Best college teacher I have ever had.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THE LAW AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOU, YOU MUST TAKE THIS CLASS. PROFESSOR MACIAS EXPLAINS THE LAW CONCEPTS IN AN EASY TO UNDERSTAND WAY WITH PLENTY EXAMPLE CASES THROUGHOUT THE CLASS. HER CLASS WAS ENGAGING AND FUN.

Professor Macias is very knowledgeable of the law and includes her experiences in her lectures. She even includes relevant topics and cases from today. If you are considering some kind of career in law than I recommended taking any of her classes. She is a great professor!

Amazing Professor. I previously took this class for Fall 2018 and didnt pass, so i retook this as a Winter Course and learned more than I did in five weeks, rather than a fell semester!

I took Law 1 Buisness Law. Professor Macias would give lectures on what we will be talking about during the week and a short quiz based on chapter

Took Business Law 1 and Professor Macias made the class enjoyable. Professor Macias did not use Power Points which made the class more engaging and interesting rather than taking notes for 2 hours. The material is explained thoroughly making it easier to comprehend. I definitely recommend taking the class, one of the best professors I've had.

I took her back in the winter for Evidencial Law . First i was skeptical she seemed too good to be true. I had bad experience in the past. So i continued to do my work and show up to class and by the end of class i realized she is the real deal . she gives honest feedback and is a sweetheart. the work is light and participation counts. I took this class for the spring and i was left wanting more. It was online but i was able to meet with the proffessor during office hours if needed. She was fair and very resourcefull. she even got me an intership i requested at the Van Nuys courthouse where i made many connections. I could not ask for a better proffessor . she is amazing and true

We had a blast in class , she is so funny and does not even try . she makes the class feel like we are just hanging out .The homework is relatable to life so when i was done i really just wanted to take her again. I graduated this week so i cant but if anyone is thinking of taking her do not wait just do it and i promise you will be glad you did.

At the beginning of the course I was anticipating it to be more difficult due to the number assignments and reading material that was being pushed through however, Professor Macias helped with any questions I had and anything I needed to be clarified with the assignments and materials are easy to grasp once you get the hang of it on the second week

I took this class as an accelerated course during spring semester so it did feel lecture heavy however it was still not overwhelming and professor Macias was very accommodating with anyone that had to submit work or discussion posts late . I learned a lot in this class and it was well taught and rarely had any trouble understanding the material.

She is an amazing professor. She connects the lectures to real life as much as possible. Anyone interested in the law field should take her!

Professor Macias is awesome! Read the book, and other materials she gives you. Participate in the discussions, challenge yourself and respond to others with different points of view. Most importantly, dont wait until the last day to work on your assignments. You will end up rushing and turning in inferior work.

I didnt go into this class wanting to pursue law, but after this class I will be. Easy A if you participate and turn in your quizzes. The mid-term was scary, but not hard at all. The professor is captivating, from personal stories to answering our hundreds of questions. I one hundred percent recommend, you wont regret it !

Professor Marcias is kind and enthusiastic, always ready to help her students. She is well informed on the material, and explains it well. She also tries to engage her students, and make the class interesting. Just pay attention in class, and you'll do fine.

My fav. day of the week was having Professor Macias's Immigration class. This course has not yet ended, but I had to share how informative and inspirational it has been. Providing a course so relatable to its community has to be one of the best moves for the Paralegal program at LAMC. Knowledge in Immigration law is a MUST, I highly recommend it.

took this class online and it has been one of the easiest classes ive ever taken. easy A if you ever need any help shes there to answer all questions. mid term and final were easy as well. i definitely recommend taking any classes with her shes amazing and you can tell she cares for every student. shes very kind and caring 10/10

This professor was great! She gave me lots of feedback and helped me understand any issue I had. She also helped me with another class which was unrelated. She is very caring. Definitely take her!

I have had Professor Macias for three classes and I wish I could continue all my Law classes under her. I wouldn't say her class is easy because it definitely takes time and effort but if you participate and do all of the assignments the correct way you will do great and learn so much! I recommend taking her for Evidence, Family Law, and Business.

I took Professor Macias for Immigration Law & Evidence. Immigration Law was hybrid class (prior to pandemic) and Evidence was strictly online. For her classes that require actual physical attendance, you must attend. Attendance is mandatory for your grade. She is great at communicating and assignments are straight forward. She's amazing!

Best professor I could have asked for after 10+ years out of school. Likes when you participate as she seems to enjoy seeing her students minds think. Very inspirational and funny! Very 'human' and understanding - gave class leniency and pushed some due dates during wildfires in surrounding areas. Extra credit available, easy A if you try.

Professor Macias showed a lot of dedication in helping her students including myself get the most out of her class. She is there for you whether it's during business hours or after hours. She grades your work quickly and shares detailed and constructive Feedback. Her homework is interesting and makes you think, research and develop more interest.

Professor Macias will not just hand you a grade, she will make you work for it and that was exactly what I liked. I worked hard and ended her 8 week law 001 course with an A. Try your best and you should be more than fine! Definitely liked her online course and am going to take as many more courses with her when possible.

Professor Macias is always dedicated and communicative in and outside of the classroom. This is my second course with her, and each time is a very welcoming and enjoyable experience. She makes practical assignments, and so long as you are willing to work, she will be glad to help in any facet.

Lots of discussions but the work is easy. Good instructor.

Do the readings and you'll be fine

Not a difficult class, directions are clearly given by professor. Pretty straightforward.

Professor Macias was my first law prof, as well as my favorite! She's very educated and intellectual. She assigns a decent amount of classwork/homework. She's very accessible in/out of her hours, responds quick. Excellent feedback with comments/suggestions when grading. I would consider this class manageable for someone while working fulltime.

There are good professors, then there are "dynamic" professors who go above and beyond just teaching the material but who also provide that real world experience and insight that can make a huge difference and Prof. Macias is one such professor. I am very grateful for her instruction. If I were to describe the class in one word..."gamechanger!!"

The combination between the quizzes and the assignments weeks was excellent. Professor Macias has done tremendous work of balancing the materials. I did not feel overwhelmed or suffocated by completing a high number of assignments. The motion to suppress and the briefs are hard assignments. You carefully have to prepare to receive a good grade.

Professor Macias was a tough teacher but it helped a lot in getting my work done, she is also very understanding of your situation, and she is an awesome educator. Overall her course is great and you learn many new things.

This professor was the best. I always put law class on the side because I was afraid of it being too difficult but Professor Macias was the best. Took her for session A in the spring and earned an A. She didn’t give a lot of assignments and she would give us a whole week to submit them. Honestly everyone should take law classes with her.

Having just finished Law 001 with professor Macias, I have to say that if you need to take business law, take her class! Assignments are self-explanatory and include discussions, case overviews, and quizzes. There is a final contract project where you should be fine if you follow the directions in the book.

Professor Macias was great during the online class. Always available during class and even outside of class. Great communicator and fair with grades. Professor Macias was also helpful on another curriculum great mentor.

Professor Macias is really understanding and caring. All the work is super easy. Assignments every week due on Sundays. I am taking her again for another class. She is very helpful, if you have any questions let her know.

If you need to take a law class take one with this professor. Clear grading critirea, emails back fairly quickly, and straightfoward about assingments. I wouldnt say the work is to easy or to hard, since all you have to so is read and follow directions written. Definitaly will take again if i get the chance.

This class has very clear grading criteria and very good reading materials. Professor Macias always respond quickly with useful information. Strongly recommend.

Although the subject (LAW 003) is complex and required for the major, the professor Macias has planned it in a way that is accessible and has no intention of saddening the students with his grades. There are no quizzes or midterms and no extra stress. Work on your discussions and assignments each week,post on time, and you won't have any problems.

Professor Macias was one of the best teachers i have ever had. because of her good feedback I was able to pass the class with an A even though i struggled in some areas. She really wanted to see us pass the class and she was very informative.

Modules were straightforward, they were always clear and concise and grading rubrics were provided Everything was easy to find and submit. She also responds to emails very quickly. As for the Assignments, quizzes, and final they were not surprising. If you read the material your will be ready. Make sure to stay on top of your reading assignments.

Amazing teacher! Good feedback. She grades on time. She was caring and always responded to my questions. Law class was surprisingly very interesting. All the cases we had to read were great which made the class more enjoyable. This was an online class/no live meetings, but the work was clear and understandable. I will 100% recommend this class.

If I could have her for every law class, then I would. The material is always clear, assignments are paced well, and I learned a lot. I recommend her for any student taking a legal assistant/paralegal program.

Great Professor! Have had her for multiple classes and always enjoy them. I have taken Law 016, Law 003, Law 034, and Law 001 and she always helps me understand the material. Very helpful when you reach out and respond very fast. Following the directions to assignments is very important and helps you get 100. I definitely would take classes again.

Took her class for the first half of the semester as it was a shorter term class. It was fast paced but makes sense for the length of time. Super clear directions and feedback. It was my first law class and I had no idea what I was doing at first but her curriculum is very organized and helpful in making sure you succeed. Highly recommend!

The course was so easy to navigate and I was able to set my own pace. The professor always gave great feed back and made sure all the grading and deadlines were up to date. The assignments also had great purpose to better prepare me for the legal world.

A good teacher with a good lesson plan. Doesn't grade harshly if she can tell you're even trying a little. Just follow instructions closely and you should be good.
