He's Fantastic!!!! Its like having a Backstreet Boy teach you philosophy...He keeps you captivated. He is so approachable and friendly when he sees you around campus.
This guy is cool, take logic with him and he'll make it easy to understand.
His logic class is cool. It seems hard every time you start something new, but it'll get easier. He is young and understanding.
Good guy, plus young and handsome. Really cares that you learn, and cuts through the crap in order to make sure class makes sense. Love the sports metaphors.
Good instructor. He's got a good personality.
Ahh... the beauty and wonder that is Mr. Donovan. I transfered to UCLA from MSJC and none of my professors thus far could hold a candle to Mr.D. He knows exactly how to bring home every single point. And he's so funny. And oh so hot. TAKE HIS CLASS.
Very good teacher. Gets right down to the heart of each point with clear and concise info that you need for understanding. Funny and intelligent, he makes learning seem fun - the way it should be.
Excellent teacher! I left each class feeling that I had gone to a spiritual event, not religious, just life changing. Made the topic clear and described in depth many aspects. Overall I would recommend Dr.Donovan.
Oh, Mr. Donovan. Intelligent, witty, and young enough that his jokes are still funny, Super clear teaching and overall, the best teacher I have ever had. I transfered to UCR after MSJC and not one of my teachers have been as awesome as him.
Oh my goodness! He is so wonderful :) I can't wait to take him again. Too bad he is married jk. Well spoken and well mannered. Will never make you feel like you have asked a "stupid question" Tests are perfect and I learned a lot!
Dr. Donovan is byfar one of the most inspiring teachers I've ever had! His class was interesting, insightful and always entertaining. I recommend his class to anyone with a brain. Oh and he's the hottest teacher on the campus ;)
He is, perhaps, the best teacher at MSJC. Take him for any class he teaches. He's dedicated, witty, and hilarious.
oh my god, dr. donovan's wife is one lucky girl, that is all i am going to say!!!
Yeah, he is "good looking", but that has no determination on whether a prof. is good or not. He actually is a good teacher so far.
Easy A.
I love the way he is so clear on everything.

He is a great teacher that is absolutely hillarious. There is a lot of reading in this class, but with his great explanations I honestly only read not even half of the material and managed getting a B.
Hot, completely interesting, funny, and super cool. By far one of the best teachers here. We would all be so lucky to encounter more teachers like him when we venture out from the thirteenth grade and move on to higher education. But we might not ever be so lucky.

Super laidback class-no homework 3 tests (easy)-gives extra credit easily-recommended!
An awesome teacher! He is the one that got me interested in Philosophy, and now it is my Major at Cal State Fullerton. A lot of reading, but well worth it. He makes you think. Some of my best papers were written in his class. He is a true Philosopher, and I was proud of my A's in both of his classes that I took!!
Grade consists of mid-term+final+one paper. Day of final, he offered to double points on paper instead of doing the final! Many times he talks about nothing relevant, however he is hilarious. One day for no reason at all he said, "Let's just say what's on our minds. ****. Ok, now that we've got that out of the way..." Would highly recommend!
We talked about a whole lot of nothing and I felt like it was a big waste of time. Teachers didn't seem to care about students and played favorites, something I find terribly annoying. Some of the material was interesting, but for the most part, between 1 and 10 I give it a 3.
MMmmMmMmmmmmmm.... Logic can either be considered difficult or easy depending on the person. If you get it, it can be fun. If you don't your screwed, but atleast you get to spend an hour and a half staring at an unbelievably hansom professor. Either way, it's all good. Your grade is made up of 3 tests, that's it. Attendance is not required! YAY!
Awesome teacher! He is entertaining which makes the class enjoyable and he is very clear. I would take him again in a heart beat!
Great teacher. I took his online class and it was soo easy. As long as you read the chapters, it'll be a breeze. Tests can be a little confusing, but then again it's Logic. I would totally recommend him!
There's nothing I could say to add to all these great comments. But he is easy and I did learn something so....
Amazing teacher, university calibre but without the arrogance or stuffiness. Very easy to talk to and discuss the class or anything else with. He will make you laugh in class but also will teach you a lot if you are willing to learn.
Very good teacher, he knows the material and explains it clearly. His class is pretty much a standard college class, you read books, take notes, and write essays about the books and the lecture. He makes philosophy interesting.
awesome professor. wants you to pass and will help you in every way. fun lectures and extremely laid back. highly recommended. very popular on campus.
Donovan is a down to earth kind of guy. He's extremely helpful, and does a great job at teaching. And even if you miss out on a couple of classes, it's not a big worry to fail the class. I knew someone who never showed up to class, and was still able to get Bs on every exam.
nice, funny, and interesting class and teacher.
Took it with him online, just took the finals last week [which was 3 hrs long] very difficult class, ONLY!! if you dont study and read the book. Pretty much dicussion board and exams, thats all! I would recommend him! SERIOUSLY!! I learned A LOT! Yeeh! :p
Great Instructor. Pays attention to students needs. Offers EC if having trouble.
Donovan is a passionate and engaging teacher who loves his job. His classes are enjoyable and you can look forward to his lecture. I took three of his classes and I highly rocommend him.
Great teacher, I really learned a lot and enjoyed the class. The lectures were easy to understand and interesting. If you pay enough attention to what he says in lectures, it is almost impossible to get a bad grade in the class. He obviously cares very much about what he does and really cares whether his students do well or not.
Great teacher! Really enjoyed both his phil 101 and logic 103 classes, one of my favorite teachers at msjc, highly recommend!
I have to note that this was an online class, and compared to my previous experiences it was smooth. He replied to e-mails and messages promptly, mostly by utilizing blackboard discussion forum to it fullest; something that I have not noticed with my previous professors.
This professor is excellent. the class is difficult and requires staying on his timeline and participating in the disscusion boards but for an online class was very organized. He responds to email, questions and concerns right away. Highly reccommend this class
Sexy. And pretty easy. Fun to look at.
He is really helpful, and encouraging.. totally recommend!!! hottest teacher on menifee!!
an extremely good professor i highly recommend him
This guy has more patience of any teacher I have ever had. Philosophy classes seem to attract a large quantity of smug, pretentious idiots and he deals with them so effortlessly that I envy it.
Donovan was the highlight of my semester. He has a great personality and a exquisite knowledge in Philosophy. This stuff is hard to understand, but Tom does a fine job at making it comprehensible.I was dreading going to this class but it turned out to be my favorite.I learned a lot and it really opened my mind to a lot of things I never thought about.
This guy was a really good teacher. This class even inspired me to learn more about philosophy although, I am a psych major.
wonderful teacher. by far my fav at the school so far. took philosophy 101 and then logic class next semester. class attendeance is not mandatory, but the discussions definatley will help you get good grades on all the tests, especially if you dont read the material yourself. grade is based soley on test scores which i like.
Tom is a phenomenal teacher. Philosophy is a difficult subject but he is great at getting students to understand the philosophers. He doesn't take attendance but I HIGHLY recommend you come to every class because the exams are based mostly on his lectures. Overall, take his class if you want a positive experience and a good grade.
Easily one of my favorite professors I've had so far. Very discussion-based class; no outside assignments besides the final paper. All tests were short in-class essays. Not a difficult class, but don't think that you won't learn anything. It's definitely worth going out of your way to take his class if you can.
Tom wants his students to look at life in different ways then they have before. I learned a lot about myself in this class. Tom is one of the most intelligent efficient professors I have had, the tests were an expansion of your views, not multiple choice from a text book. I highly recommend taking this class, it is well worth your time!
Donovan was a great teacher. Showing up to class is not exactly mandatory to pass, but it will help you a lot during your tests since pretty much all of the tests are based on his lectures. Almost every day there was something interesting he would talk about. I enjoyed his class a lot and would recommend anyone to take his class.
Dr Donovan wants to expand you viwes and programmed ways of thinking. He wants you to learn how the think abstractly. He is a very heplful teacher and will encourage you to visit him during office hours if you need help.
Great teacher. Very knowledgable in his area and gives great lectures. I would highly reccomend taking his class.
Amazing class, amazing professor! Super helpful, funny, and easy on the eyes. Pay attention to his lectures, and come to every class, it'll help with the exams.
This is a hard subject but don't worry because Donovan knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.
I took his online class and I don't recommend it at all. I'm sure he's a way better teacher in person but online is not the way to go for a his logic class. It was the first class I have ever failed.
I thought this logic class was going to be a cake walk. It was not. I'm an A student and I actually got a D on one of the tests. Definitely have to study but thats about the extent of it. Online discussions are easy. I had a family emergency that made me miss the final, he let me make it up almost 2 weeks later. Very clear, great teacher!
Logic is hard especially online. Donovan is an awesome professor. You have to post hw from textbook in a discussion forum which answers don't have to be right. If you ever have a question he will respond back to you in a timely mattter. He bends over backwards on exams. added points to exam#1 and curved final. Definetely recommend professor Donovan
Very helpful! Curves most exams and the only "homework" is the discussion boards. The subject is kind of hard, but not a bad class :)
philosophy 103 was much more difficult than I anticipated, but Mr. D was wonderful, gave out extra credit, curved the tests, and actually cared about his students doing well! Very helpful, kind, and admirable!
took 101 and 103 with him thesemester after. AMAZiNG. i love him and he made me love the field so much more. logic way much more difficult tha expected, but still very educating. i would highly reccomend taking any of his classes!
Philosophy 101. One of the easiest classes to pass because of him. Has you read, then goes over what we read the next day. I never looked at my books and got a 94 in the class. He was awesome
RECOMMENDED. Best professor thus far! His classes is worth coming to, makes philosophy interesting.
This class was hard! I took the 8 week class, so was condensed and I also took online - which made it very hard. i think if I would have had his lectures in person would have been better. He is very encouraging.
This class was not what I expected at all, but it ended up being pretty easy. I would not recommend taking it online because the concept is kind of confusing, but in class it is easy to understand. You don't have to attend class if you understand the section that you are on and classes usually get out early :)
I took this class online and for the most part it was easy up until the last chapter. Some of the stuff is EXTREMELY difficult. However, if you have a question he is quick to respond. Very encouraging. If you do the work and read the chapters you WILL pass. Definitely would take again.
He is perhaps one of my favorite teachers so far. I always looked forward to his class because I learned so much and always left the class feeling enlightened. He has an amazing sense of humor and I can tell he has a passion for what he does!
He is so sweet and has a sense of humor too! Philosophy is a hard class, but I got an A because he is really passionate about teaching it and is nice if you don't understand the material. LOTS OF READING , though.
He is SO sweet and is so intelligent. He is funny and he's pretty good at keeping the class entertained as well as enlightened. His tests are essays and you have to understand the material and concepts to get an A, but it is manageable. Would definitely recommend him. Plus he's not too bad to look at either
Definitely my favorite professor throughout my entire college experience. Not only is he passionate about the subject, he takes time to get to know his students and connect on a personal level too. Lectures are easy to follow and entertaining.
Donovan is a very smart and caring professor. Also really funny and helpful! My only problem with him is he goes over logic examples too quick so if you are struggling you will get behind! The tests are easy if you do the readings but attendance is mandatory or you'll fall behind! 10 page research paper at the end that you have to present.
I have taken his course on campus before but had to drop, now taking it online, and had to take him! His lectures are very clear, his sense of humor is awesome, and he's probably one of the kindest professors I've ever met!! I couldn't believe how much he goes out of his way for his students! He truly wants us to succeed! Recommend ofcourse!
Such a knowledgable and nice professor. Would highly recommend him!
he is a really nice teacher. :)
honestly was afraid this class was going to be hard, but it isn't. He uses that books so i recommend you get them, the tests are not hard, if you read and listen to lecture its a piece of cake. He is a great professor. laid back and down to earth
I took this course online to fulfill my transfer critical thinking req and I loved this course! It was difficult for others to grasp but I found it intriguing. This professor is great and very involved. He strives to make sure his students understand the material. Highly recommend.
The best teacher I've had here at msjc!! Tom is a very smart, sweet, funny, and a caring professor! He really goes out of his way for his students! He really wants you to pass his class. Also his lectures are very thorough. No homework except for reading. He is laid back but very caring. You wont regret taking him! I would totally take him again!
honestly one of the best teachers ive ever had! I had interest in philosophy, and now im arranging to meet up outside of class to learn more. He is all for it too, so way above and beyond for a teacher! You cant miss class though, or you will miss what he is looking for on the test. go to class, take notes, easy A!
Great professor. He replies to questions and emails fast. I took philosophy 103 Logic, some of it was simple and easy but it got hard towards the end. I had two 8 week classes including this one, so because my attention was mainly on my biology class, I received a B in this class, but I would definitely take him for course 101!
Professor Donovan was a great teacher. The discussion boards were easy. The tests are okay - hard, and he knows that so he tries to help you. However if you do not understand something, just write him an email and he will explain as clearly as possible with whatever you need help with. I would recommend him. Just be sure to understand the chapters
I came into this class thinking it was going to be though. Prof Donovan takes the time to help you out and cares about all his students. All his exams are lecture based so if you miss a day you wont have the notes for that exam. Readings are short and easy
Donovan is very laid-back. He'll help students any way he can to be successful in his class. Logic was a challenging class along with his tests but his lectures made it better to understand. If you miss class and you don't know what you're doing, you won't pass (esp. Logic). I would take him again!
Dr. Donovan is awesome! He's passionate about his work and the success of his students. He takes the time to unfold the assigned reading material. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you miss class you'll be lost. Try to engage yourself in his lectures. He's a smart man and wants you to succeed. I highly recommend Dr. Donovan! He is by far the best!
I loved his class! Lectures were decent and all of his exams or essay question came directly from his lectures or movies that we would watch. If you participate in class, sound like you halfway know what you're talking about and pay attention it is an EASY A. He opened my eyes to new ways of thinking, I wish I could take another semester with him!
Greatest teacher I've had in 15+ years of school. Passionate and funny. Acts tough but as long as you pay attention to his lectures you'll pass. Don't overthink his tests. Reading isn't necessarily important but sometimes necessary.
Easy lecture style- take notes on what he writes on the board. Also, often shows movies that are a great connection to the topic being discussed.
Mostly lecture on the philosophical text studied afterwards came a film which we had to make connections with the text. Tests we're 3 essays and 1 multiple choice. Final was a paper on all texts (don't worry it was easy). Other than that, I had a hard time getting used to the material, but he's a great professor.
This class is relatively easy if you work hard in school. Do the reading and take notes of it, some like sartre you will not get it at first so read it twice. His lectures are heavy and he writes sloppy so take as many notes as you can as he is talking. Email him a consensus of your notes before an exam and he will help you. He is a great teacher.
Donovan is interactive and hilarious. He's clearly passionate about Philosophy and wants to share this passion. Tests are relatively challenging, but not if you do all of the reading and take loads of lecture notes. Be prepared to do a lot of critical analysis, but Donovan makes his lectures fun and interesting, so class is enjoyable.
Professor Donovan is definitely the best professor I've ever had at MSJC. He is a bit intimidating but at the same time held a very comfortable class environment. Expect to read some books and write one paper. Overall I recommend that you should take him if you plan on taking Phil. Also he's super hot so yeah!
Donovan is an amazing teacher! He is clearly very passionate about philosophy and he makes class so interesting. He has a great sense of humor too! He makes one interested in Philosophy, although phil101 can be tough if you dislike reading. Get ready to read, and read more :D
This was more difficult than 101 but managed to get a better grade. His online 8-week course was heavy but passable. Each week builds off one another, one week is a quiz and the other is a one page paper. Professor was very helpful with wanting us to understand and even gave us videos to review. No ec.
Logic 103 was the easiest class that I ever took in all times that I've been in College. I took a short term online class. There is a discussion Board every week that is basically 30 problems from the chapters of the text book. It does not matter if is right or wrong as long as you submit you get the credit. 1 quizzes 1 final. Easy to pass.
Easily the best professor I've taken at MSJC and they have some excellent teachers! Took Donovan for 101 and 103 and learned to greatly respect philosophy and logic. The instructor is brilliant and very helpful if you ask for help. His lectures are amazing,, and he's very witty, and hot. No downside unless you hate reading.
He was the best teacher I've taken at MSJC! Super lecture heavy but he explains everything in detail and is very helpful if you don't understand the material. He's also got a pretty good sense of humor. Take him he's great
He was the best teacher he is cool and realistic. He lectures a lot but he is very helpful. I paid attention but it was very hard and challenging to say at least but I never gave up. He drops the lowest score. I would definetly take this class.
The class is all about paying attention to his lecture and reading! Definitely plan on using/buying the books or you'll struggle for sure. Don't plan on skipping because you will miss out on tons of info. The class was one of the more difficult classes I've taken but he made it more enjoyable with his humor!
One of my favorite professors at msjc! His class is lecture heavy but he makes it interesting and he's pretty funny. He doesn't take attendance however you should avoid skipping class if you can because everything he lectures is on the tests. If you take good notes and study you will be fine! Would definitely recommend Donovan
He was an amazing professor!! He cared about my grade and offered me a lot of extra credit opportunities if I was not happy with any exam grades! It is important to attend class but he doesnt take attendace. Take professor Donovan!
Donovan is hands down the best professor at MSJC! he is very helpful and offers extra credit when you need it. There is one writing assignment at the end of the course but it is super easy and his lectures are never boring. I would so take him again!
Professor Donovan is by far one of the best professors I have ever taken! Absolutely amazing! After taking his class, I was honestly debating whether or not to change my major to Philosophy. Take him, you will not regret it
I took him for PHIL103 Logic online short term. The work was reasonable. You definitely need the special edition book for MSJC and you will need to read. But the professor is great. I got sick and missed a test which took my B down to an F. I emailed him and he allowed me to make it up and I got an A. Definitely Recommend.
Seriously my favorite professor after 6 years of college. I took 3 Philosophy classes from him overall and although the classes grew harder and harder, the difficulty was countered with his excellent teaching. I had never had a teacher so funny and caring. He is there to answer any question and ensures you learn the subject perfectly!
Solid teacher. Took online. Personally, I did not enjoy the subject matter, which resulted in a higher difficulty rating. That's a personal preference and not a reflection of Professor Donovan at all. Overall, he is very organized, gives clear information, and responds quickly. Great online class experience. Recommended.
I have never had a better professor! I love him! He gets back to you in a timely manner. He's very caring. I would definitely recommend him!
Professor Donovan was such an inspiration to me. Before going into this class, I was not really interested in Philosophy but after I was 100% interested. He was extremely helpful if you had any questions or concerns about an assignment and also he was also very quick to respond to emails. Philosophy is not easy, but Professor Donovan makes it easy
Amazing teacher. His lectures are amazing and really get you thinking. He always listens to what students have to say and is accessible outside of class. If you really get along with him he might even let you borrow his philo movies outside of class
Professor Donovan is such an amazing teacher! Im so sad he doesnt reach the next class hes super fun caring amazing lectures. He is super understanding I was in the hospital a lot and he was super sweet. 10/10 would taking him again if you have him sit upfront we talks to the people up front the most and you can see how cool he is
Professor Donovan is great! He responds to emails and post grades very quickly. I took his class for critical thinking and I really learned a lot. The papers are easy, as well as the discussion post, I got "A+" on all of them. I slacked on studying for all the test which is what dropped my grade to a "B+".
Donovan is by far my favorite instructor at msjc. I did not look forward to his class but at the end of this semester I learned a new passion for philosophy. He makes class fun!! Bonus if you sit in the front row he will get to know you a lot and he is a really cool person. If given the chance deff take him , he is the best!
Great prof! I took phil online and he responded to my emails very quickly and was very responsive and nice. There wasn't too many assignments, you did need to read to understand, but it was online so that was expected. gave 2 chances on the tests. Even though I never met him, I can tell he is a great teacher. 100% would reccomend!
Professional Donovan is exactly what you'd expect of a philosophy professor. I loved his class and would take it again if I could. His class is fairly easy as long as you take good notes and pay attention. His notes are kinda messy, but easy to understand if you follow along. Super interesting course though!
Great professor. Assignments can be intense but will work with you in most cases. His class is deeply intellectual, but he is a caring professor whose only goal is to get you to succeed. Highly recommended.
He is a nice professor and super easy class. You can learned too much knowledge from him. If you do your best, you must get A. I would take his class again. I recommend everyone take his class.
I took Philosophy 101, first time ever taking philosophy and I was nervous for it. Turns out I enjoyed it so much especially with Professor Donovan because he is soooo nice and very helpful. I took his course for 8 weeks this Fall 2020 and it was super easy, Easy A. I highly recommend this professor no doubt! I will miss this class ):
I was taken PHIL 101 and PHIL 103 courses, I loved his courses. PHIL 101 was difficult class, he knew PHIL 101 class was very difficult, but do you best. If you watch his lectures and look at the notes, you can get A. He was caring, quick response if you have send the questions from canvas inbox or send his email.
2nd time taking one of his classes. Definitely knows what he is talking about. He does make you read but is generally interesting material. The book he required was actually written by him! Very easy to talk to. Not going to say its an easy A but if participate and listen to his lecture, you can get an A.
Incredible teacher and really interesting class. Prof Donovan is hands down my favorite teacher I've had. The reading can be a little difficult to understand because of the language used but his short and concise lectures make sure you understand everything. One creative writing assignment at the end of the course.
Professor Donovan has definitely peaked my interest in Philosophy. I took the accelerated version of this course and I wish I could have spent more time in his class! He makes philosophy fun and interesting! His lectures are also informative and entertaining! He also wrote a book which is a great read as well! You won't be disappointed in his class
overall pretty chill teacher and has an easy class it was really interesting
I took the 8 week course and it wasn't even a workload. It may seem confusing at first to understand the material but just read the lectures and book. Submit the discussion assignments on time. He doesnt even look at wrong or right answers just do it early on in the week and follow instructions on hw in the book. Quick grader
I took his class because the reviews made it seem like he was a good teacher, that wasn't the case. He's a very harsh grader, and for someone who teaches about how answers are inconsequential he sure is looking for a specific answer and if you don't give it to him he'll dock you points for it. Honestly was really disappointed with the course.
Cool teacher & lectures but I personally struggled w the quizzes/tests. Took them almost every week but the discussion post + responses are an easy A (requires quite some thought but it is interesting). Tests have a lot of T/F questions but are tricky & a bit open-ended. Rlly have to critically think & would recommend if you really want to learn.
I took the 8 week course. The test are hard but i feel as if he curves it and does other things to try and help with that. Its a confusing subject
Very simple class structure, 1 discussion post per week and a quiz every 2 weeks. Professor provides links to articles and posts lecture videos ~20mins or so.
Donovan is super cool! His entire course is based on discussion posts, along with 3-4 tests, and one paper. Some claim that he is a very tough grader. However, I found his work to be fair, especially while using critical thinking. This is one class that can have real life implications, and I wish I could have had more time with Donovan!
I took this class for my general ed, but I wouldn't suggest that to others, if philosophy isn't your field the material can come off very confusing and the professor doesn't exact ease that. If you do plan on philosophy or English this class is relatively straightforward. If you do take the class, take notes on the lectures, it'll be on the test
He was pretty generous with grading. Lectures helped A LOT with understanding material in the articles he wanted us to read. Questions on quizzes were a little confusing, but that's all I would say. Regardless, still relatively easy to pass the class.
Easy A. He's funny, smart, and awesome! Would take again! Easiest class everrrrrr and I've learned a lot!
Has a very good and nuanced way of explaining and teaching philosophy and has a very kind and accepting demeanor. Test questions were worded somewhat weirdly but they were still easy A's as long as you did the expected reading and work. I took an 8-week but if you're interested in the subject I would take the full course.
I love Professor Donovan, Easily my number #1 prof. at MSJC. You have to read material + lecture notes to pass. Test's are easy just pay attention to lecture. Extremely funny and charming guy. He's so passionate, he bounces off the walls. He is always fitted up, be prepared to get jump scared by a reference like reddit or onlyfans.
The quizzes were confusing and could have multiple answers to the questions. Not many assignments, so your grade relies on only a few things.
Great professor with a kind, accepting teaching style. Lectures are helpful, but tests can be tricky. Use unstuck study and critical thinking to do well. Easy A with attendance and discussions.
Mr. Donovan's Intro to Philosophy course was extremely easy, but I felt like I didn't learn a lot. The only assignments were segments of readings and 2 online tests (2 attempts each). His lectures are interesting but get a little off topic sometimes. We read about 3 readings in total. They were interesting, but overall it wasn't much.
Simple class: show up, do the work, and you will pass. Philosophy is open to interpretation, so you will get the grade if you participate.
Professor Donovan was a good professor and the class was easy. He gave good feedback on assignments.
Professor Donovan is amazing. He is effective, easy going, and doesn't give a lot of heavy work. I learned a lot in his intro to ethics class. He is one of my favorites!
Slam dunk of a professor. Super caring and engaging, not strict or requiring a lot of you. He just wants you to learn and that I did. Donovan is one of the best professors at MSJC! I have taken him twice now and both times he was amazing!
The lectures in this class were awesome. Every week, there was one discussion board with a prompt to respond to, and it was incredibly easy if you attended class. The professor took a lot of complicated concepts and ideas and made them simple enough for everyone to grasp. It was a lovely class and I'd recommend anyone to take it.
Very easy teacher. Homework can be canceled by attending classes. Homework is just a discussion post each week on a reading and your opinion on it. He's easy for socially awkward people, you could sit in the back and say nothing. Good lectures if you want to listen. Respectful guy, always showed up the second it turned 10AM (when class was).
Easiest 8wk course I took. One weekly reading, DB post and quiz. His lectures were also only like 20min vids and you can tell he really cares about what he teaches and wants you to think about these things you learn. The final was just a paragraph on which philosopher I enjoyed learning about the most during the course. Would take him again! :)
Lectures are very helpful and informative. The workload is light, which makes the class smoother and gives us more energy to learn.
