Watchout - does not even provide a schedule for the class. She does not know her own schedule, or holidays. Does not reply to emails. Does not remember your name or schedule or know anyone in the class. Does not care to meet anyone in the class or know them by name. Does not know how to answer common questions about the class.
Very knowledgable. Very helpful in class.
She is one of the awesome instructor I have ever had. She always I mean always answer my questions. She do a lot of the pair activities which helped me a lot and was the best part in this course.
I like that this class is very hands on. Everything was good so far there was nothing to dislike. Good thing about instructor she helps you a lot.
Terrible. Hard to understand.
She's nice but her class was all over the place. The class I took with her was a hybrid class. We had to do a lot of presentations & sometimes they weren't planned. 1 quiz w/ 25 questions & homework assignment per week. Sometimes the quiz answers that seem correct are marked wrong. However the midterm was open book & final was too w/ open internet.
She's nice after taking this class I feel I gained several of knowledge on how to work Microsoft Excel, create webpages, bytes, how binary codes work, databases and several of other little detailed information that is important to know about computers in the future. We also visited another class that was my best experience.
Probably the worst computer science teacher I have ever taken I had a 100% on every single assignment but the final was worth the majority of your grade that's why i didn't get the grade i wanted.
Continuing my education in computer science, I've realized how much her class was missing. There are conventions like magic numbers, commenting and white space that she doesn't emphasize/teach well that are CRUCIAL if you ever want to do ANYTHING in this field. You'll think you understand everything, but what she leaves out will hurt you later.
Syeda works hard to help students. Those handouts helped me a lot to get good grades in her class. She is really nice.
Awesome instructor!!!!!!
She makes programming so easy and put extra effort to teach us the concepts. Best instructor will recommend!!!
Syeda is very hard working I just love to be in her class. Prompt to classes always prepared for lectures and answer's every question. Gives extra time for assignments when you tell her problem she understands. Will take her class again!!
Syeda is really and inspirational instructor I have ever had. She goes extra miles to help you understand programming. I want to say she can go way to far in programming and should go in industry rather then teaching at HCC. Love to be in her class
She knows the material, but knowing how to teach the material is a different story. Course wasn't very organized and I don't think she can read the students very well. Even though it's a bit obvious people in class were confused she would just keep moving forward. She was just getting her job done vs actually teaching students. Very dissapointed.
ESL. It is hard to understand her lectures (which are her reading from a ppt). I think she knows the material? but she doesn't understand how to teach it. Java 1 means all students are NEW to Java, but she teaches like we have all been coding for years.
Amazing computer science instructor+ adviser. She is available outside of class and best thing was instant e mail response.
Worst teacher ever. The teacher was extremely disorganised on canvas, and she rarely showed up to her office hours. The majority of our grade was decided based on a midterm that we weren't told about, and I nearly failed the class because I got 50% on it, and almost 100% on everything else. She also lied to me about having another mid term.
Syeda is an awsome instructor. She started class with chapter 08 which was really helpful in revision. There were so much that we left in 142 in chapter 08. She makes the class materiel easy to understand 10/10 to this instructor.
Do not take this teacher. Out of all my computer science teachers she is the worst. She tells you what to do, and just sits in front of her computer. She wont answer your questions. She doesn't explain concepts or important concepts in java. Her work is all over the place. Don't lower your gpa with a horrible teacher such as her. AVOID AT ALL COST
Shes very thorough. Sometimes just reading the notes is confusing, but she breaks the concepts down really well in her lectures. She was very good at code and is able to answer questions when needed.
She would answer any question at the beginning of class. she worked on Eclipse to show us what we could do. Best part is she answered emails very quickly when I had a question. Class handouts were a lot helpful and the videos posted on canvas.
She really wanted us to do well and learn the material. Always asking if we had questions, or if the course was going too slow, or fast.
Starting to think either Syeda or someone else is writing fake reviews for this instructor in order to make this person look better than they really are at teaching. I repeat do not take this professor until they fix this. You can't have 75% of your class dropped by the end of the quarter and think it's being even taught decent. Does not add up.
She is okay, the class itself is very easy and pretty self-explanatory. The textbook is frequently used, but if you have a chance to take the online class, do it.
Excellent Instructor!
Every lecture was amazing. Java II is really hard she will provide you so many practice questions and make you work for it. Every class was amazing.
Though class was very easy and I will recommend go for online class if possible. Canvas was so well organized she was always there when you need help. Quick replies of my emails. Clear grading criteria.
Not going to speak to the other reviews here, but I wouldn't retake this teacher for any class. In the beginning, the class was well-structured and an easy A, but then she disappeared for two weeks and didn't talk to us at all or respond to emails quickly. She also made the final hard and unrelated to what she taught.
Class was really tough you have to work really hard. Syeda gave us the handout that helped a lot. I hate pair programming in this class.
It was an easy class for me. I would say go for online if you get a chance. Everything was organized on canvas. I am taking her again for Java I.
Java II is really tough Ms Syeda provide so much resources and handouts. Her lectures are amazing. Assignments are way difficult but midterm and final is what you practice in class.
Ms Syeda is the best instructor I ever had. She always reply to my emails even in the evening.
She never really taught her online class very well and expected you to understand every concept. I literally learned how to program and from the book instead of getting any help from her. She graded extremely harshly as if this was my profession and would not give me advice on what to fix. I would look else where for an entry level CSCI class.
She is the best instructor I ever had in my online class. She replied to my emails even in the evening. Canvas was very well organized.
Doesn't know how to find helpful curriculum that allows students to get a lot out of the class. Implemented this whole program called "Revel" that was very hard to learn from, didn't give back grades that accurately reflected students' competency on subject matter, and didn't tie in well to class content. Also doesn't communicate well. Avoid if can
This is the 2nd time that I took Syeda. After the first time, I said I wouldn't take her again, but I had to because only her section was at a good time. Both classes, she just randomly left for a week at the end of the quarter and then put things on the final that she didn't teach us. We were way behind; she doesn't know how to pace curriculum
Mrs. Nizami tries to be a helpful teacher, but unfortunately falls very short of that. For my online class, sometimes the modules for the week wouldn't be opened till two days after the week started. English isn't her first language so her e-mail responses are brisk and usually not very helpful. I'd avoid this teach unless you have to take her.
I took Syeda for the online Python class. As others on here have said, she does not know how to pace a course at all. There was a point where she just didn't post assignments for 2 weeks. We were literally still doing chapter 3 stuff by the end of the quarter. If you want to actually learn coding do not take her.
Will take her class again.
She doesn't even grade your work and can't reply to emails for her life.
Ms Nizami was really helpful best instructor she is so knowledgeable. Handouts were really helpful.
I like her class. I have learned a lot of things . She gives a lot of exercises in class and homework and explain them again to make them clearer.
Ms Nizami is very knowledgeable. I took 3 classes with her and she is the best instructor at highline.
The finals 100 questions in 1 hour! Kidding!
Good teacher. Easy class to pass. But in order to learn, you have to go the extra mile to cover some of the topics, otherwise, the java you learn will not be enough to help you.
Her style of teaching is honestly one of the worsts Ive ever seen, especially for a class like cs142. Instead of pushing for efficient and valuable programming skills, she pushes for memorization of trivial facts from the book. She uses an outdated book and her style is ineffective. Anyone who takes her class is setting themselves up for failure.
Horrible, horrible experience in her online Java 1 class. Not a single grade in the gradebook until FINALS WEEK! Only one video lecture, and basically the rest of the class was just to follow the online course. To top it off, most of the test questions were hardly related to the assigned work. She didn't even hold office hours during finals week.
Ms. Nizami is the best technology instructor at Highline. She explains things so well available outside of class and help you a lot for advising!!!! Highly recommended
Only instructor at Highline knows programming. Her lectures are very heavy full of information need a lot of outside time to practice. So far I had the best experience in her class!!!!!!
I waited a quarter to take her python class and now I am taking Java I with her. Her test are heavy but she offers extra credit so it helps. If you want to learn programming take her!
Ms Nizami chops down every problem and explains it so well that all topics become easy. So many extra credit opportunities to bring your grade up. Exams are tough but she follows UW Seattle curriculum which prepare us for UW. Her exams are what is taught in her class.
I learned a lot from Nizami's class. She will grade you on UW standards, because CSCI142 is transferable to UW. So it will be more difficult than your average Highline class. My only complaint is that sometimes she would forget to unlock the homework assignments, which was frustrating. All in all, I learned a bunch, but GPA suffered.
Way to much information/time to take this info LOW low low efficiency of the course. It is obvious that only few students can answer the questions in class when she is asking something. You gonna not have enough time during the quizes, tests and exams , too many questions.
She is nice but at the same time, it sounds like she wants you to fail. She is so strict with her tests. I guess she wants her student to learn but she doesn't understand we are beginners and it takes time to learn. Her quizzes and tests are so hard. She takes forever to reply to emails. However, her lectures are pretty informative.
She helped me outside her office hours always there for her students.
She is unresponsive and not available. Her videos don't make sense!
Class is pretty straightforward, each week you will: read, interact with textbook, and make a video of you explaining what you learned. Also later on in the class you will do group projects each week. It's going to be quite the amount of hw but if you're willing to go past all that, this professor is also very unresponsive. Contact other classmates
She's easy and accessible outside class. In fact, I had her as my faculty advisor for my academic plans. She genuine wants you to learn great things, which is why she's grading on UW's standards (that's what she wrote.) Recommended if you want to get easy As and are willing to spend your time learning.
Ms Nizami helped me outside her office hours with some programming questions. She is very knowledgeable and best C sci instructor at Highline!
I took python with her she is very knowledgeable in programming. Will show you comparison of different languages and differences in syntax. highly recommended!!!
Not too hard. Quizzes tend to be easy, but final is... annoying. Most of it is irrelevant or exhausting, but since the class is online ;), it's not so bad. ONLY TAKE CS AT HIGHLINE ONLINE. You may know how to code, but save yourself the worry of having to take an annoying final in person. All CS professors I've had make bad finals.
I have no clue about coding, and this class has not helped!
Professor has a thick accent to understand. You use Revel (online tool) and teach yourself so the professor does little to no teaching. You have a weekly review video and a weekly programming project with your partner. The class is an easy A but you do have to teach yourself or you will not learn.
her lectures are something you will not find anywhere else.
Her lectures are TERRIBLE!! she makes no sense and skips from topic to topic. I relied on youtube and reveal to understand java because her videos didn't help. Other professors explain so much better and I actually felt dumber after watching her videos. If you are good at using online resources then go ahead, but if not, she cant explain well.
Gives problems that try to trick you
Takes way too long to answer emails and her lectures are just taken from the textbook nothing special
Her lectures are really bad, you won't learn much from them. You pretty much have to learn everything by yourself because the lectures are horrendous. She takes a long time to respond to her emails. She also normally starts her zoom class late like it takes her 10-15 minutes into class for her to start teaching. Take another teacher if you can.
Professor rarely answers emails. VERY hard to reach outside of office hours / zoom. Uses Zybooks which is about $60 for reading assignments. You will have to teach yourself the weekly python projects because she never goes over the projects on zoom. For the final exam, familiarize yourself with finding the outputs of 'for-loops'.
It's incredible how little she cares. Emails are sparsely responded to, questions are blatantly ignored, and often she'll cancel or end class early, without having taught much about the topics she's supposed to cover. If you absolutely need her class for credits, just take it and then look for better programming classes elsewhere.
Ms. Nizami is an excellent advisor and has helped me outside of class. She accepted my late homework without any penalty. Her lectures are amazing and have helped me understand the concept.
Amazing lectures amazing lectures amazing lectures!!!! can I say it one more time? Amazing lectures!!!
Ms. Nizami had a tough time this quarter despite that she was always very caring and posted lectures to accommodate missing classes. Highly recommended if you want to learn Java.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. One of the best instructor I've ever had in computer related courses.
I had a negative experience overall with this professor. The assignments were poorly put together. Often times we were provided with no rubric or explanation for what to do on an assignment. She never grades the work as the quarter progresses, instead she binge grades all the work during the last week. I am not even sure if she checked our work.
I've never had a teacher like this before in my life. She doesn't respond to emails, and she doesn't show up when you schedule zoom meetings with her. I had to contact the head of the computer science department just to get an email back from her. She's also super rude and snobby and has the attitude of a teenager when you call her out. Avoid Her!
She'd send you links that don't work half the time, and the links would just be videos of someone else explaining. If I transferred to a 4 year school, I would not feel at all confident in Java. We were supposed to learn about objects and didn't go over it ONCE. Her class is what you'd expect from someone who just wanted to make some side money.
I took her for C SCI 132. Unfortunately, I have to take her since she's the only professor available, but I'd recommend avoiding her if possible. She is very unclear with her expectations and does not respond to emails. Was often late to class. Did not tell us our final project was individual despite Canvas saying group. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
Highly recommended
You can see the passion she has for computer science and her students. Amazing java II lectures. She has posted so many videos to explain each and every concept.
She is an amazing programming professor with full of knowledge. They way she explained loops and arrays were amazing!!! Highly recommended
Syeda Nizami is one of the worst instructors I've ever had. She's difficult to contact, her courses are confusing to navigate, and her grading is incredibly loose. You'll simply fail an assignment outright if something is wrong, 9 times out of 10. Do yourself a favor, and take Java classes elsewhere.
Just like every other online professor, copies the course, forgets to change due dates, and gives a bunch of decade old whiteboard lecture videos she expects you to learn from. Just gives you an online textbook and gives all the responsibility to the book. Binge grades everything at the end of the quarter so you never know how you are doing.
The first instructor at the college. How she is still here is beyond me. She was never qualified for the job and should have never been allowed to teach. She doesn't have the skills required to teach and lacks knowledge about the subjects she so 'teaches'. Please avoid her at all cost of you will regret it.
It's difficult to understand her and she is never available. She doesn't grade through the semester. She will binge grade everything and her grading seems off. She is not interested in teaching. She takes the money, goes on vacations during the semester and becomes unavailable to her students. She is the worst instructor at Highline.
Truly the worst instructor. Do not recommend
More focused on her social media career (tiktok and instagram) than her teaching career. Avoid her is at all possible or you will struggle. She doesn't mark anything until the very end and doesn't explain concepts probably. She is impossible to get a hold off because she is always on vacation during the semester.
The only instructor I would avoid at all costs. She does not reply to emails the vast majority of the time. Binge grades at quarter's end. She does not give constructive or even helpful feedback on your code. The only feedback I got through two classes came across as extremely rude. Every group partner I had in each class shared these opinions.
Extremely snobby behavior and acts like a teenager. She is exceptionally rude and unavailable. She is unavailable and doesn't care about student's growth. Avoid her if you care about your education and future.
She has no regard for her students development and teaching needs. She isn't avaliable most of the time. Avoid if you can.
All hate comments seems from one student. She is amazing and caring always had a fun activity at the start of the class. She accepted my late work without penalty which showed she was caring.
All hate comments seems from one student I believe -_- She is nothing like that. With her online java 1 I have received tons of positive feedback from her. I came from South Seattle to take her java course. She is the best!!!!
Amazing professor!!!! She will go extra miles to help you succeed in this course. She shared so many internship opportunities which made me come on this platform to write for her. She is there to make you successful!!!!
I took Syeda's classes on 2 seperate occasions. Both times she went on vacation mid quarter and was actively posting in social media but not responding to emails or attending lectures. Use this as a judgment call on whether to take her class or not.
Only thing hated about Java II was the group projects. Everything was well-organized.
First time I took a fully engaging online course. Group projects and constant feedback on your work from instructor are what you need. She provides very detailed feedback and is always open for resubmission.
A lot of self teaching with her...be prepared to use the textbook because the lectures are pretty useless. Feedback isn't very helpful either...
I took Java I online and taking her again for 143 in Summer. Her online classes are very well organized with so many small lectures which is quite easy to follow and understand. The posted material is indeed a big help.
Ms.Nizami shared her 141 hybrid class lectures with us too which was very helpful. There were already so many videos of her own lectures in the online class. Lectures are to the point and amazing!
I don't believe she is capable of explain complicated concepts clearly. She sometimes even fails to understand the questions. I took her once and I am done. I will not be taking her classes again.
She was unavalible for long periods of time. I came to find out that she was on vacation during the semester, hence why I struggled to get a response from her in a timely manner. If you are capable to learning on your own, you may do okay in her class. If you are looking for an actual instructor, she is definetly not it.
Good class. Good instructor.
She is great! never had any issues with her. The online class was properly setup and was fully organized.
I don't recommend Syeda at all. I do think it's best to do your due diligence and talk to students in the department and not fully rely on these reviews. You will get a better idea of whether you should take her classes or not.
Not sure why her rating is low. I am taking her again for Java II. BEST Java Instructor I had!
I took her Python last year on Zoom. She is very knowledgeable. If you really want to learn python take her.
I took Syeda's CSCI 132 Python and had a great experience. She is so caring and kind plus highly knowledgeable.
Best instructor for Java. Very knowledgeable in Java.
Currently taking her Java I, She is very responsive to emails. I have always received a reply from her.
I recently had the privilege of learning from Syeda, and I cannot express enough how fortunate I feel to have had such an outstanding mentor. From the very first class, it was evident that Syeda possessed an unmatched passion for teaching and a genuine desire to help each student thrive in their academic journey. Highly recommended!
One of the most remarkable qualities of Ms. Nizami is her ability to make even the most complex topics seem approachable and understandable. She has a unique talent for breaking down difficult concepts into digestible pieces, ensuring that everyone in the class can grasp the material, regardless of their background or prior knowledge.
I just didn't understand her. I don't think she can explain concepts well. I struggled in her class from start to end and had to teach myself.
Had a very terrible experience with Syeda. I don't recommend her to anyone.
I had high hopes and gave her class a benefit of the doubt but I regret it every bit... she struggles to explain concepts and she struggles to understand basic questions. Do no recommend!
Syeda Nizami's teaching style is both engaging and effective, making complex CS concepts easy to grasp. would give her 10/10.
Syeda Nizami is an outstanding CS instructor and she is my advisor. My first yer at Highline she sat with me and went over my whole career path, She is so understanding and caring. I am an ESL student and she was very patient with me. I took her python class she repeats every time you ask questions.
Syeda Nizami's approachable nature and willingness to help students make her a standout CS professor. I am not sure why a student is posting bad comments about her. Calling her immature, come on, she is the CS department coordinator. She must be capable of achieving it.
Syeda Nizami's passion for computer science shines through in her teaching, making her classes a true learning experience. The only thing I hate about her class is the group projects.
clear communication and thorough explanations make even the most challenging CS topics understandable in Syeda's class!!
Syeda is the best advisor and instructor. Make sure you take her class once so that you get awsome advising from her regarding transfer process.
Very easy going. Mixed individual assignemnts with group work.
Doesn't respond to emails. Only received one message from her across 2 classes and it came across as unnecessarily disrespectful, and she did not respond to my follow-up to the message asking for clarification.
Very immature an incapable of a professor...she isn't very clear or articulated. I struggled to understand her throughout.
I don't think Syeda has the time to teach. She is often unavailable and responds incredibly slow. When I informed her of the turn around time on her responses, she became defensive and incredibly rude and snobby.
This is the first course I have to drop later in the quarter. She doesn't reply to questions and she gives awful feedback. The feedback is a few words long, it doesn't tell you what you need to improve upon. Overall, just a terrible teacher. Don't be like me, never take her.
Syeda is an amazing instructor. I am taking Java I right now and she is always ready to help. The recent negative comments follows a same pattern seems written by one student. She was on maternity leave last quarter not sure comments in December means anything.
I had the privilege of being a student in Syeda Nizami's Java programming class, and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Syeda's teaching style is not only informative but also incredibly engaging. She has a unique ability to simplify complex Java concepts and make them accessible to everyone. Highly recommended!!
She seems to be more focused on making money on tiktok than her actual teaching career. She has zero skills or passion for teaching. I struggled to hear back from her and she does not provide constructive feedback on assignments. She has poor vocabulary and that mKes it difficult to understand complicated concepts. I will never take her again.
The worst Insructor I ever taken at Highline college. Avoid at all cost! Lack of communication, won't respond back to emails or canvas message. Lack of material, no guidence on projects/exams, no updates, not follow syllabus change with no announcement! She not a program instructor! Worst part - she the supervisor of the computer science program.
She is soo caring and understanding of my situation and accepted my late work and supported outside of her office hours.
I came from Green River College just to take her Java II and it was 110% worth it. Her lectures are amazing!!
If you want to transfer to UW Seattle, take her course and make her your advisor. She knows everything.
Her canvas is very well-designed and easy to follow. Her lectures are amazing and to the point. Will take her again for Java II.
I have taken all three courses from Syeda: python, java I, and Java II. Her lectures are amazing. She knows the core of programming. None of the youtube video will help you understand the concept in comparison to her lectures. If you really want to learn programming take her.
I never had any trouble with Syeda. She was very flexible with my assignments and accepted them late without penalty. She is very friendly and supportive of me.
I took her online Java 2 class. Course went through online but only final exam was in-person suddenly changed this quarter, no feedback, lack of communication, grade 3 weeks after the due date, and don't know what she is doing.
She would not grade any work until almost halfway through the quarter. She takes an average of 2-3 days to respond to emails. Constantly cancels assignments and office hours, probably so she has less work to do. The final exam was an auto-graded multiple choice quiz, which is easy to pass, but useless for actually learning. Extremely unprofessional
She is very caring and helped me so much with the eclipse outside of her office hours.
Ms.Nizami accepted all of my late work and she was so nice and understanding of my situation. I am taking her again in Summer for Java II.
She takes a while to grade your stuff. she is easy going and will try to put her videos out if you can't reach her. She does not reply to your emails so good luck with understanding assignments I had someone who helped me. FIND A CLASSMATE TO DO HW WITH!
Her lectures are old but amazing. It would be great if she records more new lectures. She is very caring and understanding and will give you the opportunity to improve your grade.
I would not recommend Syeda to any student wanting to excel in their student career. Syeda lacks the passion, drive, knowledge or even the skill to thoroughly explain complicated concepts. I do not view nor respect her as an instructor. She is also unavailable most days and responds painfully slow. She appears too busy to be teaching.
Professor Syeda's class has its ups and downs. She can be flexible, but communication and feedback are lacking. unstuckstudy helped me stay on top of assignments when her responses were slow.
never responds. grades projects five to eight weeks after they're due. online textbook was difficult to use. i feel like i learned nothing from this class. however, material was easy. professor doesn't use her own videos or materials. never got answers to questions. 2/10 professor. i did well only because material was easy. has no teaching skills.
She is a great instructor 100%. She encouraged us to come to the office hours for help if there is any help needed.
She is a really nice person but a terrible instructor. She is never available and she takes a very long time to grade so you never know how well you are doing. I do not recommend taking her classes. 1/10
She encouraged us to come to the office hours for help if there is any help needed. She knew all of our names and told us how we could improve in coding and various methods to improve. It was a Zoom class.
First time taking this professor, looked at RMP reviews before, PAY ATTENTION to the likes/dislike ratio of the good reviews. Emailed Nizami with a clear and concise email about questions, only answers a few of them. Email her again about the remaining question, it does not answer my question at all. Uses old lectures, I can't say I recommend her.
her lectures are very helpful. I visited her office hours twice and she was always ready to help. super nice and generous.
She doesn't respond to emails or canvas messages at all and uses old lectures on top of that. She also uses old assignments for these lectures so if you're assigned a different textbook from when she made these lectures you're out of luck
Horrible horrible horrible instructor. She uses her husbands material (literally signed by her husband who also teaches Java) and WILL NOT RESPOND to ANY messages whether it be email or canvas message. Do yourself a favor and take her husbands class if you actually want to learn and retain the class material. I literally thought I was in his class.
She doesn't teach the courses. She uses her husband's materials and he grades them and responds to emails. She is very rude and hostile in the way she deals with us. Such a terrible and unprofessional teacher. Another teacher does the work and she takes the paychecks. I'll never take her again.
Nizami is the least professional instructor. Coursework isn't hers. Pointless group projects. Weeks to grade assignments with 0 feedback on coding. Doesn't communicate well. Another instructor responds! Took 3wks to finally Zoom to ask coding questions & she was needlessly hostile. Don't waste your $. Learning online is cheaper & far better.
One of the most supportive professors I've had! She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is on track. Her feedback is always helpful and constructive.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! Her husband teaches on her behalf! She can't even hold a proper conversation or understand the questions I was asking her. I would rate her -10/10 ... absolutely terrrrrible teacher!
totally bad instructor. she makes like 80k a year not even teaching properly, absolutely avoid at all costs if you value learning java becuase you wont learn anything from this class
If you want to learn, to use your knowledge in future applications - avoid this professor at all cost. She did not use the correct textbook for the finals - meaning our finals was on the wrong book. She used a platform that held no rigor at all. She does not reply to emails. For our final project - she gave us partners 4 days before due date AVOID
She use the wrong textbook then said to students to do refund by themselves.(I didn't get any refund!) The book cost more than $70. And her responsibility is just pretend that nothing happened and continue teaching with using her old work&video that has been taken for years. Never answer any email. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS.
Literally the worst instructor I have ever had. It seems that her husband, who is also an instructor, responds to the emails, not her. He also does course prep. She does not respond in a timely manner. She waits till the end of the quarter to grade so you never know how you are doing. If you care about your education, take another instructor.
Do not take her! There are better instructors who can better articulate ideas and actually explain difficult concepts. She is a terrible instructor.
Completely unprofessional timing. It takes them too long to grade, I believe they use AI for their assignments. It takes them a week after an assignment to address issues, like information on an assignment or group projects. Group projects are a nightmare with this professor as they cannot get anything done on time.
Do not take her. It takes weeks to actually get an email though to her. Most of the time she seems clueless about what she is actually doing. Her lectures can be years old or even months, lectures that are not even hers and seem to be her husbands. Unclear assignments, and the only real thing that is going to teach you is zybooks.
Beyond unprofessional, lacks passion and skill to teach, used her husband's material, never responds to emails, seems lost and can't converse.
Do not take her unless you don't care about your education. The worst of the worst instructor. Avoid her if you want to get good grades and graduate.
Well, this was basically a class where you paid for the credit. I could have learned all the material from youtube. Instructor never responds to emails unless you CC: her boss. THE WORST
Can't teach, doesn't respond and uses her husband's material. 0/5
This is the worst instructor I've ever had. The quarter started off with her switching textbooks and offering no refund. The course felt highly disorganized and our discussion assignments had nothing to do with what we were learning. She never responded to any of my emails, and the only thing I learned came from the textbook. Don't take her.
