I think she really tries to make things clear to people. It;s just that she teaches in a totally new perspective than we have learned in high school, on the totally opposite end so it;s like learning all new concepts on old material.

She is a really nice professor..sometimes she is unclear when teaching but offers help whenever you need it. Tests are fairly easy and you know exactly what to expect on the tests.

I really liked her, she is so incredibly helpful, and she tells you exactly whats going to be on the test, if you do the worksheets and homework youll do fine, she is great if you don't understand,and she is very understanding herself, take her!!!

Sylvana is a great teacher. She makes stats as easy as possible. Take her if you get the opportunity. She gives out Math Dollars for extra credit and gives many opportunities for make up points. Also, she drops the lowest test score if you pass the final!

College Algebra is a hard class, but Vester is truely an amazing educator. She helps you look at the material in different ways that make you understand. Tests are somewhat hard...but if you study u should be fine. Everything is worth points in the class and extra test points are offered. Take her!

Ms. Vester is the best math teacher I have ever had. She explains things very clearly. If you go to class and do the homework this class is easy, even if math is hard for you. She will explain concepts as many times as she needs to. Her final is multiple choice.

She is a very funny and smart teacher. She goes over the material until she thinks most of the class understands the material. She does homework check and homework quizzes often. She will usually tell you a class in advance before these quizzes. Just make sure you dont get behind. I found her tests to be kind of hard.

First off, I am horrible at math. This lady is the definition of an excellent teacher. She explained everything in detail. She answered any questions I had before I had a chance to ask it. Usually I am confused and lost in math classes but not in hers. She truly is a wonderful professor.

Sometimes lectures were fast paced however if you keep up with your hw it will be much easier to follow along. There are mini quizzes probably once a wk which are very easy and will help your grade so make sure you show up for class. Lectures from handouts so you can reserve your text for hw.

She is very clear on each section. I ahte math, but she made it easy for me! I ahve not gotten an A in math since 3rd grade and i earned an A in her class!!! It will be harder to pass the class if you dont do the homework. test are exactly like the quizes so use those to study 3 test 1 final cumlative very hard final will replace lowers test grade. Nice teacher but if you just want to pass there are easier stat teachers that dont go as far as she does in the stat book.

A very good teacher. Can be Kind of awkward and random at times, but explains the materials well and gives great handouts. Nothing unexpected here, and practice tests with answers are emailed prior to tests. Highly Recommend.

She doesn't assign any problems that aren't relevant to the tests. She's also funny and tries to make things more interesting. Definitely recommend!

If you have to take Statistics, do yourself a favor and take it with Professor Vester. She gives straight-forward, easy to understand instructions on the material and the homework assignments are always relevant to the tests. This class is challenging but if you put in the effort and do the assigned work she'll take care of all the rest. Very FAIR.

Prof Vester is a great teacher. I'm more of a math person myself anyway, so it was rather easy for me to catch onto the material. I can see how (for a "non-math" person) she could be difficult to understand because she does go rather quickly. Though, I do think that it is understandable because there is so much material that we have to cover. Great

I took this teacher apon recommendation, & loved her. Random homework checks, assigned hw problems for the board, and fun partner projects. I recommended her to several of my friends and they are pleased w/ the results! She does move quickly, but stats doesn't have as much information to cover as other math courses out there. TAKE HER.

Great professor, works you hard, but wouldn't have got the "A" if she didn't require so much homework. It's the only way to learn this stuff. All the work she gives is what the quizzes & tests are on. She is clear as spit on what to expect on them. Excellent Professor.

She explains exactly what you need to know in Trig to prepare you for Calculus and Calculus 2. That being said, this is a really easy trig class and if you can't learn it from her, there is something wrong with you. She's a fine professor, explains things perfectly, and gives easy tests.

Mrs. Vester is an extremely helpful, considerate and crystal clear teacher but she's not a pushover and the tests are difficult. Some individual test questions were worth 9 points a piece. She gives partial credit and doesn't mind spending all the time in the world to make sure you understand. Overall, Mrs. Vester is an excellent teacher.

Nice Professor. She is helpful but you need to go to her office because at classroom she goes too fast, she runs trough everything. HW is chapters she hasn't covered... I don't like that... this class should be longer in hour 15 minutes is not enough x all the material. Maybe if it were longer she will have the ability to go step by step.

Statistics is NOT easy, however, Vester breaks it down to a level that you can understand. You need the book for hw and the packet she wrote is your bible. This is my second time taking the course after failing it (with another professor) I passed with a B this time around so it is possible for everyone. She is so helpful & understanding

Great professor. The packet that she requires you to purchase is extremely helpful. The class isn't hard at all, and by the time you have read through the packet pages for the chapter and have done the homework, you should be well prepared for the test.

Great professor. I hate math but the packet she writes is very helpful. Statistics is a hard subject so you have to study a lot but she gives you opportunities to pass. If you get higher than a 70% on your final it will replace your lowest test score if its below a 70%. I passed with a B. great professor to take for statistics.

If you are looking for an easy to pass math class this is it! She is great she explains when and why you do each step as wellas short cuts for the already easy questions. This was a fantasitc class and so easy! a few tests and she lets you drop three homework assignments, the final ended up being optional. Take this class if you need an Easy Math A

Very easy to earn a good grade! Gives you EVERYTHING you need to pass. Homework checks are every week. All quizzes have a sample quiz similar to actual. She goes over almost every problem. VERY VERY good at answering questions, and explaining. HIGHLY recommend. One of the best professors I have had yet!

NO WAY. She has no feeling for any student, no matter how much she sees you struggling. She doesn't offer much extra credit to help with the grading. She can be VERY sarcastic, and has some attitude, and lady it's not needed! She is clear with her instructions, but teaches it as if everyone is majoring in stats. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This teacher actually made me like math. She is so enthusiastic about the subject that she explains over and over again, and what not better than having a teacher who truly goes over the work. Homework is a big deal, always do it. Easy hw, not too bad tests and there are only 4 in total. She really is there to make you understand and learn.

Sylvana is the best!!!! not only is she really smart, but she knows how to teach so that you learn. She's nice as long as you're a respectful student and very helpfyl. You'll have homework almost every single night, but it is really helpful so do it! Highly recommend this professor

She's a really great professor who knows exactly what she's talking about! Homework every night which she does random checks on, but i'd recommend doing it all because it will really help you in the long run. Her notes have everything you need! Don't use a pen on her quizzes or testes though because she takes points off for anything crossed out

I enjoyed this professor. She post all the notes online and they are extremely thorough so if you miss a class you can catch up easily. Hated Stats in high school, dreaded it, but she turned it around for me. She assigns homework and checks randomly so do it. She has a clear schedule given to us like when tests and quizzes are or what homework to do. Notes are thorough and she even posts extra videos on BB to explain further. I wish more math prof. were like her.

I took her class on MWF. She was very sweet and clear on what she wanted. I put in minimal work and managed a B. Make sure to do all the homework that she assigns. The extra credit saved my grade from a C to a B. Stats is not an easy class but she makes it as simple as possible. She also allows a cheat sheet for the last two exams (includes final).

Most interactive math professor I have ever had! Took statistics all online with her. She always emails, sends helpful videos, gives explanations, and adds links for studying. She will send you extra help, too if you ask! I am horrible at math but this teacher is so great. She makes SURE you have the tools to pass.

This is a VERY intense course, but Prof. Vester is great! She answers all your questions quickly and does her best to help you pass. I am awful at math and when I took this, it was the first intense class I've taken in 15 years. I believe if I had any other stats prof. I wouldn't have gotten B. I don't recommend taking this class online though.

Professor Vester is amazing. Her whole mission was to explain the reasoning behind why the concepts work. It makes it a lot easier to retain the knowledge and apply it in vague situations. If you do your part int he class, (homework and watching the amazing supplemental videos) you will get a good grade. If you choose not to you will struggle.

She gives so much homework, quizzes and test. It seems like every 3 days another assignment is due. These assignments takes hours to complete. I felt like this class sucked all my time. Do not take this class with more than 2 other classes. She is pretty understanding but It is a lot of work.

I highly recommend this class. She's great. She gives homework but as long as you do it, it's easy points. She gives you a schedule of when everything is due and when to do it, and she sticks with it. The tests are very similar to the reviews (almost verbetum but with different numbers). The only thing is the final exam is cumulative which sucked.

She has a clear passion for the subject. She does random HW checks, but as long as you made an effort on the problem you will get full credit even if it's wrong. She does a great job preparing you for tests (the review & tests are nearly identical). All HW is written out and NOT online, so you can buy the textbook used. No access code needed.

I took this as an accelerated 8 week class rather than a full term ( by mistake) I might be biased on how heavy of the homework load she gives because of that. But man are her videos awesome, she is so organized, and response faster than any teacher I have ever seen. If you struggle with math she is your girl, very caring. Also drops few things.

She is very clear on the guidelines for the class & very helpful if you have any questions. Some advice on the actual course is if you aren't already good at Trig: -Use the textbook & TAKE NOTES! It really helps -Make sure to use the examples given on MathXL -There are quite frequent tests so make sure you understand the material.

Easily one of the best professors I've had at Valencia. There is a TON of work, but you learn so much, and you adjust to the workload after the first couple of weeks. She makes her own videos for every single section and responds quickly to questions and concerns. Highly recommend.

If you need any extra help shell take time out of her own day to help you out. Theres a midterm & final with many chapter test in between as well as homeworks due 3 sometimes 4 times a week. Only thing that bothered me is that she doesnt recognize hard work. she wont help your grade out at the end no matter how close you are or good you did.

Can I just say this is hand down one of the best professors I had? Let me start by saying that I suck at math, and have already failed this class with another professor, & she actually made it easy enough to understand. Just watch the videos ahead of class, do the assigned hw, study & you will definitely pass this class

Took stats with her and she was great and so was the CARE coach. Tips for the class: SHOW UP, take notes, watch the videos, DO HOMEWORK (it's extra credit you DO NOT want to miss), and go to tutoring. She is very easy to have a conversation with and funny too. Wish I had another class to take with her.

The Mathlab homework, chapter tests, and discussions are weighed the exact same so be sure to do all of those. The midterm/final is weighed the heaviest and is accumulative based on the previous topics. The minimum grade to get an A is a 90.00% and even an 89.50% is considered a B. She also opens missed Mathlab homework to do as completion.

Her videos are clear and concise and most of the time aren't longer than 10 minutes. She also let us have cheat sheets which is great. She said that the final exam would be on chapters 5-8 with a heavy emphasis on 6. multiple questions on the exam were from before chapter 5, and my cheat sheet didn't reflect that. Study hard and you'll do fine.

Professor Sylvana Vester was amazing! I took her Trig class in the 6 week format. Completing all of the material within 6 weeks was hard and I would not recommend it, especially for a math course. I averaged 2-3 hours a day watching videos and completing HW. She did have a ton of videos in canvas she made herself. They are lengthy but worth it!

Professor Vester's trig course is no easy feat, especially in the 6-week format. Her detailed videos are invaluable, but the workload is heavy. To succeed, use unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and attend office hours. With discipline, you'll master the material.

In this class you'll have 1 test per unit which is about 4 if you have her for college algebra. Her study guide are the exact same format as the test. She does her best to break down the concepts and get to the “why behind the what.” She does group work on the whiteboards (not for a grade just for practice).

Took her trig class as 6 weeks course for the summer. This Professor is amazing, she has empathy for her students and she is the best Professor that I ever seen. Pass the class with A and all her quizzes and test are exactly the same as what she gave to here student. Also quizzes in her class helped a lot in remember everything in the class.
