awesome. im planning on taking the other classes that shes teaching too. she gives u the answers and the questions before hand so its really easy. as long as u know how to write and and elaborate on things ull do fine. all her tests are essays so if u dont like essays dont take her. she repeats a lot

She is fair. She talks alot, and practically gives u the answers for the essay exams. If you take decent notes, you'll walk away with a "B"

If your a Soc major you have to take this professor.Everything learned is reinforced and spoken about more than once.Tests are essays and if you know how to write and take decent notes you will EXCEL.Best taught class is 222.She's teaching theory next semester and if you haven't had it or her,enroll,clarity will be crystal clear.The best prof!

Prof. Strickland is a very good professor. She is very smart and she has great clarity. You will learn in her class. She is lenient but you most try hard because she is honest and wants to help you to succeed. Please try to write well and read all of your books.

very helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant, and down to earth. she spends a lot of time on terrorism and will give you a new perspective on that problem. 3 essay tests so make sure your writing is up to par. annoyed me that she says 'nukular' instead of nuclear but other than that, she's great

She gave us the essay questions before the final,went over everything and suggested we make outlines so we'd be prepared.If you read,paid attention in class and participated then YEAH she likes you DUH!Just because a student THINKS s/he is a good writer doesn't mean it's true. Be honest did you really work hard or just expect to coast to an easy A?

Lectures and videos provided useful information for exam material. Professor was clear while lecturing class. However, professor is strict grader! She does want best interest and is available outside of class for any help! Highly recommended, but you must put forth a lot of writing and reading effort into class!

I love when reviewers skewer a teacher b/c she expects you to attend class, read and, God forbid, know how to write. She is a nice lady that ALWAYS suggests to students that have trouble writing that they can get help and tells them where to go get it. This is college - grow up if you can't handle a teacher that wants you to learn.

She is a good teacher, i would take her again. wasn't a tough grader but still pretty picky. She plays a video for half the semester which is pointless, so it depends on how you take it.

I love this professor! She is very intelligent and involved in her field. Your grade is based off of essays, so you must know how to write. If you're struggling, she will help you and point you in the right direction. She discusses what should be in the essay in class. I recommend her.

Ok so heres the deal, people who got C's on their essays didn't write a good essay. Take the question she gives you, and break it down into around 3-5 separate questions. Now answer it and add an intro and conclusion. Its honestly not that hard. I loved the professor, and the course even though prior to this class i had no interest at all!

she is a wonderful teacher and I loved her class however I didn't do so well on her essays she is very tough when it comes to grading but go to the writing center they are a big help

She is a very intelligent professor, and can be really inspirational. I found her lectures to be fascinating, although she does repeat herself at times. You must be a proficient writer to earn a good grade in her class.. so if you have problems with essays, work on that first. Take her if you want to learn.

She was really nice when I had to set up my teaching assistant position the only thing was had to constantly email her because she forgot to follow up about it during winter recess. You have to follow up with her if you are serious about being a teachers assistant for a semester.

She was pretty disorganized. As long as you hand in the two big projects she gives you, youll be fine. Tests were kind of hard but if you just listen to her, you'll be fine. Watched a lot of documentaries and she went off course a lot. Easy A if you show up and do some work.

Shes is a great professor! Gives quiz's every other week. There is one 15-20 research on peer reviewed journals and use those journals on (lets say for me - Domestic Violence). Get everything in on time and participate in class and you will do well! Shes is nice and organizes her work on power point slides. Got a C+ but satisfied due to the class.

I learned a lot in this course. We read 3 books and discussed how the authors and their work contribute to social welfare. She gives 2-3 papers based on the reading and gives great feedback. If you do your best she will give you her best.

The first paper wasn't given back in a timely matter before we started the second paper. I could have received a better grade on all of my papers if the website we used worked out for the class better. Sometimes I couldn't figure out what she wanted in the paper. But I at least passed her class so I'm not mad at my grade.
